Miss Marni Mann had done it again ladies and gents. She has delivered another spicy good time and this time, the spice hits in the prologue! I repeat... THE SPICE HITS IN THE PROLOGUE. And listen that prologue sets the tone for this book. Do you know what else it did? It made sure that Marni stayed on her fairy smut mother throne.

But listen, if there is one thing about Marni Mann, I know exactly what I am getting with one of her books. We are going to have panty melting spice that comes along with a plot that will makes you not want to put the book down. The way that I picked this one up and devoured 60% in a matter of hours. I couldn't stop and I didn't want to stop.

I loved Colson and Sophie so much. Colson is our typical Marni overly confident billionaire alpha hole. He's ruthless when it comes to protecting his family and business, which is something Sophie quickly learns when she becomes his business rival. But listen, Sophie is a shark! This girl has no problem holding her own when it comes to Colson which only builds their budding sexual tension. Which these two quickly realize there is a very thin line between love and hate and it break with a good ole hate sex session 👀

At the end of the day, I gobbled this book up! Give me 5 more of them please! Now, I am so excited for our girl Eden's book next! We have gotten easter eggs of her story throughout this series and I am so excited to see what she has to tell!

Colson loves to rile her up and Sophie enjoys challengeing him at every turn. There is always an undercurrent of sexual tension that they both struggle to ignore. Between all the banter and spice there are sweet moments that will melt youir heart. I don’t know how this series keeps getting better with each book. Marni’s writing is so addictive that I can’t help but be consumed by her unforgettable characters, epic spice, witty banter, swoony romance, and the perfect amount of angst to keep you hooked.

I listened to the audio book. Of course, I'd prefer this in duet, but the narrators, Desiree Ketchum and Teddy Hamilton, are great as they are. I love the attitude they bring to these two. 🎧🩷🎧

I had an absolute blast with this one and honestly I couldn’t put it down.

Colson and Sophie pulled me in from the very beginning, and every chapter left me wanting just one more. Between the sizzling chemistry, sharp banter, and emotional moments, this was one of those books that completely took over my day in the best way.

Colson and Sophie were everything I wanted in an loathe to lovers romance. After one unforgettable night together, they find themselves on opposite sides of a legal battle, and the tension between them only gets better from there. I loved that Sophie could match Colson at every turn, and watching two strong, stubborn people slowly let their guards down made their relationship even more satisfying. Their connection as single parents, along with the sweet moments between their daughters, gave the story so much heart.

This had everything I love in a romance. Incredible chemistry, addictive tension, unforgettable banter, plenty of spice, and characters I couldn’t help but root for. Colson and Sophie were such a perfect match.

I finished this already desperate for the next book because this series somehow just keeps getting better. 😍

Sophie and Colson weren't expecting to see each other again after their super hot one night stand and Colson definitely wasn't expecting Sophie to be a shark of a lawyer for his rivals in a heated lawsuit. The tension and chemistry between these two was seriously off the charts. They were constantly being forced together for one reason or another. The was so much push and pull between them and their connection was undeniable. I loved the tension filled moments and how they kept challenging each other, but I also loved the sweet and tender moments they shared with each other and each of their daughters. They filled in each other's missing pieces. Sophie and Colson were perfect for each other and this was a great edition to the series.

She’s the definition of forbidden and Colton cannot stay away.

This was exactly the escape I needed. Colton and Sophie are fire and ice and their chemistry practically jumps off the page. The enemies to lovers banter? Loved it! The spice? Off the charts! I thoroughly enjoyed the push and pull between them and watching them slowly learn to trust each other.

My favorite part though was the single parent connection. Watching Colton and Sophie bond over their daughters added this soft, tender layer to all that tension and their girls are certifiably adorable.

I am so here for the Weston family, especially Eden. Her book cannot come soon enough!

When you pick up a Marni Mann book, you know you are going to get the extreme spice and a man that is all alpha. Especially with these Weston men. But be prepared, because Mann starts off with spice in the prologue. Are you ready??

The Irresistible One is the fourth book in The Weston Group series and it was like BAM right out of the gate with Colson and Sophie. They exchanged no names and didn't know who the other person was. Just a hot threesome in a club for one night. Until later when Colson walks into a meeting with his lawyers and their opposition who is represented by an all too familiar face. Only this time, she gives nothing and is an absolute shark in the boardroom. The insane chemistry they had at the s3x club is all but forgotten once they are on opposites sides and they are anything but friendly. But that tension translates to some hot and angry banter that I couldn't help but love.

"I love to hate you too, Sophie."

I gotta be honest here and the way this one started seemed quite familiar. Instant sex at a club? I wasn't sold. But then the way Mann took a million steps back and had them become enemies, fighting against one another? I loved it! I ate it up. Because once their paths crossed, they saw each other everywhere. And it wasn't all pleasant, even if the blonde shark captivated the opposition.

While I did have some thoughts initially, I loved the way Sophie and Colson were so tough and loved to hate each other when it came to work. You could feel their hate banter rising, but it was so full of sexual tension that you're just waiting for it to snap. When it comes to business, they are all business and going head to head, but then there is the added fact that their daughters attend the same gymnastics class and are now BFFs. A new and fun layer to add to the hate to love situation.

Two single parents that are on the opposite sides of a work situation filled with tension and some delicious hate f*cking, The Irresistible One is one hot ride with some good twists concerning the FMC. But like I said before, it starts hot and then slows down with a couple unexpected hook ups along the way. Even with those trysts, it almost felt like a slow burn to get them back to their initial attraction. That is, until we learn a bit more about Sophie's past and are introduced to her brother and her whole "found family" that she has back in Florida. I loved that aspect of her life and how it softened her a bit. It also brought Colson into it for a whole other reason. This part of the book gave some real meat to their story and showed how the characters grew over time.

Overall, this was a great addition to the series and I loved the hate to love scenario because of some workplace competition. To see two strong MCs that were also single parents, but also ended up being connected in different ways throughout was entertaining and made it that much more fun when they finally gave into the chemistry that was always there.

I love an enemies to lovers romance but finding a “real” one where they literally hate each other for at least half the book is so rare nowadays. This book delivered on all of that, the tension, the not so friendly/playful banter, and the eventual hate turning into love that I adore. The plot and chemistry were on point with this book, because their arguments basically became foreplay and the spice was burning hot. She’s the “shark” attorney against The Weston group and they HATE each other, but the attraction from their one night stand is still strong. I loved how they’re both so jealous it’s adorable, she only realises she actually likes him when she sees him with someone else and gets jealous. They’re both so oblivious and it’s hilarious to me. I also loved how they would just constantly see each other in random places coincidentally, like the universe was placing them together or something. Their banter was so entertaining, especially the first time with the whole Abby vs Abbi thing. Seeing their hate turn into love was a beautiful and so fragile thing, especially with the crazy plot twist that had me screaming. I admit though, the last 20% was pretty filler and although I loved the cute conclusion to their story it was a little dragged and the whole lawsuit was never actually settled. However I still really enjoyed this, especially with how cute Abbi and Ellie were, and I give this a 4/5

Then it was right down into the heart wrenching angst! It was wham-bam-angst-central. The pining and the will-they-won't they hit so damn hard...

But once the spice and sweetness began, it made all the angst worth it. The spice.. oh boy, it was steam on top of a steam fest!!!

Sophie Rivers ("The Shark"): A fierce, unapologetic black cat heroine. She is sharp-tongued and guarded due to a heavy past, but she is also a loving single mother fiercely protecting her little girl.

Marni Mann is the queen of alpha billionaires. You know you are going to fall for her MMC and The Irresistible One was no different. Colson is a single dad and part of The Weston Group. He helps run the operations but when they are faced against The Gordon’s and a lawsuit, they need to fight to keep their restaurants in operation. They come up against a tough lawyer, Sophie. Sophie is also a single parent.
Turns out they have a lot in common and have met before. Their lives continue to be entangled together and before they know it, the two cannot get each other out of their systems.
These two were electric from the start. They had amazing chemistry, banter and spice. I just loved them together and their interactions were filled with tension, spicy moments, as well as, sweet ones too.
Their daughters brought out the best in each and their interactions were so cute. I just love single parent stories.
There is lots of drama throughout the story and twists throughout which I am here for. I loved the push and pull and the will they or won’t they have the story.
I have loved all the books in this series and The Irresistible One is no different.
This is a billionaire, single parent, forbidden, enemies to lovers romance. It is a hot and spicy read!

This book deserves all the stars as it was so addictive. I absolutely loved it. Marni Mann has become one of my favourite authors. She just knows how to write billionaires and I'm hooked on her every word. I escape in the worlds she creates and I cannot get enough!

This was such a heartwarming story that has a spicy start. Colson who is a single Dad and Sophie who is a single mum collide together to have the most wonderful family. They are probably one of my favourite couples that Marni has written. They hit a spot so deep and I felt so connected to them.

Colson and Sophie meet at Lush and spend a very spicy evening together. It was one night that neither have been able to forget. But then they keep bumping into each other. Firstly through their daughters and at Gymnastics club. But the don't see eye to eye when Sophie is the opposing lawyer when the Weston's are being sued. This provides such a fun setting and a lot of push and pull and wittu banter.

The way their relationship develops over time was great. They went from lust, to hate, to love and throughout it all was their chemistry.

Sophie was a real tough cookie and there was lots of amusing banter from her. Colson was yummy. But their love of their daughters will melt your heart. And so will the love they have for one another.

I have absolutely loved the Weston Group series, and Colson's story was everything I hoped it would be. It kicks off with undeniable chemistry from the very first chapter, and somehow the story only gets better from there.

The attraction between Colson and Sophie is instant, making it impossible not to get invested. But things quickly become complicated when they find themselves on opposite sides of the boardroom. Sophie is fierce, ambitious, and absolutely ruthless when it comes to her career, while Colson and his family are just as determined not to back down. Their sharp banter and constant clashing had me smiling the entire time, and every argument only fueled the chemistry simmering between them.

One of my favorite parts of the story was that both Colson and Sophie are devoted single parents. Their daughters completely stole my heart and added so much warmth and humor to the story. Sophie has overcome so much in her past to build the life she has now, and I really connected with the walls she has built around her heart. Watching her slowly learn to trust again made her journey feel incredibly authentic and emotional.

The chemistry between Colson and Sophie practically sets the pages on fire. Logic tells them they should stay away from each other, but the pull between them is impossible to ignore. Their relationship is filled with tension, passion, and emotional growth, making every moment together worth the wait. I completely devoured this book and couldn't turn the pages fast enough.

Please let me tell you, this is my favorite book of the series and unlike any other Marni book! She absolutely outdid herself with Colson book. I listened the audio on release day because I need to listen to this book also. It was absolutely amazing. I can’t wait for the next book in the series.

The Weston family is quickly becoming one of my favorite families from Marni! Be ready because this book is spicy!! This was such a good read! I love single dad books and Colson is definitely one of my favorites! He is so sweet with his daughter Ellie and she just has him rapped around her finger! On the other hand Sophie is also a single mom to the a cutie of a daughter. Ironically, their daughters are best friends.

Marni Mann has done it again! I loved returning to the Weston family, and Colson's story was everything I hoped for. As a sucker for single parent romances, I loved watching both Colson and Sophie put their daughters first while slowly opening their hearts to each other.

Sophie's resilience and determination, shaped by her difficult childhood, made her such an easy character to root for. Colson's own past left him just as guarded, but seeing their walls come down and their relationship evolve into something full of trust, love, and a beautiful blended family was incredibly rewarding.

And that ending? I've been waiting for Eden's story, and now I need her book even more!

The Irresistible One is book four in the Westin Group series, and it follows Sophie and Colson.

Marni just gets it. She wasted absolutely no time bringing the heat, and the chemistry between Sophie and Colson was off the charts from the very first chapter.

After one unforgettable night together at Lush, Colson walks into a meeting the next day only to discover that the opposing lawyer is none other than Sophie. Talk about awkward… and incredibly entertaining. The tension between these two was unmatched, and their banter was top-tier. Every interaction had me smiling.

Neither of them can stop thinking about the other, no matter how hard they try. And when Colson discovers that their daughters are best friends? Let’s just say he isn’t about to let the opportunity to get closer to Sophie slip away.

I loved the push-and-pull between these two. The chemistry, the tension, the flirting, it all kept me completely invested. Marni knows exactly how to balance swoony romance and sizzling spice!

I already know the audiobook is going to be incredible, and I can’t wait to experience this story all over again.

Colton and Sophie were fire! I love a good enemies to lovers story and this book did not disappoint. This author’s fast becoming one of my favorites. When these two meet at Lush, there’s just something about Sophie that draws him in and what happens there usually stays there until it doesn’t. Never did he think he’d walk into a meeting with his lawyer and see Sophie walk in as the lawyer for the other party. What Colson didn’t expect was the fire, passion and boldness Sophie has and that my friend is the start of it all. I loved the banter, loved their girls who were besties even though they loathed each other. This was a fun, sexy read I couldn’t put down. Loving this series.

Colson Weston. Single dad, billionare, and soft dom. The Weston brothers do not disappoint, thats for sure. The single dad trope is one of my favorites, and Colson is perfection.
Sophie Rivers is a shark of an attorney. She is a fierce single mom, she wants to be dominated in the bedroom(never in the courtroom), and things get messy because she represents the Weston's competition.
If you love great banter, a true enemies to lovers, elite adult club, and single parent romance, this is your book.
This is the fourth book in this series and I will be sad when its over. Marni has created such great characters who each bring their own flair to the table.

OH YESSSSS!! I believe this book is my favorite in the series (so far).

The Irresistible One is Colson's story, just as much as it is Sophie.

Marni sets the stage of this book with the prologue. And let me tell you, this book is explosive both in and out of Lush. WOW!!

I want to say so much about this book because it is sooooo mouth-watering good. The Weston Group is being sued and Colson is one who is running lead on this one. And then he comes face-to-face with the attorney looking to take it all from his family's law firm - Sophie.

These two are fire both in their respective jobs and when they're at Lush, living out their desires.

GAH!! That is all I am saying - just read this one!!

Figuring out who they are to each other after the deed was done is my favorite. Loathe-to-love ✔️ It stokes the “off limits” fire and makes it sizzle that much more!

The Irresistible One is book 4 in The Weston Group series by Marni Mann. This one follows Colson and Sophie. After having a good night in a unique club two months prior, Colton comes to find out the woman he can’t forget about, is exactly the one he can’t have. I loved this book so much! The banter and chemistry between Colson and Sophie was top notch. But I also like how she was alpha through and through. I was completely mesmerized in this story and read it in less than 24 hours. I couldn’t anticipate how things between Colson and Sophie would develop and I loved that. I loved, loved this one so much and now I cant truly wait for the next book to come out.

Now sparks are flying everywhere, not the least of which is a hell of a lot of attraction to go with the enemies vibe.



Sophie has very specific reasons for her rep as a closed off shark. She too has a daughter as her number one priority, and everything else falls behind. She doesn't have time or the inclination for love or relationships either, until she keeps running into the man representing her clients' biggest rival, the man she had the most insanely delicious encounter with. The hate between them is real, but so is their chemistry, and she's having a hard time resisting Colson's particular brand of alpha dominance. But being on the opposite sides of a fight isn't making it easy for this would be couple, and they'll have to decide if they can overcome this very real obstacle.



Whew, let me tell you, the spice starts in the very beginning between Colson and Sophie and it is five alarm hot!! Then we take a step back a bit but not in intensity, because their enemies vibe is positively delicious and did nothing to disguise their very real connection, regardless how they fought it due to their rivalry. I think Marni's alphas are some of my favorite - they're all so deliciously dominant, used to getting what they want, how they want, and who they want, so when they fall, they're down so bad I can't help but cheer on the lucky person who's bringing them to their knees. Sophie is a badass, and her sharklike ways were effective in more than just a legal sense, she tilted Colson off his axis and he was never the same after. Their two daughters are adorable, brining a sweetness to the story, and the way they blended their families made for an emotional, heartfelt story that brims with chemistry amped up to ridiculously yummy highs.

🎧 ALC REVIEW

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

First of all, a huge thank you to Marni Mann and Valentine PR for trusting me with this ALC. Getting to experience another Weston book through audio was such a treat, and honestly... this audiobook reminded me once again why immersive reading is my favorite way to experience romance.

Let's start with the audio because... Teddy Hamilton.

At this point, I genuinely don't know what else I can say about this man that I haven't already screamed a hundred times before. Teddy Hamilton narrating an audiobook is quite simply perfection. Even though this wasn't narrated in duet, he once again proved why he's one of the very best. The way he transitions between characters, especially his female voices, is honestly unmatched. Every conversation feels completely natural, every emotion lands exactly where it should, and Colson completely came to life through his performance. I hit play... and before I knew it, I had listened for hours without stopping. That is the Teddy Hamilton effect, and I will never get tired of it.

And then there was Desiree Ketchum...

This was actually my first time listening to her, and wow... what an introduction.

Her voice is incredibly sweet, but she has this amazing ability to completely change the tone depending on the scene. She made every emotional moment hit harder, every funny exchange even funnier, and then came the spicy scenes...

Jesus.

When she tells him to crawl...

And later, when she simply says, "Good night."

I actually yelled.

I physically jumped.

That scene will live rent-free in my head for a very, very long time.

She portrayed Sophie beautifully. Strong, intelligent, ambitious and confident when she needed to be, while still allowing us to see every vulnerable side of her. I honestly couldn't have imagined a better voice for her.

As for the story itself... I think it's safe to say that Marni Mann has earned a permanent place among my favorite billionaire romance authors.

Every single book somehow feels better than the last, and I honestly don't know how she keeps doing it. Her writing is addictive, incredibly well structured, effortlessly funny and filled with characters that feel real. She manages to balance laugh-out-loud banter, emotional depth, unforgettable chemistry and absolutely top-tier spice in a way that very few authors can.

And can we please appreciate the fact that...

The spice starts in the prologue.

THE PROLOGUE.

Marni didn't waste a single second reminding us exactly why she deserves to sit on her fairy smut mother throne.

Colson and Sophie were absolutely everything I wanted them to be.

Their chemistry is explosive from the very beginning, and once they discover they're standing on opposite sides of a legal battle, the tension only becomes even more delicious. Watching them constantly challenge each other, exchanging witty remarks while trying very hard to ignore their attraction, was honestly one of my favorite parts of the book. They're like oil and water, yet somehow fit together perfectly.

I absolutely loved Sophie. She refuses to let Colson intimidate her, matches his confidence every single time, and never backs down from a challenge. And Colson... beneath all the billionaire confidence and charm, he's such a devoted father. Some of my favorite moments were actually the quieter family scenes, especially the gymnastics incident that had me laughing out loud.

But what I loved most is that, beneath all the spice and the banter, this story has so much heart.

That quote perfectly captures so many moments between these two.

And then this one...

*"But I want the partnership too. The friendship. The companionship. I want the emotional and physical support. I want to share my life with someone."*

I honestly think that's what this book is really about.

Finding the person who becomes your home.

The Irresistible One ended up being exactly the comfort read I didn't know I needed. It made me laugh, blush, smile, and completely lose track of time. It has unforgettable characters, delicious tension, brilliant banter, emotional moments that genuinely touched my heart and enough spice to leave me grinning like an idiot more than once.

Marni Mann has officially become one of those authors whose books I'll pick up without even reading the blurb, because I know she's going to deliver every single time.

And now...

Can someone please give me the next Weston book already? Because I am officially obsessed.

Ah, Colson may well convince himself that ‘I didn’t date. I didn’t waste my energy and effort on that bullshit,’ but as it turns out, he’s completely unaware that he’s about to meet the love of his life at Lush, the place he always goes to and where he focuses solely on sex.

Colson is such a flirt that I just want to scream. His charisma, which swept every man off his feet at the sex club, also stole Sophie’s heart. But what is that chemistry between them!!!! We can tell just how randy he is from the answer he gave when Sophie asked him what he’d like to drink.

“The drink I’m going to pour all over your body and lick off.”

But Sophie is exactly the sort of woman who’s a perfect match for Colson, both in words and in heart. She’s a real firecracker!! Lead the way, queen – I was so captivated by her self-confidence, her passion for her own pleasures, and the strength and desire she feels to get exactly what she wants, that I might well have fallen in love with her just as much as Colson has. They’re literally a FIRE-AND-FLAME COUPLE

The fact that Colson couldn’t get Sophie out of his head after the night they’d spent together, and then, on the very day he went to meet with the rival company, realising that the fiery blonde he couldn’t stop thinking about was actually their rival’s solicitor, was a proper ‘OH SHIT!’ moment.

Oh, the scene that made me laugh the most and which I enjoyed the most was the encounter between Colson and Sophie at the gymnastics class their children attend. Ellie doesn’t want to go because she’s constantly being bullied by a girl called Abby at the gymnastics class, whilst Colson goes to the class to teach Abby and her mum a lesson. When he sees Abby, he turns to her mum – who is our Sophie – and gives her a proper telling-off, questioning her very mothering skills. Just then, Ellie turns up with Abby, and wouldn’t you know it – it’s fate —Abbie, but with an ‘I’, is Ellie’s closest friend, whereas the bully, Abby, is the one with an ‘Y’. The shock Colson experienced in that moment and Sophie’s bullying of her to make her apologise were so effective that

Despite the predicament Sophie had put Colson and his family in, using all her legal skills, Colson could not stop himself from desiring Sophie; and no matter how much Sophie told Colson that it was just a one-off and that she didn’t care about him or anything to do with him, she couldn’t help but be drawn to him

“seven orgasms were insignificant to you.I think you were trying to convince yourself that they had meant nothing since the enemy was the one who had given them to you.”

And because Colson knew exactly this—and because he could sense how Sophie’s body longed for him—he never hesitated to tease her and remind her of that night

The Irresistible One follows Colson Weston and Sophie Rivers, two people who unknowingly share one unforgettable night together before discovering they're actually on opposite sides of a legal battle. What starts as pure physical attraction quickly turns into something much more complicated as they're forced to face each other professionally while trying to ignore everything that happened between them.

𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗖𝗛𝗔𝗥𝗔𝗖𝗧𝗘𝗥𝗦
Colson was honestly one of my favorite parts of this book. He's confident, dominant, incredibly protective, and knows exactly who he is. On the surface, he's the stereotypical alpha billionaire, but there's so much more to him. He's a devoted dad, deeply loyal to his family, and surprisingly thoughtful beneath all that confidence.
What I appreciated most was that even after meeting Sophie outside of Lush, his feelings didn't magically erase his responsibilities. He genuinely struggled between what his heart wanted and what his family needed.

Sophie absolutely held her own. She's brilliant, ambitious, and completely fearless in the courtroom. I loved that she never became "the love interest" first. She was always a successful lawyer who knew her worth. Watching her dominate negotiations while secretly battling her attraction to Colson made her really fun to read. She never loses herself because of Colson. That's something I always appreciate in romance heroines.

𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗥𝗘𝗟𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡𝗦𝗛𝗜𝗣 + 𝗥𝗢𝗠𝗔𝗡𝗖𝗘
Individually, both Sophie and Colson are fantastic characters. They're mature, capable, and easy to root for.
The chemistry between these two? Absolutely there. From their very first meeting, the attraction is explosive, and every interaction between them is filled with tension. Their banter is fun, and I loved the forbidden aspect of their relationship. Two people literally working against each other while trying not to fall for each other is such a good setup.
But somehow...it just didn't completely click for me.
Even though I could see them falling in love, I never felt myself falling in love with their story. Their relationship develops in a believable way, but it lacked that emotional pull that usually makes me obsessed with a couple. I kept waiting for that moment where I became completely invested, and it just never happened.
Ironically, the romance wasn't bad at all, it simply didn't leave a lasting impact on me the way the previous books in the series did.
This is honestly the hardest book for me to rate because I really don't think it's a bad book.

𝗙𝗜𝗡𝗔𝗟 𝗧𝗛𝗢𝗨𝗚𝗛𝗧𝗦
The plot is solid, the legal rivalry adds something different, and both Colson and Sophie are genuinely amazing characters. The writing is great, the chemistry is undeniable, and there are plenty of entertaining moments.
But for some reason, I just found myself...a little bored.
Not because nothing happened, but because I never connected emotionally with the story. It didn't have that addictive quality that made the other books in this series impossible to put down.
What's funny is that this series is one of my all time favorites, which probably made my expectations even higher. So while I still enjoyed reading The Irresistible One, it ended up being my least favorite installment so far.
I'd absolutely still recommend it to anyone reading the series because it's an important part of the Weston family story, and if you're already invested in the characters, you'll probably have a great time. It just wasn't the one that stole my heart.

The Irresistible One is book 4 of The Weston Group series and follows Colson Weston as he falls fast and hard for his family's worst enemy, Sophie.

Colson is a single, girl dad. His daughter, Ellie, is in gymnastics and best friends with Abbi, with an I. He does not have time for hookups or relationships, as business and his daughter take up all of his time. So when the need hits, he goes to a club to take care of his needs.

Sophie is a single mom to a daughter, Her daughter, Abbi, is in gymnastics and best friends with Ellie. She left her family after high school to attend college and become a lawyer. Troy, who she grew up with also came with her to attend college and become a lawyer. Since they work for different firms, they have gone up against each other many times. She is described as a shark and she gets what she wants for her clients. Since she does not have a lot of extra time for hookups or relationships, she purchased a membership to a club to quench her needs.

One night, Colson meets two women at the club, but one of them has his full attention. After a night of fun, he goes home, but he cannot get her out of his mind. Maybe he will run into her again at the club. What he does not expect is to run into her at the mediation meeting he has the next day. Especially when he finds out that his lawyer, Troy, knows her and she is the opposing lawyer.

Colson does not agree with the lawsuit his family is fighting. After going back and forth between the lawyers, an agreement is finally made. So he decides to take a trip to Florida to look at some new yachts. Knowing full well that the person he is talking to is also Sophie's brother. But Troy was the one referring him. So talk of Sophie is off the plate. Until ...

Dinner the first night he is in Florida is entertaining. Usually Colson would be taken to dinner by the broker he is meeting with. But since he is unavailable, his business partners take Colson to dinner. And what a pleasant surprise he gets when he arrives at the restaurant.

The second night Colson is in Florida, he meets with the Director of East Coast Operations for his family company. Another entertaining evening as he is spotted there with a woman, which sets off a flurry of text messages that do not make sense to him.

But when the company that the Weston's were negotiating with reveals their true plans in a press release, the Weston's go on the offensive. It is time to fight fire with fire.

Will Colson and Sophie be able to find their way back to each other? Will she end up losing her job due to conflict of interest? Will he lose his ever loving mind over the betrayal he feels from the true nature of the lawsuit? How will this affect their children's friendship?

Colson and Sophie are HOT!!! The animosity at the beginning is understandable, but they manage to work past it. Sadly, for her, it is still a conflict of interest since she is still counsel for the enemies of the Westons.

Colson is a super-protective dad. When he finds out that his daughter had an issue with Abby, with a Y, at gymnastics, he attends her class the next day. And confronts the mother of the wrong child. Talk about an oopsie.

Somehow these two make it work. And I loved seeing Troy work some magic for Sophie. Everyone knows Colson and Sophie belong together, they just have to figure out how to make it work. I cannot wait to see more of these two in the next Weston book.

Teddy Hamilton has been in my ears a lot lately, but he makes each books its own. I love listening to him since he can be so versatile. I loved Desiree Ketchum as Sophie. The hard nosed lawyer in contrast to the loving mom, in contrast with the adventurous woman. And her child's voice for Abbi was fantastic.
