My life has always been about structure. My five-year plan was always a twenty-year plan, and I’ll be damned if anyone or anything will get in the way. My job as a lecturer isn’t the most fulfilling, but I must have some stability in my life. I can’t have anything rocking the boat; I certainly can’t have a twenty-five-year-old, who has the ability to tempt me into submission, doing that.

A spicy, fast-burn romance that delivers all the feels
Another fantastic book from Zara—I'm so grateful for the opportunity to read this amazing romance. The relationship development in this story is quick, passionate, and straight to the point, making it an incredibly addictive read. The spice is fabulous and absolutely hits the spot. While there’s plenty of heat, it never overshadows the story itself—it enhances it perfectly and adds to the overall intensity of the romance.
I really loved the development between Raffaella and Salene. From the very beginning there’s an instant attraction, starting with their steamy arrangement to help with Salene’s writing. As the boundaries blur, their connection deepens into something far more meaningful than just lust. The chemistry between them is skillfully executed, completely magnetic, and impossible to look away from—I honestly couldn’t put this book down.
The side characters were also a great addition, especially Val—Salene’s best friend and editor. Val had such a profound impact on Salene’s journey, and it truly felt like without her guidance and support, the relationship between Salene and Raffaella may not have grown into what it became. She added depth and heart to the story in a really lovely way.
