This is an ok book. There isn’t anything wrong with it, however it didn’t really grab me like I hoped it was. I found the storyline rather boring and was incredulous that the emotions and feelings that the protagonist has was the result of one month and how much change had been evoked within her in that timescale seemed rather unrealistic. It was enjoyable as a quick, easy read, although I don’t feel the need to read about the rest of the characters in the series.
We are back again in Budbury with all our past characters from the comfort food cafe. I must say here though this book can be read as a stand alone. We meet two new characters and learn about their backgrounds and what bought them to Budbury. Sarah has quite the backstory and has some rotten luck with previous partners. Aiden however is a very handsome and weirdly wise man, much younger than Sarah but is keen to pursue a relationship with her. A lovely story that I found easy to read and it was great to see how the characters from previous books in this series have evolved.
