🌶️🌶️🌶️ 3/5 Spice

I absolutely love novella's and was super excited when C.J. announced she was going to be writing one for Iver & Chey. I thought the novella offered the perfect amount of story with spice sprinkled in. While I was hoping to see a bit more reservation on Chey's part (for everything she went through) for a novella I think C.J. did an excellent job, as they're not meant to be full blown stories (even if I wish this was one). If you love the Shadowed Heirs series, as much as me definitely give this a companion novella a try, as I wasn't ready to let these characters go.

Iver was the soonest Alpha and 100% what Chey needed. This one was a punch to the feels right from the start. Chey went through some serious trauma that she's still struggling with in the present. So when fate intervenes and pairs her with Iver, she freaks. Iver, being the Alpha that he is wants nothing more than to protect and comfort his mate. Recognizing the terrible things she dealt with, Iver learns the patience, care, understanding, just by showing up and being whatever Chey needs. He's sweet, kind, respectful and just ugh Ill say it again so damn swoony.

Iver was the golden retriever I didn't know I needed! Chey was strong, fierce, and a survivor. She endured so much and was understandably guarded. Reading about how Chey slowly opened herself up to Iver and watching her walls fall away was beautiful. Iver was the perfect match for her. He was patient and calm and gave her the control she so desperately needed. Their love story was everything 😭😭😭

Oh Iver is the absolute sweetest Alpha I think I’ve ever met!! Like seriously!! The amount of patience, respect and understanding he has is amazing!! He was exactly what Chey needed and these 2 together are just the sweetest ever!! Love them!!

I loved this novella from C.J Primer, the world of the six pack is one of my favourites in the world of books and this was such a well written story and despite being a novella really went into depth of healing from trauma. It was really beautiful.

This book was awesome but way too short!!! I wanted to have more of Iver and Chey and their family!!!!
