It took me a little while to get into this book, and I think some of it was a little more complicated than necessary—bogged down in technicalities of industry details that the author knows from her own experience, but that most readers would have been happy to have simplified for the sake of the story.
Note: I won this book in a giveaway through Goodreads.
This book is what I’d classify as a beach read. It was light, fun and interesting but well written. A welcome break after reading two different memoirs by poets.
This was a cute, quick read of a love story. The storyline was pretty predictable, but still enjoyable. Of the two books I’ve read by this author, I prefer “Evie Drake Starts Over”.
This was a enjoyable book about podcasts. The main gets wrangled into a new podcast where she goes on dates with several men, and at the end she's supposed to choose one of them. Things don't turn out the way the people in charge planed them to. This is a light read and my favorite character was Buddy the great dane! :) Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for the arc.
