This was actually so cute, I liked it!!
I really enjoyed listening to the audiobook, it was wonderfully done and made the experience even better. The narrator did an amazing job!!
Marigold and Jameson have been friends since childhood, but they are on the outs after he applied for an internship she wanted and didn't tell her.. She doesn't want to have anything to do with him, he keeps trying to talk to her and everything is complicated. Stuck working on an assignment for the paper together, spending time and reminiscing is forcing them to finally confront their feelings..
I absolutely adored Jameson, he was caring and patient, yet brooding and reserved. He took care of Marigold, even when she didn't want him around, he protected her and made sure she took care of herself. He was so swoonworthy and a hockey player to boot!!
I liked Marigold, but she did get on my nerves at times. Her parents were the worst and I understand where she's coming from, but her refusal to talk to James was a bit much.. It did break my heart seeing her push herself too far, just to live up to expectations of others..
They were really good together and knew each other so well. The yearning, the book quotes, the food, the library, the pen, the protection, the way he never gave up, the care, the notebook, the unbreakable love!! While nothing memorable really happened plot wise, all those moments made reading this a fun experience.
I adored the found family aspect, the girls were the best. They were always there for one another and had each other's back. And Nash and Paisley were such a great addition.
Also, I loved Jameson's family, especially his mom and the way she treated Marigold, she always had a place with them.
I'm very excited for Aurora's story though, I have a feeling it's going to be my favourite!!

This was very cute! I liked the childhood best friends who can’t stand each other anymore trope, and the hockey setting was fun. The tension and banter between them were cute, but I definitely knew where this was going the whole time 😭 Still it was a cute, easy read and I had a good time with it!

Everything, from the academia vibes, to the soul-crushing yearning was done so well! I can always count on any of Annah Conwell’s books to have sweet, swoony moments and characters but to also have heartfelt and deep emotional scenes too.

4⭐️ ARC Review: This was actually cute. I think it’s my favorite by Annah now that I’m thinking about all the books I’ve read from her. I don’t think I’ve read a best friends to enemies romance. Like ever. So it shook up what I usually read. Which is why I think I enjoyed it.
Anyways. Did anything really happen? Honestly not really. Did that bother me? For this story, for some reason it didn’t. I mean things obviously happened but nothing like outstanding. So I’m a bit confused on why I liked it so much lol.
I mean I enjoyed Jameson. A lot. He was so sweet and patient yet brooding and reserved. And honestly a bit violent on the ice ha. He’s just all around the type of MMC you like reading about. He’s a hockey player. Need I say more. Men who play sports are just superior. (I may be biased since my husband played college basketball🤷🏼♀️)
Marigold was a bit frustrating for me and hard to understand. I get why she feels the way that she does, but to let that ruin a life long relationship? Absolutely not. So I didn’t love her, but she was a fine enough character beyond her pettiness. I think I’ll enjoy her friend’s stories better.
I’m grateful their story played out the way that it did. Jameson deserved all the good things. And I guess Marigold did too. Her parents suck so I do feel for her. I LOVED Jameson’s parents though. Well mostly just his mother. She was so good to Marigold and I loved the bond they had. The garden reference they used was adorable.
Anyways. I liked this. It was cute. I’m glad I read it, and I recommend it. I’ve been out of college for a few years now, but I still felt like I could relate and connected to these characters.

All the Glitters is the second book in the RomCom University series and was such a good read! It focuses on Jameson (aka The Traitor) and Marigold’s story, giving us this bookish, aww-inducing, sweet, yearning-filled, friends-to-enemies-to-lovers romance. *A pause for the BANTER*
“He shakes his head. ‘Do you ever run out of spite?’
I smile sweetly at him. ‘No, I buy mine in bulk.’”
Jameson is such an incredible MMC. He genuinely cares so so so deeply for Marigold and her wellbeing, and helps her to see herself. And even in the struggles he faces, he holds onto who he is.
Marigold is so full of spunk and personality, but has a deep rooted insecurity stemming from her parental relationship. She runs herself ragged in seeking their approval. Her struggles and anxieties around her future are some that I feel everyone can relate to on some level. Marigold’s growth in this books… so beautiful and honest.
And these two together?!?!? 💗🥹 Absolutely amazing. They help one another grow and heal, and they push each other in the best way (taking care of themselves, letting go of what is drowning them, etc.)
“Goldie is mine and I’m hers. And nothing is going to change that.”
“I want… him. And only him, every day, for forever.”
This is a clean book! It’s level 2 kisses only, no swearing, and very infrequent innuendo.
*Content warnings: It does have an instance where the two leads go to a secret fight club for journalistic investigation where alcohol is present and non-graphic boxing occurs, however it is a very brief scene. The leads do NOT partake in any drinking!Another side character consumes something in a flask; he is a member of a fraternity, but it is not clear if he is of age. Marigold often neglects to take care of herself due to strenuous work (forgetting to eat, drink water, doesn’t sleep), however others do help her.
Overall, All that Glitters was a truly wonderful read!!! It is the second in the series, but can be read on its own, though best enjoyed after reading the first for better context of characters!
Highly recommend if you enjoy banter-filled, CLEAN, swoony, sweet, bookish-meets-sports, heartwarming books that have all the yearning without the spice or language 🥰

I would like to thank Netgalley and Dreamscape Media for an ARCs copy of this book in exchange for an honest and unbiased review.
My biggest problem with this book is the premise itself. The whole plot revolves around the fact that the MMC “betrayed” the FMC but what he did is just sign up for an internship without telling the fmc about it. The whole time i wanted to scream about how its not that deep!!! I was so confused as to why every character was acting like he killed her grandma by applying to an internship without her for a job she doesnt even actually want !!! It felt so juvenile like something a middle schooler would get mad about. The whole plot was just miscommunication and the only reason this book isnt 10 pages long is that she refused to talk to him at all and would literally yell at him if he even tried to talk about what happened.
The narration was fine and i thought that both the narrators did their job pretty well, that their voices fit the characters and that they did a good job expressing the needed emotions.

The way Jameson loved Marigold was utterly beautiful. It made my heart ache in the best possible way. I adore that he called Marigold ‘Goldie’. He was so sweet and caring with her, it was the best thing ever.
Marigold was great! I loved her sass and the way she loves her friends so fiercely.
But she struggled to take care of herself, and I love that she had people who love her to take care of her. And she grew as a person through the struggles, with Jameson by her side.
The whole story broke my heart and put it back together. Jameson and Goldie were truly the sweetest ever!🥹

I stayed up late JUST LIKE A COLLEGE STUDENT and finished this sweet college romance from Annah Conwell. Keeping in mind that 18 year olds don’t always know how to push past emotion to rational thought (because otherwise the “conflict” would have gotten to me, ha ha), I ended up falling for Marigold and Jamison’s friends-to-enemies-to-lovers story. She’s hurt, he wants to rescue, and together they vulnerably choose risk over anger and distance. Because with a friendship like this, you gotta fall in love. Minus the fight, I strongly relate to this RomCom University installment because I, an English major, also fell in love with my best friend our freshman year of college; and fifteen years later, "I love him very much - more than I could trust myself to say - more than words have power to express." (To which Jamison and Marigold would reply, “Jane Eyre!”)

I absolutely loved this book! Friends-to-lovers is my favorite trope, but I think friends-to-enemies-to-lovers might be my new favorite 😏 the friendship that Marigold and Jameson have from childhood is so special and I love that despite everything that happened between them, there is still so much love. AND THE YEARNING! Ugh, Jameson’s POV and the way that he misses and loves Marigold is beyond words. I highly recommend this book and hope you love it as much as I do.

This is the second book in the RomCom University series, but I had no trouble jumping in, so it can definitely be enjoyed as a standalone.
Jameson and Marigold were so easy to root for. Their banter was one of the highlights of the story, and I loved how their relationship was built on genuine care, support, and plenty of sweet, swoony moments. Jameson is patient, thoughtful, and always encourages Marigold to believe in herself, while Marigold’s journey of learning to stop seeking everyone else’s approval added a nice emotional layer to the romance.
If you enjoy romances with lots of yearning, adorable chemistry, and emotional growth without the spice, this is a great pick. It’s a very clean romance with just a few kisses, making it perfect if you’re looking for something wholesome and feel-good.
The audiobook was an enjoyable listen, and the narration brought the characters and their personalities to life, making it easy to stay invested in their story.
Overall, All That Glitters was a charming, cozy romance filled with humor, heart, and lovable characters. It wasn’t quite a five-star read for me, but I had a great time with it and would definitely recommend it to readers who love sweet college romances with witty banter and plenty of heart.

For whatever reason, I am set on torturing myself by reading books that I know I'll dislike, determined to find one within the genre that I DO like.
Anyways, I'm not a rom-com person. I have never enjoyed rom-coms, and I have yet to find any that I like.
That being said, this wasn't the _worst_ one I've read... But it wasn't good either.
The writing wasn't bad, but the story was painfully cheesy and unrealistic.
Jameson was an okay main guy, but Marigold really bothered me somtimes. (Why do girls in these rom-comes seem to start sobbing ALL THE TIME.)
Plot wasn't great, and I didn't connect with the romance. (Not a single butterfly through any of the couple's scenes. 😔)
I always feel like these books just read like fanfictions.
Is that just me?

For me, it's a 1.8 star rounded up to 2 stars.

The series continues in spectacular fashion. I loved it, love that there are books this good for my girls to read as they near this age range. This girlfriend group is fabulous. Such different personalities 😍😍 love sporty MMCs but love how Annah writes her characters with more depth than just that. The mix of journalism and sport is great!

Marigold. My little college bestie 😭 I’d go from laughing over her quick wit to wanting to DoorDash a fictional character food bc GIRL is struggling 😭 I loved watching her let Jameson in and I LOVE how driven she is 💖 also… me and her truly procrastinating buddies 🙈
Jameson. He’s not at college, bc he’s gotten his degree already in YEARNING 😭😭😭 my goodness he brought that to another level 💖 I LOVED watching him try to gain his friendship with Marigold back ❤️🩹 and his friendship with Nash 🤠 amazing
The healing in this book was unreal ❤️🩹 I loved the found family 🥹💖 and THE SNEAK PEAK OF BOOK THREE (I screamed 😮) it’s gonna be so good!

good childhood friends to lovers story!!
I enjoyed this read for the most part!! Jameson was a literal sweetheart. Marigold was frustrating to me sometimes, but she also had a lot of hurt she harbored from being betrayed and her upbringing. Their reconciliation was so good! I’m glad Jameson didn’t give up on her and she came around to loving him! 🫶🏻

I loved Jameson's personality as he was not the typical jock hockey player, he liked tea, reading books, and was rather introverted which made for a refreshing read. As an English major myself, Marigold felt like the typical lit girly you meet in a survey of British literature class. Terribly talented yet overwhelmed and maybe even a bit disjointed, but single handedly the smartest in class. Her backstory felt relevant for the time, and her character progression felt gradual, but nevertheless came to a head at the end. Also was very refreshing to read a clean romance that didn't have a cookie cutter perfect female lead (or a deceased parent) ifykyk!!
I enjoyed the community around Marigold, as they never blindly agreed with her, or let her spiral on her own--they were supportive in every way that mattered. Also s/o to Nash for helping Jameson along the way, as he has his quelms too!
This book takes a much different tone than Annah's normal work, but I appreciated the style change! The main characters Marigold and Jameson, were a journey to read about and like any college romance their main point of contention felt a bit silly; however, I think the author does a great job of reminding readers the hurt and motives behind these silly decisions.

i was hoping this would be a cute romance book, but i fear it was not. marigold was just really over dramatic about an internship that was “taken” from her by james which dragged on the entire story because she couldn’t forgive him. i found it annoying lol

Overall I enjoyed this! This leaned more character-driven: a broody hockey player and a fiery writer bonded over their love of literature and the childhood history they share but divided by a conflict just before entering their freshman year of college at the same university. They share the same major and are on the school paper together. All such a vibe!
I related to alot of Marigold's inner dialogue and thought Jameson was a strong MMC. I could picture the writing really well and thought the way their college campus was navigated in the storytelling was three-dimensional. I loved the dynamic of the literary quotes between Marigold and Jameson. I also liked that Jameson was a hockey player for their university but that it didn't feel overwhelmingly hockey. Their tension/fights might have been some of my favorite parts. There are some great one-liners in this and the side characters were utilized pretty well.
I thought the first 70% was much stronger than the last 30%. There was more atmosphere and more going on that I think was lost a little as the author was wrapping up the story. I think this needed some other angle to the conflict or the plot because the conclusion got super sappy and repetitive to me really quickly.
I really thought this was going to be my favorite in the series and while I enjoyed the majority of it, this fell flat at the very end. Solid college rom-com overall and I'm definitely excited to read Aurora's book next!

Annah!!!! You wrote a glorious amazing book and i love you for it!!!!
I genuinely had the most amazing time reading this (no one is surprised) and obviously i knew i would love it but loved more than i thought i was gonna!!!!
Marigold is the cutest character i loved her literary genius and she was so funny, like i found myself laughing so many times reading her analogies for things.
Jameson was such a consent reliable person for Marigold and i felt so comforted by him he was so well written you could feel his yearning through the pages and i adored it, the whole time i was just like man, this dude is obsessed with his girl, and that’s what i wanna see in a book.
Their relationship throughout the whole book was so funny to read, she was so mad and he was like “just let me love you again”, and they worked out they’re issues so so well and (minor spoilers) i really really really loved how Annah wrote once they got together, he said he was in love with her and she was like “i don’t love you like that yet but i do love you, can i still say it?” and i just really feel like most books they go from 0 to 100 so quickly with love confessions and it was so refreshing to see written how i think most relationships would actually develop.
Im incapable of not absolutely tearing through an Annah Conwell book, the perfect books for a slump or just to binge read!!!
So overall!!!! An amazing book please read this !!!

The audiobook was such an enjoyable listen. I absolutely loved the dual narration it always makes the story feel more immersive, and both narrators brought the characters and their chemistry to life beautifully.
Annah’s writing is one of my favorite things about her books. Her stories are easy to get lost in, the banter is entertaining, and the romance has just the right amount of heart. Book two definitely kept me invested, and I’m already looking forward to continuing the series.
If you’re looking for a light, feel-good college rom-com with great chemistry and fantastic narration, I definitely recommend giving this one a listen!

a decent "clean" (can we phase that word out) romance. some cool banter. my biggest complaint is the audio quality. the womans haf was horrible and needs to be redone. Every S sound has a tinny sound to it that hurt my ears. it took me out of the story. read the ebook.

This was a cute book! Very easy read and had all the great qualities of a good romance book (forced proximity, frenemies to lovers, sports, bantering). I really enjoyed getting to know Goldie and Jameson and am a new fan of the author! Really looking forward to the rest of the series!

Yeah. So. This book was way to relatable to my life right now, and Jamison and Marigold’s romance reminded me of Seth and Marlee — automatic five stars. Annah out did herself with this story and I cried, so there is that.
