It was comfortable here, in the place that Umemiya-san built. That's why I know that everything Umemiya-san believed in was right. All I had to do was to follow him. [Sugishita]
With Sakura (look at him!! It's unreal how cute he is!!) on the cover, I expected the chapters to be focused on him. While he had an unquestionable impact on the following story, to my surprise, this time the focus was put on the character of Sugishita. We not only got the opportunity to find out what his thoughts and feelings were post-war, we also got an opportunity to see his backstory involving Umemiya.
It's so annoying. So, so annoying. Stop messing with me. Even getting angry was annoying. Why won't they just leave me alone? Why do I have to do this? Is it always going to be like this?
I really liked the characterization of Sugishita in this volume. What I saw in him was a representation of teenagers who are constantly struggling with their emotions, feeling so overwhelmed that they don't know what to do with themselves and, because of that, often react violently which makes them dive head first into all sorts of trouble. Sugishita's devil was the feeling of annoyance that he couldn't shake off no matter how hard he tried. The place he felt comfortable in was the house that belonged to his guardians, his grandparents - and it was his only safe place until Umemiya had shown up in his life. The moment Umemiya was introduced, the feeling of annoyance suddenly vanished. And everything felt right again.
Despite the fact that I pretty often struggled to understand Sugishita's character, I always thought that his strong emotional attachment to Umemiya was incredibly cute. Both Umemiya and Sakura have this incredible talent to impact people, so much so that positive changes happen all around them, regardless if they are aware of it or not. It's honestly astonishing and I love it a lot.
I also have to say that I like the way the author is creating the story. His main character isn't just a main character in name only - the author makes sure that Sakura has an impact on everything and everyone. A small or big impact, but an impact nonetheless. I can't express how much I love it. This is how main characters should be written - they aren't just the characters that we're following the most, they are also the characters that should be the foundation and the balance of the story. Its heart and soul ☺️
P.S. A flustered Sakura being teased by everyone is the cutest thing 🥰
Anyways, I really liked the sweet closure of the Hiragi/Sako/Kaji storyline and the post-war party. It was so nice to see everybody being at ease and enjoying each other's company. What makes me nervous though is the fact that it looks like the outside teams are getting more bold than usual, thinking that Bofurin got weakened because of the war (it's not true, but it doesn't stop the opponent from trying his luck). So far only small fries are showing up, but what if someone even stronger than Takiishi or Endo makes an appearance? Are we in a state for another war? I don't think so. At the same time, if we will not get another enemy, there will be no new arc and that would mean the end of the story which is something I cannot accept.
Also, through Nirei and Sugishita's interaction (which was cute and wholesome, and I liked it a lot btw) the topic of the third years graduation was touched upon. It's something that I haven't thought about before and now I can't stop thinking about. I cannot imagine the story without Umemiya, Hiragi, Tsubakino and the others, they are too essential to the story, but, at the same time, they are their own people, having their plans, hobbies and dreams that we have no right to stop from selfish reasons. I don't want to see them go, though 😭 I already seen the third years leave (does anyone know Ace of Diamond and Yowamushi no Pedal???) and I know how it feels. I don't want to get through this again 😞
Anyways, there is only a little bit of Wind Breaker for me to read before I will have to wait for the release of new chapters (or so I hope, because we still haven't seen backstories of any of the main players). I'm diving into the next volume immediately! ☺️

They’re having a celebratory time after winning the fight and everyone is catching up and showering love to Sakura (which he deserves and more!!). It’s lovely to see Sako and Hiragi patching things up too (thank you Inugami, you played a huge part and I better see more of your adorableness soon!!) and now even Sugi was opening up about his feelings about Sakura. The fact that Nirei got pulled by Sugi to talk about it was hilarious because boi was terrified but his curiosity to know more about Sugi’s story overcame the fear and he got so giddy my sweet boy 💛
Sakura’s impact was so violent and vibrant that he opened up so many possibilities, even for things that seemed unachievable before. His fight with Endo will always be considered legendary, but I’m looking forward to him opening up about himself more. Hiragi mentioned that everything was possible because Sakura is someone pure, and I wholeheartedly agree with that. He has the purest soul 🥺🤍🖤

Alors j’avais pas prévu de m’enchaîner 7 tomes comme ça mais apparemment je l’ai fait mdr.
Après une pause de bien un an je crois (voire plus) je suis de retour en 2023 quand je me suis enchaîné les 11 premiers tomes et j’adore toujours autant.
Mon amour pour Sakura est sans limite merci à lui et à tous ceux qui sont avec lui.
Son combat contre Endo était vraiment très cool et j’ai grave hâte de le revoir avec Takiishi (qui est un mystère complet lui par contre mdr)
Bref il me reste encore un tome et qq chapitres et je vais encore me retrouver triste d’être à jour 🥲

De los mejores protagonistas que he leido en mucho tiempo, el ritmo de su evolución esta perfecto, con 184 capitulos ya emitidos se entiende que se practicamente veamos a una persona completamente diferentes que refleja las lecciones que ha adquierido en el camino.
(Tambien adoro el electo de personajes sin importar si son bueno o malos)

Nahh Sugishta kidnapping nirei was so hilarious but it's true but no one better than you if it's about Sakura
Nirei is such a fanboy of Sakura i love how he describes him and talk about him with Sugishta literally Moi babies!
And especially love how nii Sensei portrayed jealousy isn’t made to be a terrible, blacklisted emotion..... it’s only natural with someone as tough and bright as Sakura, after all...... and it’s treated normally.
plus that never really crossed my mind either... that they'll all graduate eventually... And maybe move away one day.... (I'm definitely not ready for that)

this cover is adorable.
I literally had to stop and put my head down on the table. Because of a lot of things. Mostly, Sakura realizing that he and Mitsuki have something in common that breaks my heart. We STILL haven't gotten a Suo backstory, and I might have a doom spiral because of it. Kidding, kidding! (mostly) but now we're getting a Mitsuki back story, so there's that.
I really do enjoy the character development in this series, and I love all of them so much.
Suo is not doing anything to alter my opinion that he's somehow secretly a vampire. (long story) but also his little spiel about tea and how hot water brings out the aroma was reminding me of Minghao and I'm sure it's something that he's told his brothers at some point. (if not, it's definitely something he WOULD do)
Time to try to ignore this series for a few weeks until there's another volume worth of chapters out.

En este volumen comienza toda la fiesta post-pelea. Estoy escribiendo la review al tener claros cuáles son los capítulos que se incluyen en el volumen, así que algunas cosas quizá se me escapan un poco.
Pero para resumir un poco, se muestra sobre todo el intento de los compañeros de Sakura por hacerle sentir apoyado y querido. Adoro que wind breaker de sienta como una comunidad, donde todos se apoyan entre ellos y no hay dramas tontos entre personajes.
Me gustó mucho también ver un poquito más de lo que le pasa a Sugishita con Sakura, y me alegro que ambos lo hayan podido solucionar por fin😭. Aunque he de decir que el pique entre ellos dos me hacía mucha gracia y ha sido una de las mejores cosas humorísticas de este manga.
Adoro como Umemiya ha ido siendo siempre una persona que se metía a defender a gente que tenía que pelear sola 🥺 ay.
Y ya para acabar, me hizo muchísima risa ver las escenas entre Nirei y Sugishita, donde Nirei está en su modo stalker a la vez que le empieza a psicoanalizar JAJJSSJ los adoro.

Muchos están viendo el potencial oculto de Sakura, pero habrá que ver que se vea bien encaminado
