After witnessing the fall of Dalaran and braving the depths beneath Khaz Algar, the heroes of Azeroth face an uncertain future. Across the world, old hatreds are rising and Xal'atath remains at large, at work on her own machinations. But even amidst a tide of chaos and fear, hope remains.

Join Thrall, Jaina Proudmoore, Renzik the Shiv, Faerin Lothar, Alleria Windrunner, and the Locus-Walker in this new collection of novellas and short stories that provide deeper insight into the powers at play and the battles still to fight following The War Within. These tales serve as a reminder that Azeroth's fate is shaped by the sacrifices and struggles of all, and that even small, quiet actions can echo large throughout history.

the last tale from karesh saved it, otherwise it was a worse than mid read. i like that there are tales that expands some blind spots from the game but its written so uninteresingly and out of place.
once you are getting finally interested and invested the tale ends..

It was fine. The first two stories were fine. The third story, was pretty dull if I’m being honest. But the last one makes the book worth it. I wish the last story was just the full book. That had so much potential to make a full length novel out of it.

I really enjoy these short story collections. While there weren't any revelations or new information (which, yeah, that shouldn't be in the books), these stories were just nice little glimpses into some of the characters. I especially appreciated the Renzik story (justice for Renzik!) and the backstory for Locus-Walker.
