There’s an expiration date to their proximity. Is that enough to extinguish the explosive chemistry between them?
Madison Wheeler is the definition of a responsible adult, living and working in Kansas City—right up until her life implodes. Convinced by her best friend Clara, she retreats to the small town of Noel for a reset. If Clara’s Christmas spirit managed to save the town last year, maybe that same magic could rescue Madison’s unraveling future.
Liam Park is sent to Noel for a short-term work assignment, and he is not happy about the destination. When he crosses paths with Madison, he’s intrigued by the sassy woman who doesn’t back down from a good verbal sparring. But Liam refuses to truly open up to a temporary acquaintance. He refuses to open up to anyone.
Despite their attempts to maintain distance, the fiery tension between them only grows. Will they ultimately push each other away or embrace the pull they can’t deny?
Joy to Noel is a small town Christmas romance. Readers who enjoy sassy banter, holiday vibes, and a hefty dose of forced proximity will enjoy this story. You'll find all the swoon with no spice in this closed-door contemporary romance.
This is the second book in the "Christmas in Noel" series. While written as a standalone, reading the books in order will provide the best reader experience.
See Author's Note for minor content considerations.
Madison Wheeler thrives on being the responsible one–planning and organizing her life is the key to her success. But when she loses her proofreading job to AI, Madison’s world in Kansas City begins to crumble. The last thing she wants to do is move back home to rural Nebraska, so she takes up her best friend’s offer to temporarily move to Noel (pronounced Nole like hole), Arkansas, until she can get back on her feet. Apparently, the magic of Christmas saved the small town of Noel; maybe it can save Madison’s wobbly future, especially when there’s a handsome neighbor across the road who pushes her to chase her dreams.
The last thing Liam Park wants to do is go back to Arkansas, let alone a small town where gossip is the main source of information. But he has a job to do, which is to find the mistakes that are hurting a pet food factory that desperately needs his help. It should be easy–find the mistakes, come up with a solution, and then he can head back to Houston. But Liam did not prepare for the sassy and beautiful neighbor who turns his calculated world upside down.
Buckle up, y’all. This is going to be a long ride. 😅
Whoo, I need to relax and fan my blushing face because ho-ly cow I was not expecting this book to be so freaking cute and so freaking good! I mean, I shouldn’t be surprised; I read a book by Tracy Baack a few months ago and really enjoyed the sweet, closed-door romance. But this one was different. It hit different. Maybe because I’ve been struggling to finish books lately, so finally finding a book that kept me interested made me super excited. But I will admit, I totally forgot I was supposed to read this until I got an email saying I needed to review the book. 😅 Freaking out, I pulled up the ARC and got to reading.
I’m just going to get this off my chest: Liam is SO FREAKING HOT!! 🥵🫦 I was thirsting over that man more times than I’d like to admit. 😂 I don’t really swoon over male characters in books. Movies and shows are an entirely different matter–I mean, don’t get me started on Colin Firth in the 1995 Pride and Prejudice or Bill Pullman in While You Were Sleeping! Sure, I admire and congratulate them on being a great guy like Mr. Darcy, Captain Wentworth, and some other characters I can’t remember at the moment, but never have I ever been so–what’s the word?–protective, defensive, and attracted to a character like I was (or am) with Liam. And it’s not just his looks, which are a big part of it, and I totally agree with Madison–the man needs to constantly wear suits because they suit him well. 😂 But he was a great and sweet guy. I really liked him and even related to him because I, too, am a steel trap. I don’t like to share personal stuff about myself to anyone, not even close family members. And when I do, I immediately regret it and want to take back every word I said, even though it’s too late. I guess it stems from a lot of distrust and hurt from the past or whatever, but I’m working on it, like Liam did. Anyway, that’s enough sharing crap about me. Let’s get back to the book. 😏
The romance! The chemistry! The longing! It was all there, and it delivered! They were perfect for each other, and I was rooting for them and their relationship from the very beginning. Ugh, I love this book so much! 😭❤
The other characters, like Madison, Clara, and their other friends, were fantastic.😍 I loved everyone, and I want to see them again! I sincerely hope there will be more romances set in the small town of Noel. Although this wasn’t set solely during Christmas time, there were still plenty of festive things to keep the Christmas cheer prevalent throughout the book. I honestly can’t find anything wrong with it. Except for there being a lot of huffing, puffing, and rolling of the eyes, it didn’t get on my nerves, and it didn’t ruin my reading experience. ☺ The writing was easy to read, the story flowed well, and it was structured perfectly. And Hamlet the cat is THE BEST! I absolutely loved him! 😍
Have I said that I loved this book? Well, I do, and I highly, highly recommend this closed-door, small-town romance that left me smiling from ear to ear. Oh, and the bonus epilogue? Loved it! I can’t get enough of Liam and Madison. 🥰
Thank you so much to Tracy Baack for inviting me to read the ARC in exchange for an honest review! All opinions and statements are my own.
❗Content Warnings❗ Mentions childhood bullying and postpartum depression. Swearing: No Spice: No–just a lot of kissing. (🌶/5)
The chemistry between these two was off the charts! Tracy really nailed the banter, some of the best I’ve read, and without leaning on the typical enemies-to-lovers trope. Instead, it had more of a friends-to-lovers vibe, which made it feel fresh and genuine. I was completely hooked!
Madison is back in Noel, regrouping after her editing job falls through and trying to figure out her next move. Enter Liam, her new neighbor, who's only in town temporarily to help save the local pet food company. From the moment Madison and Liam meet, the spark is undeniable. But despite their instant connection, both are hesitant. Madison doesn’t know where her career will take her next, and Liam is only sticking around until the job is done. Neither of them is in a place to risk getting too involved… but their chemistry is impossible to ignore. And with all the forced proximity? Yeah, those walls start crashing down FAST. And when a situation moves them from neighbors to roommates....things get just that much more interesting!
Once I started reading, I couldn't put it down, I literally took it with me everywhere until I finished!
I am now super curious....will Hana get a love story one day? Will Liam even let her?! Lol!
You all... Hammie, the Shakespeare quotes, the coffee/tea dates, the competitions, kisses, texts back and forth, the banter. Yeap, you WILL want to read this.
I received a complimentary copy of this book. This review reflects my honest opinion.
I so enjoyed last year's Saved by Noel, so I was more than a little excited to take another trip back to the little town of Noel this year! And this trip was every bit as enjoyable as the first! Liam and Madison were so cute together... I loved the back and forth between them. Neither was afraid to tell it like it is. I loved how very supportive Liam was of Madison and her business right from the very start, and how she encouraged him to open himself up, something that certainly did not come easily for him. Their story really felt like finding a home, and it kept me smiling from start to finish. Unlike many Christmas books, the bulk of this story doesn't actually take place over the holiday season, but over nearly a year. Still, there's plenty of Christmas cheer throughout the entirety of this story! I loved that this allowed us to see their relationship evolve a little more slowly over time... while still keeping all the holiday goodness I love. It's a perfect read for the holiday season... but also perfect for those readers like me who love reading Christmas stories all year long too!
Joy To Noel is a closed-door romance with kisses only and no language. It is the second book in the Christmas in Noel series. While it could definitely be enjoyed as a standalone, you might have a bit better understanding if you've read the previous book as well.
**ARC received for consideration. All opinions are my own.
My Quick Takes: - 5/5 stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ - Genre 📚 Christmas romance - Language 🤐 none - Spice ❤️🔥 kisses only - Content 🤔 childhood bullying
I loved revisiting the small town of Noel for Madison’s story.
Madison’s fiery character absolutely deserved her own love story, and the energy she brought was perfect. The main male character has an international past and cultural “baggage” that added great depth and development. The Shakespeare references were super fun, made me feel very cultured while reading this narrative.
Both of Baack’s Christmas romances have a full year timeline which I really enjoy as a reader, it sets them apart from other Christmas books that happen in the November-December timeframe window. This can be read as a stand alone but I’d recommend reading the first book, Saved by Noel, first because the plot of Joy to Noel does heavily draw on the first book and has a lot of repeat characters.
Forever a fan of Baack’s writing and clean contemporary romances!
ARC Review ✨ First I would like to say a big thank you to Tracy for letting me be apart of this ARC Team! Rate: 5/5⭐️ Spice: 0/5🌶️
What to expect when reading Joy to Noel; -Forced Proximity -Found Family -Small Town -Strangers x Lovers -Christmas Romance -Closed Door
This is book two of the Christmas in Noel series! You get to follow Madison and Liam. let me tell you Tracy has done it again! Madison is type a perfectionist in a way and when her world is flipped upside down and no plan what do you do? The last place Liam wants to be is a small town but now he is stuck there. This is such a perfect holiday read! It’s funny, and heartfelt, I just loved everything about this. The flow of the story. Perfect! their chemistry kinda reminds me a lot of my husband and I, which I got a kick out of. Also the ending I could read over and over again lol
Side notes: -the laser pointer 😂 -Hammie!!!!!!
Fav Quote: •”Where are my flowers?” •”Fiery Madison is my favorite version of any human I’ve ever met”
Make sure you get your copy of the book when it releases Nov. 5th💚
Well well she has done it again. When I tell you, I been waiting for this. We all loved Madison when we met Clark and Clara, but having her own story come to life without know what it was about was the best thing ever. I love her story, how's everything unfolded to what she needed now that she had made it to Noel. This town is truly magical and of course having your best friend being a Christmas lover will make you feel more at home. But can we talk abput Liam? Well I won't tell you much if you havent read the blurb but boy has this man made me so happy he is here. He is everything and more, he is all Madison needed but she didnt even know it. Plus they meet at Noel, of course this was going to happen. When I tell you, you need to read this story. You just have to, is wroth every bit of it. Even the bonus chapter♥︎ Tracy is awesome at what she does, I would read anything she writes. I mean story after story she has created some of my favorite love stories♥︎
Thank you Tracy for continuing to give me the opportunity to be apart of your ARC teams.
I truely love this book. Tracy writes the best men. Madison and Liam have a great and realistic relationship progression. The nicknames are super cute.
I love how it is a Christmas book without it being set in only December.
It was great to see how Clara and Clark’s relationship developed and see their married life in this book.
Joy to Noel had me giggling, crying and smiling. Highly recommend for your next holiday read.
⭐️5 ~ARC review~ If you want a book with a swoony man, a cute cat, a dash of Christmas magic [of course], and brewing romance that will have you giggling at 1 am this book is for you.😆 Maddie and Liam were THE CUTEST!🥰 Absolutely love both of them and seeing their growth was amazing. I loved Maddie and Clara’s Christmas obsession.🤭 Seeing Maddies struggles made me feel so seen🥹 I absolutely loved seeing Clark and Clara in this book as well🥹 I cannot wait to see this book be released to the world!🤭 I would really really recommend you read this book😉🩷
tropes: ♥️Christmas romance 🎄fiery & sassy FMC ♥️cat daddy MMC 🎄small town ♥️forced proximity 🎄roommates ♥️found family 🎄he protects her ♥️parallel personalities 🎄nicknames

Do I love every book that Tracy Baack writes? Yes. Does that make me a tad biased in my love of this book? Maybe. But once again Tracy Baack has written a book that I adore!
I love Madison, and she is both me, and who I want to be at the same time. And then you have Liam and his absolutely adorable cat Hamlet (don't call him Hammie) who absolutely stole the show! They have such good banter (Madison and Liam [and] Madison and Hamlet) and I loved seeing all of these characters interact on the page.
Watching Liam and Madison grow as a couple (and gain cute nicknames, MJ and Suits anybody?) and figure out how they work together and how the future will come together was phenomenal and wasn't ready for this book to end! Now I just have to figure out how I'm going to survive until I can reread these books again!
Madison and Liam both end up in the little town of Noel for very different reasons. But the also end up living very close to each other in two little glamping huts. And their undeniable chemistry catapults them into all kinds of difficult territory.
Tracy Baack did it again: she wrote another 5⭐️ romance which i devoured within 24 hours.
I loved both the FMC and the MMC. With Tracy's books I always think the current couple is my favorite. But atm this couple truly is my favorite! They are both unapologetically themselves, enhance the best in each other and truly push each other to do and be better from the moment they meet. And once they actually become more than friends 🔥🔥🔥
We also see some beloved characters from book 1 in the series and get glimpses into their happily ever after ❤️
I loved this book so much, I will probably reread it under the Christmas tree in 2 months 🎄
Thank you, Tracy, for continuin to allow me to arc read your books. They NEVER disappoint and could pull me out of any reading slump
This is the second story in her Noel series but can read as a standalone!
Madison has just lost her job and is trying to figure out her way in life. Liam has it all planned out - a great job that pays well, a big city life, and a great cat as a companion. When they're temporarily living near each other they have no idea what the future will hold and the twist their life is about to take!
This is a beautiful and funny story filled with plenty of banter and wit, great friends and family, and a beautiful love story! You'll find yourself relating to Madison & Liam in different ways throughout and find yourself wishing they were your friends and that you lived in the town of Noel!
This book releases in a few weeks but you can preorder now and be among the first to read this fun Holiday-themed no-spice rom-com! ☺️ I highly recommend!
Madison has been laid-off (and replaced by AI!), and is persuaded by her best friend Clara to come to Noel for a reboot. Maybe Clara's Christmas magic can work on Madison as well? At the same time Liam Park arrives to Noel for a short-term work assignment. He doesn't enjoy the small town, but when he meets Madison he's instantly drawn to her sass. Their playful banter becomes the highlight of the day for Liam, but he refuses to let Madison or anyone else get close.
This is the second book in the series, but works as a standalone (the prologue gives a good summery of the first book). I still recommend that you read "Saved by Noel" first - it gives you a better reading experience if you read Clara's and Clark's story first!
"Joy to Noel" doesn't revolve solely around Christmas, but in Noel Christmas is always present, in one way or another, so it's definitely a Christmas book. We get dual POV's, which I love. I also love their verbal banter, their text conversations and the nicknames! I'm not that fond of Madison's own belittling, but that's where Liam comes in and cheers for her and builds her confidence. It's also great to see how Madison gets him to start to open up, both to her and others in Noel.
I need to mention Hamlet, Liam's cat. There's a cat with personality and strong opinions! I really hope that the author will write more books about Noel and its inhabitants, because I want to see them all again!
* I received an ARC from the author and I'm giving my honest review. *
I am obsessed with this story. Tracy is the queen of plot twists. I didn’t know it was possible to make the romance genre this thrilling and inventive, but somehow she’s done it. She delivers on everything promised—from the jaw-dropping forced proximity to the exhilarating banter—and somehow layers deeper meaning and value into every trope. Liam and Madison are such compelling characters, you can’t help but root for them to get everything they’ve ever hoped for.
A couple of my personal favorite elements: this story is a love letter to editors everywhere. You guys rock. (This hit especially close to home as I’m about to have my first ever professional edit 🙈). I also loved the anti-AI plotline cause we do not mess around about that lol. Also all of the business and entrepreneurship in this story was so fun, I love to see the determination and representation of what goes into less commonly-known jobs. And, of course, Clark and Clara breadcrumbs 🥹. I love my Noel babies to pieces.
This book is just filled with so much joy. As usual with Tracy’s masterpieces, I literally could not put it down. Please do yourself a favor this Christmas and get this duology in your life, at the very least so you can meet Hamlet.
This was such a fun read! Liam & Madison meet whenever he comes to town for his job. Liam was a tough one to crack! He was very guarded but Madison really encouraged him to open up. On the other hand, Liam really helps her see her worth & potential.
This story had a lot of sweet moments & special friendships that I adored. I especially loved all of their sassy banter with one another.
Tracy is so good at making her stories feel very realistic!
Side-note - the cat in this one was a whole extra character 🐈
Quotes ✨ “Don’t you ever think about dimming that fiery spirit just because some weak excuse for a man couldn’t keep up with you.”
“Because I’m tired of convincing myself not to kiss you.”
If you’re into: 🎄 Big city turned small town 🏡 Forced proximity 💪 Strong, sassy female lead ✨ Christmas magic that lasts all year 💬 Endless banter 📚 Shakespeare quotes
Then Joy to Noel by Tracy Baack might just be your next favorite festive read. ❤️📖
I think my favorite part about Joy to Noel is that if I wanted Christmas in July, I can have it. It’s the kind of story that makes Christmas magic last all year long. And the banter between MJ and Suits? Absolutely remarkable. ❤️🎄
Madison is back in Noel after being replaced at her job, and Liam’s returned to small-town Arkansas to help out a local factory. Paths cross, friendships form, walls are slowly broken down, and love begins to bloom. 💋 A kisses-only romance that’s full of heart, humor, and holiday warmth. ✨
Thank you to Tracy Baack for the ARC in exchange for my honest review! 🎁
I will never know how Tracy writes books and characters that I have always found pieces of myself in.
She's truly a remarkable author 🫶🏻
This time, in Mads, I related to the negative self talk. It's not something I'm proud of, but it's real and something I struggle with too. Seeing her inner monologue and how she grows by the end of the book just warmed my heart. She's also so sassy and tells things how they are.
Liam!? Well, we were promised someone who matches Mads' sass. His character was the perfect match for her! I also really enjoyed his character development. He has his own struggles and we get to dive into where they started, and see how he works through them.
Let's also shine some love on Hamlet, the also sassy, and lovable cat. His adoption story? Grab a tissue. 🥹
Seeing what each our our MCs brought to Noel and how they contributed to the community even when neither wanted to call this small town home made me tear up (I'm a cryer okay?).
I loved going back to Noel and seeing this small town shine. I wish I could go experience their community and Christmas Fest, but I'll take being transported there via the Christmas in Noel series.
Tropes:
🎄 Forced proximity 🐾 Parallel personalities 🎄 Small town 🐾 Found family 🎄 Strangers to lovers 🐾 No spice/closed-door romance
Thank you so much to the author, @authortracybaack for this eARC opportunity in exchange for my honest review.
I loved this fun story! Both Madison and Liam were strong personality types, but in different ways. They definitely had chemistry and even as they tried to, at first, resist that chemistry between them, it eventually pulled them together.
I liked how Madison softened Liam’s brusk demeanor. She also had a bruskness in her interactions with people, but Liam held himself apart from others. Madison was the only one who was able to get him to open up and share who he really was. It was refreshing to see these two connecting. However, they had some pretty big obstacles to overcome before they could find their happily ever after together.
I loved reconnecting with the characters from the first book, Saved by Noel. You can definitely enjoy Joy to Noel even if you haven’t read Clara and Clark’s story, however, it is even more fun to see them show up quite a bit in this book, too.
I received a complimentary copy of this book. All opinions are my own.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Liam Park & Madison Wheeler - Dual POV - Christmas all year long - Forced proximity - Slow burn, (but not painstakingly so) - Found family - Competitive MCs - Supportive and welcoming friends & Family - Sassy Hallmark vibes - Small town setting
✨ a few of my favorite things: - their competitive spirits - The NICKNAMES - Their teasing, chemistry, and attitudes - The friend group 💕💕 - Liam & Beau’s friendship & how the guys adopt him in - Liam opening up to MJ - Their rules 🤭 - Liam & his mom’s convo - Madison finally GOING FOR IT (chasing all the dreams) - Quoting Shakespeare back and forth
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Book 2 in Christmas in Noel - okay I’m obsessed with Liam and Madison because they both have very strong personalities. They both are blunt and honest and care deeply, despite sometimes coming off rude. I haven’t found this type of personality often in books, let alone in both MCs. I’m very similar to the MCs this way. So I loved reading their interactions, both flirting and how they handled conflict resolution.
I appreciated the growth that the MCs had the muddle through to get to their HEA. They are both highly independent individuals but for very different reasons. Liam needed coaxing to open up more and trust. While Madison needed to believe in herself, stop with all the doubting, and really go for what she wanted. Their growth wouldn’t have been possible without all the people surrounding them and loving on them. The community in the book warmed my heart.
This is a closed door romcom with no cursing and just kissing. This is a Christmas romcom with Christmas cheer throughout but it takes place over the course of a year, with a best friend that stands by Christmas magic being a year round thing. 😂🤷🏻♀️
**Thank you so much to Tracy for letting me read this gifted ARC. No positive review was required. All thoughts are my own.**
Songs: Train by Dasha River by Myles Smith Vienna by Billy Joel Until I found you by Stephan Sanchez Sunday by Ben Rector Making the bed by Olivia Rodrigo Princess peach by Ruth B Holy ground by Taylor swift
🎄 The vibes: - Cat dad - Starting over - Sprinkles of christmas throughout - Forced proximity - A cat with main character energy - Fiesty FMC and a man who likes it - Closed door
🎄 My thoughts: When Madison moves to Noel for a reset in her career and in her confidence, she’s hoping the Christmas magic of Noel will be the boost that she needs. Liam is sent to Noel for an extended work assignment (much to his chagrin), and he brings his cat Hamlet (also much to his chagrin). Neither of which want to be stuck in podunk Arkansas. When strong personalities collide (Hamlet included), will Christmas be enough to light up new beginnings?
🎄I love the dynamic between Liam and Madison so much. I love how she is completely herself (for better or worse) and Liam meets her there everytime (for better or worse). They feed off eachother and challenge eachother and they just had the perfect Yin Yang dynamic that I love to see.
🎄 This is book 2 in an interconnected standalone series. You can read this one without reading Saved by Noel first, but reading them in order will give you a better feel of the town, its history, and the characters that you see in Joy to Noel.
🎄Lastly, don’t even get me started on Liam’s cat, Hamlet. Tracy did a full deep dive into the real Hamlet’s life from his origin to his death, and she really brought him back to life in a way in this book for me. This book is his ninth life. His sass is fully displayed, but I think his loyal heart and his claim on his people was perfectly portrayed as well. If any of his behaviors feel unrealistic, you can take it up with the real Hamlet 😆 because everything was indeed factual. And if you don’t like his cat energy, he says he will haunt you for you rest of your days. 😜
🎄 The timeline spans over the course of a year, but there’s Christmas elements sprinkled throughout which makes this the perfect book to read anytime. I freaking loved this book. I’m biased. I’m honored. And I go cry now.
Note- closed door.
Thank you so much to Tracy Baack for the gifted copy.
I know it is a little early for this, but reading this series has me so ready for the Christmas season!! Definitely a different read than the first book in the series, but loved this one just as much. Lots of feisty banter, more adorable pets, and of course the best Christmas town ever! And I will always love a good sibling side character like Hana! One piece of advice for a book by Tracy: ALWAYS READ THE BONUS EPILOGUE. One of my favorite parts of her books for sure!
I love love love Christmas books and omg the vibes of this one are unmatched. The book spans like almost a year ish I think but the FMC keeps Christmas decor up longer than just Christmas bc why not? Reading this felt like a magical Christmas dreamland and I binged this so fast. Ok onto the actual story. Madison is spunky, fiery, and takes life head on. Her dealing with her job loss and other fears was completely relatable and I found myself sympathizing with her plight. Liam is a corporate boss fr. I liked his no nonsense attitude and his family dynamic, but he did come across as super bossy at one point (which I get is part of his personality, but just saying) Other than the super Christmassy vibe, my fav part of the story was the found family ish trope? The friends/side characters of the story are amazing and well developed, critical to making a story feel complete. Overall, I’d recommend this read to anyone who loves Christmas trees and snowflakes and candy canes, and needs a no-spice kisses only book to enjoy with their hot cocoa.
The book was witty, sassy (obviously), emotional with perfect amounts of Christmas cheer.
It felt like a breath of fresh air to see both the characters confident, mature and communicative (that's always so important for me). It made it impossible for me to keep the book down especially at work!
The romance was top notch and again, their sass, confidence and trust in one another made it feel natural and all the more swoony.
Full disclosure, I haven't read Saved by Noel, and though it would have added more color to Madison's character, you can read the book as a standalone.
Joy to Noel (Christmas in Noel Book 2) by Tracy Baack @authortracybaack
••I give 5 stars!⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
~There’s an expiration date to their proximity. Is that enough to extinguish the explosive chemistry between them?…
“I’ll burn the world down to clear a path for you if that’s what it takes. As long as we’re on the path together.”
-My friends, Joy to Noel, is such a delightful story with such heart! It is wonderfully filled with such sassy banter, holiday vibes, found family, delightful humor, and a hefty great dose of forced proximity. You will love all the swoon with no spice in this wonderful closed-door contemporary romance. This is the second dear book in the “Christmas in Noel” series, and while it can easily be read as a stand alone, don’t miss out on this dear series, worth reading in order!
I thoroughly enjoyed how this story had me smiling from the beginning till the end. I adored watching relatable and endearing characters find their own sense of belonging, their home, their place, friendship, love, and happiness. Seeing their character growth grow and blossom was heartwarming. Yet, it was watching characters realize their worth, in what they love most of all, and then seeing them standing for what’s right while risking everything for love, had my heart melting with joy! Love is the beautiful magic weaved throughout this dear story. It makes such a difference! This story is worth the read!🎄📚❤️✨
“Better than a dream.”
•Content: Brief mentions of childhood bully- ing and postpartum depression, embezzlement scheme, failure of not measuring up, loneliness, no danger, no language, kisses only. Closed-door!
“Finally, Mads found someone who matches her sass.”
-I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book which I received from the author. All views expressed are only my honest opinion.
“Just you wait. I think an extra dose of Christmas cheer might be just what you need.”
#joytonoel
“Life is so boring without you.”
#christmasinnoel
“‘For where thou art, there is the world itself.’”
The small town of Noel (pronounced "Nole") is cozy with so many strong and fun characters. This book is set after "Saved by Noel" but you can also read it as a standalone. It's closed door romance.
My favorite part about Tracy's books is her characters. They are well thought out and deeper for romance novels. They are realistic (often super relatable to my own life) and real with flaws.
If you are looking for a Christmas Romance, I highly recommend this one!
Such a great book. I was lucky enough to get to do an advance read on this one. It’s a must read for this upcoming Christmas season or anytime you need the pull of a good clean hallmarkie Christmas type movie just in book form which means better. Love the story between Madison and Liam the town of Noel and all the joy of this book. It’s nice to read a book that is a romance with out the spice that so many books have now.
I loved that Madison got her own story! I was not prepared for how much I would love JTN. Liam and Madison have such amazing chemistry and are so sweet and fiery. I loved being able to visit Noel (pronounced as No-le) again. Clara, Clark, Pops and all the townsfolk of Noel. I love the small town vibes. Christian vibes, of course. Madison is fun and she’s got a lot of personality. Liam is something, I mean that in an amazing way. He’s amazing. He’s a perfect 10.
CONTENT -🤬: none -❤️: make outs -⚠️: I can't think of anything right this second?
I loved this one! Tracy took us back to Noel, Arkansas, and it was such a lovely place to spend some more time. After Madison's job eliminates her position to use AI editing instead (🤬🤬🤬), she finds herself in Noel with her best friend, Clara, starting a freelance editing business. She's staying in a cabin and across the way from her is another out-of-towner, Liam. Neither Madison nor Liam have permanent roots in Noel or plans to stay there, but as they live near (and then with) each other, banter, well, banters and feelings start to develop. It's DELICIOUS! Their verbal sparring matches were the highlights of the whole book. Also, the AI error that Madison learns about from her old workplace had me cackling. Read it just to find out what that was. 😜
Favorite Quotes: -I've never really been interested in writing original content—I like perfecting content. ^ It's me, hi. (HI! I'm the proofreader. It's me.)
-He's ditched the jacket to his suit and rolled up the sleeves of the black dress shirt. The top button is undone, and so I am.
-"It's really disappointing to discover that you could have had a British accent, and here you are, speaking all neutral American English. What a pity," I deadpan.
-Fiery Madison is my favorite version of any human I've ever met.
-"Those puppy eyes won't get you anywhere with me," he chides. But I feel the muscles in his back tensing in response to my touch. I glare at him. "That fiery gold spark in your eyes might get you somewhere, though," he says.
-"Madison, any guy who was intimidated by you was a boy who could never possibly deserve you. Don't you ever think about dimming that fiery spirit just because some weak excuse for a man couldn't keep up with you."
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again! What I love most about Tracy’s books is that she just writes a story. She doesn’t write to certain tropes. I went in fairly blind to this book which was great so I don’t want to say too much. But in this case, it’s not an enemies to lovers or competitors or second chance, it’s just a couple of people who simply *are* and they meet and it goes from there! I loved how Liam, the MMC, is a suit wearing corporate kind of guy who is also such a sweet cat dad and so supportive of Madison’s (the FMC) business venture. Madison is pretty blunt and direct but still struggles with some insecurities that I can totally relate to.
There was fantastic banter, sparring and kick your legs kind of swoon :) While this is marketed as a Christmas book, it takes place over the course of a year and contains some Christmas all year round obsessed people and a community gearing up for its annual Christmas Fest.
Oh my gosh!! This book was so amazingly swoony! I absolutely loved these characters and their chemistry was off the charts! I loved Liam and how he didn’t say much but when he did it was so adorable, and you knew he truly meant what he was saying. The Christmas vibes were totally present. And I just have to say this was such a cute and cozy romance. I would definitely recommend that you add this to your holiday/winter TBR! No spice No swearing 4.5 stars ⭐️
