For the Saint of Righteous Fury, Aylene Candent, the sacred mountains are more than stone and snow - they are a crucible of survival and intuition. Bound by the traditions of the Kandenthakan tribe, she undertakes a solitary trial, each step weighed by the gods of her ancestors. Success could bring honor to her people - but failure may cost her everything.

In the shadows of another realm, Alianii, a death goddess born of the void, walks a path of exile and awakening. Ancient and relentless, her existence is knotted to forces beyond time and memory. Where Aylene's light ascends, Alianii's darkness gathers - and though their worlds are divided, their fates are already entwined.

Ascension is a lyrical tale of trial and transformation, where survival meets destiny, and the balance between light and shadow rests in the choices of two extraordinary women.

I found Ascension to be a beautifully written and deeply engaging story. From the beginning, I was drawn into Aylene Candent’s journey. Her trial in the sacred mountains felt intense and meaningful, and I could sense the weight of tradition and expectation on her shoulders. It wasn’t just a physical challenge, but also an emotional and spiritual one.

What really stood out to me was the dual storyline. Alongside Aylene, we follow Alianii, a death goddess with a mysterious and powerful presence. At first, her story felt distant and dark, but as I kept reading, I started to see how both their paths were connected. This contrast between light and shadow made the story more interesting and layered.

The writing style felt very poetic to me. Some parts were slow, but in a good way, because they allowed me to fully absorb the atmosphere and emotions. I could clearly imagine the snowy mountains, the silence, and the sense of isolation. At the same time, the darker world around Alianii added a different kind of depth and mystery.

I also liked how the book focused on inner strength and transformation. Both characters go through their own struggles, and it made me think about choices, destiny, and personal growth. It’s not just about action, but about understanding oneself and facing challenges with courage.

At times, I had to slow down while reading to fully understand certain parts, but I didn’t mind that. It actually made the experience feel richer and more thoughtful.

Overall, I think Ascension is a strong and meaningful read for anyone who enjoys fantasy with depth and emotion. It left me thinking about balance, destiny, and the strength it takes to rise above challenges.

I picked up Ascension after reading Redemption, and I honestly didn’t expect it to feel this intense and personal.

What I really appreciated about this book is how raw Aylene’s journey feels. She’s not just this powerful character anymore—she feels human, vulnerable, and at times, unsure of herself. The survival aspect in the mountains was written in a way that made me feel her exhaustion, hunger, and isolation. It didn’t feel like a typical fantasy setup—it felt real and grounded despite the magical world.

Alianii’s character stood out to me in a completely different way. There’s something mysterious and slightly unsettling about her, but also very intriguing. I didn’t fully understand her yet, but that actually made me more interested in where her story is going.

The world-building continues to expand nicely from the first book, and I liked how the author didn’t rush things. The pacing allows you to really sit with the characters and their emotions. At times, the writing gets quite detailed and intense, which I personally enjoyed, but it might feel a bit heavy for readers looking for a fast-paced plot.

What I liked most is that the story doesn’t try to make things black and white. There’s a constant sense of tension between light and darkness, and it makes the characters feel more layered and realistic.

Overall, I think Ascension is a strong sequel that focuses more on inner transformation than just action. If you enjoyed Redemption, this is definitely worth reading. I’m curious to see how the story develops further.

I really enjoyed reading Ascension. The book presents a very imaginative world with a unique blend of fantasy, philosophy, and complex magical ideas.

The concept of spiritual energy and the deeper structure of reality makes the story feel ambitious and thought-provoking. Some parts are quite dense, but that only adds to the depth of the universe the author created.

Overall, it’s a bold and original fantasy novel that leaves you curious about what will happen next in this world. I would definitely be interested in reading the next book.
