Accidentally Pregnant... Accidentally Charmed by the Grumpy Cowboy... Accidentally in Love
When I inherit the dilapidated Loveland Ranch on my birthday, I do what any self-respecting L.A. career woman would do —have one unforgettable night with a hot, broody cowboy and skedaddle before sunrise.
But when I hear that a crabby neighbor is suing my beloved grandmother’s estate, I decide her legacy is worth the dirt under my manicure and start renovating.
Cue the hot, broody cowboy, who rides up on a horse and informs me he’s the crab. And just when I think things can’t get worse, the universe hands me another surprise.
A little pink plus sign.
Fitz and I have nothing in common except being fiercely independent. We come from different worlds. We have different visions for the future. We don’t share the same dreams, backgrounds, or even the same zip code.
But it doesn’t take long before I find myself wishing for all the things I’d given up on—a real partnership with a protective, kind, hot-as-sin man who reassures me I’m not fighting my battles alone. Except he’s fighting his own battles, and they may be too big for us to overcome.
Will this accidental family we created lead to heartbreak? Or could it be the life I’ve always wanted?
Stacy Travis writes charming, spicy romance about bookish, sassy women and the hot alphas who fall for them.
Writing makes her infinitely happy, but that might be the coffee talking. She drinks a LOT of it.
She's worked as a journalist, camp counselor, TV writer, SAT tutor, corporate finance researcher, education technology editor, and non-fiction author. When she's not on a deadline, she's in running shoes complaining that all roads seem to go uphill. Or on the couch with a margarita. Or fangirling at a soccer game.
She's never met a dog she didn't want to hug. And if you have no plans for Thanksgiving, she'll probably invite you to dinner.
Stacy lives in Los Angeles with her husband, two sons, and a poorly-trained rescue dog who hoards socks. And she's serious about the Thanksgiving thing.
The combination of small-town charm, family drama, unexpected twists, and heartfelt romance kept me invested from the very beginning. It wasn’t quite everything I hoped it would be, but I still found myself genuinely attached to the story and eager to see how it all unfolded.
Tessa and Fitz were easy characters to root for. Tessa’s determination and tendency to carry the weight of everything on her shoulders balanced perfectly with Fitz’s caring, dependable nature. I especially loved the quieter moments between them, which gave their connection plenty of warmth and heart.
What really stood out to me was the emotional depth woven throughout the story. Between the growing romance, the complicated family dynamics, and the promise of more stories to come, this was an enjoyable and comforting start to a series that definitely left me wanting more.
This was a warm, enjoyable romance that left me eager for the next book.

Huge thank you to Stacy Travis & Valentine PR for the ARC! 😍 All my bookish thoughts are completely my own. ✨
Tess and Fitz's romance is exquisitely achy and emotional. I simply loved these two. Their chemistry and their differences are skillfully balanced in such a way that in spite of what they say and what they absolutely believe they want, your heart and mind is always saying, "Yes, I totally understand, but...". Lol If you are anything like me, you'll be all in very quickly and cheering them on as their relationship evolves.
Tessa and her sisters thought when they learned they'd inherited a ranch, that it would be like in the movies. Alas, it hasn't been maintained, so is a bit dilapidated. So what's a bunch of city girls to do? Head out for a night on the town, to worry about the ranch tomorrow. Fortunately for Tessa, the local bar includes a gorgeous cowboy, and their night ends the way it's supposed to - a lot of fun to be had, not to be repeated. Until...that positive pregnancy test. Now she and Fitz are in a friends/co-parenting situation that's going to test that platonic rule very quickly.
Fitz has a lot on his plate, so the last thing he ever thought he'd be doing was co-parenting with a beautiful city girl who isn't any more inclined to a relationship than he is. But all this time they're spending together is wreaking havoc with their resolve to stay friends, and he can't help but want more. How do a cowboy rancher and a city girl lawyer make anything work - raising a baby together, and falling in love, when they live hours and worlds apart from each other?
This pair of opposites is all kinds of spicy! But it's their evolving emotional connection that kept me invested so hard. Witty banter, yummy chemistry, and two opposites with heart = just the kind of love story I love most, and what I've come to expect from Stacy. There are 5 sisters in this new series, and Fitz has a brother, I can already tell it's going to be a heck of a ride reading as all of them find love on Loveland Ranch.
I loved the premise of this book when I requested an ARC, and dive in thinking this would be a fun yet emotional read. The book starts off promising for the first few chapters when Tessa and Fitz met and hookup on her birthday, and when she returns to Loveland to check on the dilapidated ranch her grandparents gave the 5 sisters.
After the somewhat awkward announcement about being pregnant the book starts to get bogged down focusing on problems and obstacles. I was hoping for more development of their relationship but that really never happens.
It’s an entertaining read, but it didn’t live up to the possibilities.
I received a free ARC from the author and Valentine PR; and I am voluntarily leaving an unbiased review.
5★ 📖 - Accidentally in Love by Stacy Travis Wow if this is just the first book in this series I cannot wait for the rest of it! This is a small town, cowboy romance, with accidental pregnancy and I devoured it. This is a series that will follow five sisters who don’t really have relationship with each other or see eye to eye so when their grandmother leaves them her old wore down ranch house they have to figure things out. Tessa is amazing hardworking lawyer who does daydream at times and like to keep her life in order. Fitz is loved by the whole town of Willow Springs because of the man he is. He is a caretaker of those in need. I loved how Fitz took the pregnancy news after the shock wore off he ran to the store and got saltine crackers and ginger ale to help her with her nausea. They agree to just being good co- parents so she can keep being a lawyer in Los Angeles and he doesn’t want to move there . He has enough issues do deal with because of his brother’s issues. However, as time goes on feelings can’t be ignored. The banter this two have between each other is hilarious. They will have you rooting for them and have you pumped at the end on how they get their happy ever ending!
A beautiful story to kick off Stacy’s new series - Loveland Ranch.
Tessa’s life is turned upside down when she inherits the family dilapidated farm…along with her sisters. The sisters have a different type of relationship…I feel we will learn more throughout the series.
Tessa is a workaholic, list making perfectionist. She’s determined to take on this project and make it a success. She had a few roadblocks along the way…the biggest one is Fitz.
I adore Fitz. He’s a caretaker at heart and is loved by the small town where he lives. He’s always helping others…including Tessa.
A chance meeting, one night of magic, an unexpected baby lead to an incredible love story. The banter, chemistry and dialogue between these two is fabulous!
Looking forward to learning more about the other sisters.
Love a cowboy/ city girl accidental pregnancy romance
Such an enjoyable romance between our cowboy and the city girl who have one hot night together and then are brought back into each other's lives forever! I loved Tessas personality all throughout the story and fell in love with fitz all while hoping he'd break through and realize how much he needed Tessa! I loved seeing their life after baby Charlotte was born and really enjoyed the future bonus chapter! Think I'll definitely be checking out more from this series...
I wanted to love this. But a whole book of people who barely talk to each other was a lot to get through. I thought it would get better for me, but it didn't.
This was missing the romance spark for me. I could not feel any chemistry between the characters, maybe because of all the time skips. This story had a lot of potential but fell a little flat for me.
ARC Review 𝐀𝐜𝐜𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐲 𝐢𝐧 𝐋𝐨𝐯𝐞 By Stacy Travis Releasing May 20th
I became invested in this book page 1. Tessa is an absolute delight. She’s a sometime daydreamer, workaholic lawyer, stubborn to a fault and a definite planner of all things. Well, except an unplanned pregnancy.
Tessa and her 4 sisters discover that their grandmother has turned over her ranch house to them, a dilapidated, run down cabin in the small town of Willow Springs. The five sisters have never been close and immediately argue over what to do with this ranch. Tessa has always looked out for her sisters, it’s what she is. While in town, they all decide to celebrate Tessa’s upcoming birthday in a local bar. Here’s where Tessa meets the dreamy cowboy, Fitz.
This unlikely pairing is totally captivating reading. We have a city girl and a country cowboy who know nothing about each other except first names when they hook up for a one night stand that results in a surprise pregnancy. And then this same city girl tells her sisters that she’ll take over managing the renovation of the run down family ranch not knowing that the neighbor who’s suing her family for water rights just happens to be that dreamy country cowboy. And. Her baby daddy.
Oh Fitz. He calls her “Duchess.” He’s a caretaker by nature, even watching out for the entire town. Fitz is loved throughout Willow Springs. And he will steal your whole heart. Exhibit A: When Tessa tells Fitz she’s pregnant he’s in shock of course. But then? He runs into the local market and comes back with a box of saltine crackers and a six-pack of ginger ale. “For the nausea” he says. Yea. He’s a total cinnamon roll hero. But . . . they both agree there will be no relationship. Just coparenting. She’s focused on her career in Los Angeles. He doesn’t want a relationship and his brother’s issues are a lot for Fitz to deal with. Plus his home is Willow Springs. But then there’s the mutual attraction that’s getting harder and harder to ignore. These two are complicated, unsure how to move forward, Fitz has his walls up a mile high, but ultimately, they are absolutely destined for each other.
Stacy has a smart, witty writing style that captures your attention and doesn’t let go. I seriously couldn’t stop smiling at these two. The banter between the cowboy and his duchess is relatable and honest. Initially, they are constantly snarky with each other but when they really get to know each other, especially sharing Tessa’s pregnancy journey, emotions can no longer be hidden and these two will melt your heart into a puddle. This is a slow burn and so worth the wait. Fitz shows the city girl just how beautiful and peaceful country living can be.
I recommend this book for anyone who loves an opposites attract, surprise pregnancy, small town romance, with a few challenging siblings to keep everything interesting.
Accidentally in Love by Stacy Travis was such a heartfelt, addictive, and completely satisfying small-town romance read ⭐️💕 From the very first chapter, I was fully invested in Tessa and Fitz’s story. The combination of opposites attract tension, surprise pregnancy chaos, emotional vulnerability, family drama, and small-town charm made this one impossible to put down. I loved how the story balanced humor, emotion, romance, and personal growth while slowly building such a meaningful relationship between the characters.
Tessa was such a relatable and easy heroine to root for. She’s ambitious, stubborn, practical, and fully focused on becoming a partner at her law firm, but inheriting Loveland Ranch with her sisters slowly forces her outside of the life she carefully planned for herself. I loved watching her navigate the emotional chaos of unexpected pregnancy, family responsibilities, and her growing connection with Fitz while still trying to hold onto the version of herself she thought she wanted to be. Her relationship with her sisters also added so much personality and emotional depth to the story, and I already became invested in the Loveland family dynamic right away.
And Fitz? Absolute cinnamon roll cowboy perfection 😮💨🤠 Beneath the grumpy, emotionally guarded exterior is someone deeply protective, caring, hardworking, and fully devoted to the people he loves. I loved the way he immediately stepped up when Tessa became pregnant, even while trying to fight his own feelings and personal struggles. The little moments from him honestly made this book unforgettable, like the quiet caretaking, calling her “Duchess,” helping her through pregnancy, and constantly showing up for both Tessa and the town around him. His love for Willow Springs and determination to protect the community’s water rights added another emotional layer to his character that made him impossible not to love.
One of my favorite things about this story was how naturally the relationship developed between Fitz and Tessa. Their chemistry was there from the very beginning, but the emotional connection slowly deepened through shared vulnerability, banter, tension, and learning to trust each other. I especially loved how the slow-burn pacing gave both characters room to grow emotionally before fully admitting what they wanted. Watching the city girl slowly fall in love with small-town life & with Fitz it honestly made the romance feel even more emotional and genuine.
Overall, Accidentally in Love was an easy 5-star read for me ⭐️ The emotional depth, small-town atmosphere, family dynamics, slow-burn romance, and unforgettable chemistry between Fitz and Tessa made this such a comforting and addictive story from beginning to end. I already cannot wait to continue the Loveland Ranch series and spend more time with this family 📖✨
Accidentally in Love by Danica Flynn was SUCH a fun read for me — and honestly, I think part of that is because apparently I’m fully in my cowboy/small town era right now 😂
First of all… the DIRTY TALK in this one?? Top tier. The chemistry between Avery and Nolan felt believable from the beginning, and the tension/payoff absolutely delivered. But what I appreciated most about their romance was how the accidental pregnancy trope was handled. It didn’t feel overly dramatic or manufactured just for conflict. It felt messy in a very real-life way, and I actually loved that. Like YES... people accidentally get knocked up, but they don't have to immediately be in a relationship or change their life... The emotions, fears, and conversations all felt natural instead of exaggerated for the sake of angst!
I also really connected with Avery’s professional journey outside of the romance. Watching her come around to the idea that she could completely change the direction of her life and still find happiness really hit home for me. I think a lot of us grew up believing we had to stay locked into one version of ourselves forever — one career, one plan, one path — and I always love seeing characters realize they’re allowed to want something different.
Overall, this one was sexy, emotional, cozy, and surprisingly relatable in a lot of ways. Definitely a great pick if you love small town romance, accidental pregnancy done WELL, and a cowboy who knows exactly what to say 🌶️
P.S. Anything that fights back at mega corporations? Yes. PLEASE!!!
HOUSEKEEPING: * Spice: 🌶️🌶️/5 * Reader Age Suggestions: * Content Warnings: adult * Kindle Unlimited: ✅ * Part of A Series: ✅ / Can it be read alone?: First book in series - time will tell!!
**Thank you to Valentine PR for the book! I received this book for free, but all thoughts are my own. – SLR🖤
A swoony cowboy, a one-night stand, and an accidental pregnancy make for the perfect recipe for a heartwarming romance. This charming story is a fantastic start to a new series and delivers all the feels, from sweet and tender moments to emotional growth and undeniable chemistry. Fitz completely stole my heart from the very beginning. He's kind, dependable, and the ultimate book boyfriend. Tess, on the other hand, is a hardworking city girl who has always put her career first. When a chance encounter leads to a passionate one-night stand, both of them believe it will be nothing more than a memorable night they'll never forget. Neither expects that single night together to change the course of their lives forever. When Tess discovers she's pregnant, fate throws them back together, forcing them to figure out how to move forward. Determined to do the right thing, Fitz steps up in every possible way, proving time and again what an incredible man he is. What starts as an agreement to co-parent slowly evolves into something much deeper as they spend more time together and begin to see each other in a new light. I loved watching their relationship develop naturally. The slow-burn romance was beautifully paced, allowing their connection to grow through trust, friendship, and shared experiences. Their differences as a city girl and country boy added depth to the story, creating moments of both conflict and tenderness as they learned to meet each other halfway. The emotional journey felt genuine and heartfelt, with plenty of sweet family moments that had me smiling throughout. Fitz's unwavering support and Tess's gradual willingness to open her heart made them an easy couple to root for. Their chemistry was undeniable, but it was the emotional connection they built that truly made their love story shine. Filled with warmth, romance, lovable characters, and a well-earned happily ever after, this was an emotional and satisfying read that left me excited to see what comes next in the series.
This was my first book by the author and I really enjoyed this story so much 🙂↔️
I have a very weak spot for books with surprise pregnancy so I knew I was going to love Tessa and Fritz’s story!! It’s Tessa’s birthday and she’s out celebrating with her four sisters and also trying to decide what to do with a farm they just inherited from their grandparents, turns out that she met Fitz that night too and they spend time together and they both agreed it was just one night
But!! A month later Tessa discovers that the night she spend with Fitz, let her a surprise because she’s pregnant 🙈 lucky for her, she’s going to be in charge of renewing the house in the farm and her neighbor turn out to be Fitz 🙂↔️ and even when they try to convince themselves they’re going to be just co-parents, it’s obvious the tension and chemistry between them is so strong that soon they’ll realized they’re never stood a chance against falling for each other ❤️
This was a very sweet book, I loved both Tessa and Fitz characters because they were dealing with so much more than just figuring out how to co-parent the baby they’re having, I loved the relationship between Tessa and her sisters and even when my heart broke a little reading Fitz and his brother Chad’s dynamics, I’m so happy about how they managed to solve their struggles as brothers, and I really hope Chad can get his own book because he needs to be happy again 😩❤️🩹 I also was thankful about reading a little about topics that are happening in real life in this story, such as the water crisis, and immigration, and I’m so glad the author wrote about this respectfully and with love ✨
I’m so excite to know what’s next with all this characters and can’t wait to read little cameos of Tessa and Fitz ❤️
Accidentally in Love by Stacy Travis had me out here kicking my feet one minute with the swoony romance and wanting to throw hands at family drama the next....
Tess inherits Loveland Ranch with her sisters and suddenly this rundown ranch becomes the center of chaos, secrets, and a fight to save the family legacy. Add in a birthday one night stand with Fitz — the town golden boy/rancher with the weight of everyone’s problems on his shoulders — and OMG… the tension was tensioning.
Fitz was honestly such a swoony MMC. Protective, dependable, emotionally exhausted, but still showing up for everyone around him. Sir. PLEASE...you cannot save everyone and everything even though you try. And Tess being this badass LA lawyer coming in ready to fight a giant corporation for the town’s water rights made me love her even more. She’s smart, stubborn, and absolutely not prepared for the emotional tornado of her own struggles or the issues her sisters throw at her.
The family dynamics in this one felt messy in the most realistic way, and both Fitz and Tess are trying to hold their struggling families together honestly broke my heart a little. Then trying to work out their situation...well it is really messy. But Stacy gave us everything plus a golden ending that I loved. There’s romance, small town drama, sister chaos, and enough emotional moments to keep you fully invested through each moment of chaotic bliss.
Also… Stacy Travis really said “good luck sleeping after this” because I immediately need the next book.
I really enjoyed this story. You had Tessa who’s a city girl, work driven within the same law firm she’s been with for 10 years, trying to achieve to make partner, whilst caring for her 4 sisters (despite them being adults) ever since their parents passed.
Then you have Fitz. Country boy through and through, owns a vast amount of land, struggling to keep his stock watered due to shortage and also, caring for his brother (again an adult) and helping him through personal struggles.
Neither of them have time for a relationship, so when they meet on a night out, they agree it’s a one and done situation. Perfect for all involved. That is until the unexpected happens…
The development in their relationship was smooth & felt real. Both expressed their concerns for the future, how they would make it work despite living 2 hours away from one another, whilst maintaining a strictly friends only status. But of course we know that won’t work. 😏. Fitz was really considerate of Tessa and stepped up to his responsibilities amazingly! And Tessa dealt with alot of weight on her shoulders but learnt how to delegate eventually. It was an amazing introduction to the Loveland ranch series and I can’t wait to see who will be next (Here’s hoping it’s Chad, I’d love for him to get his HEA ♥️)
✨ Thank you to VPR for the opportunity for this arc in exchange of an honest review ✨
This was a good book, you guys! I enjoyed Tessa and Fitz’s journey. I must admit, though, that it took me longer than usual to finish reading it, and let me explain why.
Even though the premise of this book immediately caught my attention—and don’t get me wrong, I still enjoyed it very much—there was a point where the story slowed down for me. If you’ve read it, then you know Tessa and Fitz meet and hook up on her birthday. Happy birthday to Tessa, am I right?
Once Tessa discovers the birthday surprise courtesy of Fitz, she goes back not only to check on the house but also to tell him about it. From that point on, at least for me, the story started to drag a little. It seemed to shift focus from Fitz and Tessa’s relationship to the water rights of the Loveland Ranch and the surrounding ranch land, including Fitz’s ranch. I found myself wishing there was a little more happening between the two of them instead of mostly back-and-forth text exchanges.
That being said, I really enjoyed the dynamics between the sisters. Was it chaotic and messy? Oh yes, it absolutely was. But if you have sisters, then you know things can get pretty chaotic at times. At the same time, they’re also built-in best friends, and I loved seeing that portrayed throughout the story.
Overall, this was a good read. We get romance, small-town drama, sister chaos, and enough emotional moments to keep you invested in the story. I’m definitely looking forward to finding out what happens with each of the sisters in the upcoming books.
⭐️ARC REVIEW⭐️ Accidentally in Love by @stacytravisauthor 4.5 ⭐ / 3🔥🌶
“Save a Horse Ride a Cowboy, Ladies.” Buckle up, you're in for a good one here.
This was a sweet, cute and enjoyable read. A great start to what is bound to be another great series by @stacytravisauthor. Tessa and Fitz just clicked. I was hook line and sinker for their story. Although I wish we had a bit more character development, what we do get leaves you wanting more with every page.
Their communication, their heated chemistry and connection it all worked and was a great package as a couple. Give me a Cowboy x City Girl Romance with a steamy one night stand and accidental pregnancy anyday! I loved how they worked their way to the family they both always wanted and weren’t sure they were going to have.
They may be business rivals but Fitz is next level, he shows up for Tessa in everyway and it is just swoony cowboy perfection. He’s protective, loving, caring and down right sexy. The full Cowboy package.
@stacytravisauthor delivers another swoony, steamy romance that is setting up Loveland Ranch to be another one of her best series. Add Accidentally in Love to your TBR today.
Thank you @stacytravisauthor and @valentine_pr_ for my ARC.
This book was SUCH a sweet, comforting small-town romance and honestly delivered everything I want from an accidental pregnancy story 😭🤍 Tessa and Fitz had chemistry immediately, but what I loved most was how naturally their relationship developed after that first night together. There was attraction and tension, but also genuine friendship and care underneath everything, which made the romance feel really warm and believable. And Fitz?? Such a lovable MMC 🥹 The way he showed up for Tessa, supported her, and tried to navigate everything with so much care made it impossible not to root for them. I also really loved the family dynamics throughout the story. Tessa’s relationship with her sisters added so much heart to the book, and the emotional layers involving Fitz and his brother made the story feel deeper than just the romance alone. The inherited farm setting and renovation storyline gave the whole book such a cozy atmosphere too 🌾✨ ✨ what to expect ✨ 🤰 Accidental pregnancy 🏡 Small-town romance 🌾 Inherited family farm 💞 One night stand to more 🩵 Strong family dynamics 🔥 Chemistry + emotional connection ✨ Dual POV vibes This was sweet, emotional, romantic, and ridiculously easy to binge. Such a strong start to a series and now I already want every sibling’s story immediately 😭🤍
Tessa is out with her sisters celebrating her birthday and they need to decide what to do with the farmhouse that their grandparents gifted them. This is where she meets Fitz and this turns into a night of some sexy fun. Both decides that this is a one-night stand and move on…. Or so they thought.
A month later Tessa finds out that the night she spent with Fitz is turning into something so much more… A surprise pregnancy… And another surprise, seems like the neighbor that is suing her grandparents, is none other than her baby daddy, lol
Fitz is adamant that he will be there for her and the baby, but that is it. Not relationship no romance, no nothing, except be co-parents. But the sexual tension between them might be just a bit too much for both of them to deny what is happening between them 😊
Tessa and Fitz were both stubborn about not wanting a relationship, but both of them needed it so much. Tessa put so much stress on herself by being the mediator of her family. Taking on so much responsibility for the farm. And Fitz was the same with his farm and his brother. But I loved how much Fitz supported Tessa and her decisions.
A very sweet, small town romance for a new start to a new series 😊 Looking forward to the next one in this series 😊
If this is the first book in this new series, I can't wait to read what Stacy Travis has in store for Loveland Ranch next. This small town romance with an accidental pregnancy and a hot man on a horse was truly a five star read for me.
Tessa, an exhausted attorney from L.A., inherits a dilapidated ranch along with her sisters from their elderly grandparents in the small town of Willow Springs. Shout-out to Grandma Ann! Tessa and her sisters end up at the bar for her birthday and she catches the eye of local rancher Fitz. They agree it's a one and done time together. No last names, no numbers. Which is great until two pink lines and a lawsuit bring them back together.
I loved these characters. They both took on so much responsibility in their lives. Tessa was the planner of her family. Fitz was basically trying to save the town, his farm and his younger brother. Fitz's walls were high and I honestly wasn't sure if he could let go and let Tessa in. I enjoyed their banter and how organic everything was between them. The accidental pregnancy trope was done well and flowed with the story instead of overpowering the plot. This had good spice and I loved how Fitz called her "Duchess" in that deep growl. It's such a unique nickname. This was a great emotional read that I loved. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐🌶️🌶️
This is a small town romance with some spicy bits, showcasing two stubborn people, brothers, five sisters, a cowboy, a lawyer, lots of land, lawsuits, and a surprise pregnancy.
The featured characters in this story are Tessa and Fitz.
Tessa and her sisters have just been given some property by their grandparents - Loveland Ranch - in a small town named Willow Springs in California. It is Tessa’s birthday, and so she and her sisters have traveled two hours from their hometown of LA to investigate what it is that they have inherited. And wouldn’t you know it, Tessa uses her birthday as an excuse to wish for something that is outside her normal.
Fitz finds himself at the local watering joint, known as the Hitching Post. His friend, Anthony is the owner and bartender there. And wouldn’t you know it, five beautiful women have caught the attention of everyone that has eyes. Fitz finds himself fixated on the woman wearing the crown, who just so happens to be the birthday girl.
Tessa and Fitz find themselves making a connection in all sorts of ways. They also get in their own ways when trying to maneuver life, people, property, and especially love!
I enjoyed their story and recommend this book!!
Thank you to Valentine PR for the ARC of Accidentally in Love by Stacy Travis.
When Ms. Travis shared teasers about her new series, I was hooked and I knew this was one book I needed to read. Being a country girl at heart, I will never pass up a great cowboy story and Ms. Travis delivers. I read this book in one sitting because I needed to see how long it was going to take both of them to see they needed one another. Accidentally in Love was a beautifully written, small-town romance that was so easy to fall in love with the characters and get lost in the storyline. Ms. Travis gives us a story filled with family, friendships, a city girl and a country boy who face obstacles together and apart. Tessa and Fitz’s story is one where you feel for both of them. Each one of them has baggage they can't seem to shake and when you add in a surprise pregnancy, things get really intense. Their chemistry was instant but some situations got in the way of them being together. You could tell they were falling in love but she felt he had walls up around him and she had the weight of the world on her shoulders. What I did love was the friendship they had that developed into a love that everyone could see when they were together. I am excited to be back at Loveland Ranch soon with the next installment in the series.
I picked this up because I really wanted to try the accidental pregnancy trope, and the premise sounded SO cute. I was expecting a fun and emotional romance with lots of chemistry and swoony moments, but unfortunately this one just didn’t fully work for me. 🥹
The story started off promising, and I kept hoping I’d connect more with the characters as it went on, but instead I found myself slowly losing interest. I wanted more chemistry, more emotional tension, and more moments that made me really root for the relationship.
Sadly, I never fully got invested in the romance, so as the story continued, I caught myself caring less about where things were heading. I think I just needed a little more depth and spark between the characters to really feel connected to the story.
That being said, it was still a quick and easy read, and I can definitely see this working for readers who enjoy lighter romances with a softer, low-drama vibe. This one simply wasn’t the right fit for me personally. 💕
Tropes: 🤰 Accidental pregnancy 🤠 Cowboy romance 🏙️ City girl x country boy 🏡 Close proximity 🌾 Small town romance
*4 stars* This is the first book in this series and a great start to it. As the lead character's Tess has a job function that is very near to the profession I work with in real life, it was really somewhat relatable so definitely felt that connection almost right away. I liked the spark between Tess & Fitz in the setting the story was written in and loved the feel about it. An enjoyable small town romance read!
When Tess hears about the inheritage she and her sisters received, she really doesn't know what to do next. A night out in the town for her birthday, she meets Fitz and after a one-night stand, they part ways. When she comes back to town, it's with a different feeling but she's determined to make the house the best it can be, with the help of her support system but when she sees Fitz again, they are both in for a surprise. Fitz has been very busy with his ranch and everything going on around him, but seeing Tess again brings back so many memories of their night but as they're also at opposite sides, he doesn't really know how to navigate everything. As time goes on, things between them start to change but will they find their way to each other in the end...
Accidentally in Love is an amazing read. I really enjoyed this one. This is book 1 in the Loveland Ranch series. I love how different the 5 sisters are as they begin to navigate the inheritance their grandparents dropped on them. Tessa is a lawyer with goals of making partner and one of the more practical sister who gets put in charge of the renovations of the family property. Fitz is the ranch owner next door trying to keep it running while fighting the big corporation with the rest of the town over water. Chance meet cute and one night between Tessa and Fitz will pull you in. I love the quiet falling with this couple. I love how Tessa helps Fitz and the town to fight for their water. Fitz and Tessa both have their own little issues and you see so many changes in them as they open up and grow closer. This is an accidental pregnancy and I just love how Fitz is all in even when Tessa is fighting the relationship with reason. Tessa and Fitz have wonderful chemistry and you are rooting for them. I cannot wait to see where this series goes and get to know Tessa's sisters more. Go one click this today and fall with Tessa and Fitz today.
