Strong characters, appalling editing ruined it for me
Danyl and Liza, the premise of their story grabbed me. I tried hard to enjoy this book however (and I very rarely comment on a book’s editing) there were so many errors that I can only surmise this edition is the unedited version.
Danyl is one tough guy who is protective and loving with Liza. She becomes a strong and determined women with the support she gets from Danyl

Después de que Liza matara a su atacante en defensa propia, Danyl ve su oportunidad y la hace su esposa. Él es el primo del jefe de la mafia rusa y con su apellido nadie la tocará, ni siquiera la ley. Al principio liza esta asustada y desconfía de Danyl pero algo dentro de ella le dice que puede confiar en él porque la mantendrá a salvo, algo que hizo desde el comienzo. Danyl es seguridad y protección pero también el hombre por quien siente una fuerte atracción.
Me gustó que Danyl adorara a Liza, se mostraba posesivo y protector con ella pero también dulce cuando le daba su tiempo y se preocupaba por ella.
Liza se tomó un poco de tiempo antes de aceptar a Danyl, estuvo bien que hiciera algo de proceso. Se hizo todas las preguntas correctas cuando conoció a Danyl y sus reacciones me parecieron lógicas. Pero me molesto lo incrédula que podía ser con respecto a su padre. Toda su vida se comporto mal con ella, fue un padre de lo peor, debió darse cuenta que cada vez que aparecía no traía nada bueno pero ella piensa, ah bueno, esta vez cambió, esta sobrio cuando estaba actuando sospechosamente? Y cae en su trampa de una forma estúpida!
La historia se lee rápido, engancha, tiene spicy, peligro, sangre, mafia y motociclistas buscando venganza. Lo que lamente es que no encontré vibras navideñas, creí que la serie tendría el tema de las fiestas presente pero parece que no en todas las historias de la serie.

This series has captured my attention.
The stories themselves, and the characters they portray drag you in. I love nothing more than a story that makes real life fade away, and the emotions of the story lead you down the paths they choose. And these do that very well.
But an author has the ability to shove you right back out. A poorly edited book, or one not edited at all, makes all the difference in how the flow holds the reader's attention.
A blatant misspelled word; A wrong word used in the wrong place.
And the worst of all, rich description of an intimate moment that has you mesmerized, but is physically impossible. As you visualize what the words describe, you are shocked back into reality. (That isn't possible!) and you lose that moment entirely.
The truth is I love these characters; they aren't 'cookie cutter' people, copied, pasted, and details changed to suit the scene. Each brings you a new feel, a new appreciation. Make you want to meet more of them. Daynl... Liza... Magnets that cannot resist the connection, but both drawn in against their better senses.
An excellent story... Just needs a touch of buffing polish.

Life can change in an instant which it does for MFC Liza Ponti when leaving her restaurant job one night she is accosted by one of it’s patrons who couldn’t take no for an answer earlier in the evening.
MMC Danyl Kedrov is Bratva and you don’t play with Bratva especially when he had warned the guy earlier to stay away from her.
Danyl comes to the rescue because he has made himself Liza’s protector but during the tussle Liza accidentally takes out her assailant.
Danyl has the perfect solution, Bratva wives are ALWAYS protected, and husbands can’t testify against a wife.
Liza was his from the first moment he’d ever seen her, and now it would be official.
Theirs may start out as a marriage of convenience but soon turns into much more.
Loved this steamy novella that was nicely written, included danger, passion, Bratva dynamics, an obsessive alpha which is my favorite kind of MMC who also loves and protects his forever woman! HEA.

If you loved Lights out by Navessa Allen you will love this mafia dark romcom, because it’s really so cute and fun, with some spice to add a kick. As far as a dark mafia romance goes this one is pretty light and our mmc may give “touch her and die” vibes but he’s also a total sweetheart and CONSENT KING! I love a marriage of convenience and how they met was really cute, he’s protective and possessive of her from the start! She was a really sweet character and I enjoyed her chemistry with him. The plot was great, simpleish which is expected for a short read like this one, but still full of so much character and thrill.

Danyl stepped in when creepy man was bugging Liza in the restaurant. There was something about this woman that called to him and he so wanted to get to know her better. He got called away and when he went back to make sure she was safe he found her getting attacked by the creep who didn't heed his warning. Liza was so shocked to have someone stand up for her and protect her. Danyl marries her to further protect her. The way these two come together makes for a fun and thrilling read. I love how an alpha man falls for the one woman who holds his heart. I loved every moment of this book. You won't be disappointed.

She catches Danyl's attention when he is taking a meeting with a tech bro, investing to launder money for his boss, Rurik Kedrov (Hunted & Bred by the Bratva). When a patron gets too handsy, Danyl intervenes, but later than man is waiting for Liza outside. It ends up with the man dead and Danyl comes with the solution of her marrying him to protect her as the guy was connected.
This starts as a slow burn, he gives her time to adjust to her new circumstances but things heat up quickly from there. He will need to save her when they come for her.

Love a good He Falls First and Danyl immediately falls for Liza. He’s a Bratva underboss and she’s a struggling college student, but when he first lays eyes on her, he’s a goner. Their marriage is a necessary marriage of convenience to give her the protection of the Bratva. But it’s certainly a very convenient marriage for both of them. I enjoyed this novella.

This novella was it good. Nothing like being forced into a marriage all because that person is covering a crime you committed…then you find out he’s mafia. You just got dragged into a world you know nothing about. Can’t be that bad right? Danyl tells Liza that her buddy is his now.
Aside from editing errors, I thought this was pretty good. It was steamy and spicy, filled with passion. I think I’d read others just to see how they go.

An instalove mafia lite romance. Liza is a struggling college student and waitress with a con man father who cares more about the next con than her. Danyl family is the Bratva and falls fast for the young waitress. Liza is strong and fierce killing her attacker which leads her to marry Danyl. I loved Liza and Danyl as a couple. Instead of a violent Bratva man Danyl is kind and protective of Liza. Enjoyable read.

The writing flowed easily and smoothly, making this a very readable, quick, and easy short read. It’s one you can breeze through in a single sitting.
This story had great potential to be expanded into a full-length novel. The premise was interesting, but I would have liked more depth and development to fully connect with the characters and storyline.
Overall, an enjoyable short read that left me wishing for more.

I love the morally gray hero and Danyl is the perfect one. When he sees Liza being attacked he goes to help her but she ends up killing her attacker. It’s Danyl’s chance to get what he wants and that’s Liza as his bride. This is a fast paced action packed story. It’s sweet and steamy with an alpha hero who will do whatever it takes to keep his wife safe. I loved it.

Danyl has been hit with love at first sight when he sees Liza and is determined to make her his. This happens a lot sooner than planned as Liza finds herself in trouble and in need of being rescued by Danyl. I love how Liza blossoms under his care and truly learns that she is worthy, and how Danyl destroys anyone who makes her feel or treats her as less than the amazing woman she is. This is the fast paced story of Liza, in the wrong place at the wrong time, and Danyl, the man who helps her, and then forces a marriage so he can't testiygy against her, but really he wants to marry her because she was his from the moment he saw her. short and steamy, just the way I like it
What I loved:
✍️I don't know what it is about love Maria Larson's writing style, but I just love it!
🖤In my humble opinion, this book is better than the previous Bratva one (Hunted & Bred by the Bratva) - but that's just because I could not connect to Perl, who was too weak to my liking.
🫠And of course: the "good girl" and "my wife" routine just never gets old!

✍️I don't know what it is about love Maria Larson's writing style, but I just love it!
🖤In my humble opinion, this book is better than the previous Bratva one (Hunted & Bred by the Bratva) - but that's just because I could not connect to Perl, who was too weak to my liking.
🫠And of course: the "good girl" and "my wife" routine just never gets old!

I'm a huge fan of Bratva novels, and this one did not disappoint! I found it to be well-written, with engaging characters who were fantastic both together and on their own. It kept me hooked from beginning to end.

Wow what a phenomenal story. Maria Lawson does it again. I love her writing and especially happy endings. Loved these two together and how the family welcomed her. Great story

I really enjoyed this book. I loved how the MMC protected the FMC without really knowing her . This was definitely a slow burn till the sex started then it was HOT! It had most of the feels which i enjoyed.

Another deception
I thought the book was a BWWM, but found out it wasn’t. I was disappointed when I started reading and realize it wasn’t so I only read the first few pages and stopped. Did not enjoy it all.
