My favorite stories are the ones that make you laugh, cry, and feel. In all of my books, you’ll find amazing curvy women, heartwarming moments, and plenty of laughter.
I currently live in Colorado where I watch way too many rom coms, chase my three boys up the mountains (huffing and puffing), and write books for lovely readers like you.
📚 What it’s about: Gray promised his wife forever, and for twenty years after she died he stuck to that promise, despite not being able to stay away from the curvy waitress at the diner. For two decades he kept telling himself it was best they were just friends and he couldn't love her the way she deserved. But after watching 4 of his 5 boys get their happily ever afters he decided it was time for his. Aggie, the single mum of 2, had loved Gray for the last twenty years, silently from the sidelines wishing she was enough for him more than just a friend - can they find their happily ever after or are they better as friends?
💭 My thoughts: What a final to the series. I have loved the build up to Gray's story over the past few books. Little snippets here and there of his and Aggie's love story. This book was heart breaking and heart warming at the same time. I honestly felt so emotionally invested, it was so well written. You could feel the grief radiating off the page, grief of his wife, grief of fearing he would lose another love. Aggie's grief of never feeling enough and potentially never having a love like she saw everyone else get. Aggie was so selfless in how she lived her life; vowing to put her own needs and wants on pause while she raised her babies, and proving that in the 6 months she spent helping Enzo, again putting her life on hold - what a mum!! I loved watching her friendship with Etta grow. Gray was such a loveable character, even if he did make mistakes, you could tell they were genuine out of grief and confusion, rather than because he was an a-hole. I loved the fact this book was written over the course of years, showing snippets of the other boys books in real time - made me want to reread them all! I'm not usually a fan of other women drama, and to an extent this had that vibe albeit from a deceased wife, but Kelsie absolutely wrote it perfectly. It was real, it was honest, it was enlightening. As her dedication to this book said, it's never too late to find your Happily Ever After. I'm so sad the Hello series is now over, but I am really excited for her new series, where we see baby Madigan, Bryce, get his story told.

I was lucky to receive an ARC for this book and as someone who has read and loved the previous books, I was so excited to get ARC for the final book in the series.
I loved this book. I loved the tropes - age gap, second chance, slow burn, friends to lovers and small town.
I love Kelsie's writing and how she told such a complex story - Gray is a widow who has struggled to move on from the loss of his wife. Aggie is a single mother, who gave up on love and focused her energy on raising her children.
I enjoyed the grief process being portrayed, revisiting the love stories of the Madigan brothers and the notions of second chance love.
It was so devastating at times but the end was so rewarding and well earned.
I am sad to be at the end of the Hello Series but I am so excited to see Bryce's story in the next series.
Oh god I don’t know. I wanted to love it but I just didn’t. I was so annoyed with Gray and his inability to function even years later and after years in therapy m. It was like the same thing happened every 2 years and he learned nothing. And Aggy kept jumping right back into the roller coaster. Definition of insanity. Apparently 20 years of slow burn is too long for me.
This was the perfect ending to the Hello series by @Kelsie Hoss Books I discovered her books last year and was hooked instantly. Hello Handsome is the 10th and final book in her series. Following Grey and Aggie in ther 20 year friendship, this book is perfectly sewn into all of the other books featuring the Madigan men. This was such an emotional book, watching both characters navigate grief, being empty nesters, and how to move forward. It’s definitely my favorite book in the series. Kelsie, thank you for sending me an advanced copy of your book. I was SOOOO excited to have been chosen to be on your ARC team! ♥️
This was an achingly sweet and warm love story, quite a slow burn, and just a really fulfilling happily ever after. Both Gray and Aggie have been through a lot in life. Gray’s a widower whose sons we’ve read about as the MC’s in prior books and who has been friends with Agatha (Aggie) for years and years. Aggie was a young single mom who had been through bad men and vowed never to bring a man into the picture until her kids were grown.
Their friendship is really lovely and you see them through the years being there for each other, no real expectations but just enjoying each other’s company and being easy with each other. They have feelings but so much in the way. Gray, especially, working through the grief that comes all the way back up when he an Aggie decide to date and Aggie who has been no one’s first choice and struggles with feeling like she won’t have all of Gray.
This was a nice, comfortable, real romance between more mature aged adults (age gap, with Aggie in her 30s and Gray quite a bit older). It read as such, without wild sparks but more of a warm, comforting feel between friends who bloom into more.
For me, there were a few parts that just didn’t click for me and seemed kind of out of place (such as what happens with Aggie’s son later in the book and how things go with Gray and Aggie in that time) and the slow burn was maybe a bit too slow for me. When they do finally really connect it just didn’t capture me as much as I’d like. These aren’t faults in the writing per se but just things that didn’t work for me personally.
However, I really like Kelsie’s writing and I appreciated this different take on romance and I really enjoyed the premise. It was just such a heartache of a romance, with a beautiful growth of love after loss.
Overall I can recommend this book, especially if you love a warm, friends-to-lovers, love after loss, healing, slow burn romance.
I received an advance copy of the book and have left my honest, influence-free review
This is book 10 in the “Hello Series”, and I read them all. This book follows Grayson Madigan, widowed father to 5 boys. 4 of which have books in the series.
You get to know this man throughout the series, and his love for his boys.
He lost his wife, the love of his life, 17 years prior to the start of this book.
What a great conclusion to the Hello Series. So happy Grayson and Aggie got their story. To witness their love evolve over the span of 20 years starting as friendship and building into more was beautiful. I appreciated the support and grace they gave to one another through all the trials and tribulations they faced over the years. Them being a constant and holding space for one another was so refreshing to see. I enjoyed seeing bits and pieces of Gray's sons stories woven into Hello Handsome and seeing how Gray guided them through their own journeys.
So happy for the happily every after for everyone!
(thank you to Kelsie and team for the ARC to read & review :))

I absolutely love Kelsie Hoss’s writing style — it flows so seamlessly and always pulls me in right from the start. I really wanted to love Hello Handsome, but unfortunately, that wasn’t the case for me this time.
The main characters, Agatha and Gray, are genuinely lovely people, but I found them a bit boring. I completely understand and appreciate that their relationship was built on a 20-year friendship, but I just didn’t feel any real spark or sexual chemistry between them.
That being said, I know this story will resonate with many readers — it just didn’t quite work for me personally.
Thank you to the author for the ARC in exchange for my honest review.
Oh this book... I cried. It was good. It has a few spicy scenes. Gray and Aggie got their happy ending together even though it took them longer than most of the other characters and they really go through some pain. I loved the details with Gray's boys. I have never suffered a loss of a spouse, thankfully, but parts of this just put you in Gray's soul as he tried to find more room to love again. I loved that Gray and his boys are close and can talk with each other. The granddad moments were cute too!
Even though this is the last of the Hello series, at the end we have a tease for a spinoff. I am now super curious about that seemingly out of nowhere twist for one of the Madigan men. Can't wait to read it next!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Book Review: Hello Handsome by Kelsie Hoss
“Some loves take a lifetime to find their way home.”
Kelsie Hoss’s Hello Handsome is an absolutely beautiful, slow-burn love story about two people whose lives intertwine through loss, friendship, and the quiet kind of love that grows deeper with time. Grey, a widower still grieving the loss of his wife, and Agatha, a single mom of two little ones, begin as friends just trying to make it through the chaos of life. What starts as mutual support slowly turns into something far more profound, an unspoken bond built on trust, shared pain, and years of missed timing.
This story isn’t just about romance. It’s about healing, second chances, and learning that love doesn’t always arrive when it’s convenient, but when your heart is finally ready to receive it. Kelsie Hoss captures that emotional tension so perfectly, making you ache for both characters as they circle each other through the years, always close but never quite together.
My favorite moment, hands down, comes during Hayes’s wedding when Grey and Agatha finally have the conversation we’ve all been waiting for. When Agatha notices he’s planted her favorite flowers in his late wife’s garden, and he quietly says, “It’s time I honor another woman I love,” I swear my heart stopped. The entire exchange is filled with raw honesty, love, and redemption. Grey admitting, “You’re theirs first. I’m hoping you’ll be mine second,” is one of the most tender declarations I’ve ever read. And when Agatha replies, “I’ve loved you all this time,” it feels like twenty years of longing finally finding peace.
Hell, Handsome is emotional, deeply romantic, and beautifully written. It’s the kind of story that reminds you that love can survive loss, grow in friendship, and bloom again even after decades. I finished this book with tears in my eyes and a full heart.

This is a sweet, small town romance filled with so much heart. Aggie is a single mom who promised to devote herself to raising her children after her ex left her. Seventeen years later, they are out of the nest, and she is ready to take time for herself. Gray is a widower with five boys he has raised to adulthood. He has never moved on from his wife, but Aggie and he have always been in each other’s orbit as friends. Now that their children are all grown up, they have decided to give love a try again. Will the past get in the way of their happiness, or is love possible for a second time?
I really enjoyed the chemistry between Aggie and Gray. They were so supportive of each other, showing up when needed. You could feel Gray’s grief radiating through the story, and I felt that Kelsie did a great job of making me experience and feel what Gray went through. Aggie, I loved her. I felt she was like many moms do when their children leave home. She had to learn to focus on herself and open up to love and new experiences.
Hello Handsome drew me in, and I lost myself in the story. If you love a book about two people who love each other but need to believe in a chance to be loved in return, this is perfect for you! Thank you to the author for a copy of this book. All opinions are 100% mine.
The shy curvy waitress and the silver fox cowboy who goes to the diner just to see her….for the last time, welcome back to Cottonwood Falls!!!!
I loved this book so much - this was a love story 20 years in the making. I have been waiting for Gray and Aggie’s story and I was so excited for their HEA. This book is heart warming and emotional and I could not put it down.
Both of these characters had put their families first for so long and it was magic watching them take this beautiful friendship into something more. Their journey felt so real and authentic as they deal with grief and past trauma. It wasn’t easy…and I think that’s what makes them so special.
Three words: The garden scene 😭🥰😭🥰
This was the perfect end to the series and I highly recommend giving it a read!
✨Hello Handsome: 🌾Small Town Romance 💥Silver Fox Cowboy 💋Plus Size FMC ❤️🔥Age Gap (20 years) 🫶Single Mom x Single Dad 💘Friends to Lovers 🔥Mutual Pining 💔Love After Loss ❤️🩹Healing 💞ALL THE FEELS!
Oh my… was I in my feelings while reading this book! Gray is a wonderful example of a yearning man, both for his late wife and Aggie. He’s complex and devastating in his grief and it made me love him so much more, as well as just get so emotional. I really enjoyed the timespan this book covers, getting glimpses of the boys relationships that we’ve read about developing all while Gray and Aggie live in their friendship. I really enjoyed the friends to lovers aspect of this, and that while they failed a couple times, they remained friends. I also loved how Gray is with his boys - how they all have a slightly different relationship with him. And Aggie with her two kids was so fun to read as well!! Kelsie did a brilliant job with this one and I cannot thank her enough for giving me the opportunity to be on her ARC team for it. I highly recommend this, get your copy today!!!
This book is absolutely incredible! I was hooked from the first page to the last. It resonated with me on a deep level, bringing back memories of when my husband was dying – the emotions, the pain, it's all so raw. But Kelsie masterfully wove in moments of laughter, smiles, and joy, making it a true emotional rollercoaster. It's been ages since I've connected with a book like this, feeling every single emotion alongside the characters. The tension of the MMC and the FMC was hot! one of my top favorite book! I cannot wait to read the others to see if she can make me feel all the feels again. I definitely recommend this and will be bringing it to my annotation circles and my buddy reads. well done Kelsie
This slow-burn romance was so worth the twenty-year wait. It had me feeling everything — I laughed, cried, and definitely teared up more than once (both happy and sad tears).
I loved that Gray and Aggie took the time to work on themselves before finally finding their way to each other. There were so many times I wanted them to just get together already, but it always made sense why the timing wasn’t right.
I also really loved the little throwbacks to past books from Gray’s point of view — it was such a nice way to see where each part of their story fit into the bigger picture.
Honestly, it was the perfect way to wrap up the series — emotional, satisfying, and totally worth the wait. ❤️
Hello Handsome is book 10 in the Hello Series by Kelsie Hoss. Performed by Allyson Voller & Luke Welland.
This story takes place over 20 years. Best friends to lovers…eventually. Grayson promised his wife forever and for 20 years after her death he lived up to that promise. Grayson and Aggie’s love story is beautiful. Both have children of their own so they are navigating be single parents and friends to each other.
I haven’t read/listened to all the books in this series, but I should. There are 10 now and I think I’ve only read 4 of them! I’ll be hitting that Kelsie train soon!
This was an amazing slow burn story. Grey and Aggie are perfect for each other. But this story shows their connection and how they got to be together. They both have pasts filled with trauma and heartbreak. Their connection is built on friendship and trust. You see how their relationship was built and evolved over a twenty year span. This story brings you on a roller coaster of emotions. It’s a bumpy path but it’s so worth it. This story has romance, second chances, healing, and forgiveness. It’s also about reclaiming yourself and moving forward. It’s a beautiful story and an amazing read.
I absolutely loved Agatha and Grayson's story. There was so much chemistry between the two of them for the past 20 years and had settled for friendship and eventually both had realized they wanted more. Grayson was still grieving from his wife Maya's death and Agatha still had two children at home ready to graduate. They both had to find ways to realize that even with ever they still wanted to be together.
Great ending to the series! I know this must have been a difficult story to write but 100% accurate. My rating is based on how it made me feel I was hoping the couple would get together sooner, but I totally understand the back and forth and why personal growth needed to happen before any love could be perused. Even though they both wanted it.

I received this as an ARC and wow. I have read all of the hello series, and this book gave me all the feels. Feeling Gray's grief, Aggie's abandonment then their right person wrong timing was heart breaking. I felt like I healed with them to finally get to that happily ever after. I loved seeing scenes from Gray's perspective of scenes we had in previous books. Well written!! Kudos to Kelsie!
Thank You Kelsie for letting me be a ARC reader! Kelsie never disappoints
This book is absolutely wonderful it hits all of the emotions of grief and love. Shows that no matter what you go through you still deserve love. Grief can still hit years after! Gray and Aggie are probably my top favorite out of all 10 couples!
Perfect ending to this series. You see snapshots of all the Madigan boys and follow Gray on his (extremely long) journey to find love again after loss. It took me a second to get into the story as I’m not always the biggest fan of really long “will they, won’t they” but that was short lived and I was HOOKED. This book made me laugh and cry and kick my legs in happiness all within the same chapter multiple times. I cannot wait till the next series comes out. If anyone needs me, I’ll be rereading the entire Hello series again.
I absolutely loved this story! Hello Handsome is a warm, emotionally rich, beautifully written romance that captures the tender yet complex dynamics between two deeply genuine characters, Gray and Aggie. Set against a small-town backdrop, the story follows Aggie, a strong yet vulnerable woman rebuilding her life, and Gray, a steadfast, quietly charming man who becomes both her confidant and unexpected love interest. Their connection grows through shared moments of humor, vulnerability, and undeniable chemistry, offering readers a heartfelt reminder that love often finds us when we least expect it. Gray and Aggie’s connection feels so real — tender, funny, and deeply moving. Two characters that you can’t help but root for. Kelsie captures the ache of healing and the joy of finding love again with so much warmth and authenticity. This book made me smile, tear up, and fall completely in love with these characters. What sets Hello Handsome apart is Hoss’s gift for crafting authentic, emotionally resonant characters. Aggie feels refreshingly real — flawed, hopeful, and resilient — while Gray’s steady warmth makes him an irresistible romantic lead. Their interactions never feel forced; instead, they unfold with a natural rhythm that reflects real human emotion. The dialogue sparkles with wit and tenderness, grounding the romance in everyday gestures rather than grand declarations. Critically, Hoss balances sweetness with depth. Beneath the charm and banter lies a story about healing, trust, and self-acceptance. While it follows familiar romance beats, the emotional honesty of the writing elevates it beyond formula. The pacing is steady, the tone heartfelt, and the resolution both satisfying and true to the characters’ growth. In all, Hello Handsome is a touching, feel-good romance that celebrates love in its most genuine form — messy, patient, and beautifully human. A perfect small-town romance that lingers long after the last page. By far my favorite read of 2025!✨
I really enjoyed this beautiful story, which portrays the process of grief and healing in such a heartfelt way. Aggie is an absolute gem, so understanding, patient, and supportive toward Gray. I couldn’t blame Gray for struggling so much with Maya’s death, but it was difficult to witness the pain he caused Aggie when he accidentally said the wrong name.
I had always been curious about Gray and Aggie’s story, and I found it to be truly wonderful. It’s a moving, well-written journey of love, loss, and learning to open your heart again. _______________________________________________ Summary;
(Spoilers)
Grayson Madigan fell in love with his wife, Maya, at a young age. He had admired her from afar for years before finally summoning the courage to ask her out—something he still regrets not doing sooner. Luckily, he eventually won her heart, and together they became parents to six sons. Maya was the love of his life, but she was torn from his world when she passed away from cancer. Gray was 40 when Maya died, leaving him to raise the boys on his own. Broken with grief, he was urged by a friend to leave the house for a while, who saw how badly Gray was struggling and wanted him to get out and have a meal. Gray went to the local café and took a seat at the bar. Behind it was a young woman, around 20 years old, who introduced herself as Agatha, or Aggie for short. For the first time in a long while, someone gave him a genuine smile, and for the first time since Maya’s passing, Gray felt something other than sorrow.
Aggie had become a single mother at 19, raising two children after her boyfriend left to buy diapers and never returned. She moved back into her childhood home and spent years working hard as a waitress to support her kids. Having grown up with a stepfather who wasn’t always kind to her, she vowed never to date while her children were still living at home. In one of her first weeks at her new job, a handsome man walked in, looking broken. She spoke with him, and there was an immediate connection. Later, she learned from others what had happened to his wife.
Aggie and Gray began speaking often at the café, gradually building a strong friendship. They helped each other with the children and household tasks, becoming each other’s support system. Both recognized their attraction, but neither dared to act on it. The children always came first, and Aggie wanted to honor her promise to herself, while Gray was still shattered by Maya’s death.
Over twenty years after their first meeting, they had become best friends. Aggie’s and Gray’s children were grown, giving them more time for themselves. Gray’s sons frequently encouraged him to finally make a move with Aggie. He knew he found her beautiful but was still haunted by thoughts of Maya and worried about how his sons would feel if he started dating again. His sons reassured him that they would always love their mother, knew he did too, but agreed it was time to move forward, something Maya herself would have wanted. Gray realized just how deeply he had fallen for Aggie.
Aggie, of course, was not blind to Gray’s appeal. From the very first day, she had thought he was handsome, and he still affected her to this day. Then suddenly he began flirting and asked her out. Aggie was over the moon and wanted to prepare for their date, realizing how little makeup and fashionable clothing she had. After years of putting her children first, she decided to treat this as a fresh start for herself. She bought new outfits and invited Etta, a kind woman of her age, for a girls’ night. This became a regular ritual, and Aggie began feeling more like herself again.
On the day of her date with Gray, they had a wonderful time, but she noticed he seemed distracted. She said nothing, yet on their second date, it happened again. Then he suddenly mentioned Maya’s name, making it clear he had not fully moved on from his late wife. They decided to take things slowly and ride horses together as friends, a weekly ritual they both enjoyed. Gray also decided to go to therapy to work through memories of Maya. His therapist explained that it was normal to compare new romantic interests to Maya, which helped him understand his own emotions.
When Gray finally mustered the courage to ask Aggie out, he hadn’t expected how often thoughts of Maya would intrude. Memories would appear at the oddest moments, leaving him distracted. Aggie noticed and was very understanding, which was one of the things he cherished most about her. For months they rode horses together, and eventually, Gray decided he was ready to start dating again. He thought he had placed Maya in the past, but during a date when he and Aggie nearly had sex, he said Maya’s name, triggered by a memory. He was mortified and saw the pain it caused Aggie. She told him it was better to focus on himself before they could try dating seriously again.
They spoke very little afterward; Gray avoided the restaurant but continued therapy, which revealed he was experiencing PTSD from Maya’s death. Though difficult to hear, he accepted it immediately, realizing that all his hesitation with Aggie stemmed from unresolved grief. Gray spent months processing his loss and discussing it with his sons. Over time, he reconnected with Aggie, and their trusted friendship returned.
Meanwhile, Aggie had rediscovered herself. She spent more time with friends, who encouraged her to move on and date again. She agreed she had waited long enough for Gray and went on several dates. When Gray learned about Aggie’s dates, he felt jealous but knew he could not stand in her way.
Aggie dated a man for a while, preparing to go out to dinner with him while her daughter happened to be at home. She invited him in to meet her daughter, but he seemed uninterested. Aggie realized he wasn’t what she wanted; her children were paramount, and she wanted a partner genuinely interested in all aspects of her life. Then Gray appeared, asking about her children, reminding her that he was the one she truly wanted.
They decided to give their relationship another chance, but soon after Aggie received a call that her son Enzo had been seriously injured in Hawaii, where he was working. She went there with Gray, who stayed for the first month to support them. During that time, Aggie needed distraction, and they shared intimacy for the first time. Gray understood her need to feel something different than despair. For a month, they had a private affair until Gray returned to his farm. They went five months without seeing each other but kept in contact. Aggie was grateful for his support, though she wished he would clarify the nature of their relationship.
At Hayes and Della’s wedding, Gray and Aggie met again. In the time Aggie had been away, Gray had worked on himself and finally come to terms with Maya’s death. He shared this with Aggie, who was overjoyed. She understood how important Maya had been and knew she would never replace her, yet Gray showed he was ready for something new. He carried the love of his life, Maya, in his heart, and the love for the rest of his life, Aggie.
This a 4.5 from me. I was absolutely lucky to be an ARC reader for this and was blessed to have received it! I absolutely adored this and adore ALL of Kelsies work. This one was tough though. It was a long and achingly rough journey for both MCs in this book which made everything that much better for their happy ending. Grief is an unpredictable thing and many go without help so to see Gray accept and willingly work on himself while taking accountability of his mistakes or withholding himself, was truly a remarkable thing. The FMC? Shes truly an inspirational, aspirational woman. Her selflessness knows no bounds, and it made me proud to see not only her journey of love, but her journey to loving and finding herself aswell. Thank you so much Kelsie. For writing the Madigan that gave us all our fave Madigans, story🤍
Grey has been the patriarch of the Madigan family and held them together ever since their matriarch passed away almost 20 years ago. With 5 young boys and a ranch to maintain, Grey was past the point of grieving and, through his pain, was forced to keep moving forward for his family and their livelihood. Meeting Aggie all those years ago while fresh in his grief was never something he imagined would impact the rest of his life, but Aggie was the gift from Maya (his late wife) he didn't realize he needed. From that first meeting, even in the throws of his grief, Grey saw something special in Aggie that shined the tiniest light in the hole that was his heart. At their first meeting, Aggie was a young, newly single mom of 2 that was working as a waitress trying to keep her and her family afloat. After their father abandoned them and never looked back, Aggie is determined to be the strong, independent woman that her babies deserved. Meeting Grey that fateful day was one she would never forget, but she treated him like every other customer that came her way, and it was exactly what Grey needed. Over the years their friendship grew and they became staples and confidants for each other as they navigated the ups and downs of single parenting. They both knew their friendship was something they cherished, but vowed they wouldn't explore dating until all their kids graduated high school. Now after 17 years, they are both empty nesters and the idea of tiptoeing into something more with one another becomes front and center. But even after all this time, Grey has never processed his grief and trauma. The perspective of Grey's struggle and their tumultuous start is woven into the timeline of all the Madigan boys finding their loves. This was so beautifully written and added so much context to the previous scenes of Grey where he always seemed like the rock for his boys on the outside, but was painfully struggling with grief and heartache on the inside. Grey and Aggie spend even more years in a push and pull, leaning into a flickering relationship, but Grey's past snuffing out the light. Aggie realizes that she can't compete with a ghost and while Grey is facing his trauma, Aggie faces hers. She spends years learning to truly love herself and know her worth. She learns that even the man of her dreams isn't worth her time and effort if he isn't read to truly value her for exactly who she is. After spending her entire adult life living for the sake of her children, she finally takes the time to live for herself. Watching their struggle, pain and growth, was bittersweet and healing. This story takes the unfortunately universal pain of grief and makes it the forefront of a love story. On its face, it seems like they are polar opposites, but the reality is that grief is the price we pay for loving. When we love with everything we have, and we lose that, grief fills the space that love left behind. A heart that is strong in love eventually morphs into one strong in grief, but with the same power that grief can consume, love has the power to bloom in that space again. Having the courage to allow love in to take root and blossom in the new landscape of the heart is what Grey needed to do in order to be worthy of Aggie. Aggie needed to learn her own self worth and show herself that as much as she wanted Grey to be her future, a want and a need a two separate things, and what she needs is to be able to envision a beautiful life for herself. Their story is one that is honest, realistic and gives hope that its never too late to learn, grow and love. Life keeps happening to us all, but holding onto the things that are good for us and bring us love and joy is how we survive and eventually thrive. What a stunning story and beautiful ending to the Hello Series. Bravo Kelsie!
Thank you so much Kelsie for giving me the privilege to arc read another book from the Hello series, as I expected I had the best time ever with Gary & Aggie - getting to see Gray get his happy ending after all of the sacrifices and work he put into raises his incredible sons as the best reward ever. Their story had me in my feels the entire time; I laughed, I screamed, I giggled and at times I wanted to cry for them, for the boys and for growth that these two had throughout this entire book, getting to see Gray become the man that Aggie deserved had me feeling all warm and fuzzy, did it take a few tries for them to truly find their feet? Yes, yes it did but for me that made their final happy ever after ending that much sweeter, I especially loved seeing how happy both of their families were when they saw that these two had finally stopped hiding their feelings and had decided to take the plunge - some of the final chapters almost had me in tears, the moments between Gray and his boys were the sweetest things EVER he is genuinely such an incredible dad🥹
I also loved how much confidence Aggie gained throughout the book, now don’t get me wrong Aggie was a badass from page one but getting to see her learn how to shine again as herself rather than as a single mum or the well known waitress was so beautiful - she is such an iconic and incredible woman so getting to see her become fully comfortable in her own skin again was amazing, even seeing her do the little things like buying a new lipstick without self criticism had me wanting to cheer for her 🥰 I loved the way that these two loved each other even when they were just best friends, the way that they saw each other and knew exactly how to be there for the other with no questions needed really shows the type of people they are and I especially loved the way that Gray made little changes to his house and life to make space for Aggie without her knowing in preparation for him to confess his feelings for her, I think it was the perfect way for him to show her that he was serious about taking this step with her and that even though Maya was his first love and the mother of his sons that Aggie is who he wants to spend his present and future with!
Overall, I love the love story of Aggie & Gray - we all know how much I love books with deeper meaning and this one really hits perfectly for me with Gray’s journey of learning how to love after his loss of Maya. These two are the perfect example of how we are people can have more than one love in our lives and that each love we have will always be different in the best ways. I loved every single thing about this read and I am so glad that the final book of this series was Gray’s because for me he is the glue of the Madigan family so getting to see him be happy and experience love again was the perfect way to wrap up the Hello franchise, I even think we can tie it all together with a pretty bow with little blue hearts on it just the way Gray would like 🩵
This was an emotionally charged, soul crushingly, heart achingly beautiful journey. Gray & Aggie will absolutely break you. They will shatter your heart into a million pieces before putting you back together again. And even then, you'll still ache just a little. Raw. Emotional. Real. Their friendship is so sweet, a love so fragile, withstanding years worth of everything meant to break them, separate them and keep them apart. They will fight hard through grief, heartache, painful doubts and insecurities as they find their way to forever.... Just waiting for the stars to align.
Single Dad Grayson Madigan has been a widower longer than he was married. Unexpectedly losing his wife at a young age, he never truly grieved her passing. Going through the motions of raising their five young boys alone, the every day was hard enough. Until one day, he met her... And while life began to breathe within him once more, he wasn't truly living.
Single Mom Agatha has seen her fair share of heartache. Raising her son & daughter on her own from a very young age, she's put herself on the back burner for many years. Determined to give them a better life than she ever had, she's worked hard to give them everything she never had, including unconditional love and support and in doing so, she lost herself. Now that she's alone for the first time in forever, she's fighting to find her way and through it all, Gray has been her one constant ...
As their friendship grows and changes throughout the years, so does their love for one another. He finds comfort and solace in her as she finds safety and stability in him. But is it enough for the long haul? As the past continuously pushes its way into the present, they must each face their individual fears and deal with long buried grief if they ever truly stand a chance. Loving your best friend is easy, but being in love with your best friend is a whole different feeling entirely.
Finding love after a loss so deep is precious and rare, but for these two, it is anything but easy. It's years in the making. It's stumbling and getting back up again. It's giving up, failing and trying again. It's heartache and heartbreak. It's stubbornness and growth. It's healing and forgiveness. It's an all encompassing kind of love. Lasting. Enduring. Forever.
Like moths to a flame, these two will always find themselves drawn together. They were made for one another and while their road to forever isn't perfect, it's worth every misstep along the way. Every heartache. Every mistake. Every start and stop. Until finally, all the stars align...
