'Spud and Snowball and the Fancy Fish' by Judith Rossell caught my eye as soon as I walked into Readings kids, Carlton. Immediate thoughts turned to laugh-out-loud hilarity and kitty-cat mischief, while making one big hullabaloo.

One could say it was Spud at first sight!

Jude Russell certainly delivers a quirky, funny story about Spud and Snowball, who laze on the couch watching TV every day. From cartoons, cooking programs, to doggy shows. Same old, same old. Until one day, an ad for Fancy Fish airs, and the duo are keen to sample this new edible delight. After all, Kitty-Bix is pretty boring and the same old, same old. Clever little kitties manage to place an online order and voila, Fancy Fish is delivered, but it isn't as expected ... It is VERY ALIVE and VERY BOSSY!

Sir Mimsy Woffle-Poffle-Foffington, the fanciest fish in town, is very demanding, and Spud and Snowball are there simply to serve. This is not the purr-fect scenario. What are these feline furballs to do?

Quirky artwork by Rossell makes for an illustrated Junior Fiction that will have the kids giggling. Suitable for 6+.

This book is PAWESOME!

I can't wait for the next one.
