In his debut novel, Detective PP Slather saunters onto the scene! PP emerges from the fog, scarf artfully trailing behind him as if he brought his own wind. This novel is fun, campy, noir, and engaging. This is the perfect book for a day at the beach or cozying in front of the fire. I loved the colorful characters and subtle intentional irony (I'm looking at you Lefty!). Beneath all the campy noir fun is a celebration of the LGBT+ community. In a world where AI is taking over creative works, this book is a wonderful refresh. I can't wait to read more!

From the hilarious banter of endearing and unforgettable characters, to the creative take on a “who-dun-it” mystery, this book will keep you guessing who the culprit is until the very end. Not only is this a good read, but it supports a wonderful organization, the Trevor Project. I highly recommend.

The Provincetown Poltergeist by P.P. Slather is a queer mystery with seaside vibes. P.P. Slather investigates a homicidal haunting at Pilgrim’s Perch, where a missing heirloom unleashes flying objects and cracked mirrors. This book was funny, spooky, and entertaining. If you enjoy reading murder mysteries, give this one a read!

Campy and wonderfully unserious. I loved it. This passage took me out: 😆

“When you've got a half-dozen Provincetown eccentrics screaming in an old inn with a haunted reputation, that type of chaos is like being trapped inside a banshee's MLM party.”

If you want to read a spooky murder mystery that is also funny and witty and campy and queer, this is the book for you! I so enjoyed the amazing characters this book centers on and the twisty ending. Everyone needs to add this to their reading list asap!
