After surviving Christmas, he's just trying to stay sane, working a dead-end job and stalking the social media of Chloe, the co-worker he’s secretly obsessed with. However, as Valentine's Day approaches, a new monster emerges. A faceless entity that feeds on toxic passion.
It’s drawn to Chloe.
Leo is the only one who can see it, but the world only sees an obsessive stalker. He must fight a creature that feeds on his own loneliness, only to discover that in this new, sinister game... he isn't the hero. He's the sacrifice.
Twisted Vow is the second book in Twisted Harvest series. This one brings out the darker side of Cupid and love. we get to watch Leo realize that the girl he loves wants nothing to do with him.
Leo got fired from his job as Santa's helper, and is currently working at a convenience store and this is all happening around Valentine day, he starts noticing all these weird things happening, and realizing the unhealthy way that couples are being.
I absolutely love the way Brenda describes her books. I feel like I'm watching a movie in my head with how descriptive she is.
This story also dives deeper into what is happening in the world, and who is the puppet master in the background
Oh wow what a crazy Rollercoaster ride of a Valentine's Day Leo went through after Christmas. This story had me from the first page. I feel so bad for Leo through the story of everything is going through from the first story Twisted Wish. I was on the edge of my seat the whole time while reading this, I devoured this book so fast. Absolutely loved it. Cant wait for more!
A dark, paranormal horror story - set around Valentine's Day!
"Twisted Vow" is the second novella in the "Twisted Harvest" series and the writing style as well as the way the story was told completely captured me (and of course, the story itself)!
If you're looking for a different kind of Valentine's story, then pick up this book! I can only recommend it!
A huge thank you to Brenda Nighthawk for providing me this ARC! I am giving my honest opinion in this review.
absolutely love this book and how it carries on from twisted wish! The roller coaster that the MMC goes through again will have you gripped from the start!
I fell in love with MMC in the first book, but I loved him more in this one especially with valentines and everything he does to help save people.
highly recommend this read as either a good quick valentine read or just something you will truly enjoy..
Leo loses his job during Christmas only to get another mind-numbing job at a convenience store during Valentine's Day. The same entity that he saw in December is making an appearance now. Leo realizes that he has no control over what happens to him and the perception of those around him. Being inside his head, hearing his thoughts and experiencing his feelings is bazaar.
After reading this, I had to shake my head, so those feelings/thoughts didn't take root in my brain 🤪
Man Leo can’t catch a break. He’s wondering when the shoe will drop and when the entity will show its ugly face again. He stuck again at a dead end job that he hates which he then realized he was chosen to do this job for a reason and just a pawn in some sick game. How can he win against the entity that isn’t like the first?
This book was amazing! Leo never gets a break. I feel bad for him. 🫂 He's the psycho from Xmas..
I think the real horror was how Brenda describes the crappy, hourly, minimum wage dead end job 🤣🤣🤣💀 But seriously this was great. The monster feeding on toxic "love". And the secret "higher ups" controlling everything. *Chef's kiss*
I want more of this adrenaline fueled, high anxiety craziness. 😂💜
A quick and captivating read, this is the second book in the series and although I already loved Leo from the first book and that only grew stronger through out this one!
it’s an ambitious, moody horror story that doesn’t fully stick the landing, but it lingers in a way that counts.I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
Twisted Vow by Brenda NightHawk is book 2 in the Twisted Harvest Series. You definitely want to read Twisted Wish first to understand everything in this book. It is a horror novella with a little twisted love for Valentine’s Day.
Leo is still dealing with the events after Christmas when he notices odd things around Valentine’s Day. Not only does it affect his life but he is noticing it with everyone around him. There is a very dark side to Cupid and now he is left to figure it out.
Another great novella by this author I can not wait for more!
