Bechora Knight survived her first year at Blackthorne Academy. Barely. Now she’s beginning to understand the truth about her magic. Every mate bond she completes awakens new abilities within her, powers she never expected and barely understands. As fate continues placing new mates in her path, Bechora is also trying to ignore the prophecy that seems to follow her wherever she goes.
While she struggles to make sense of her growing power and the bonds forming around her, something far more troubling is happening on campus. Blackthorne is locked down and layered with wards meant to keep anything from entering unnoticed, yet students and staff keep disappearing without explanation. No one should be able to slip through the wards. No one should be able to vanish from campus at all. As Bechora and her mates begin searching for answers, the mystery only grows more unsettling.
Then there’s the king’s broadcast at the end of last year, the one claiming humans breached the Veil and war is coming. Everyone else seemed to accept it as truth. But Bechora can’t shake the feeling that something about it was off, almost like watching an illusion instead of reality. The more students vanish from a supposedly sealed campus, the harder it becomes to believe the timing is a coincidence. With the deadly End of Year Trials approaching, Bechora must master the abilities awakened through her mate bonds while uncovering what is really happening inside Blackthorne Academy before more people disappear.
It was so great diving back into the Blackthorne Academy world!
Year Two brought so much more of everything I loved. More of Bechora and her guys, more academy fun, more trials, and way more danger! I absolutely love the found family with Shadrie and Miles, and how much closer B, Gabriel and Zypher get throughout.
I am LOVING the way Bechora is finally accepting her bonds, and really getting to know more of the guys. A new face really brought some levity to the story and a very interesting side relationship that I can't wait to read more of.
I really enjoy the multi-POV of the book. Getting insight into the mind of the guys as they try to navigate the bonds, the danger the bonds put everyone in, and the growing mystery around missing supernaturals makes the story even better.
Seriously, this book is so fun. I can't wait for book three. Especially after that KILLER cliff hanger. Zoe just about made my heart stop with that ending, and then BAM it's over. I was NOT prepared this.
After that absolutely brutal cliffhanger in book one, I was beyond ready to jump back into this world — and this sequel did not disappoint for even a second.
We return to Bechora and the mates she has claimed so far, Gabriel and Zypher, after escaping the academy lockdown and entering the demon realm. Here, we finally start getting more answers about who — and what — Bechora truly is, while still somehow uncovering even more secrets along the way.
And then there’s Archer. Honestly? He may have stolen the entire book for me. The man is the literal definition of golden retriever energy in book form, and every scene with him had me smiling.
As the story progresses, Bechora continues finding and claiming more mates, and the relationship dynamics only get better from there. One of the newer mates also forms a connection with another member of the bond group, and the tension that had been building between them finally pays off in the BEST way.
The drama in this book never lets up. Every time I thought I had the plot figured out, Zoe Dunn completely pulled the rug out from under me. The twists genuinely caught me off guard, and by the ending my jaw was on the floor. And that cliffhanger? Absolutely vicious and heart-wrenching. I need book three immediately because I truly do not know how I’m supposed to wait.

It's book 2 and "B" a professional stripper mind, is still acting like someone's grandma.
Won't lie I kept cringing at her name, Bechora. Then wanting to be called B. Girl..... Even Bec would have been better... Just saying.
What exactly was the point in her being a stripper??? Pray tell me... Anyone!!
All she does is act like the biggest prude ever brought to life. I just don't understand it.
Direct quote: "Maybe it was the bond, or maybe I was shedding my old human propriety". WHAT!!! ???? Girl you were a stripper!!
I didn't particularly like book 1, I thought the FMC B was too cold and bit**y. It gets worse with book two. More me me me behaviour. Hasn't once asked how her friends are. Not even her brother, nothing.
She knows she's not human has know for a while yet B (I'm still cringing as I write this "name") is behaving like she is in High School.
I honestly despise authors that write red heads as loose cannons.
I'm sure there was a plot here but I just couldn't anymore. You are in a magical realm, you have seen it, breathed it, eaten it ........ For the sake of us readers, believe it !! Don't bore us to death.
Picking right back up where Book 1 left us, BLACKTHORN ACADEMY is non-stop, twists, turns, illusions, truths, revelations, groveling, denials, surrender 🫦, and SPICY spice 🥵 I loved this book. Bechora and her growing harem are the best kind of way to pass the day. The addition of Archer is sexy, sexy — I’m sure Gabriel agrees 😉 As steamy as book 2 is, the plot is incredibly interesting, the world build is awesome, and all the characters are well-fleshed. Good Stuff! *** Recommended ***

Blackthorne Academy: Year Two was a great continuation of the series! I loved jumping right back into Bechora's second year at Blackthorne Academy after everything she survived in book one. This installment expands the world even more as she continues discovering her supernatural abilities, meets more of her destined mates, and faces even bigger challenges.
One of my favorite parts was watching the relationships continue to grow, not only with her mates but also with her best friends, Shadrie and Miles, who are always there to support her. And Archer, he completely stole the show for me! He brought such a fun, refreshing energy to the story and quickly became one of my favorite characters.
The adventure, character development, and nonstop obstacles kept me hooked from beginning to end. And then it ended right in the middle of the trials with a cliffhanger! Now I desperately need the next installment because I have to know what happens next. I highly recommend this series to anyone who loves academy fantasy, found family, adventure, and slow-building relationships.
I love that Bechora is adding men like a deck of cards. Archer is hilarious and he def brings out the best in the brood, pack, mates lol. This one was def more spicy than the first book and I loved every page of it.
In this book we had a lot of questions answered and some hidden in plain sight as well. The next book is going to be absolutely insane. The Dean, Daena, the portal Vallyn and Dante went were in the portal? Oh yes I can't wait for the next book that is for sure.
With what Vallyn did at the end what did that change for Bechora? I know it will be big. No one and I mean no one is as funny as Shadrie. Scooby gang, B's Bitches, B's Babes, Triple D. I mean come on. She needs her own harem also, just saying.
If you haven't read Year one yet you need to grab it ASAP cause these are perfect reverse harem romantasy reads. Top tier.
If you like a dark academia setting, with fated mates, a strong FMC, why choose, deadly trials, hilarious side characters and more secrets than you poke a stick at, this series is for you!!
Blackthorne academy book 2 is here and I couldn’t be more excited to get to dive back into this world!! Book 2 picks up right where book 1 ends and had me wanting to devour it in one sitting and savour every minute all at the same time. We get the addition of a new character Archer in book 2 and he very quickly became a favourite and don’t even get me started on the spice Caulder please 🥵🥵🥵 This book had more twists and turns than a formula one race track and I was here for every single second of it!!
Arc review all opinions and my own honest thoughts
Book 2 was better than book 1 actually with the unexpected addition of Archer in the mix. He added a golden retriever flavor and the MM relationship that blossomed with Gabriel was fun.
The only thing is hoe, why aren't you fully mated yet when you know you need all the powers you can get. I know she's pissed but she can be like "okay, let's mate for power purposes and grovel for the years to come". Ya know?
Anyways, with the way book 2 ended, mama needs book 3.
Definitely an improvement over book one, this story continues following Bechora as she bonds with her many mates. It ends suddenly with the poorly described end of term? trials which are exciting. The group tries to solve the mystery of the missing students and the evil king's machinations. Unfortunately Bechora has an obnoxious and rude personality that grated on me. But, the cliffhanger is enticing.
Back at Blackthorne Academy, and I couldn’t put the book down. Year Two delivers stronger character development, some seriously delicious harem additions, and a mystery that just keeps getting better. I loved how each reveal raised even more questions without feeling frustrating. The spicy scenes were great. But that cliffhanger was rude Zoe 🤣 you’ve got me chomping at the bit for Year Three!
I loved this. I read it and then immediately read it again. I have no idea how it is going to be possible to add all the mates Bechora has left (according to our favorite seer anyway) and still wrap up the story in one book so I hope there are at least 2 more. I wish they were already out 😫
I really enjoyed the second book in this series. Picked up right where the first left off. I enjoy how different each character is and they all bring something to the story and journey they are on. I can’t wait to see what happens next.
Ahhh this one just adds to the chaos! Bonds are completed, more mates appear, other mates get their heads out of their butts …all this to say ready to enter year 3
That ending was just down right horid!!! Like seriously how could you do that to us! I'm trying not to cry! Freaking gonna hate the wait for the next book!
