🌶️🌶️🌶️ 3/5 Spice

I absolutely love novella's and was super excited when C.J. announced she was going to be writing one for Iver & Chey. I thought the novella offered the perfect amount of story with spice sprinkled in. While I was hoping to see a bit more reservation on Chey's part (for everything she went through) for a novella I think C.J. did an excellent job, as they're not meant to be full blown stories (even if I wish this was one). If you love the Shadowed Heirs series, as much as me definitely give this a companion novella a try, as I wasn't ready to let these characters go.

Iver was the soonest Alpha and 100% what Chey needed. This one was a punch to the feels right from the start. Chey went through some serious trauma that she's still struggling with in the present. So when fate intervenes and pairs her with Iver, she freaks. Iver, being the Alpha that he is wants nothing more than to protect and comfort his mate. Recognizing the terrible things she dealt with, Iver learns the patience, care, understanding, just by showing up and being whatever Chey needs. He's sweet, kind, respectful and just ugh Ill say it again so damn swoony.

Espere tanto para leer la historia de estos dos y la ame.
La verdad esta historia corta me pareció la forma perfecta de contarnos como Chey y Iver terminan estando juntos.
Me gustó la forma que tuvo la autora de contar la historia y la forma en que la contó, simplemente dándonos momentos claves que nos explican como, al final, ellos terminan funcionando y siendo adorables juntos.
Creo que este vale la pena leerlo si te entro la intriga por ellos en el libro de Lo y Javi, o incluso si no porque su historia es simplemente adorable, además de que trata un par de temas de importancia.

As soon as I found out that there was going to be a novella for this series I got it straight away. I am so happy that we got to hear more of Chey’s story and how Iver managed to help her get through all her trauma. From the main series I knew they had mated but I was just like I need moreeeee, well, we got it.

As much as I wished we had another 500+ page book I feel like it was the perfect length to be able to cover their story whilst also not repeating any from the beginning of Reckless Beta. Another amazing read from C.J. Primer.

Iver was the golden retriever I didn't know I needed! Chey was strong, fierce, and a survivor. She endured so much and was understandably guarded. Reading about how Chey slowly opened herself up to Iver and watching her walls fall away was beautiful. Iver was the perfect match for her. He was patient and calm and gave her the control she so desperately needed. Their love story was everything 😭😭😭

I loved this novella from C.J Primer, the world of the six pack is one of my favourites in the world of books and this was such a well written story and despite being a novella really went into depth of healing from trauma. It was really beautiful.

I’ve been waiting for Iver and Cheyenne’s story since the beginning, and wow… it was worth every second. This novella is the perfect mix of sweet and spicy, with so much heart packed into it. Iver had me absolutely swooning—he’s that golden retriever Alpha who falls first and never wavers. 🥹 And Cheyenne? Her strength and healing journey hit me right in the feels. Their fated mates bond was tender, fiery, and everything I wanted. Honestly, this book just wrapped around me like a warm hug and didn’t let go.
