In a quiet regional town, Casey, kind and friendly, has been living alone in a house. Since the house is owned by a relative of Casey's, property manager Laurence lets Casey live there for free, yet unemployment and low income still trouble Casey.
One day, Laurence unexpectedly tells Casey that a young couple, Donald and Megan, will move in. Shortly afterward, Casey learns that business tycoon LT will open a new branch in this town.
