Balincians were granted provision and purpose by the twin witches who ruled from the floating isles of Chaos and Order. Majestic mountains and cascading waterfalls surrounded their home; every aspect of their life was idyllic and catered, leaving no one to want. What more did one need?
Curiosity only led to questions. Questions might lead to discomfort, and that might lead to confrontation. Confrontation might upset balance, and balance was everything.
