Connor can taste everything he ever wanted in life: forgiveness, acceptance, and love. She’s never been so close.
And even as their world falls apart around them, a record deal, a shot at happiness, everything they’ve ever dreamed of is waiting for them in L.A. But getting out of town is easier said than done; Connor is on the run from the police for a murder he never committed, and racing to stay one step ahead of Curtis Ray Lamont, a psychotic drug dealer lusting for revenge.
What we need most is always the hardest to hold on to.

This is not a stand-alone - make sure to read Ache, Scar and then Heal. Also check for Clay, a novella taking place at the same time as Ache.
So, I just finished this story last night, and I cannot stop thinking about it. Literally gutted me. Heal starts where Scar ended - Connor and Bethany are watching the Garage burn. But now that they've realized they have each other, they know they'll make it - they have to. But now they have Bethany's father and Curtis Ray looking to ruin they're relationship and their lives, and with Todd in the hospital, they can't just leave. Or can they? With their lives threatened, Connor worries about the other girls, Carla, Peggy, Shauna and Shelly - they're lives may be in danger, too, if only by association. Officer Dan knows, or thinks he knows, how much of a threat Curtis Ray is, but Connor believes that this won't end without bloodshed and/ or jail. Feeling like they're being followed by a ticking time bomb, Connor and Bethany try to find their way out of this alive and together. Their love can overcome anything, can't it?
I seriously had tears coming down my face, sobbing, put the book down, picked it back up, put it down, finally finished...this story did not end how I saw it. Beautifully done, and I cannot wait for more from this author!!
Heal is the gut-wrenching conclusion to Connor’s wild ride where he must finally face his demons and save his friends. I would suggest reading the previous books before reading this, though. The story continues from Scar, when Connor and Bethany had a run-in with Curtis Ray. A lot happens in the story, especially toward the end, which I didn’t see coming. The story had evolved from Connor's story, and the struggles he’d gone through, and focused more on Bethany when it was all said and done. In a way, the story came back full circle.
I have a special place in my heart for all these characters, especially Connor, who literally had to face the world. And through it all, he managed to leave behind a legacy.
There is love, plenty of suspense, and very tough subjects that are addressed throughout this book. And the bittersweet ending will definitely play with your emotions.
