Gameplay: A Why Choose Mafia Romance

Rate this book
The stakes have never been higher in the ruthless world of organized crime.

Amelia Clarke has always found comfort in the shadows, expertly navigating the complexities of financial crimes and immersing herself in the digital realm. However, her skills are crucial to saving her boss, the formidable Bratva leader Elise Savin, who the cartel has kidnapped. While Amelia prefers to work alone as a hacking wizard, rescuing Elise will force her to join forces with unexpected allies.

Thrust into the unforgiving reality of the Bratva, the youngest Savin brothers were destined to become soldiers without any say in the matter. One twin thrives in the brutality of combat, while the other struggles to carve out his own identity amidst the chaos. Their different paths reveal the harsh reality of their Bratva upbringing—what happens to those who are never given a choice?

Tucked away in a remote cottage, the dull nights in isolation evolve into a thrilling game of cat and mouse in the heart of the forest. As the twins’ pursuit of Amelia intensifies, she must now learn to protect both herself and her heart.

Amelia’s loyalty will be questioned, and in the game of organized crime, winning isn’t simply measured by whoever emerges victoriously. It hinges on the alliances you forge and the betrayals you commit during the game.

Gameplay is a why choose mafia romance that invites you into a world of mask play and voyeuristic pleasures.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
A Ruthless Game Where Desire Is the Ultimate Risk

Gameplay is a dark, high-stakes mafia romance that pulls no punches and doesn’t ask permission before dragging you into its web.

Amelia Clarke is a refreshingly formidable heroine—brilliant in the shadows, lethal with code, and far more powerful than she realizes. Her loyalty to Elise Savin is the catalyst that rips her out of her carefully controlled digital world and throws her into the brutal reality of the Bratva. Watching Amelia adapt, survive, and ultimately reclaim her agency is as gripping as it is emotionally charged.

The Savin twins are masterfully written contrasts, each shaped by a childhood without choice. One leans into violence and dominance, the other fights against being consumed by it, and their shared past creates a tension that bleeds into every interaction with Amelia. Their pursuit is equal parts threat and temptation, turning the forest-set isolation into a dangerous, seductive chess match.

The remote cottage setting amplifies everything—the paranoia, the intimacy, the slow unraveling of defenses. What starts as a hunt evolves into something far more twisted and vulnerable, blurring the lines between captor and protector, enemy and ally.

This why choose mafia romance delivers on every promise: morally gray decisions, shifting alliances, betrayal with consequences, and erotic elements like mask play and voyeurism that heighten the psychological edge rather than distract from it. The true victory here isn’t survival—it’s understanding what you’re willing to sacrifice for loyalty, love, and power.

If you crave dark romance with sharp teeth, complex characters, and an unrelenting sense of danger, Gameplay is a thrilling, addictive descent into the shadows.

wow, what the perfect ending to the Savin Brothers books!!
thank you so much Shana for allowing me to be on your arc team for this one!
let me just start off by saying that Anton Savin holds a special place in my heart forever. I mean, Alexi is great too, but the way Anton caress for Amelia and would do absolutely anything for her to see her happy just WHEW, SWOON.
I loved Amelia so much. I really enjoyed getting to see her perspective and reading her story of falling in love. she definitely deserves the love that Anton and Alexi give her after everything she went through to get to where she is.
Now, Hugh? oooooh did I want to personally be the one to lock him up in that cage instead of Nikolai!! what a loser for doing what he did to Amelia
anyways back to the good stuff!
I loved how the conclusion of the Savin Brothers books ended with everyone having their own happy ending. in each book you follow a different one of the 5 brothers, and I loved that this ended the way it did.
the chasing through the basement and woods? 🥵🥵

ALSO, can we talk about how Amelia and Anton single handedly created the device that helped free Elise from the cartels hands?! I mean how cool was that. although that whole scene had me on the edge of my seat with anticipation, I'm so happy it ended with everyone home safe.

this was such a good book I cannot say enough good things about it.

I didn’t expect to fall for this book as hard as I did, but Game Play completely swept me up from the very first chapter. There’s something about Shana Collins’ writing that pulls you into the characters’ world so naturally that you almost feel like you’re right there beside them.

The connection between the main characters felt so real to me—like the kind of chemistry you don’t just read about, you feel. Their banter made me smile, their emotional moments hit me right in the chest, and by the time I finished the book, I honestly wished I could keep following their story a little longer.

What I loved most was how authentic each character felt. They weren’t perfect, and that made their journey even better. Watching them grow, open up, and stumble their way toward each other made the romance so much more meaningful.

By the end, I was fully invested—not just in their relationship, but in them as individuals. Game Play has that perfect mix of heart, humor, and heat that kept me turning pages way past when I should’ve gone to sleep.

If you love a romance that makes you smile one minute and clutch your chest the next, this one is absolutely worth reading. I’m so glad I picked it up.

ARC Review!

Thank you to Shana Collins for the early copy of this why choose mafia romance. This review is completely voluntary and my honest opinion.

I ended up finishing this book in two hours because the story moved so easily.

Amelia is smart, tough, and a hacker, thrown into a wild mission with two dangerously irresistible men to save her boss

Anton has this guarded brilliance to him, wanting someone to recognize the mind behind his harder exterior. Alexi brings a different kind of intensity. He’s protective, straightforward, and loyal in a way that feels grounding. The dynamic that forms between the three of them feels natural, even when things get complicated.

The book weaves in some darker, spicier elements cat and mouse tension, mask play, and voyeuristic moments and that give it a distinctive edge while still letting the plot breathe. And the subtle video game component was a fun twist that made the story feel unique in its own way.

Overall, the pacing was steady, the chemistry was well balanced, and the storyline kept my attention from start to finish. A very enjoyable read.

This book was absolutely phenomenal! I devoured it in a little under two hours because I could not stop reading. Both Anton & Alexi were such swoon worthy men as they were so down bad for Amelia. I loved how each of their personalities were different but fit exceptionally well together. All the side characters were amazing especially Ivy. The plot twists and the mafia storyline were wrote perfectly.

Anton & Alexi were so perfect in their own individual ways. Alexi is possessive and dominating where Anton is loving and doting. They both loved Amelia with such intensity that it seeped through every chapter. They both fought to protect her like no other and would’ve done anything to make sure she was happy. Their connection between all three of them was off the charts hot and intense.

Amelia is thrown into a world she barely knows anything about and takes it on like it’s easy. She’s extremely intelligent when it comes to coding and hacking as she saves a woman’s life. She’s fierce, loyal, and entirely devoted to her two men. I loved her character growth as she found an opportunity with Anton & Alexi to truly express who she is without fear. She loved Anton and Alexi just as much as they loved her and wasn’t afraid to express it.

Gameplay is an interesting twist on mafia romance. It’s a world where guns and code exist side by side.

Amelia is a hacker and avid gamer who also likes to indulge in her fantasies within the walls of an exclusive club that happens to cater to her tastes.

Anton and Alexei are twins who were forced by family duty to become soldiers in the Bratva. Alexei thrives in the world of guns and violence, while Anton only wants to immerse himself in a world written in code.

They’ve been virtually intimate with each other while participating in one of their favorite, exclusive games. Inevitably reality intrudes, and circumstances hurl them into the middle of a war between the Cartel and the Bratva.

Finding out your virtual lover is in the next room is an absolute mindscrew! Having two very hot, Bratva twins chasing you through the forest in wolf masks…well, that’s an entirely different kind of screwing!!!

I received an advanced copy. This is my honest and voluntary review.

Amelia is a gamer/ hacker. She's someone who hides in the shadows, but the truth is, you can't hide from the Bratva; especially when they need you.

Soon she will enter the world with Anton and Alexi, but as the two worlds collide, she'll realise she needs them just as much as they need her.

This is the final instalment of the mafia romance series, and as always, Collins gives us all of the action from the very start, with a lot of spice you won't want to miss.

We still hear of all of our previous characters, and it's great to see the development between the family and the bond between the brothers.

This narrative definitely intertwines with the previous novels, so I would highly recommend reading those first. And if you love mafia romance, you will not be disappointed.

*Gameplay* is the perfect finale to the Savin Brothers series—spicy, action-packed, and full of heart. Amelia, a hacker and gamer, gets caught between Bratva twins Anton and Alexei as virtual intimacy collides with real-life danger.

Anton completely stole my heart with his devotion and swoon-worthy care, while Amelia is smart, fierce, and deserving of their love. The chase scenes, the hacker twists, and saving Elise from the Cartel kept me on the edge of my seat 🥵.

A satisfying conclusion with HEAs for all the brothers, returning characters, and plenty of mafia romance chaos. Highly recommend reading the series in order! Easy 5⭐️.

I loved this book! Shana Collins has done it again and added yet another great read to this series. I have not read the first novel but I did read the one before this which was good considering how it helped me better understand the story. Additionally, the synopsis in the beginning was a huge resource to know what is happening without giving away those stories in full detail. Some of this novel I struggled with personally because it was new but other than that it was phenomenal but I did like the one before this better.

Solid read

This is a quick read. I enjoyed it. I definitely plan on reading the other books in this series now. I really liked how Mia just seemed to balance out the brothers beautifully. Don’t get me wrong there’s definitely some bumps along the way, but considering her life was upended and she was rolling with things, I think it went about as well as it could. I love that she helped Anton kind of break out of his shell because she understood him in a way that most people didn’t. I cheered for him at the end.

I really liked this installment of the Savin brothers series. Amelia is a great character. She has a sweetness that is a nice juxtaposition to Anton and Alexi, who are naturally rougher. Anton just wants to be understood for who he really is and appreciated for his intellect. Alexi loves fiercely and wants nothing more than to protect the ones he loves. These three make a beautiful family. The storyline progressed nicely as well.

A little tamer than what I expected from a mafia book but the twins are undeniably super hot and Amelia was anything but “boring”. Enjoyed the addition of the video game aspect as I’ve never read that in a romance before so it was a fun idea to explore. Will definitely read more by this author when I’m looking for a wholesome feel good read

Guys…our girl Shana never disappoints I swear. Amelia is a tech savvy hacker who loves to game. Anton & Alexis are Bratva soldiers. So do the math. Or don’t….and REaD THe BOOK!!! I loved books 1 & 2 but when you give me twin mafia brothers I’m 🫠🫠🫠 So, while I’ll never choose (see what I did there 😉) I have to say Gameplay really did it for me.

I love Gameplay! Amelia was quite the contrast to the Savin Brothers Alexi and Anton but they blend fabulously together. Their journey flowed seamlessly and beautifully and these characters are absolutely explosive together. A fantastic read!

The spicy, banter and drama were on point between the 3 main characters. I felt like this book wasn’t really a stand alone. Yes, the romance was between the twins and Amelia but they pick up from the ending of the previous book.

Also, felt like the emotional parts of the romance were rushed in favor of the spicy scenes. It was a fun easy read but I agree with a previous reviewer it doesn’t feel like a standalone book.

Thank you Netgallery for the Arc.
