They were fated to be together, but fate is breaking. As Hell stirs and shadows whisper, they face one impossible
Save the man they love—or stop the monster he’s become.
What a storyteller! These are long books but there was always something happening so i felt the length was just right. Great character building and great world building. Very clever with the time travel and bringing in the history and characters from the past. The four MMC’s were perfect. They all fit together and i enjoyed the relationships between all of them. Can’t say i have a favorite as i loved them all. The side characters were perfect. Look forward to the next book with the next generation and reading about Hunter, Ace, Asher and Zane again.
From the very first page of the first book, I fell in love with the world-building. And the sequel is no less impressive. It continues to grow and expand with new elements and details, so we learn much more about Zane, Asher, Hunter, and Ace. Family secrets are revealed and the characters face new challenges and life choices. The moments that made me laugh or get angry made the reading fly by. But before I say Good bye to one of my favorite series of urban fantasy this year, I have to say the story is a lot more spicier than the previous one and we finally have all the characters together even though the road was rocky and full of obstacles - Hunter being Hunter gave me more grey hair than I thought was possible, Zane got on my last nerve, there were a lot of times I wanted to dump Asher in the coldest water source possible and Ace - after all the emotional turmoil, I let his behavior slip through the cracks. As a whole, all the characters had an attitude and some edges to be polished, but it would have been boring without some angst and drama in the relationship "paradise". Silver Magic is the end of duology but I can't wait to see more of the same world in the next books where the focus is on the next generation of characters.
🌟My ARC Review!🌟 Although this book is a long read, it is undoubtedly worthwhile. My interest in the story and characters Hunter, Ace, Asher, and Zane was piqued in the initial book, Cold Fire, and I was eager to delve deeper into their stories to uncover what happens next. This book is filled with action, adventure, romance, and magic; the author's writing style is truly exceptional. I really appreciate the amount of time and detail added to each character. I felt such a connection to the story and characters that I went through an array of emotions alongside them, an experience I won't forget. I am currently anticipating the next book, which will shift its focus from the Magical Foursome to the succeeding generation. I can't wait.🫶🏻 My Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Spice level: 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️
There are no words to express how deeply this book changed me. Few stories have ever made me feel so connected to the characters, and reading it felt like spending time with old friends. The tale of Hunter, Ace, Asher, and Zane picks up right where Cold Fire left off and immediately pulled me back into their world.
I wanted an epic love story filled with heartbreak and joy, and I got it. I wanted plot twists, lore, and magic, and I got those too. I wanted yearning and spice, and, again, I got it. Most of all, I wanted a story that made me believe in soulmates, and this book delivered.
This author has completely ruined me (in the best way) because every time I try to start a new book; I end up going back to reread my favourite parts just to spend more time with these characters. This is an easy five-star read for me, and I can’t recommend it enough. I can’t wait to see what comes next in this universe!

A powerful follow-up to *Cold Fire*! *Silver Magic* takes everything I loved about the first book — the found family, the deep emotions, the slow-burn relationships — and raises the stakes. The world feels bigger, the magic more intense, and the characters more complex.
Hunter, Ace, Asher, and Zane continue to break and heal my heart in equal measure. Kai Jennex’s writing is emotional, imaginative, and beautifully layered. If you enjoyed *Cold Fire*, you’ll absolutely love this one.
Can’t wait to see where the *Whisper of Shadows* series goes next! 💙🔥
I loved this book. The first book got me hooked and the second book had me throughly obsessed with them both! It’s been years since I’ve enjoyed books in this genre but I’m so happy I took the chance. I highly recommend! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
This was an intense read and an emotional roller coaster.. I hadn’t read the first one, so I read the first book, Cold Fire and then this one. You need to read the first one to make the second make any sense.
The hurt, pain and love between the characters is intense and bone deep. They will walk to the ends of the earth and walk through time to save each other. Ace, Hunter, Asher and Zane have a special connection to each other that transcends time and space. They love each other, and nothing is going to change that, even when Hunter does everything he can to stop them from coming after him. The love between Ace and Hunter was my favourite; they were just destined to be, and not even Lucifer was going to get in the way. Zane and Asher were the perfect balance for each other. They are a family that gives each other everything.
The storyline had so much going on, but it didn’t bounce around so much that you couldn’t follow. If you are looking to be emotional, this book is for you. I cried and was brokenhearted so much throughout the book. Everyone's past just hit me in the heart. It was well written, and I didn’t want to put it down. I needed to know what happened. I needed to see their happily ever after.
