“Have any interesting dreams lately, Red?” “Don’t call me Red. I’m just here to find out what this means.” She lied. She knew the second she entered the room what it meant. He was the one. Her psi-mate. A cold blooded killer.
A lifelong lover of books, Sabine grew up on Science Fiction, Fantasy and Romance novels.
As a child she wanted to be an astronaut and travel the stars looking for aliens. As an adult she’s seriously disappointed we’ve yet to establish so much as a moon base (although she gives a hearty nod to the ISS) and is pretty sure Humans aren’t ready to meet ET.
A Spiritual Catalyst, Electrical Engineer and Cultural Anthropologist by training, she's a geek with heart.
She’s lived in more states than she cares to admit and loves to travel. When not in far off lands, you can frequently find her walking the local beaches and plotting her next adventure.

Rebellion is book two in the Alien Attachments series by Sabine Priestley. I was generously provided with this book in exchange for an honest review by the author.
If you have read my reviews for the previous books in this series you will know that I am a huge fan. This book was no exception. I applaud the author for this in-depth if not somewhat complicated world she has created. We first met Ian and the Cavacent family from Sandaria who now reside on Earth as their government has become corrupt in book one. They employ a group of Earth Protectors or EP’s that help to protect earth and the precious mineral it provides, Carnium, which powers their ships. Ian is now psi-mated with Dani whom we also met in book one.
Ria is one of the EP’s I mentioned. She longs to find her own psi-mate after constantly being subjected to the love oozing from Ian and Dani. Ria, the other EP’s and the Cavacent family are all traveling to the planet of Mitah to attend an annual three day ball and celebration. Ria should be careful what she wishes for because upon meeting the oh so sexy Ty Sordina, she feels the zing of her psi waking up and recognizing it’s future mate.
Ty has been posing as a resident of Mitah since he was young when his parents were brutally murdered by a Sardinian military officer. He is actually Curzan. The Curzan people have been forced into hiding. The evil Chancellor Mortog has been slowly taking control of Mitah, instilling a network of corrupt officials across the planet. Their sole purpose was to wipe out any and all educated Curzans. Ty loathes Sardinian military and when he realizes he is beginning to bond with Ria who is ex-military from Sardinia, he’s having none of it.
When Ria sees the man she has begun to bond with murder someone, she actually helps to capture him. How could fate be so cruel as to find her a psi-mate who is a murderer? Ria, the Cavacents and the other EP’s all find themselves smack dab in the center of a possible civil war. But there is more to this than just what is going on on Mitah. The evil current leader of Sardinia and the leader of the portal masters are also involved. I do admit that I got a little confused with some of the complexities of everything that was happening. But it didn’t interfere at all with my enjoyment of the book.
Ria and Ty are eventually forced together and cannot deny their bond. They are each other’s psi-mates, whether they like it or not. And as with any other psi-mates, when they get together, well, expect fireworks, not little ones, but the huge, fill up the sky kind.
The book builds to a roaring finish as all parties involved are forced to face off in the bid for power. It all boils down to good against evil. Can the Cavacents and their EP’s save Mitah and the Curzans from the power hungry Chancellor Mortog and his corrupt government? Or have they gotten in over their heads here? Of course the author had my pulse pounding in my ears as we move towards the conclusion.
I can’t wait for the next book in this series, Liberation, which is going to be Balastar’s story. I’m actually thrilled he will get his own book as I’ve loved him since he was first introduced in book one. Liberation is scheduled for release the beginning of December.
I love this Sci-Fi Romance series. If I had to pick the one most amazing part of the series, it would be the vast universe that the author has created. It is apparent that a lot of thought has gone into the extensiveness of the universe and the inter-workings of advanced technology. Interstellar portals, Faster Than Light interstellar ships, sim rooms - this book/series is a sci-fi girl's (geek's!) dream. There are layers upon layers of world-building and I hope Priestley continues to write about many of the already introduced characters (I think Balastar is in Book 3 - he's my favorite - I can't wait!).
As this is the second book in the series, I thought Priestley did an excellent job catching readers up from the first book. I don't think that a reader would necessarily have had to read the first book to understand this one (although you'll want to find out how Dani & Ian got together).
It was fun to read about spunky little (but don't call her that!) Ria. I was happy to see the author give her Ty, a sexy, smaller stud just her size. It was appropriately refreshing. Give this book a try, you won't be disappointed.
I just love stories where the hero and heroine are cast in situations that put them on polar opposite sides of bigger issues. Sabine not only did a fantastic job of throwing delicious conflict at the Ty and Ria every chance she got, but also created a world around them rich with details and beautifully woven "world" plot. I'm definitely looking forward to the next installment.
I received this ARC via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.
Ria Montori, former Sandarian military officer and current enforcer working for the Cavacent clan wants nothing more than to do her job and spend time with her friend Dani. When she runs into Ty Sordina she is baffled at the extreme physical and psi attraction she feels for the native Curzan. While both Ty and Ria are willing to give into their growing physical needs for each other, both are unwilling to admit they might just be each other’s psi-mates.
Verdict: The upsides: This is a very fast passed quick read with likable characters and is set in a unique world. Ria despite being female and short has the ability to compete with the big boys and is happy to do so while Ty is a deadly rebel with a cause. They meet by chance and regardless of their differences, their attraction is explosive. The downsides: When I started reading I felt like there was a learning curve. I read a lot of science fiction and speculative fiction but there were several instances right from the get go that just didn’t ring true. Some of this might have to do with the length of the novel. Due to size, there was not a lot of room for the author to make complete explanations on why things were a certain way which left readers feeling like they had to either sink or swim. I do believe this problem might be fixed if readers started with book one of the series. Another aspect that I didn’t fully agree with: the first sex scene is within the first 20 pages with very minimal contact between Ria and Ty. I get that this book is supposed to be erotic in nature but I don’t know about you, but I need more that 10-20 words spoken between two people before any type of funny business goes down. Otherwise the attraction just doesn’t seem real. It’s akin to the difference between watching a movie like Pretty Woman and turning on an adult channel and watching anything they happen to be showing. Both films are romantically fictional but one has the pretense of having true love being the ultimate goal while the other has no other pretense than what it is: a good role in the hay. Overall, I don’t know if I would continue to read this series.
Ria Montori looks all around her and sees love. Gina and Battista, her two human Support Agents are fawning over each other like psi-mates. Ria’s girlfriend Dani is irritatingly in love with her psi-mate Ian. It all makes her feel quite single. But really, dating is just not a priority.
What is a priority is being a kickass EP (Earth Protector). Ria may be of below average height, but she graduated 2nd in her class at the military academy. Personally, a petite heroine is not a surprise at all (said the 4’10” woman). It is all in the attitude. I like this character! Plus, she is a Doctor Who fan. I really don’t even need to know anything else about her. If she were not fictional, Ria and I would be pals.
Luckily for the readers of Rebellion, there is much more to Ria. The story takes off when she meets Ty Sordina. They instantly sizzle, before they even get to know each other. Problem is, Ty is Curzon, the enslaved people of the Mitah and Ria was formerly a member of the Sandarian military who Ty blames for his parents death. This is going to get complicated.
In Rebellion, one of the main story lines is that of the Curzon rebellion. Curzons are slaves on the planet of Mitah and have no rights of their own. The basis for Curzon slavery is that a) they were destroying their planet, so it had to be taken over by the Sandarians and b) they had no psi ability. If psi ability had existed, the Sandarians would not have had any right to the planet. But Ty has psi talent. Did it come from Curzons and Sandarians intermarrying? Or was it always there?
Not all Sandarians agree with the state of affairs and some have been helping the Curzons to live free. Curzon’s are masquerading as legal citizens of Mitah. The Curzon underground been has growing steadily for many years, but things are about to come to a head. The man who killed Ty’s parents is killing Curzons again. It is easy to cheer for the Curzons. And it is not just because they are a wronged people. It is because their enemies are just so vile. Imagining malevolent sneers and evil stares is not difficult when it comes to these bad guys.
Ria and Ty get caught up in the Curzon situation. At first glance they are enemies. But are they really? I like how the complications of their romance mirrored the complications of the Curzon situation. The hope being that if one aspect resolved itself, the other would follow.
There are many great characters in Rebellion. If you have read Alien Attachments, you have met some of them. The EP team, the defecting Portal Masters and Balastar Alder are all part of Rebellion. I like the camaraderie of the EPs and the overall feel of family among the Cavacents and their employees. The Portal Masters are still pretty mysterious, but in Rebellion, you learn more of the facts surrounding their mystique. Balastar is a character that is hard not to like so I am happy to note that he is going to get his own story in the upcoming book 3 of this series. Liberation will be released in December. Rucon Cavacent has a meaty role in Rebellion which I was glad to see since he is the leader of the Earth Protectorship. And as you read, you might also consider this. Ms. Priestley does not write throw away characters. Everyone has a role to play, though it may not be immediately evident. Just keep reading.
While I am talking about characters, I will air my one complaint. The Sandarians and Curzons are very human. Earth-like human. USA Earth-like human. One Curzon says ‘That’s my name, don’t wear it out.’ Then there is a Sandarian who wears a tux. Both the phrase and the article of clothing seem quite un-alien in their origin. On the one hand, I don’t like my aliens to be so alien they are unrelatable. But on the other hand, I like to see a little more alien-ness in characters who come from other worlds.
Rebellion is a relatively complex book, with multiple plot lines going on. Some begin and are resolved within this book. Which qualifies the book as a non-cliffhanger and therefore quite recommendable. There are also plot lines that are ongoing, beginning in Alien Attachments and likely continuing into future books in this series.
I think reading Alien Attachments first will be helpful in order to get to know many of the characters and to fully understand the political environment. The socio-political situation is the basis for all the story lines in both books and will doubtless provide fodder for future books in the series. I found the complexity to be very engaging and ultimately satisfying. Rebellion is a romance and much, much more.
**I was given a free copy of this story by Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.**
I have not read the first novel in this series. I didn't even know there was one. I was not lost because the author seemed to cover enough of the backstory that I could tell what was happening. My opinion? Reading the first book first might add to this, but it's not strictly necessary.
Ria Montori is part of a special security detail. She sees how in love her best friend is with her psychically linked husband and longs to find a mate of her own. The two are invited to a party on a purposely isolated planet where she stumbles upon Ty Sordina, a handsome man repairing part of the dress shop.
Instantly they are attracted, but it's not just lust. Not everyone is a psychic, but all who do have these powers have a psi-mate who is extremely compatible with them.
The talk of dances and love and soulmates masks a deeper current of political intrigue and betrayals, of galactic domination, subjugation and genocide. As the stakes rise the tension and heat between the lovers ratchets up in a thrilling ride.
My opinion: I really enjoyed this story after I got into it. At first it was a bit slow for me, possibly because I was learning the deep worldbuilding and trying to keep track of the many characters. There came a point where I couldn't put the story down. Not only did I stay up late to finish it, I bought the first book so I could learn more about the world and some of the other characters. The science fiction was good, the worldbuilding excellent, the Romance very satisfying.
I don't know if Netgalley gave me an ARC or a finished copy of this story. The only not-so-great thing in my copy was there were about a dozen or so missing spaces between words. So "a minute" became "aminute", etc. It was very distracting. My feeling is this was something to do with the formatting from the copy I got free, probably not in the published copy, so I didn't subtract any stars for it. I only saw one actual typo in the whole thing.
What an intriguing novel! At the heart, this is the story of Ria and Ty, an unlikely duo from opposing worlds who discover they are psi mates. Their romance is at times heated, tender, and steamy, but always complicated. Ria is an EP (Earth-Protector) who is also ex-Sandarian military. Unfortunately, Ty holds the Sandarian government responsible for the deaths of his parents fifteen years ago.
Complicating matters, Ty and Ria meet each other on the planet Mitah, a world that considers Ty’s nationally of Curzan as a lower class. Ty, and many of his fellow Curzan have been masquerading as Mitah, something they have been able to get away with since they are gifted with psi….an ability no Curzan should have. Or so the Mitah mistakenly believe.
Much of the novel deals with an underground movement established to free the Curzan from subjugation. Ty is a central player in the movement, and Ria soon becomes involves. The characters are vibrant and the romance sizzles. For me, however, what truly stood out about the book was the amazing world-building and detail that went into the novel. I was transported to another universe, dazzled by the likes of Portal Masters, glowing Mitah Silk, trade organizations, and conspiracies. What a wonderful blend of romance, science fiction and adventure! I look forward to reading the other titles in this series!
(An ARC of this novel was provided to me in exchange for an honest review).
I was so hoping to get more of Ria in this book and I got my wish. While the first book was focused on Dani and Ian, Rebellion turns to Ria and her psi-mate Ty. Ty lives on a different plant Mitah, where his people, Curzans, have become enslaved. We enter this journey with Ty and Ria running for their lives in a very gripping story. Ty will do anything to free his people, and he does mean anything. Murder? No problem. Fighting his bond with his psi-mate? Again done. But when Ty kidnaps Ria they both realize that there is no running from each other and both must accept each other. I loved Ty. I didn’t care for his anger and the way he handled certain things but all together I enjoyed his character. Ria never disappoints. For someone so small she can hold her own. I love how the author combines the books with key information in all of them that keeps circling and leaves us guessing and wanting more!
*This is one series you will want to check out. The author introduces us to so many vivid planets and different animals and ways of life that you feel like you are apart of it. It is a beautiful world and one I am thankful I got to be apart! Make sure you grab up a copy of this series! You won’t be disappointed.*
It was genuinely great to be back in the world of Alien Attachments. I'd fallen in love with Dani and Ian in the first book in the series and was so glad to learn that Ria Montori, the feisty security professional for the Cavacent clan was getting her own story. The attraction between Ria and Ty Sordina was instant and believable, and I thought, short-lived. This pair has reason to hate each other from the first. Ty sees Ria as part of the Sandarian military and Ria is shocked to learn that Ty is a cold-blooded killer. But his blood sizzles when it comes to Ria and they end up reluctant partners in stopping a larger conspiracy that threatens to destroy Ty's people. This book grabbed me from the first with familiar characters and a story arc filled with intrigue that thrilled me as a reader. Priestley's writing style and excellent dialog made the book on of those I put on my re-read shelf to come back to again and again.
The chemistry smolders between Ria and Ty in Rebellion as the two of them prepare for an epic battle for equality for all citizens of the Galaxy. Great read that pulls you in for a ride to a spectacular finish.
I really enjoyed this 2nd book in the Alien Attachments series. This is about Ria Montori and Ty Sordina. Ria is a former Sandarian Military Officer and left and is now with the Cavacent Clan as an Earth Protector (EP). She meets up with Ty Sordina on a planet that was hosting a ball, and they spent the night together. She didn't realize it but has started to bond with him. He is a Curzan native and most people do not have a good or high opinion of them. There was so much passion between them but after all the info comes out and what Ty does at the ball, she is really re-thinking her attachment to him. Very intense feelings and a very intense plot between different people. Had a hard time putting it down. Highly recommend this series.
Some alien races have psi, which seems to be a sort of sixth psychic sense or talent. The Portal Masters have a particular kind of psi that makes them coveted by their guild. Additionally, people with psi have a single psi-mate: someone whose psionics can complement and bond to theirs. It’s a romantic/sexual type of bond.
Ria Montori, an Earth Protector and ex-Sandarian soldier, goes to planet Mitah for some well-deserved leave. While there, she has a fling with a young man named Ty. Ty is a Curzan, the planet’s native and oppressed/enslaved people, and he hates all things Sandarian. Good thing they don’t know that at first, right? The Curzan resistance gets Ty involved with a crime at a ball, and in the aftermath he absconds with Ria. He hates what she stands for, she thinks he’s a horrible dangerous criminal, and the Mitan government is now going to escalate its persecution of Curzans. She is his psi-mate, though, and may be able to call in outside help for his cause.
The plot is intricate, and my hunch that re-reading it would give me more treasures proved to be correct. There are several factions in play with different stakes in what happens in planetary politics. Events set in motion before the start of the story will have consequences later in the series. At the end it's illustrated that the events on Mitah are not anomalous and similar things are happening all over. The protagonists have interesting character flaws. They’re both hotheads, and Ty’s righteous anger gets him in a pickle. He’s not much for planning, it seems. He is young and oppressed and he’s not going to take it anymore. I like how his character develops during the story, we see what drives him to his actions and the fallout from them as matters spiral out of his control. He has a little reckoning where he has to weigh a moral issue, but Priestley stops short of giving him the total weight of the decision. Ria also grows up a bit during the story. She’s already had her preconceptions about galactic politics smashed before the story, and she has more to question and figure out for herself as the story unfolds. She struggles against bonding to a man who may well be an uncivilized seething ball of rage, and rightly questions how to deal with and escape a homicidal maniac. She does adapt well to the political situation and battle tactics during the story, and she’s not ashamed of saying when she’s made a mistake.
In contrast to Ty’s moral questions and dilemmas, the villains are almost all two-dimensional, cackling, and just being horrible people for the sake of it. Now, there are plenty of malicious power-hungry jerks out there, but I would have also liked to see a more nuanced take on the politics of the bad guys, like some of them being pro-stability not for the sake of power, but because chaos and anarchy get lots of people killed. Speaking of the jerks, I had some trouble keeping track of them. There’s a huge cast of characters, and some of the minor ones, especially government officials or lackeys, got confusing unless I took notes. I also couldn’t keep the different Earth Protectors sorted out unless I concentrated. I’m not one for the fated mate trope, and Dani, Ria’s friend, is utterly schmaltzy about hers, which I rolled my eyes at. Ria and Ty’s relationship requires compatible psi, though, and it felt integral to the story, driving some early actions so that it wasn’t sappy. They go fast from being unsure about each other to declaring their love, and I’ll attribute it to the natures of psi-mating. I’m still not sold on the trope as a whole, and I knew up front that would color my thoughts on the story. If you like the fated mates concept, you will probably enjoy Ria and Ty’s romantic interactions more.
I received a free copy for review purposes. Priestley has built a rich world with many moving parts, and I look forward to finding out what happens with the Portals and people scrambling around the ruins of the Sandarian Empire.
Down with the corrupt! Off with their heads. Fabulous follow up to the first book in this series. Ms. Priestley is an author to keep an eye on. This space opera continues as the alien factions continue to tear apart. It seems these psychic aliens are elitist jerks who should not be running the united worlds. Whilst earthlings are blissfully unaware of how close they became categorized as second class citizens and slaves, another world is not so lucky. The Curzan are a race of people who are labelled as stupid and lacking in morals. This is deemed by the Sandarians who have taken over the planet in order to "save them" from destroying themselves. Benevolent ownership is not what it seems here.
I have to say, there are a few plot weaknesses in this story. Ms. Priestley's world building and plot are not as strong as some other writers I have been reading. I understand the setup between the Curzan and Sandarians. What is problematic for me is the reason why the Sandarians took over the planet and how the Curzans are treated. Who died and made the Sandarians judge, jury and executioner? If the reason why the Sandarians enslaved the planet was because of resources they wanted, it would have made both the conflict and the plot stronger. Still, the story works well because of the possibilities of more battles between the Cavacent clan and the portal masters. In addition, there is another mysterious planet under oppression.
I love these themes of the underdog fighting a corrupt society gone power mad. It appeals to me and I dote on the characters who are fighting for justice. Ria is one who embodies this mentality. She's a compact kick butt former military. She could be a heartless solider following the letter to a T. Instead, she is a bit of a romantic. She carries both her feminine and masculine traits well. She is a blend of powerful warrior and sexy woman. It is no wonder Ty Sordina falls for her.
The conflict in this story is okay. The star-crossed lover sub-plot between Ty and Ria is just okay for me. I didn't really care for it even if it does add an extra tension to the storyline. I think the reason why it does not work for me is because both characters behave just a little too juvenile for me. Their lack of communication bothers me. It is a personal pet peeve when conflicts can easily be talked out and instead, they linger on because people are pigheaded and refuse to talk. It is a little too young adult style for me.
The sex in this story is fine. I lean more towards the kinkier side of sex so for me, I need more intimacy when it is vanilla sex. Ty and Ria's inability to connection until after they acknowledged their "fated" mystical psychic bond made their sex a bit lackluster for me. What I did like is the rebellion's base and how they worked to make a better world for the Curzan. The movement forward with the plot against the Cavacent clan also appeased my thirst of what will happen next. This book does set us up for a bigger showdown and I look forward to it. This space opera is recommended to those who enjoy romance, star-crossed lovers and battle to overthrow the unjust.

When finding your mate is everything you could hope for and everything you dread… Neither Ria or Ty are exactly thrilled with finding their psi-mate… not when Ty believes Ria to be part of a military regime that saw his people enslaved and his parents killed… not when Ria watched Ty kill a man in cold blood. Like it or not, though, they are bonded and each night brings prophetic dreams.
I really liked Ria in Alien Attachments. I loved her in Rebellion. This ex-military maven may be petite, but she exemplifies all that is a touted in a redhead. She’s fast, has a bit of a temper and can definitely be deadly if the situation warrants it. She’s also all woman… shopping trips for girly fashions, giggle fests with her bestie and total heartache when she discovers her psi-mate is a cold stone killer… and she wants to know why. She sure didn’t expect to find herself embroiled in a rebellion on a far-flung planet when she sought answers. It seems the whole galaxy has been misled when it comes to the native Curzans of Mitah. These are no illiterate, simple-minded people. Far from it. And, if what she suspects is true they never should have been subjugated to begin with.
Fifteen years ago, Ty watched as his parents were murdered in front of a classroom full of children by a Sandarian soldier. Now their killer is back on Mitah. People are turning up dead. The government is corrupt and there is only so much the underground movement can do and only so fast. He went to the festival to take out a killer. He never expected to be taken down by the woman he shared a glorious night of loving with. Finding out she’s ex-military is just the icing on the cake. Now he’s in the hands of his enemies and his every dream is filled with her. Every moment of his day is filled with pain. Time is limited and if they’re going to find the proof they need to free their people they’re going to have to look past the surface and trust what their bond is telling them.
Rebellion is full of action and adventure. There are plenty of story arcs to keep you busy with Ria and Ty’s romance as well as the ongoing politics of the galaxy. The secondary characters are engaging, if not totally likable. Funny thing is that even though Ria’s co-worker, Armond isn’t all that likable with his standoffishness, I can’t help but want to see where the author might take him. I’m really looking forward to seeing where the Alien Attachment series goes next. *****Reviewed for Xtreme-Delusions*****
I was provided a copy of Rebellion for an honest review for a blog tour. Rebellion could be read as a standalone novel; however, I would not recommend it. There is a good deal of political and cultural change happening in the Galaxy as a result of the emperor being overthrown; you will need a grasp on this world from the start, and you get that in book one, Alien Attachments. Book one is Dani and Ian’s story, where Rebellion is all about Ria and Ty.
Now there is a whole lot going on in this book. There is political movers and shakers, a planet trying to perform a mass genocide on a people, OMG! It was so freaking good! The thrills and the drama didn’t stop!
You have Ty, (I love that name) who hates the Sordina Military, and for good reason; they have been part of the politically corrupted system that continue to hold his people into oppression and slavery. Not to mention, one of the high ranking officials killed his parents when he was a child! So he is a big ball of hate and revenge, and one of the key players in the Rebellion.
Who does he meet? You guessed it, Ria, who happens to be his psi-mate. Now a psi-mate is this crazy connection that is beyond anything, you can’t control when you meet that person. It’s pure lust drawing your heart, body, and soul with no limits to your mate. It’s a strong driving force for them to bond; possibly for procreation, idk, we haven’t got that far yet. The bond is unbreakable, and a psi-mate is forever. Everyone wants to find their Psi-mate! But what do you do when your psi-mate is your worse enemy? Ria is ex-Sordina Military, everything Ty hates. Ty is a cold blooded killer, and a kidnapper. What can they do?! You can’t fight a psi-mate bond, its futile!
From the thrilling aspect of a Rebellion rising up to fight a totalitarian regime, to Ria and Ty’s complex relationship; I loved everything about Rebellion, I give it a HUGE 5 Boundless Stars...Sara
( I received this book for free in exchange for a honest review) If you are keeping up with the books that I read and review. Then you have seen me review Alien Attachment. It was the first installment to Alien Attachments Romance Series. We get to meet Ria in the first book, she was the new short EP. In this book we get to see some of her story along with, her finding the handsome brooding Ty aka her psi-mate.
I think that this book has the perfect example of a balance when it comes to refreshing you on the events of the book before it. The author did a great job on that, I did not think it was overbearing. A blessing in books recently {for me} is that I did not find any editing errors in this book. Which I really did love, easier on the brain for me.
Sabine Priestley does a great job with details and emotions in both of the book I have read so far. I think her characters have very strong personality’s as well.
Now the issue I did have with this book was the Multiple POVS! It had way more then the first one, BUT I know that some people enjoy that so I can not hate on the book for it. I found it a little much, even though you get the whole picture of what was going on in the story. Since it had the enemy’s pov along in the group.
The one thing I liked about the multiple pov was when I got to read more of Dani’s pov, who we know from the first book. So that part was great, I love when the writer gives us a look of the first character that we met.
So all in all it was a good book, here is to hoping there isn’t that many povs in the 3rd book. Which is named Liberation and I will be reading it next.
While this book could be read as a standalone (it would take a little bit to catch up), I would suggest reading it after Alien Attachments to keep from missing out on the first half of the story and the characters that overlap both stories. Petite and cute, Ria is an earth protectant officer and tough as they come proving that looks can be deceiving. Stumbling on her Psi mate while on a mission, their attraction is instant and all consuming. Planetary conspiracies and past wrongs start their relationship off to a rocky start. Action packed, and full of danger and intrigue, this book is a good paranormal read that will hopefully be part of a long running series. My review is based upon a review copy.
What would you do if your fated mate was a criminal?
Ria Montori faces just this issue, she finds her psi mate only to witness him committing cold blooded murder and has to arrest him. However, things are not always what they seem...
Ty Sardina is driven by his need for revenge and fighting for his people's freedom.
How these two disparate people tolerate the each others differences, as well as the misconceptions each carries, and work toward their own HEA is a story well worth reading!

After reading Alien Attachments, i jumped right into Rebellion, which brings us more adventure, action, drama, & aliens -with a little romance sprinkled in. (while Rebellion can be read as a stand alone, it's much better if you read Alien Attachments first.) I loved visiting the characters again, and getting a more personal look at Ria (who's also in book one). I loved some of the new characters, as well. The suspense kept me hanging on, turning the page, yearning to see how it all played out.
Even Better Then The First Book I really liked the first book but I loved this one. It had me hooked right away. I couldn't put it down Just like first book Sabine went into great details about the world she created. I love Ria and Ty together, along with the strong chemistry between them. I cant wait to read more from this series.

I really enjoyed reading Ria's story and about her finding her psi mate in Ty. This was action packed and filled with drama. Can't wait to see what the next one will be like
