The spirited and sassy eight-year-old Mandy Berr strives to look—and behave!—her best in this sweet and funny tale.
Class Picture Day is fast approaching, and Mandy Berr is looking for the perfect accessory that will complete her special outfit. Her fancy-dancy sunglasses, sparkly scarf, and pink handbag are all up for consideration—but Mandy isn’t sure those will be good enough.
As if picking out an appropriate look for her class picture wasn’t enough to worry about, the principal announces a contest for the entire school: whoever exhibits the best behavior in the lunchroom for two weeks gets to have a lunch with him in the mythical teacher’s lounge! Mandy is determined to win…but will her nemesis, Dennis, get in her way?
I just bought this book when Allison Gutknecht came to my school a day ago. Needless to say, I read the book in one night! The way everything is described in the book makes you feel like you are there in the story. I would recommend all of these books to my friends. I've already added the entire list of them to my Christmas list.
This is an excellent book for girls 6-9! My granddaughter, 7-1/2, enjoyed the first three Mandy Berr books that came as real books, yet the last one appeared on my tablet. She has enjoyed the Mandy Berr stories so much but refuses to have me read the very last chapter of the NEVER WEAR RED LIPSTICK one because the series will be ended!!! We even wrote the author who graciously responded. I heartily recommend this book to young girls!
PS My granddaughter FINALLY read the very last chapter of this special book, the very last one of the Many Berr series! She kept putting off this read for it was the last chapter in Mandy's last book; she was really happy yet sad that the stories were over. Thanks, Allison Gutknecht, for your ability to write books that special girls can relate to and enjoy!
