Uno and Kobayashi have joined the Astronomy Club, and Kobayashi begins to discover the joys of stargazing for the first time. But if Kobayashi wants to keep attending, he'll need to conquer his disgust for studying and pass his final exams for once. Will the support of Uno and his coworkers be enough to keep Kobayashi from spending summer break in school? And can Uno learn to have fun without wearing himself out?
Volume 1 made me super emotional. I thought it was absolutely incredible. Volume 2 is still great, but it feels a teensy bit more boring, or maybe preachy, or something like that.
"It feels like if you were hanging off the edge of a cliff and then someone turned to you and asked "Why?" instead of helping you up."
This series is special, inviting you into the mind of the neurodivergent. It really shows how the human brain isn't made on a conveyor belt and we each think and process differently. These kids are trying to navigate a world not designed for their brains, and it's so beautifully portrayed. The art is fantastic too. Highly recommend, can't wait to read the next volume.
Continues to be an adorable story about two people who feel like outsiders being there for each other and very understanding of one another. I thought the astronomy felt like it was pretty grade school level and maybe this was a little school and study heavy. This series shines most when our two friends are on page together. 3.75 overall.
