🍪 Gingerbread Gamble — A Sweet, Slow-Burn Christmas Romance by Mila Rhodes 🎄A baking competition. A bet gone wrong. And two hearts that can’t stay out of the kitchen.
When pastry chef Harper Quinn returns to her snow-dusted hometown of Winter Haven, she plans to stay just long enough to help her mother with the bakery—and then disappear again. But small towns have long memories… and this December, hers comes with a side of scandal, sugar, and second chances.
Five years ago, one devastating review from food critic Noah Bishop ended Harper’s career—and their secret relationship. Now, he’s back too, covering Winter Haven’s beloved Gingerbread Gamble competition for his new blog. When fate (and a faulty power line) forces Harper and Noah to share an oven, old wounds and simmering chemistry begin to rise like dough in the heat.
Between snowy nights, stolen glances, and the scent of cinnamon in the air, Harper finds herself caught between the past she’s tried to forget and the future she’s afraid to believe in. Because in a town where every December tells a story, some recipes call for forgiveness, a dash of risk… and maybe, just maybe, the courage to love again.
✨ A heartwarming winter romance perfect for fans Gilmore Girls and Sweet Magnolias
I read it but skimmed the last 40 percent. It wasn’t toooo bad to start although the paragraphs were choppy.. but the story didn’t seem to get very deep at all, like there was no depth to the characters and everything was overly descriptive.. not to mention all the MILLIONS of —— all over the place the further you get in the book. One sentence had 5 of those dashes.. excuse me but no. This author should be ASHAMED for using AI to write this. This author isn’t even an author. If AI had to write your book don’t call yourself an author.
