Normally, this is not the type of book I would choose for my reading time. However, I've gone through enough in my life that I felt drawn to this work. I'm so glad that I took the chance.
This is a powerful, well-written, at times brutally honest, inspirational story of redemption. The author's careful selection of Bible passages at the start of each chapter are well chosen. I found that to be a nice touch. He pulls no punches in describing his lifestyle and his demons. I admire that level of honesty. There is no shifting of blame. There is no glossing over the facts.
His transformation and salvation brought on through the Hand of God and the people he found at One Fire spoke to me on many personal levels, and I hope other readers have a similar experience.
