Things I should never, under any circumstances ever do: ask my secret crush, aka. the most notorious (reformed) playboy in pro hockey, to take my virginity.
Too bad, I did.
After a string of terrible dates, I did the unthinkable. I propositioned Flip Madden.
Of course, he said no. It isn’t that he’s almost a decade older than me, or that I’m still in university. It’s because I’m his coach’s oldest daughter.
Not to mention my dad would bludgeon him with his hockey stick if he found out. Which he won’t, because it will never happen. And now things are awkward because there’s no going back.
Except Flip is more protective than ever, and his eyes follow me around every room we’re in together. He brings flowers to my recitals and reads all the books I recommend.
Things I should never, under any circumstances ever do: hope Flip Madden might actually want me too.

Honestly, this wasn't my favorite. I wanted to love it because I have been waiting for Flip for a long time but he is NOTHING like hes been in the other books. He was all mush the whole time. He was just blah. And Tally was I feel too immature. Yes shes only 21, but I think their whole relationship could have been different. And I was not a fan of how many times he called her Kitten. I looked it up. It was 106. Overall I love the series, this one just fell a little flat for me.
The fact that such a high profile author would write a book in 2026 perpetuating antiquated, misogynistic, patriarchal stereotypes that only a chaste virgin is good enough to make the raging fuckboy give up his lifestyle and settle down is profoundly disappointing.
I have been waiting for Flip’s book since 2024 when the first Toronto Terror book came out and before I start my review for If You Keep Me, let me quote what I wrote in the review for If You Hate Me back then: “Dear Helena, Flip must suffer in his book and being brought to his knees after what he pulled in this one, please and thank you.”
Well, Flip has become my favourite and he suffered enough through the years for the choices he made, the people he hurt and the relationships in his life that his own actions altered irreversibly 😭. Throughout the series, the reader saw and felt the change, the work he did on himself and the true goodness that was always in him, and in his book, I kept having a lump in my throat for the beautiful soul that he is and how people treated and perceived him even 4 years later! He was hurt so badly, that he became this… persona… this twisted version of himself and only the fear of losing his sister and best friend, gave him the wake up call he needed, but honestly? I don’t think he would heal in the way that he did if it weren’t for Dred! I feel like this friendship literally saved him! And I know, I am mainly basing this review on Flip, but Tally was also an AMAZING FMC, and the right choice, the ONLY choice for a wounded soul like Flip! I just loved them so, so much, they were so good for each other, and Flip was a rock for Tally when she went through the most difficult time in her life with her family falling apart! Of course, the past never stays in the past completely and the media literally hounded them, Flip was used to it, but Tally suffered a lot! In the end, they treated their relationship with the care and respect that it needed in order to survive the ordeals and become so, SO strong!
I swear, I never anticipated a character arc as much as I did Flip’s and I am so glad that he got the redemption he deserved.
Thank you to Helena Hunting and her team for the eARC 🫶🏻🩵
I’ve written this review as I read. That was, ultimately, what pushed me to reach the end—and only that. I’ve read a lot of Helena Hunting books, and I can confidently say this was the worst. Sadly so. If this was your first read, don’t get discouraged! There are good ones, I swear.
A boring ode to virginity—that’s what this was. And when they finally cross that bridge, it’s the most boring, sappy, and quick sex scene ever… at 70% of the book.
Tally is so childish and immature! You’re 21; you can’t respond to your parents’ divorce with “can’t you try to love again?” Especially when you’ve witnessed how your father left all the parental responsibility on your mom’s shoulders. And it can’t “reshape your entire belief in love”—grow the hell up! Every tiny thing makes her tremble and panic. She’s a teen, at least she behaves like one. Which begs the question: what the hell is she doing with a 30-year-old man? It’s not so much the literal age gap but the mental one.
And that supposed “friendship” between them? I didn’t see it. Not in this book, nor in the previous five. Everything is so cheesy, and there are a lot of feelings that are not translated into actions, so you can’t really connect with their story.
And also—my God—can you stop with all the squealing and screaming from the female characters? I cannot, I swear.
Another thing: she’s got too much on her plate? Seriously?! Mommy and daddy are getting a divorce and you have a rich boyfriend? Boo hoo, poor little privileged girl.
This book is way too long to have no conflict whatsoever. I’m just skimming the last bit because I hate leaving things unfinished, but seriously—boring.
4.5 "It's always been you, Phillip" Stars! (ARC provided by author)
Tallulah "Tally" Vander Zee attends Tilton University where she's a dance major. Dancing has always been her happy place. She dances with a troupe, but will be graduating this semester, and then hopes to be a professional dancer. She has great friends that are like one big extended family, and a massive crush on a guy in their friend group. The only problem is he's a decade older, and always been out of her reach. He's the fantasy, and she wishes she could move past the friend zone. One evening after one too many bad dates she gets the courage to proposition him. She quickly realizes it was a mistake, and now feels embarrassed and uncomfortable around him. Was she misreading the way he suddenly was looking at her? She can't help imagine what it would be like to be more than friends with Flip. He's gorgeous, kind, and the man of her dreams. She feels like she found the right guy, but just wishes she was on his radar.
Phillip "Flip" Madden is a professional hockey player for Toronto's team, the Terror. His career is thriving, but personally he's a mess. He's spent years avoiding meaningful connections, and his past. His faith in his ability to find and keep love was shattered, and he didn't trust his own judgement. He wanted to be defined by more than his bad decisions, but couldn't seem to escape his reputation. He's spent the last few years working on himself personally, and longs for something real. Then his coach's oldest daughter Tally lets him know she's interested in him. They've been close friends, and he's always cared deeply for her, but she's off limits. He's tried to ignore the way things have shifted between them over the past year, because there's so much at stake. She's made it clear she wants to be his, but his feelings terrify him. Will he be able to stay away from her, or will she be the only one his heart wants?
If You Keep Me (Toronto Terror #6) by Helena Hunting is a slow burn, age gap, coach's daughter, friends to lovers, sports romance about family, friendship, healing, undeniable connections and forbidden love. It's a beautiful story full of emotion, humor, chemistry, temptation and passion. I've been so excited for this book! Flip and Tally's story is the one I've been waiting on, and it didn't disappoint. Loved this book and this whole series! <333
I really wanted to love this because I’ve been waiting for their story since the series started and I hate that I can’t say I did. Now I think for other people this could have been amazing but for me it missed the mark in some areas and fell a bit flat. If you’re super into lovey dovey stories you may enjoy this. My notes below aren’t me hating, I loved this series, I’m simply expressing my thoughts.
I enjoyed reading about the friend group’s interactions and these two finally getting together. I’m actually intrigued to start the Tilton series. However, I would’ve loved to have more Flip POVs early in the book to show the development in his feelings for Tally because his view of her changed so quickly so early. It felt like he didn’t fight it for long, by chapter 13 he was asking her out. Flip’s character as a whole felt off for me compared to the last few books. Where did his humour from there go? By chapter 16 I was starting to feel that we haven’t really dove into much of Flip’s personality, it felt very basic and I feel like I know more about Flip from having read about him in all the previous books than his own. He was just extremely lovey dovey the entire time to the point for me it felt overdone and unbalanced. But I think if you enjoy mushy romances you may not mind. And Tally wasn’t registering for me, I get she’s in university but the constant worrying “he’ll break up with me” and the way it was portrayed along with other things/reactions felt more like the maturity level of a high schooler and got old fast. The story could have benefited from more depth in general and character depth for both him and Tally. If I started this series out of order with this first I think I’d feel I didn’t get to truly know these characters. It felt like something was missing and very one level. They didn’t really make me feel.
*SPOILER* Tally’s dad was suddenly very okay with Flip after an incident occurred which didn’t make sense to me how he suddenly wasn’t upset the next time they interacted. And it didn’t feel to me that Flip and Tally properly talked about their issues after they hit unpause. They just kept carrying on like normal but I’m like the things she feared are still present and weren’t really addressed. He just gave her the journal and it was like problem solved. *END OF SPOILER*
Overall this was okay, I think I just expected more from how long I’ve anticipated it. But I can see this being some people’s cup of tea. I’m sad to see this series come to an end, it’s been a great journey. Truly may check out the Tilton series to cope😭
“You opened my eyes, and I couldn’t close them again. Lord knows I fucking tried, kitten. But every time I saw you after that, I couldn’t stop seeing you.”
I think we’ve all been collectively waiting for this book lmao
4.5 stars
Tallulah Vander Zee is the dream I’ve never dared to let myself have.
Okay, but Flip being a sensitive, caring, golden retriever was not on my 2026 bingo card! What a king. I will always say Helena is one of my fav romance writers, and this book was no exception. She really knows how to reform the playboys and turn them into green flag men. Seriously, Flip had great character development over the series. She’s also the queen of found family and I honestly need that irl please lmao. Tally and Flip had great chemistry and banter, and the spice was spicing!

Thank you so much to Helena and Sarah for this ARC!
Two of my least fav tropes but I couldn’t put it down?????

~~ It might have been the phase of my cycle, but each time they simply held hands or kissed in this cute, slow, casual way I felt like sitting on a fluffy pink cloud all giggly. ~~
This final installment of the series was a beautiful story, perfect wrap for the whole gang and made me so excited for all the books Helena Easter egged here. Flip and Tally - I’m gonna be honest, I wasn’t much excited for their story, not really until If You Claim Me. I’m not a big fan of age gap trope, I’m also not a big fan of when she’s had a crush on him for years. Having said that… these are the main tropes in If You Keep Me and it turned out to be a 5 star read for me! I never doubted I would love this book, I’ve been following this series since the very first book and I like Helena’s writing style and I knew the tropes will be well executed, even if I’m not a fan of particular ones. But I did not expect to love it THIS much. I was hooked from the beginning and couldn’t stop reading. The age gap is pretty big (9 years, she’s 21 and he’s 30) and Tally’s crush was really big, but somehow their story is so much more than that. They are the cutest together and their relationship, while having some young love vibes, is so mature. Flip has his playboy past and his carrying a secret nobody, not even his sister or best friend knows about. Tally is struggling with a lot, too - final year of college, her parents’ unexpected divorce, kind of rebuilding her place in the whole fam (she was more of a coparent to her younger siblings than a sister) and the whole media shitstorm due to her relationship with Flip. Their story is sweet and tender but also the tension is tensioning, the burn is burning, the spice is spicing. Although it’s quite long, I didn’t feel it at all, I was flipping through the pages so fast.
I simply loved the whole execution. The maturity and communication, how both of them had their “issues” and how they worked through them. I could feel the love and I can easily see them being together forever. Besides age gap and she’s had a crush on him tropes, it’s also coach’s daughter and virgin FMC tropes. These two were also so damn well executed. I love how Helena took the “standard” tropes but turned them around in not the usual and cliche way. And the third act not-a-breakup? Yes, yes, yes!!!
I love the whole gang of this series but I absolutely adored every little mention or scene with Dred and/or Connor 🥹
Does it count as a reread if I finished the book on Thursday but then got the ALC on Saturday? The audiobook length is almost 14h so quite long but it’s so worth all the listening hours!!! Narrrated by Lee Samuels and and CJ Bloom. I loved the narration and this audio, together with If You Claim Me, is up there on my list of audiobooks I will be coming back to.
Even if I was dating the hottest guy/my dream man I would never tell him that. & this girl really had to every single chapter. like please stand up.
another thing, this man has serious issues. like you are 30 and a 21 yr old girl is having to baby you constantly. such a fragile ego. truly go to therapy.
there are 15+ people in the friend group and there is no reason for every single one of them and their s/o and their kids need to be talked about constantly with no back story. i understand this is book 6 in a series i haven't read but idc. i'm not here for them.
this had a lot of potential hence why i read 65% of it but there was no way i could finish this.
If You Keep Me is a delicious slow burn romance that brings on all the swoon. I couldn't wait to get my hand on Flip and Tally’s love story and it did not disappoint! It’s my new favorite Toronto Terror story!
Tally has been friends with Flip for years. She’s almost ten years younger and still in university so friends are all they’ve ever been even though she has had a crush on Flip for what feels like forever. She’s tired of dating boys who only want her because she’s the coach's daughter and still has her v-card. However, she is ready to lose it, she just needs someone she trusts.
Out of the blue Tally propositions Flip and though he turns her down, things shift between them. They spend time together with friends, but there is something brewing between them that is new and hard to deny. When Flip realizes that he truly wants her, he wants to do things right. He wants to give her all the things she’s missing and give himself the things he needs after the heartbreak he endured years ago.
Their connection is wonderful from when they are just friends to when they explore more. They are mature, don’t want their relationship to be a secret, and do things the right way. Dating and taking things slow lets them get to know each other’s wants and desires while strengthening their relationship. Since they have been friends for years, they know so much about each other already but they want to know even more. Both have some major challenges to overcome when it comes to managing a new relationship, but they are willing to try.
It’s such a great slow burn romance. The pacing was perfect and I loved the tension that builds each time they are together. I love that they can be vulnerable with each other and how close they become by opening up and talking about what they want. Everything is going amazingly and it all seems perfect, but Flip has a secret - one that has the ability to change everything.
I dreaded the scene where Tally finds out the truth Flip has been hiding. It hurt more than I thought even though I knew it was coming. There is a lot of growth and understanding between them as they figure out what to do after their hearts are broken. I loved that they knew what they needed so that they could eventually find themselves back to one another.
I loved this story and was swept away in the romance. Another 5 star read!
And another 5 star audiobook. Duet narrator is my absolute favorite and the narrators were perfection. They brought the story to life with different voices that were full of emotion. I felt like I was living thier story right along with the characters. Everything was so well performed. I highly recommend this audiobook.

Oh, this is absolutely gonna be a rant. Just a heads up.
I’ve been really looking forward to this book for a while now. Which is why it really bums me out to say that it was so unbelievably boring. Like, unforgivably so.
Nothing. Fucking. Happened.
And my god, the repetition! It felt like it was just the same thing over and over and over again. Describing her going to classes, dancing, being exhausted, hounded by press, stressed about classes, the constant references to her parents failing marriage, with nothing actually moving forward. And Flip’s weird intense obsession that happened super quick and felt so disingenuous. Even the spicy scenes were boring AF, so I ended up skimming a good chunk of it. And I rarely skim books. I usually dedicate my full attention even when I’m not loving it. But my patience couldn’t take it during this one. I mean, it was SO LONG. Why was this book so long when nothing really happens?? Just more room to repeat the same goddamn scenes over and over again.
Plus repeated mentions of tang and dropjes. Why is it necessary to bring up the same items so many times that it just feels false?? Had to look up what dropjes were, because Canada, and it’s some unappealing black licorice candy. And usually I’m a strong proponent of don’t yuck someone else’s yum. But at the same time, only sociopaths like black licorice.
I also did not feel the connection between them AT ALL like I did in the previous books. Which felt weird. I’ve been shipping them for so long and it just fell completely flat in their own much anticipated book. They got together so quickly and with no real spark. Plus the drama felt so forced and inane.
I also expected more to happen within her parents marriage given how often it was brought up and how many times the author mentioned the dad looking worse for wear. How he would be slightly distracted while letting his assistant coach take charge a bit. Made me think it was being set up so that he was going to come to some realization about how he was always prioritizing hockey over his family and retire. Maybe try to make some big changes to attempt to earn them back? But nope. It’s just swept under the rug by the end. It really didn’t sound like changes were made at all. So Tally just accepted it and forgave him for being such a shitty dad and husband? Cool. Cool cool cool.*
*I think this might have triggered some of my own traumas tbh.
I’ve found Hunting’s books to be really hit or miss for me. Some have really hit and I know that I already had high expectations for this one because I’ve been looking forward to it for so long. So that probably made me judge this a bit harsher and even nitpick the amount of mentions of a certain orange beverage. But this was just so incredibly disappointing. I really wanted something more. This may have turned me off from reading anything else by her again for a while. Just so freakin boring.
I am SO sad that this series is over.. but Flip and Tally's story was long-awaited and the perfect way to end things. This universe is so special, one of my favourites and I have truly loved every story!
We first meet Flip and Tally in book 1. She's the coach's daughter and a teenager at the time. It's always been these two; they've been drawn to each other and knew they'd be together when the time was right.
4.5 stars - read if you like: - hockey - coach's daughter - age gap - virgin FMC - reformed playboy - found family
Flip is the resident playboy and bit of a dick. Finding out WHY though, man that gutted me. His growth throughout this series is so commendable. It's been amazing to watch him grow throughout the books and finally get his own happy ending. Seeing him realise what has been in front of his face the whole time was perfect. Flip was such a green flag, he was really trying his best to be the perfect boyfriend for Tally while life kept throwing her curveballs. She was wise beyond her years, and I really liked her character. The way she smashed through Flip's walls - perfect!
This story was angsty, emotional and messy at times but also very funny and very hot. Highly recommend this book and the whole series!
Thank you to Helena Hunting for the arc of this book! It's so appreciated!! Can't wait for what is next!
The final book in the Terror series was exactly what I’d been waiting for. After loving every book, I couldn’t wait for Tally and Flip’s story, and it delivered with plenty of surprises and satisfying moments. Helena Hunting wrapped up the series beautifully, even though it’s bittersweet to see it end.
The audiobook was fantastic. CJ and Lee were the perfect voices for these characters and truly brought the story to life. I’ll definitely be revisiting this series again. If You Keep Me is an EPIC read that will join the ranks of the BIBLIO-ARISTOCRACY!!!
I was SO disappointed in this book. I loved Flips character in the previous books. In this one? Not so much. He had NO personality and Tilly was super immature. It was almost as if Helena Hunting didn’t even write this book. It was nothing like the others in the series! Truly, it was as if a young and inexperienced writer wrote this!
I felt that the plot droned on and on without making any forward movement, then in the final pages, bam! All is well and they all lived HEA. It took everything in me actually finish this one.
Sadly, this did not seem like a Helena Hunting level book.
Helena does it again and again with her hockey romance books!!!! QUEEN!!! I adored this series so much, and Flip became a favorite after this. A spicy forbidden age gap romance ❤️🔥 Tally is a dance major and her dad is Flips hockey coach 🤭 A great way to end the series!
✨ARC review✨ Tally and Flip were THE MOMENT 😭🥹 such a beautiful ending to an outstanding series! we always knew that these two were drawn to each other and when the time was right, these two would end up together 💜
Tally is a senior in college and getting ready to start the rest of her life and she wants to knock off the one thing on her list that she’s had all her life, that pesky little v card, and who better to proposition than Flip of the Toronto Terror, former playboy, trusted friend and long time crush 🤭
with that one opening, Tally smashed through all of Flip’s walls and he finally was able to look at Tally as more than the coach’s daughter. the man did everything right from the start and it was so beautiful to watch how much growth Flip has made throughout the years. Tally had to work through all of the challenges that life was throwing at her and our man Flip, did everything in his power to be exactly what she needed
their chemistry was hot hot hot and they were literally meant for each other. Tally was willing to try anything and realized their kinks matched up quite nicely 🙂↕️ they deserved their happy ever after and it was a heartwarming ending to the series!
if you haven’t read this series, you need to immediately because what are you even doing?! the entire Toronto Terror family is one big ball of love and i’ll never be over them 😭
Well Helena Hunting has done it again! She completed this series with a bang! (pun intended) Out of the whole series I was looking forward to Flip and Tally’s story the most and it did not disappoint. The character growth of Flip from If You Hate Me to now was beautiful. This boy grew into such a wonderful man. He had a beautiful arc from Playboy to serious boyfriend material. The way he treated Tally, and they way they worked through their problems was so gratifying to read. I love the way Helena wrapped up the series and can't wait to read more of the spinoff to the Toronto Terror.
5⭐️3🌶️ Flip & Tally have my whole heart🥹 The emotional rollercoaster these two took me on was chaotic, filthy, and I loved every moment of it! I’ve been waiting for Flip’s redemption since “If You Hate Me” and Helena you did not disappoint! Tally’s growth and insistence to be treated as an independent adult is I think something we’ve all felt when approaching adulthood, especially in her role as the eldest daughter. I’m so sad this series is ending but I cannot wait for Helena’s next Tilton U release!
There had been many hints about Flip and Tally in the previous books in the Toronto Terror series and it hit me like a flash.
I love everything and every page in this book. There are books that need to hit you on the right time to love them and this is right now mine.
The book is well written, I consumed this book in a few hours and couldn't put it away. Long hours worth every single second.
The story is told from both POVs (Tally & Flip) in the first person which always helps me to stay more connected and invested in the protagonists. I was able to feel so many emotions through them, like literally cry, laughing out loud (in some not appropriate moments -sorry not sorry-), be sad, happy and all the in between. There are a lot of emotions, but they're important in their evolution.
Tally and Flip gone a long way in their individual outcome but also together. I could clearly see an evolution in both. They're outgrow themselves in a perfect way. I really loved this.
I also love the connection between Tally and Flip full of chemistry and friendship. The age gap doesn't feel heavy. Tally might be younger but she's and old soul since childhood which shows up clearly and is realistic and relatable from her past experiences.
Flip had already evolved a lot since book one in the Toronto Terror series, but now having finally his own point of view makes it more palpable and understandable. I could relate with his past experiences and understand his motives for his past and his will to change into the person he's now.
I need to talk about the chemistry. It's hot, it's fun and who knew Cammies Fan Fiction could be so much fun when other pairs discovered them? The spice level is a solid 4/5. Flip has the perfect boyfriend material: He's attentive, loveable, caring, protective and we know he's a hockey player with all that hip training he's good at all.
non native English readers: This story is easy to follow and to understand.
conclusion: Great finale in the series with all the hot stuff to make a girl swoon all over.
I was really looking forward to Flip’s story and dived enthusiastically into this book. I like Flip’s evolution over the course of the series from f*ckboy to grownup, and I thought his approach to starting a physical relationship with Tally was mature and made a lot of sense for his character arc. The final 25% of the book, where they worked through issues related to communication and insecurities, piqued my interest.
But the other 75% of this book felt really disappointing. For me, there wasn’t any meaningful development of the characters’ relationship; the book begins with both leads already emotionally invested in one another and once they begin any sort of physical intimacy, they’re immediately making promises that they will never be intimate with anyone else ever again (this is before the halfway point of the book). There’s no tension, no evolution, no indication as to what made them fall for the other - just a lot of repetitive interior monologue about how special the other person is and how committed they are to them. But the reader never sees quite why this is - we’re only told that it’s so. I feel like Flip’s personality came through more strongly in previous books in this series than in his own story, and Tally’s never really lifted off the page for me; there was nothing particularly distinctive about her other than her dance major.
I struggled with the dialogue; the declarations of love got increasingly sentimental as the book went on and became OTT by the end. I understand not everyone subscribes to the ‘less is more’ perspective, but for me, one or two heartfelt, soul-baring notes or speeches is special; a dozen or more of them erodes any emotional impact altogether. I also felt like the dialogue was losing touch with reality at some points. When tough Coach Vander Zee tells Flip, “It’s an honour to have you love my daughter,” I was unable to suspend any further disbelief.
Tally’s dissatisfaction with her father’s work-family priorities are understandable, but her occasional thoughts about how unfair it is that she was forced by his absence to help look after her siblings comes across as whiny and out of touch. It’s a very small subset of families worldwide where the members under 18 are expected to be free of any responsibilities to those around them, and while Tally’s failure to grasp this makes sense in the context of the story because she has grown up in privileged circumstances, there’s such a contrast between her upbringing and Flip’s that I kept waiting for this to create some tension between them or character growth on Tally’s part - but that never came.
Another element that didn’t work for me was Flip’s gifts of clothing prior to big events. This didn’t strike me as particularly romantic - it’s nice to want to cover the cost of something your partner may not necessarily easily afford, but there’s something vaguely controlling about deciding what exactly your partner should wear without even asking for their input.
I think I would have enjoyed this book a lot more if Flip’s character growth had taken place on page, in his own story, rather than behind the scenes over the course of the last four books in this series. There was nowhere left to go by the time we got to his book, and that resulted in a less-than-interesting read for me.
Thank you to the author for the advance reader copy.
I was lucky enough to get the ARC in ebook and audio, and both were amazing!!! I’ll listen and read again and again!!!
Helena Huntings writes characters that feel like your real life besties, and I’m here for it!
Not gonna lie, I’ve never cared much for Tally in any of the books, but I love Flip! Even when he was a Richard in If You Hate Me, I was waiting for him to find his happily ever after. We just had to wait for him to grow up and move on from his past. Tally being younger, I think, was perfect because Flip never had a committed relationship besides the one that still tries to ruin him.
Flip was understandably cautious on starting a relationship with Tally. She’s younger, inexperienced, his coach’s daughter, and in their friend group. What happens if this doesn’t work out? It could turn real awkward and end up with him being traded away from his home, friends, and family. Not to mention split the friend group.
Tally is going through a lot with her family, her last semester of university, and trying to have a real relationship with Flip (after he turned down her proposition). Her stress level is understandably high.
As expected, Flip’s horrid past was thrown in his and Tally’s faces as soon as they made their relationship public. Can you imagine how awful that would be? We only got a taste of the pain with Tristan and Rix. Lucky for their relationship, Tally had been around to see Flip redeemed himself over the years and knew he wasn’t the playboy he used to be.
This friends to lovers that started as a high school (for her) crush and grew into building a life and future together is exactly the type of happiness I love in books.
I still don’t like Tally as much as I love the others, but she is perfect for Flip.
I love that the ham sandwich gets a few mentions in this book! 🤭
Spice level: perfect Love story: amazing Character growth throughout the series: 10/10 Ebook: 10/10 Audiobook: 10/10
I’m excited to order a physical copy to add to my book trophies!
I can't believe this series is over but ending with Flip and Tally was a perfect goodbye. I have been waiting for Flip's book since the beginning, and even more so after the previous two books. The tropes HITTTT in this book and I ate up every single scene.
Tally is a character I loved seeing in other Terror books and I adored her even more after treading this one. She was so dedicated to dance and she worked her butt off for everything she dreamed of. That includes getting Flip haha.
While Tally was going through a difficult time, Flip was there for her every second! That man was down bad for her!!! I love love love Flip. This book allowed us to see him deeper and absolutely fall in love with him. He took care of Tally by giving her whatever she needed int he moment. He was there for all of her dance performances, he let her stay with him when she was having a difficult night, and he let her into his heart. A heart that had been broken before and one that was terrified to open up to anybody.
I will miss these characters and this world so so much. I know this isn't the last we'll see of our Terror guys and BBB, but this series will continue to live in my head rent free. Thank you so much to Helena Hunting for the e-ARC of this book and creating these amazing stories ❤️🏒.
Helena Hunting did it again with If You Keep Me. It is the final installment in the Toronto Terror series. I have been waiting so long for this one that I can’t believe the series is over. This is an age gap/forbidden relationship/slow burn trope. Flip is a hockey player for the Toronto Terror. Tally is the head coaches daughter and she has had a crush on Flip for years. With Tally getting close to graduating college, Flip is finally seeing Tally in a whole new way. He can no longer keep her in the same box she was in as a teenager and he wants to be worthy of her. Watching these two orbit each other has been so enjoyable and made this book worth waiting for. I’m sad to see the series end but knowing everyone got their happily ever after is worth it.
Thank you to the author for sending me an ARC and giving me the opportunity to read this book early.
