The Watchman’s Call, by Scott Thomson, is a must read for anyone seeking answers about their call as a Christian in our community and nation today.
So many times you hear, “what’s the point in voting or getting involved, it doesn’t make a difference!” This book gives you many, very clear reasons why this statement is wrong and very much an influence of the enemy. All of the reasonings are Biblically based and scripturally sound. The author leads you through the arguments for speaking out and being active in your community, from voting to small town governance and national concerns.
This type of book is not my normal read, but it answered some questions that I have had about my responsibilities to others as a Christian and even answered some questions I didn’t realize I had. It is an easy read that presents each reasoning quickly without skimping on the explanation, but not being so wordy as to lose your interest. It held my attention clear through to the end like no other book of this genre ever has.
HIghly recommend for the casual reader, the scholar, the curious, and the frustrated looking for answers to today’s confusing social climate!
