Kpop Demon Hunters continues to take the world by storm, and this time its in a cute little Golden Book!

This is less of a story book and more of an introduction to the characters. The artwork is pulled directly from the movie, especially the credits, and here and there the font gets fancy. Nothing special to write home about, but it is cute!

I actually read this like 3-5 times to my niece in total in one day and I don't want to talk about it.

Illustrations are cute though (they're all the ones from the ending credits), and my niece loves it :).

This is a cute little book. It’s very simple, mostly just consisting of brief introductions of all the important characters with sporadic small nods to the plot of the movie throughout. That appears to be exactly what it’s trying to be though, so it is fully succeeding in its goals and is doing so with the cute chibi art style present beside the credits in the movie.
Overall, I recommend this book for anyone who has or knows (or is) a child (probably on the younger side) who enjoys the K-Pop Demon Hunters movie and may want to use it to help said child better learn to read. The book would also probably appeal to collectors who enjoy the movie and the merch related to it, though that would be more for its connection to the movie rather than for the sake of reading it.

Fun Little Golden Book for kids on the K-Pop Demon Hunters bandwagon! The book has nice, kid friendly illustrations and goes over the characters and basic plot. My 6 year old has seen the movie way too many times to count, but now she can visually see some of the trickier words from the movie in writing and practice reading them. The book also introduced her to words she doesn't use everyday like vocalist & lyricist. My 4 year old who has also seen the movie and really enjoys the songs, was engaged in the book and asked questions about the characters while we were reading. Overall it's nice to have an official K-Pop Demon Hunters book, the kids enjoy looking at it, but so far have only asked me to read it just the one time for them.

You know you're famous when Little Golden Books makes a book of you. In terms of the plot, it's just an introduction to the characters, so I personally would not give it anything over 3 stars. However the artwork is adorable (which gives the book a higher rating). I love THE photo of Healer Han. ALSO, the little bird is named Sussie 🥹 Overall, despite how much people dislike the popularity of this movie, I know I would have loved having this when I was younger.

This is essentially a guide to each character that appears in the movie, with a vague explanation of the storyline in the background.

Did we know that the other Saja Boys actual names are Baby (the one that looks like a baby), Romance (the one that makes heart eyes a lot), Mystery (the one with the hair in his face), and Abby (the one with the abs)? I must have missed that.

Let’s be REAL.. how aren’t you already in LOVE with Rumi, Mira and Zoey… and don’t even get me started on the Saja Boys. Jinuuuuu is everything. Am I teaching my daughter about him and my obsession to anime and cartoons and our Asian culture?!? YES. We are five whole months and we watch this movie and sing a long! Love this story so much!

My little is obsessed with Kpop Demon Hunters and obtained this book on a recent trip to B&N. In one day we have read it about 10 times. Not gonna lie, I’m KPop demon hunters done but I can’t say no to buying books for my kids and spending time reading to them. So here’s to may more readings of this Little Golden Book!

**K-Pop Demon Hunters: My Little Golden Book**
⭐️⭐️

I picked this up for my Book Journals Alphabet Challenge, but let's be honest, I'm also a fan of *K-Pop Demon Hunters*. And Rachel, thank you for bringing this movie into my life.

First things first: the artwork is adorable. The bright colors and chibi-style illustrations are absolutely charming. It gave me a little nostalgia for the *Little Golden Books* I grew up with, although mine were a lot more *Little Bo Peep* than demon-hunting K-pop superstars. This is definitely an upgrade.

This is one of those rare situations where the book adaptation came after the movie, not the other way around. As a companion to the Netflix film, it works well, especially for little ones who have already watched the movie and want to revisit the characters in print. Honestly, it's a clever way to reverse-engineer kids into reading.

One of my favorite additions was the character bios. I loved getting quick introductions to the members of Huntrix, seeing Mira in her sleeping bag, and finally learning the names of all the Saja Boys. I had apparently watched the movie about a million times without fully registering them.

For anyone else who missed it, we've got Baby, Romance, Mystery, and Abby (because, well... abs). Of course everyone remembers Jinu, the leader. I also somehow never realized the bird's name was Sussie. Sussy remains hilarious, and Derpy is still my favorite.

The book delivers what may be the shortest recap of a surprisingly complex movie that I've ever read. The artwork earns a full five stars from me. The story itself, however, is where things fall apart.

I understand this book is aimed at ages 2–5, and I understand the challenge of adapting a story like *K-Pop Demon Hunters* for that audience. Angela Song keeps everything cute, positive, and easy to follow. But even with those constraints, it feels like something important is missing.

The original movie has themes about identity, friendship, courage, and finding your voice. Those ideas are still accessible to young children. Instead, this adaptation focuses almost entirely on the flashy visuals and surface-level excitement. Even the *Disney Little Golden Books* I read as a kid managed to capture the heart and moral of the stories they adapted.

Here, it feels like we're trying so hard to squeeze teen culture into a toddler format that we lose the essence of what made the story meaningful in the first place. You can absolutely simplify a story for young readers without stripping away its soul.

Cute? Absolutely.

Colorful? Definitely.

A great character guide for young fans? Sure.

But as a story adaptation, I wanted more.

Ultimately, I gave it **2 stars**.

In honor of K-Pop Demon Hunters turning 1 this month, I went ahead and read this cutie book. It’s a cute way to introduce the characters (if you don’t know them yet) and reminded me that the Saja Boys have names. 💀

The artwork is cute, the quick overall storyline is cute. I don’t regret reading it.
