R.E Butler is such a magnificent writer that you can not help but love her books!
The Omega's. Heart by R.E. Butler is a wolf shifting adventure. Honey Williams father, never showed her any love. He let her go to college but she had to be home on the full moon to run with the pack. She's done school and her girlfriend asks her to come out for a bachelorette party. Her father refuses to let her go. She over hears part of his telephone conversation with something bad that concerns her. She decides to run away. She drives a day and a half and pulls the wires in her car. Then she waits for help. Help comes with another shifter couple. They take her to their alpha and his wife. She tells him the truth. He insists she call her father and tell him she'll return home after the hunt. Jeremiah Kinkade is a wolf who can not shift. He is an omega. The lowest man on the totem pole. He gets all the dirty jobs and has to wait on the alpha and the betas. During the hunt he is sitting on his porch. Honey smells something sweet. No one else smells it. She shots back to human and walks up to Jeremiah. He tries to discourage her at first. But they accept each other as mates. What trouble is her father brewing?
Honey and Jeremiah's story was alright but it was kind of on a loop and seemed like it was stuffed with nonsense just to make the word count. We already knew he had problems shifting and his issues with his status in the pack. But over and over the same stuff was told. The same with Honey and her situation, we read it enough so it really didn't need to be replayed again and again. I was more interested in Adam even with the little bit that he was in the story. I thought the two were close but it doesn't seem that way. Again with the bad guys telling all their plans was disappointing and predictable. If I had something else to read this would've been the last on my to-do list.
I have łoved this series from book one. I recieve this book to read and review. Wilde Creek series is just one of the series by R.E. Butler she is a awesome writer with amazing insite into her characthers personalities to make you fall in love with them. Honey has always been a daughter to do what her father told her to do. She has never felt like he was her father just her Alpha. She had been told her mother ran off and left her and her dad, her grandmother move into the house to raise Honey. Honey was surprise her father allowed her to go to college but he always demanded she return home for the full moon. Honey's grandmother past away six months ago and her father and his beta attitudes has changed toward her. Honey over heard her father conversation and in her gut she felt it was about her. So Honey decided to run she knew her father bugged her phone so she threw it on the bed and slipped away she was afraid to take on much of anything. Only taking some clothes and her grandmother brooch. She has been driving and sleeping in her car for two days. She checks her GPS and there is a town with a pack not far. She drives until she almost there and then she pulls over and disables her car. The alpha is Acksel and alpha female is Brynn. Acksel meet one of the protectors Ren who is there to tow her car and fix it. Acksel question Honey and she decides to tell her story and promises to leave after the first then be on her way. Brynn meets her when Acksel bring her to the Alpha house. They call her father but being wolves they heard the whole conversation. But Anksel is determined to get her back on her way. They give her a temporary place to stay. On the day of the hunt Ren voluneers to run with honey thinking he may get to fool around with her, but Mia over hears and say she like her and she would do it. Honey again smells something good and sweet.
Jeremiah is feeling lonely and not satisfied with his life in the pack. He is a non because he can't shift but his wolf is sometime willing to do a partial shift but not completely. On the day before the hunt Jeremiah asks Acksel if he could just skip helping with the setup and Kammie is willing to help out Acksel say yes. On the day of the hunt Jeremiah was bored as wish he had helped. But he goes out and sit on his poach as he was looking at forest entrance out walk a beautiful she wolf, Honey started off with the hunt but her wolf caught a scent that she couldn't resist so she followed it. As she walked out the forest she see's Jeremiah and her wolf is so attacted she holds his gaze and walks toward Jeremiah and started for her, he couldn't help himself.
I love even the side characters they are fantastic. They add to the story and making me long for the next book in the series. The beginng is a little bitter sweet but by the end you leave the book knowing that they both found their place in the pack . This a very rememberable read it's a Great addition to the Wilde Creek Series.
This is the fourth book in the Wilde Creek series and it was fantastic! Jeremiah Kincaid is a full blooded non shifting werewolf. He's an omega and considered a second class citizen to a lot of the members of his pack and used as a lackey. He has become incredibly unhappy with his life, he doesn't mind helping the pack but they take advantage of him and he feels like since he can't shift, if he says no to helping the pack, they'll kick him out. Honey Williams is the daughter of a alpha who has little regard from her other than as a bargaining chip. She runs to try and escape her fate and pretends to have car trouble so she can stay in Wilde Creek until after the full moon. She follows Jeremiah's scent while hunting on the full moon and both can't be happier to have found one another. Problems occur when they realize that Honey's dad doesn't care that she's found her true mate and declares war on the Wilde Creek pack if Honey is not returned to him. Jeremiah has got to be the sweetest guy ever, he feels like he doesn't deserve Honey since he can't shift but is willing to do whatever is necessary to be the best mate that he can be. Honey is good for him because she doesn't care that he can't shift, she loves him for who he is, not what he is and together they grow, not only as mates but as people too. This is a story that you definitely don't want to miss.
i was given an ARC by the author for an honest review
Another great story by R.e! Jeremiah is a non and an omega in his pack and quite displeased. Honey is the daughter of a brutal alpha that has something cooking for her. SHe decides to run away and she ends up in a town called Wilde Creek. On the hunt she catches the smell of her mate and both their lives are going to change. Can they find their way in life together and in the pack life? Can thy escape the danger that Honey's father is?
An emotional roller coaster by R.e Butler that will make you cry and laugh and want to hit something. From page one to the end it wraps you up in the world of Wilde Creek and it feels like you are there. Once again R.e delivers and amazing book to her readers and does justice to her characters! Only down for me was that i was given the impression while reading that the next book would be Adams but its Kammies... but despite the fact that i expected it to be Adams...daaamnnnn the little we saw of Kammies story is going to be to die for!
An excellent work by R.e and a must must must must read from me!
This is the fourth book in the series and can be read as a stand alone. This series centers around a wolf pack. The hero in this story is Jeremiah. He is an Omega, because he has never shifted. He is easily a lovable character that you want to see happy. R.E.Butler does a wonderful job of bringing these characters to life. I started to feel very strongly about how the Omegas were treated. Jeremiah is strong and takes care of those who cannot take care of themselves. I was very excited to see he had his own book. I can say this book does not disappoint and would suggest it to everyone who enjoys a good paranormal romance.
Another fantastic book. I love this series. A female shifter with an evil father runs from her pack when she suspects she may be in peril. She stops in Wilde Creek and there she is safe for only one night as the alpha tells her to be on her way after the full moon. But a lot can happen in one night. Unfortunately her father is relentless. Great book with love, acceptance, peril, action, and maybe even a little retribution. Did I forget to mention surprises. Oh yes, lots of surprises here. Cannot wait for the next book in this fabulous series.
*ARC was given to me by the author for an honest review*
I love the Wilde Creek series and this book is no exception. RE Butler does an amazing job with her characters and storylines and she never disappoints me. Jeremiah is a non-shifting wolf and Omega in his pack who's ready for a change. Honey is a wolf-shifter running from her father's plans for her. When the two meet it's....well, just read for yourself and see what happens!! You won't be disappointed. Now, when's the next one RE??
Wow I think this is the best book in the series. It takes a low ranking pack member and showcases his sorrows and problems within the pack. There is so much going on but it all works together and the love story is very powerful. lOVE LOVE THIS BOOK!!!!
As always with R.E Butler's books this one doesn't disappoint. It's filled with characters that are easy to love (both main and secondary) and the love scenes are as hot as ever. Can't wait for the next one
Wild Creek is a great series and adding this one too it makes it even better. This is a great book. Action excitement with sex , hot sex with two sexy strong shifters.
It took awhile for me to really get into this one for some reason but it was a good read. I just think that he was alittle too much of a wimp sometimes
So happy Jer found his mate and his shift. I like the direction the story took. The one thing that I thought should have been addressed was the fact that Jer killed 2 alphas. By rights he should be alpha of 2 packs? Seems how that usually works. I was a bit sad about that. I do think duties need to be addressed because it seems the males higher ranking don't do squat. Since they r to guard the pack yet they failed that job several times and yet no one ever addresses that issue. Yeah I know. I like Honey she is very good for Jer. Good story definitely enjoy the characters in Wilde creek.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ - I LOVE THIS AUTHOR!! Jeremiah Kincaid’s journey from an outsider to a protector of his mate is a heartfelt one. His lack of shifting abilities doesn't detract from his strong character, and his determination to keep Honey safe from her father’s betrayal adds a layer of emotional depth to their connection. Honey’s independence and struggle with her destiny make her a strong, relatable character. The romance is built on trust and mutual respect, which creates a satisfying and uplifting story. The mix of vulnerability and passion between Jeremiah and Honey is touching, though some might find the resolution a bit too neat. Still, it's a sweet and steamy addition to the series.
Timing is everything. How apropos! Fate, destiny, their wolves, whatever you want to call it, however you want to say it, Honey & Jeremiah found each other when they needed to the most! “She. Is. Mine!" Maybe it is archaic of me, but what I wouldn't give to have that said about me!! Of course he would also be a shifter. Or maybe a vampire. *dreamy sigh* I don't truly care as long as he is my mate and a great one at that who is also very well built...in all the right places! I mean, ways! In all the right ways! *naughty grin* I love the humor and the way R.E. uses it. Sometimes when you least expect it, along comes a funny line, quip, or action. The humor adds so much by helping to make the story & the characters multi-faceted, more real which of course adds to the richness and charm. I highlighted some particularly funny lines to share but there is so many that I couldn't decide! I will leave it up to you to find them and enjoy them as much as I did. I absolutely loved that Jer got his story and a wonderful she-wolf too! For some reason I connected to her instantly! And I will say that I did have a soft spot for Jeremiah from the first time I met him. That is yet one more reason to rave about R.E. – her characters are not perfect, nor is their situation(s) nor the world they live in. I will admit I was expecting a couple of specific things to happen or play out a certain way with regards to Jer, but it either didn’t happen the same way, or not at all. As much as that surprised me, it also impressed me. Not being able to predict things in a book are the ones I like the best! It adds to the unique charm for the story and shows how creative the author is as well. There are a couple of characters in particular that I can’t wait for their story to happen but I love that there is variety and characters that you might not have thought much about, end up with their story being told before some of the more obvious characters. For the record – I am hoping that every single wolf gets their story! I love this Pack and since I haven’t been able to travel there yet, I might as well get to know my future Pack Mates while I can. I love that each story is all its own. There is no “cookie cutter” format used in each book so that makes reading the books one after the other all the more enjoyable! I have had the pleasure of reading all 4 books currently available one after the other. I am not a very patient reader, so reading a series where I have to wait for the author to catch up to me, well, let’s just say that I hate it and leave it at that. So I consider it a HUGE bonus to (finally) start reading my way through all of R.E.'s books!! Especially if they are anything like these furrific Wilde Creek books! And if these furrific Wilde Creek books & series are anything to go by, well, I am going to be one very busy & exceptionally contended reader and R.E. can now add me to her “official stalker” list!! (of course, I mean that in the best way possible – that I am going to be dedicated to reading ALL of her books and doing what I can to ensure that she will be writing lots more for me to enjoy for years & years to come!) Wanna know just how fangtastic, furiffic and what a howling great read I think this series truly is? Read my review for the first 4 books of this Wilde Creek series starting with Mate of Her Heart, #2 The Alpha’s Heart, #3 The Protector’s Heart and #4 The Omega’s Heart. There are so many amazing parts & pieces to the stories but they are too numerous to list. Suffice it to say that they are very emotional books that have this realism to them that lets you connect to the characters almost instantly. There is humor, love, hate, hot sex, emotions running high, mates, wolves & humans, but there is so very much more and it is all intertwined into one fangtastic story you just cannot put down!! You know how a lot of books revolve around the romance side of things, and how once they marry/mate etc. the story usually ends? Well these Wilde Creek books by R.E. are so much more than that! Of course there is the mate side of things, but there is also an intense deeper story that is also going on. These multi-storylines enhance each other and are intertwined together to create this substantial storyline that is all meat & potatoes! No veggies here! We are Wolves after all! snicker I love shifter stories that share the animal side as well. R.E. does this and does it well!! I love knowing what the wolf is thinking, wanting to do, etc. They have this persona, this personality that adds to the richness & quality of the story. I am a very avid reader of paranormal books - in fact I read these 4 books in only 4 days! There is a LOT of books that are awesome, with some that are permanently on my TBR shelf because I love to read them time & again. Very few of them speak to me on a whole different / other level. R.E.'s Wilde Creek series do just that. I am absolutely overwhelmed with the quality of these stories! They are these amazing stories that have this depth to them, a very richness to the storylines. They have that extra something that captivates you from the start and keeps you locked in its power until you reach the very end.
Such an enjoyable read with Jeremiah and Honey finding each other. Great storyline and loved how sweet these two characters are and how they found their calling looking after others. Just found a few facts were over emphasised too much. On to read about Kammie and her kidnapper. Read in the box set volume two.
The bonds of lust make this book great, I liked that honey was a stranger a she-wolf nature had plans for her not her father, she followed her gut and found Jeremiah a non wolf who had never shifted. Together they learnt about each other , Jeremiah saved her more than once and she saved him. This series is intriguing and I look forward to the next book.
This is a well written shifter story with great characters. This has been in my TBR list for a while I wish I had gotten around to reading it before now. I loved seeing characters from previous books. I would encourage everyone who likes shifter stories to go get this one. This one is worth your time. Go get it and enjoy.
I detest the pack politics and the blatant sexism of this world. The plots of the individual storylines are therefor uneven, as it depends on how close the couple is to the politics.
This book is about LOVE no matter what other people think. Your heart is the MASTER who chooses who you should be with and ❤️. Every chance or minute I was reading I just couldn’t put it down 👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾😍
The Omega's Heart is book 4 (Wilde Creek Series): The story has many emotions, one that comes to my mind is soul-stirring. This story crashed into my soul and found the piece I was missing-{ I hadn't written a poem in 2 years; I wrote one after finishing this book and dedicated it to The Omega's Heart. I can't thank R.E. enough for writing this story}. R.E.'s talent as a gifted writer shines as she lures you into a memorable story leaving you awe-struck and wanting more.
Impressive & Engaging characters: Honey Williams-omega she-wolf, sweet, sassy, sexy, intelligent, compassionate, supportive, honest, passionate, brave; Alpha Williams-Honey's Dad, (beast 1)/Shred pack beta, (beast 2)-Draco (Draconian laws) looks good next to these two; Acksel Moore-Alpha of the Wilde Creek Pack, powerful, stern, protective, very clever, level headed; Brynn-Alpha female-mated to Alpha pack leader, kind, sweet, audacious, understanding, the voice of reason; Dade-Acksel's father; Ren-beta, mechanic, kind; Jeremiah-omega, a non (cannot shift to wolf), strapping build, sexy, gorgeous, has the omega blues/quiescent wolf, powerful, intelligent, caring, protective; Kammie-omega-baker; Mia-Alpha Brynn-best friend;
Honey has no life with her pack. Her dad (beast 1) has removed all privileges unless she has an entourage watching her. He will not allow her to attend a friend's bridal shower as she states it. Her grandma passed 6 months ago. She had a very scary encounter at the entry of the kitchen when Shred (beast 2) grabs her by the back of her neck (showing his dominance over her) not allowing her to move-licks her cheek-states he wanted to be the one to break her-and wants to play with her too. She hears the word PURE while her dad is on the phone- it turns her off. She's living in a prison without bars/her own personal hell. Taking some personal items, clothes, cash-leaves a note stating she is going to the bridal shower. She gets in her car going where? She does end up in Wilde Creek-meets Alpha Acksel-she's is honest with him, Alpha Brynn adores her-Mia likes her-Ren might have a crush-she has a decent place to stay-they feed her-but has to leave the day after the full moon hunt. Mia and Honey hunt together, but Honey smells a familiar scent and follows it to Jeremiah's home.
Jeremiah's-status of omega is dragging him down-he is an outcast cause he can't fully shift-he has the omega blues-it's the night of the full moon-he can't hunt-this wolf is a powerhouse-he works out-he does belong to a pack-he's trustworthy-feels no mate would want him; he has a point-however, he wasn't thinking clearly-his destined-fated-mate will want him cause that's bonding magic. He also has a very quiescent wolf. He is on his porch as the she-wolf paces towards him and changes into a beautiful woman..and the story escalates.
The story is a fantasy, however, real life situations are there too, the story spirals till it peaks. Unbelievably brilliant. The characters are more than developed and you are compelled to love them and there are the ones you loathe, the banter terrific, the smut-hot blooded, heart pounding, passion, the reveals and the ending amazing. We all know Jeremiah and Honey are fated mates, the in between and the ending make this astounding. The story certainly made an impact on my life. I loved this book and have no reservations recommending it as it is a gratifying read. {I was given an arc for an honest review}.
I so loved reading Jeremiah's story. I enjoyed reading about him in the other stories. He's is unbelievably sweet! I'm in love with him myself! LOL. Honey was really sweet too. She's had a difficult life as well. I had a feeling he wasn't really her dad because who does that? Sick bastards. Anyways, I dont know about anyone else. I really don't like how the Omega's are treated in the pack. Not that they are "mistreated" but are treated like slaves in a way and just expected to drop everything to take care of whatever. I think it needs to be evenly distributed...the work that is. Also, the other ranked wolves should be shoveling their own drive ways and taking care of their own yard work that kind of thing. I honestly feel bad for them. I hope this is touched on in the next books. I realize they are Omegas and at the bottom but that doesnt mean they are less than as people or pack. They deserve respect but thats just me. Once or twice I wanted to slap Acksel for his cavalier attitude towards the Omegas. Brynn does try but even she doesnt exactly treat them well either just expects stuff to be done when she wants it. I thought it was great that Jeremiah shifted...maybe not a full wolf but something really bad ass. Acksel offered to let him rank but turned it down. Brynn and Acksel did do a good thing making Honey and Jeremiah Stewards of the pack who take care of the elderly members. That was awesome. Offered them a new home too because theirs burned down. He kinda redeemed himself a little. Still think some things should change though. I am anxious to read about Kammi's story...that was interesting. :)
