A heartfelt beachside saga that celebrates small-town community and the strength of family bonds.
As springtime warms the air in Rosewood Beach, Dean and Noelle are finally preparing for their long-awaited wedding. Dean has recovered from his surgery and is feeling better than ever, ready to move forward with his life—starting by saying “I do” to the woman of his dreams.
Alexis, whose jewelry business continues to thrive, has offered to design custom pieces for Noelle, and excitement is high as everyone looks forward to the big day.
But the perfect celebration they’ve been anticipating takes a gloomy turn when heavy rainfall causes flooding in many parts of the small town. As the water recedes, it leaves behind extensive damage, with both homes and local businesses affected.
Despite their disappointment at the thought of postponing their wedding yet again, Dean and Noelle, along with the rest of his family, leap into action to help their neighbors. As the entire town comes together to aid in recovery efforts, Hazel and Jacob open their doors to a couple who has been temporarily displaced. Watching Samantha bond with their young child warms Hazel’s heart, and she and Jacob begin to dream about having a baby of their own.
Once the worst of the disaster is behind them, will the Owens clan and their friends manage to pull together new wedding plans for Dean and Noelle? Or will the happy couple have to keep waiting to take their vows?
Take a trip to Rosewood Beach, where the water is warm, the sand is soft, and the Owens family is waiting to welcome you into their lives! This sweet and uplifting women’s fiction series is the perfect bookish escape.

I have truly come to enjoy this Family and in this one it really focused on community too, this was such a heartfelt and heartwarming story and honestly it was perfect for the ending of the series.
If you are looking for a heartfelt, clean romance series I highly suggest this one!
Footsteps in the Sand (Rosewood Beach #12) by Fiona Baker, narrated by Amy McFadden, closes out the Rosewood Beach series in a way that feels both heartfelt and grounded in community spirit.
This final installment brings Dean and Noelle to the long-awaited moment of their wedding, finally able to move forward after everything Dean has gone through, including his recovery from surgery. The town rallies around them in full force, helping to plan and prepare every detail—from the wedding dress and jewelry to the food—making it clear how deeply everyone is invested in their happiness.
Just when everything seems perfectly set, a powerful storm sweeps through Rosewood Beach, leaving widespread damage behind. The reception venue is destroyed, and many homes and local places are affected, forcing plans to change and priorities to shift. Instead of focusing solely on celebration, Dean, Noelle, and the entire community are drawn into supporting those displaced and helping rebuild what was lost.
The Owens family steps in to organize temporary housing, opening their doors to neighbors and even new families who quickly learn what life in this close-knit town truly means. Through these moments, Rosewood Beach itself feels like more than just a setting—it becomes a living, breathing part of the story shaped by generosity and connection.
What stands out most in this series finale is how love stories of all ages are woven into the fabric of the town’s daily life, making everything feel interconnected and sincere.
Amy McFadden’s narration adds another layer of warmth and continuity. She keeps the voices consistent across the series and brings a familiar, comforting energy that makes returning to Rosewood Beach feel like coming home to people you know well.
Footsteps in the Sand Rosewood Beach #12 By Fiona Baker Narrated by Amy McFadden
Back to my favorite beach town for a wedding! It's time for Dean and Noelle to get married. These two have been through a lot and now that Dean is healed from his surgery, they can begin their life together. The whole town is in on it, from the wedding dress, to the jewelry to the food. But when a storm comes through devastating parts of town, including their reception hall, a whole new look at priorities comes in. Pulling together to help those in need, the Owens find temporary housing for many, including a new family that finds out just what it means to be part of this incredible small town. Noelle and Dean find out just how important they are to all their family and friends too. This is a fabulous listen, giving all the feels to fill my heart.
Amy McFadden brings this gem alive with an amazing narration. She is this town, keeping all the character voices consistent from book to book and makes me feel like I am coming home to good friends. I love her narration of the series, she has kept me engaged and my heart happy.
Calling all lovers of wholesome small-town charm, found family, tight-knit communities, and the kind of ending that leaves your heart warm for hours afterward 🩵
Footsteps in the Sand by Fiona Baker was EXACTLY the kind of read I was hoping for. Cozy without being boring, emotional without being overly heavy, and full of characters that felt real and layered in all the right ways.
And Amy McFadden? Phenomenal narration. She brought so much personality and life to every character, and I genuinely think she has some of the best male character voices I’ve heard from a female narrator. Every conversation flowed naturally and made the story incredibly easy to sink into.
Even when you think you know where the story might be headed, Fiona Baker still manages to weave in enough turns and emotional moments to keep you fully invested. By the end, I was just…happy. Completely satisfied in the best way.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️🌶️ Practically no spice at all, and honestly? Not a complaint whatsoever.
Thoroughly enjoyed this one and I’ll absolutely be continuing the series
This final book of the Rosewood Beach series is a great ending to the series. A bad storm with heavy rainfall damages several properties in the small town, forcing Dean and Noelle to find another venue for their already postponed wedding. Many people must find temporary shelter with other residents until their home repairs are completed. The most beautiful part of this series has been focusing on sweet love stories between people of all ages. Rosewood Beach is also an important "character", mirroring the giving spirit of the townsfolk. I really enjoyed this series !
A wonderful conclusion to a looong but heartwarming series.
After a big storm, the residents of Rosewood Beach had to find shelter within their community. Which also led Dean and Noelle having some issues with wedding planning. We got updates from couples in past books and truly saw how they show up for each other.
Amy McFadden did such an amazing performance with all 12 books. Her delivery was consistent and really sold this series to me. I’m going to miss these characters so much!
Thank you to Blue Nose Audio for an ALC of this title. All opinions are my own.
