I didn’t decide to come to St. Andrew’s Academy on a whim. I came to prove to myself that real Doms exist in this world, and everything that went wrong in the past wasn’t my fault. I’ll spend a few months learning the art of total power exchange from someone who knows what they’re doing, and on Match Day, I’ll be chosen by a man who can give me everything I’ve always wanted – rules, safety, and financial security.
But life has a funny way of screwing me.
The Dom in charge of training me for my future husband is nothing like I expected. Orion is scary in a way that calls to me, punctual in a way I crave, and although he teaches me everything right about scene life, he teaches me even more about myself.
With him, I don’t have to be perfect. I just have to be me, and as he helps me unlearn all the falsehoods I believed about being a sub, it frees me up to figure out what I really want.
And what I want… is him.
If only it wasn’t against the rules.
I signed the contract – we both did – yet every moment we spend together feels less like an obligation and more like a revelation that we were made for each other. But he’s a man of the rules, and I came crawling to this school begging to have them.
Maybe it’s time we make our own.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5 🌶🌶🌶🌶/5

TW - drug use (mentioned), references to suicide, many references to off-screen physical, mental, and emotional abuse suffered by both main characters and some side characters, smoking (weed), nightmares (mentioned), alcohol consumption, an FMC who starts off with an *extremely* toxic view of what a sub should be, pregnancy (on page, side character), pseudo-incest (side characters), violence (on page, including guns and knives), murder, gore, blood,

CW - breath play, very light CNC, hyperspermia, dacryphilia, choking, hair pulling, biting, belly distention, light biting, public play, orgasm denial, hand necklace, collaring, oral fixation, exhibitionism and voyeurism, spitting, degradation, spanking, cockwarming, belt play, bondage, blindfolds, light masochism

Tropes - erotica romance, OTT jealous / possessive MMC, size difference

Representation - queer rep, MMC with heterochromia

Kady knows what she’s doing 😮‍💨😮‍💨😮‍💨 I’ve been looking forward to this book since Ronan when I found out what Orion (MMC) wanted to get involved in and this did not disappoint. It was hot af, as everything Kady writes is, and I enjoyed Ezra’s (FMC) story.
