Esta historia corta la leí más por querer saber que pasaba con los personajes que por que realmente me importaran.
Al final creo que es una historia bonita, que si te llamo la atención Matty y te gustaría saber que paso con él, este libro te gustará.
Creo que su historia y la de Blair es rápida, directa al punto, pero que aún toca puntos importantes que hacen que la historia tenga alma, porque al final no es sólo un libro corto sobre como los personajes están juntos, sino también, una historia sobre como trabajan algunas situaciones que pueden oponerse a su "final feliz".
Algo que me hubiera gustado, fue que no tenemos presencia de los familiares o amigos de Blair, es como que ella nada más existe y no tiene a nadie, así que me hubiera gustado ver un poco de dinámica familiar desde su punto de vista, pero más allá de eso es una historia bonita, entretenida y rápida de leer.

🌶️🌶️🌶️ 3/5 Spice
Talk about a tearjerker. I was honestly not prepared for this one at all. The struggle that you see Blair go through is absolutely heart-breaking, but Matty never waivers in his quest to get close to her. Not only does Blair have to wrestle with the fact that her fated mate was killed, but also falling for a human who used to hunt her kind. C.J. does a beautiful job in showing how these two find healing in each other, Blair from a life she thought she'd have with a mate she thought she'd build a family with and Matty who is just trying to make amends for his past mistakes.
If you're like me and not ready to let, go of the Shadowed Heirs just yet jump into these novellas, as a few of your favorites make appearances in both novellas.

Yesss, I was so happy when I found out that Matty had his own story. There was only a really small mention of Blair storming away from him in Brutal Reign and I was so sad thinking we’d never know what happened.
I like how they were able to help Matty have a role to play within the pack and that he was able to, in his eyes, redeem himself for what he had done when with the hunters. Blairs front that she puts up is heart breaking but watching her allow Matty in and watching him help her though her guilt and confusion was amazing to see.
Like with Marked, I wish the book was longer as I’m not ready to let these characters go but ill admit it was the perfect length for their story without it dragging on and having unnecessary spice or arguments.

Spared is a spicy werewolf romance novella packed full of delicious enemies to lovers tension and spice!
I absolutely LOVE this story. Matty, the MMC, is a human and Blair, the FMC, is a werewolf who lost her fated mate at the hands of a cult of anti werewolf humans. Matty happens to be from that cult. Queue THE ENEMIES. But things get complicated when Matty falls HARD for Blair.
Will she or won't she give in!?

CJs books are always a must read for me. So when we found out Matty was getting his own story I was stoked. I had so many theories (none of which were true. Lol) and was excited to what rollercoaster CJ took us on with him. In true CJ fashion, it has everything from heartbreak, feelings of betrayal, insecurities, chemistry, tension, loneliness, frustration, etc. it felt like the whole book was hell week until the end.

Here's to second chances!
Spared is A Shadowed Heirs Novella by C.J Primer. All about over coming grief, second chances you feel you don't deserve & finding love in the most unexpected places. Matty & Blair couldn't be more different from each other but end up being absolutely perfect for each other with enough spice to have you sweating. This one was a little different from C.J's other shifter romances but it was still fantastic! I absolutely loved it!

Ok I see you Matty!! This one was everything I didn’t know I was missing!! I absolutely LOVED Matty! He may be human but he didn’t let that stop him from getting what he wanted!! He never once gave up!! Blaire..oh this girl…I’m so glad she finally came around and gave Matty a chance!! This was a great one!! Definitely worth the read!

This story was pretty different from the other books in the series. Blair’s grief is heavy and raw, and watching her try to survive that loss while being forced to work beside Matty made my chest hurt. Matty completely surprised me. His patience, guilt, and determination to be better never wavered, even when Blair pushed him away. The fact that he’s human and tied to the very people who destroyed her world made the tension even sharper. Their connection builds slowly, painfully, and beautifully, and when it finally clicks, it clicks. Emotional, intense, and seriously spicy, this novella gave me everything I love about the Shadowed Heirs universe. I didn’t know I needed Matty’s story until I read it and now I’m obsessed. I'm also a bit sad to be saying goodbye to this world because I've finished reading all the other books. But I really look forward to reading more from C.J Primer.
