What an exciting and satisfying conclusion to this series! Burton does a fantastic job of weaving all the previous character arcs and storylines into this finale, while giving each story its own development. I loved the return of favorite characters and the buildup to the final climax is nerve wracking. A great read for readers who enjoy strong female characters, big battle scenes, and clean romance!

Romance, danger, and political intrigue create the perfect storm of twists and turns in UNIFIED, the fourth and final installment of The Legacy Chapters series. This gorgeous fantasy adventure places one foot in fairytales and the other in your favorite rag-tag band of fantasy characters toppling an oppressive regime. The deeply drawn characters will stick with you long after you turn the last page, and that epilogue ties it all up with a beautiful bow. You might also catch glimpses of some fascinating historical figures in here as well, including Queen Esther, Rahab, Deborah, and more.

The Legacy Chapters will appeal to fans of The Lunar Chronicles and those who enjoy epic fantasy adventure writers like Tolkien and Brandon Sanderson but who want the romance to be more front and center with a lower word count 😁. Regarding the romance, this would fall into the very low-spice category. Expect a few lightly described kisses.

Overall, I think my favorite character remains Matthias, but Mal in UNIFIED was a super fun addition to the romantic heroes.

everything about this series was great. this book was hands down my favorite! it made me feel whole! Burton wraps all of the series in a perfect tied bow in this last book which I absolutely adore!

This was a spectacular ending to the series!!! How the author tied up all those loose endings and completed all the various storylines from the previous books, while adding in a couple more was amazing. There was a spot or two that felt rushed, but overall amazing.

TOP READ of 2025, Yep it is just that good. I have read some amazing fantasy indie reads including Darkend by Crystal Grant, Sanctified by V. Romas Burton, and Flame Heart Dalton and Emily Bequette
This has been an amazing year for Quill and flame and all the wonderful books they have put out…….. It was not an easy choice for me but the choice was clear UNIFIED
Every single one of these books in this series has been a top read for me. Honestly this is why I just autobuy from this author, she writes with all her heart and soul. Her Faith shines through on each page and this book is just the finale of a GREAT series,
When you start this book we are reunited with Haden, a character briefly met in Fortified and we are thrushed into her Epic Esther tale…… this story was beautiful and I love how the lives of our favorite characters were weaved together for an epic battle of Good and Evil. a common plot in this series is Redemption, you always can be redeemed. But what we also saw in this book is a story of how selfish choices don’t just affect you but can affect the world around you. I have said it before V. Romas Burton is a modern C.S. Lewis, she knows how to write about faith but take you on a journey along the way. Thank you for a truly satisfying ending to this series although I feel the death of the bad guy was not long enough…… Seriously, can we take a bit more time to kill them….. Slow agonizing death for bad guys the readers need it.
No time out for this book Sorry Autor instead like your Esther this book gets crowned with TOP READ of 2025. I hope the feeling is just as good.

The epic conclusion of The Legacy Chapters.All of the many characters race toward the final battle that will decide the fate of both Trenton and Kadesh.
I really like the multi-POV aspect of this series. The characters' voices are where Burton's writing shines, and I appreciated getting to spend time with all of the characters in the final book. There were twists in store for each of them before the satisfying conclusion, and answers, finally answers, to questions that have been lingering since Book 1.
I give this series my whole-hearted recommendation to YA fantasy readers, particularly younger YA readers, who can take a few cliffhangers and like intricate plots woven with a healthy dose of romance.

Fun Characters!

All these books were a fun read! I really enjoyed all of the characters and their transformations! They all had issues to work through and they all had their happily ever after! All the love stories were so sweet and tender! The Christian values incorporated were very well done!

Great ending to an amazing series! Loved seeing the storylines from previous books come together with such a satisfying end. Great character development and relationship arcs. I wish there were more stories from this world to come! Great series for a YA reader looking for clean fantasy.
