My enemy's cruelest punishment was making me want him.
Haven Lee Bastian Rooke has been stalking me since the day I set foot in Agony Hollow.
Watching. Orchestrating. Manipulating.
Waiting to collect me like a pretty broken thing.
So when I ran away with my bully, he took it personally.
Our professor pulled a move so merciless, so devastatingly brilliant, it threatens my future and Kai's freedom.
Bastian's ready to burn it all down...unless I get on my knees for him.
He wants my obedience, my submission, our complete and total destruction.
He calls it punishment.
But there's something Bastian doesn't know about me.
Something no one knows.
I didn't just stumble into Bastian's deep, dark woods one night like a lost lamb.
The dark in me craves the dark in him...and it's hungry for more.
Hungry girls don't kneel. They bite.
Punished by My Enemy is the explosive finale of the Lessons in Cruelty dark academia trilogy by USA Today bestselling author Logan Fox.
This book features an obsessed possessive professor who doesn't share, a bully whose rage hides something dark, scorching MMF/Why Choose dynamics, bisexual awakening, morally black antiheroes, and a heroine who bites back.
I was excited to get to read the last book in the Haven/Kai/ Rooke story. This ride has been chaotic and mindf*cking! The push/pull with all these characters was a lot, but oh so good!! I did go back and forth on how this one would end, and it was a great ending to their story. I do wonder now if Thatcher will get a book with how this one ended. As always with dark romance, be sure to check TWs as this one has some doozies for sure.
This is the last piece of a trilogy, so be sure to read books one and two first. I found this series very addictive. Filled with a tantalizing combination of tension, drama, intensity, emotion, steam and twists and darkness, this book sinks its claws deep and entangles you in a web that the only way out is through and frankly, I wouldn't want it to be any other way.

Wow! Hot! Dark. Is all that I can say about this book. I love this story and a great addition to the series. The story picks up where it left off, Bastian is more deranged, psychotic and unhinged. And it's more chaotic, darker, traumatic. The author has given up more background about the characters. Haven as grown into her power and taken control and drawn to the darkness. And Kai is stick fighting his feelings. Bastian wants to collect them both like pretty broken things. And all Haven Haven wants is to just survive long enough to graduate. But the rules has changed and Bastian no longer wants to watch from shadows . He wants to own them, and will make sure that when he calls that they will answer. Okay first and for most this book and series is a must read. Please check TW before reading. Otherwise jump right into the delicious chaos of these awesome characters. Now that that is out of the way. Buckle up buttercup because you are about to go down a wild rollercoaster ride in the crazy life changing journey with these three lost broken souls that have found their way to each other. And somehow their jagged edges fit together perfectly. This story has twists that kept me turning the pages. Twists that will surprise you. We also learn a more in depth history of each of their backgrounds from their traumatic childhood's that helped create the world they live in now. Also there is so many emotions swirling around while they honestly accept what they truly want and desire. This story is very well written. I enjoyed all the characters. And how they are growing together and changing the dynamics of their relationship. Lots of suspense, blood and death, the mind games that are played. And the electric connection these three have like a powerful magnetic drawing them together no matter how hard they try to fight it. Oh yes and their fiery connection is steamy and off the charts Hottt! And I have a feeling their is still more to come in this amazing series. With Detective Thatcher and his unhinged side showing. And the way this story ended with his last thoughts about which direction he will choose.
Haven and her Dark Fairy tale where One Princess is a killer and her Princes are Monsters and they all lived bloody ever after.
So much blood. And so much love.
Logan is one of my favorite Dark Unhinged Romance authors. I highly recommend this book and this series Lessons in Cruelty Dark Academia.

I was quite surprised at the direction this book took to round out the series as after the focus being on Haven and Kai's suffering, I really thought Bastian would be the one to get some heat this time. Somehow he is still pulling all the strings and I would have loved to have seen him on the back foot for a couple of chapters. I took a long time to warm up to him again after the crypt scene and for what he almost did to Kai but I loved this as a turning point for Haven when she called a stop to everything. It was the final scene with Billy that gave me pause; check your triggers for that one.
Despite Kai and Haven finding their way back to each other, their relationship is still volatile as they try and resolve their feelings for Bastian. I appreciated that it wasn't all immediate sunshine and rainbows as they both had trauma still to work through. I felt so sorry for Melissa though who genuinely seemed to have been caught in the crossfire; it was definitely the best outcome though as I can't see how Bastian could have been made it back if that had gone any further. Ezra was also someone I didn't see coming; his motivations in the previous books were something I kept coming back to and the reveal and the resolution wasn't anywhere near what I imagined!
This kept me guessing throughout and I am here for a Thatcher spin off; I need to know about all those trophies and I am here for a crossover with Cinderhart as the mystery of what happened to Amy is still niggling at me!

My interpretation of the star system; 3 stars - I enjoyed it; would read the author again 4 stars - I really liked it; I am invested and definitely want more from this author/series 5 stars - I loved it; I engaged with this book completely until I finished it and it is one I will re-read
Besties… the final installment of the Lessons in Cruelty trilogy is here and I was READY for this chaotic conclusion. But fair warning: this trilogy is NOT made for skipping around. "Punished By My Enemy"jumps right in where Book 2 ended, so you absolutely need to read them in order to survive this wild Agony Hollow ride.👌🏼
And let me tell you… this finale delivered twists on twists on twists. Just when I thought the story was wrapping up, Logan Fox threw another curveball that had me side-eyeing everyone all over again. The tension between Haven, Kai, and Bastian is still as dark, messy, and obsessive as ever... but Haven truly steps into her power here. She’s no longer the girl being pushed around… she’s ready to bite back, and I loved seeing that evolution.
Bastian remains beautifully unhinged, Kai continues to wrestle with his demons, and the dynamics between all three kept the pages turning nonstop. Yes, it’s a longer read, but the payoff is absolutely worth it.
And honestly? The ending feels like it could open doors for more stories in this world, which I would 100% devour.
If you want a dark, chaotic, mind-twisting trilogy, this one is completely worth the ride!😉
My Ratings: ⭐ 4.5/5 ▪︎ 🥵 4/5

★ ”All that hate and anger and pain. I wanted that chaos…” ★
“…I needed to be inside it.” This last installment to Haven, Kai, and Bastian’s story exceeded my expectations and more. It was the perfect ending which closed all the open doors which could drag them apart, and perhaps even hint at another door opening?! Their relationships with one another had very real teeth and emotions, and circumstances kept them in each other’s grasp until they all realized what really mattered. Sizzling, psychotic, fated.
I have finished this whole series at this point, but this is one that definitely lingers, with characters who claw their way through the pages and through each other with their needs, wants, and behaviors stemming both from childhood trauma and present circumstances. This was for me the most compelling series from this author I’ve had the pleasure to read, and I have only just begun to step back into her orbit of stories. Now, I HAVE to delve into what I’ve been missing these last one to two years! LOVED IT! SO WELL DONE! ❤️🔥
💝🫶🏼 Please mind your triggers before diving in 🫶🏼💝
This was the perfect ending for the Lessons in Cruelty trilogy.
I devoured the three books in a few days. Of course, it's dark and it has a lot of taboo situations in it, so please check trigger warnings before going ahead.
With that said, it WASN'T super heavy, in my opinion, and if you've dabbled in dark romance before and liked it, you'll surely like this one.
Bastian was SUCH a psycho, I can't believe my taste in fictional men, truly. But oh well, as long as it's a HEA, right? lol
I just loved that Haden grew in herself, got in charge of the darkness around and within and fought for herself. I love to see an FMC that bites back.
It was messy, trauma-ridden and chaotic, but I loved every minute of it, I just wished Kai would've gotten some more progress. But, well, that's exactly life, right? He went through a ton of stuff and it wouldn't be either realistic nor on brand for him to suddenly get over all of it.
I'll keep reading books from this author and definitely recommend this series to taboo and dark romance readers.

Tropes: Enemies to Lovers, Dubcon, Bully, Bi-Awakening, Dark Academia
This is the 3rd book in the Lessons in Cruelty Dark Academia Trilogy. I was excited to get my hands on this one. It is written slightly different then the first 2, with additional character background provided. Multi-Narrative. I had to re-read the last 2 chapters as I thought it ended a bit abruptly, the information is all there but it was one sentence that tied everything together. It certainly leaves an opening to continue on with secondary characters. The spice level was cranked up and there were some wild encounters. You will question everyone's motives and there is some serious angst and self discovery. Be prepared for alternating between current timeline and flash backs. There was some explanation of Sebastians internal good/bad monologue that would have been nice to have closer to the beginning of the book. It also felt like some themes from the first 2 books were augmented, the hunted killer and it would have been nice to have a bit more about Thatcher. Overall it was a good conclusion to the trilogy and it is on my re-read list.

We have finally got book three, the final installment of Kai, Haven and Bastain's story. I hesitated opening this one up for the simple fact as I was not sure i was ready to say goodbye to the characters as the story ends. I cleared the calendar, got comfy - this is a little longer of a read and opened the book. You are tossed right in where book two ended and the story continues to unfold and twist in a masterful way. Beautiful, heartaching, suspenseful and so addictive. This author has earned my readers trust in shades, I always pickup a new story and know I will never be disappointed. Thank you Logan for continuing to write these amazing stories and to push that line a little further to expand our minds and hearts. Not everything is unicorns and rainbows in this world but that does not mean you are not entitled to your own version of a HEA. Enjoy!.

The first book reeled me in with the promise of a good story, infact, the first book was all about readers anticipating the upcoming books in this series. The way the author described Bastian and built a vibe around him ( book one) was commendable. The book was promising but after going through the final book, I'm disappointed. Where's that vibe? The book is all $*x page after page! 😒😒😒
And where do I start about our FMC Haven Lee. The girl is always making stupid choices, it was frustrating to read! The only emotion she had was being h***y!!! This is how her brain 🧠 works in a nutshell:- Had a bad dream? Let's f*** Someone's choking her? Gets turned on Killed someone? Let's f*** Suicidal? Nope. Just turned on. * Inset face palm emoji*
All in all I kept at the story in the hopes that I'll get to an emotionally satisfying part but it's just ***. Time wasted. Bye.
All the cards are now on the table. Kai, Bastian, and Haven have placed all their secrets on table for each other to view. None have ran away, but I think it made them all closer.
If one of the 3 is in trouble or has a problem, the other 2 will support or defend, help, and or fix the problem that has raised. They all lean and support each other. You don't see enough of that in the real world.
I loved all the twists and once you thought you were at the end another twist popped up.
I also loved the fact we got to see a little insight from Deputy Thatcher. We get the closure we suspected from Bash. We get to see Haven to break and get put back together again by letting all her secret's out. Kia get to break free and finally hit acceptance.

I have been eagerly anticipating the conclusion to this series. Just when I thought I knew where Bastian, Kai, and Haven's story was going, I was completely thrown off.
This series has just gotten better, darker, more intense, and twisted as it went on. Their dynamic is unhinged and chaotic, but I wouldn't have it any other way. My mind is completely blown after reading this series. I still dont think anything could have prepared me for how it all went down, but what a ride it was.
If this book/series seems daunting in length, don't let that deter you because it's easy to get sucked in and devour the pages. An absolutely phenomenal dark psychological MMF series with morally black MCs that took convention, said FU, and got their twisted HEA.
I received a copy of this book from the publisher/author to review.
This is the final book in the Lesson in Cruelty Series. You have to read Broken by My Bully and Stalked by my Professor before you dive into this one, or you will be lost. This book picks up where Stalked by my Professor left off. I was so excited to find out what was going to happen between Ki, Rooke and Haven. I will say that this book is a wild ride and it is on go from the moment you pick this book up. There are twists and turns around every corner, and it will keep you on your toes. I don't know that I can say a word about the story and now give something away. You just need to get this book and dive right on end. You will now regret it. I have loved every second of this series and the time I got to spend with these characters I will not forget anytime soon.
The Beauty of Total Annihilation What happens when the girl who just wanted to graduate decides to stop running? This story answers that with a literal explosion. The tension in this book is built on a foundation of "sin" and "revenge," but the real core is the psychological warfare between the three leads. What I loved: The Professor: A truly chilling antagonist who moves from the shadows to the forefront. He’s the ultimate "evil overlord" you love to hate. Haven’s Evolution: Watching her flip the script and go from survivor to the person holding the matches was incredibly satisfying. The Atmosphere: The stakes feel real. When the author says "total annihilation," they mean it. The ending left me breathless
I ended up reading all 3 books in 4 days. So obviously it held my interest. It pulls you in from the very start. It is a definite page turner. If you are looking for dark you have come to the right place. If you are looking for romance you have come to the wrong place. If you are looking for Spice you have come to the right place, however I had no clue at all there would be gay sex. I actually didn't even know it was a MMF book at all. But you must be ok with male gay sex to enjoy this book. It's just not my cup of tea. The book is written well, but i did quite a bit of eyerolling. Ha.
I ended up reading all 3 books in 4 days. So obviously it held my interest. It pulls you in from the very start. It is a definite page turner from the start of the series, and you want to keep reading until you finish them all. If you are looking for dark, you have come to the right place. If you are looking for spicy romance, you have come to the right place. Please make sure to read your triggers and also be aware this is a MMF trope. Overall, this series was very well written, and I can't wait for Logan to come out with another series. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
This is book three and the final book in this series. I will say all three books are longer reads so buckle up and get ready to read for a minute. But I promise it's absolutely worth it! Also please check your triggers before going into this series. It's one of those dark romances we all love! Haven, Kai, & Bastian are all unhinged in their own ways and obsessive. I was so ready to see what this last book had in store for all of them. I will say the ending left a few things open for me. So not sure if we will have other stories that can tie in later or not. But I loved all the twists this book through at us.
The stakes have never been higher for our trio. Haven and Kai are in for some serious heavy lifting. Bastian isn't playing fair. Pasts are revealed and secrets are told. Who will be left standing in the end? Logan has us towing the line with them as this story keeps us on razor edge. I couldn't get enough, when I read the last word I needed more of this trauma filled trilogy that had kept me intrigued for so long... You know at least one more chapter lol!.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Kai is a spoiled, broken, disaster of a boy. Haven has been in survivor mode her entire life. Bastian has a life full of control and secrets that haven’t wavered until now.
These 3 have such a disturbed past and so much trauma that they just fit. I didn’t know what to expect going into this last book but am very happy with the way things transpired. The MFM scenes were extra hot!!! I was nervous at times and even had to grab some tissues in a few scenes.
Kai is hilarious once he learns what a safe word is ‘red’ and how he carelessly starts using it.
It rlly wasn't what i thought it was gonna be like. Honestly I was in the hopes that it wouldve perhaps been really angsty and like a complete mess like the other 2 books but surprisingly this book completely made me go insane in the last 2 chapters. Like i felt a bit dyslexic for a moment 😭😭. But I rlly liked the idea of Thatcher getting a bit more of recognition. Plus I rlly love that we got a more detailed insight on Sebastian like truly I love that he is standing so strong even after everything and i think this book was really js a good closure
Punished by My Enemy by Logan Fox is the conclusion to the story of Haven, Bastian, and Kai. The shocks and revelations seemingly never end!! There’s depravity, danger, abusiveness, and so much more. I continue to love/hate Bastian and grapple with my feelings for Kai, but I have come to love him! Then there’s Haven, oh Haven…she comes into her own in this book!!
This story was filled with so much chaos, angst, and totally twisted situations. Long read…but, worth every minute of reading!! Loved the ending!! It was perfect!! Highly recommend this trilogy!!!
'This third and final book features possessive, morally black antiheroes, a heroine who embraces her darkness, scorching MMF dynamics, and the kind of ending that leaves scars.'
The characters continue to be dark and obsessive and perfectly steamy together. Plot evolves to a satisfying conclusion. World building continues to impress and be solidly drawn. All in all a great addition to the trilogy. Thoroughly enjoyed and highly recommend.

What a way to end this series. Bastian, Kai and Haven are at an impasse and the situation gets dark quickly. Each one of these characters grow and change as they embrace their connection to one another, including their own darkness. This conclusion to their story was suspenseful and profound, I could not put it down even as my heart was pounding and tears falling. What a great read!.

The mind games continue in book 3, and this was crazy. I loved the suspense and the angst tension between everyone. Haven claimed her power through all the evil shit. Kai has to find himself before he loses it all. And Rooke was an amazing villain. I enjoyed the dynamic that the new/different characters brought to the story. There were so many twists, turns, and unexpected reveals. It's deliciously unhinged all the way to the very end.

Punished by My Enemy is the final book in the Lessons in Cruelty Dark Academia trilogy, and what an epic conclusion! Haven, Kai, and Bastian's dark and twisted journey of love takes some wicked twists and turns in this book, making it a great read. From the danger, suspense, drama, darkness, and chaos to the steam and crazy chemistry, this is a captivating read. I recommend this book, this series, and this author to everyone who loves great storytelling. I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book.
There were numerous unexpected twists and turns in this book! And I loved it! There were some truly heartbreaking revelations that were key to really getting to know how these characters became who they became. The more I learned about their pasts, the more I loved them and all their twisted depravity. While I loved how it all played out, there’s just one problem…I want more!!!! What happened after Thatcher arrived for Christmas?!? I can’t stop thinking about all the possibilities!!!.

Professor Rooke is diabolically evil to his fingertips! His mind is scary, and yet he seems to have a soft spot for a few of his students. Learning about his background makes him a little more human. But just a little. His mind doesn’t stop swirling with endless possibilities of torture. How can you not love a man like that?.

Wonderful story that concludes this saga. I'd found our characters (Haven, Kai, and Bastian) likable, engaging, complex, traumatic, and dark. I'd found the intense story with the twists and turns engaging as I was put on tethers to the end. The steam, the romantic encounters, the darkness (Gasping with a sigh) are wonderfully written. The conclusion was a satisfying ending but with the college class characters this could branch out. I'd volunteer to read and review this copy I'd received.
As far as psychological, whatever that was goes, this was something I just couldn’t put down. An absolute mind fmessk. The only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars was because of the ending. I fell like it was left incomplete. Otherwise, edge of your seat, mess with your head, emotional chaos, and twisted eroticism is what the book brings, and more.
