Indie fell in love with four boys who adored and protected her. Only to have them shove her out of their lives ten years later.
Pregnant and hiding from an abusive ex-boyfriend, Indie is alone except for her best friend Maggie to help her. Until her ex-boyfriend finds her, putting her and her baby in danger.
They thought that she’d betrayed them. However, when they learn the truth . . . well, no one will keep them from her anymore.
And they will do whatever they need to in order to make it up to her.
But trouble is brewing. And it might just take all four men to keep Indie safe from the storm.
Can four dominant, overprotective men show one Little that they can be everything she needs?
Please This is a reverse harem book where our heroine doesn't have to choose!
Laylah loves reading, but she particularly loves a good romance with some seriously alpha men. Protective, possessive men with large hearts. Writing has become her passion and she hopes her readers enjoy her stories as much as she does writing them.
Loved this book, she went through so much, the pain, her being so scared, he treated her so bad, but she finally has it all and the men thinks she has betrayed them, and she is devastated, but all turns out well for all of them, great book
4.7 stars. I almost forgot about Indie with how long it’s been since I read Maggie’s book, but I love getting her side of the story and seeing her finally happy.🥹 Is have a feeling ‘Lemon’ might be getting her own book sometime in the future, and I can’t wait to see how that plays out.
Indie grew up with a totally detached, single mother, who was too busy finding her next rich Patsy then remembering that she was even a mother at all. At 14 Indies’s mom married a rich guy who just happens to have a 17-year-old son. Slade and his three best friends Quaid,Spencer and Rock decided that they would look after Indie and protect her from whatever life would throw at her all the while the five of them were all becoming the best of friends and the guys were secretly falling in love with Indie and she with them.
As the guys were concentrating on building their empire, they were waiting for Indie to graduate from college before telling her that they all loved her and wanted to take care of protect and share her forever. Unfortunately, she met Billy, who swept her off her feet (because she felt the guys could never feel for her what she felt for them ) Billy changed about two weeks after Indie moved in with him Billy became mentally and physically abusive, and she was so ashamed that she didn’t tell the guys even as he is isolated Indie from everyone and made her feel worthless. Billy hated the guys so Indy was afraid he would try to hurt them or her best friend Maggie, the only other person that Indie loved.(not going to lie This is the first of Laylah’s books that I had a hard time reading Billy was that abusive!! I could imagine it happening in real life and it was totally uncomfortable for me.)The first time Indie had the courage to leave Billy He followed her to the guys penthouse, incapacitated Indie and stole something important from the guys.(which she had no clue about.) set Indie up as the thief and doctored the proof. When Indie finds out that she is pregnant she muster the courage to leave Billy again and she runs to the guys for protection, but they are so angry at her that they turn her away without even listening to her explanation which devastates Indie. Maggie rescues Indie and they rent an apartment in Maggie‘s uncle‘s name, but after a short while Billy finds Indie and breaks into the apartment and beats Indie badly until a concerned, neighbor calls the police and stops Billy. While in the hospital, Maggie goes to the guys and explains that Indie was innocent Billy set her up and that she is in the hospital recovering from a severe beating,All four rush to her side. Indie still loves them, but she is so afraid to open herself up to be hurt by them again, and they themselves are all having a hard time dealing with how they treated her that things do not go smoothly ,but when it all works out it is so beautiful. It is definitely a book to read and I will read this book again, but I’ll probably skip the first few chapters.
If you have read Layla‘s previous reverse harem series, you will definitely recognize Maggie.
I went into this expecting a steamy reverse harem romance, but what I got was an emotional rollercoaster filled with heartbreak, healing, loyalty, and a heroine who deserved the entire world.
Indie absolutely shattered my heart. Growing up with a neglectful mother already left her craving love and stability, so watching her fall into such a toxic and abusive relationship was genuinely painful to read. The author did not hold back when showing the emotional damage abuse can cause, and there were moments that honestly made me furious and emotional at the same time.
What made this story stand out for me was the bond between Indie and the four men — Slade, Quaid, Spencer, and Rock. Their connection felt deeper than attraction. These men had loved and protected her for years, even before they fully understood what she meant to them. Seeing everything fall apart because of manipulation, lies, and misunderstandings hurt SO bad.
And when Indie was left alone at her lowest? My heart broke for her. Thank goodness for Maggie because she was truly the kind of best friend everyone needs. She fought for Indie when nobody else did, and honestly, some of my favorite moments came from her absolutely dragging the guys for the way they handled things.
Once the truth came out, the groveling, protectiveness, and emotional healing had me completely invested. Each of the guys brought something different to Indie’s life, and I loved seeing them slowly become the safe place she had always needed. Rock’s quiet devotion, Spencer’s warmth, Quaid’s emotional walls crumbling, and Slade stepping fully into the protector role? I ate it all up.
This story definitely deals with some heavy themes, so check trigger warnings beforehand, but underneath all the angst is a deeply emotional romance about found family, unconditional love, and learning you deserve to be cherished.
The ending felt so rewarding after everything these characters endured, and now I’m desperate to read more from this world ❤️
Her Forbidden Daddies is the first book in a brand new series and what a way to start! Indie is stuck in a toxic relationship and feels completely trapped. When she finds out she’s pregnant, she realizes she has to do whatever it takes to protect herself and her baby. With nowhere else to turn, she goes back to the four men who have always been there for her…only to be met with heartbreak.
I absolutely loved Indie. She’s sweet, strong, and incredibly brave, and my heart broke for everything she had to go through. Watching her fight for herself and her baby had me so emotional. I loved all the guys, but Rock completely stole the show for me. The groveling, protectiveness, and chemistry between them all was everything I wanted.
This story was emotional, heartbreaking, addictive, and impossible to put down. Even at over 600 pages, I flew through it because I was completely hooked from beginning to end. I already can’t wait for the next book!
I’m a big Laylah Robert’s fan and love her books but this one was a huge disappointment. It was just not her usual standard. Large parts of the book were very repetitive. On almost every page after they all got together, we were constantly fed with someone or all of them saying, ‘ we will keep you safe, we will look after you, we will protect you’.
It was cringy in places and I’m afraid I just did not enjoy it. It’s so sad as I really wanted to love this and was so looking forward to this book.
There were also a surprisingly number of grammatical errors. Words with missing letters, and sentences with missing words. Not the Laylah we know and love.
Will I read the rest of the series? Course I will. It’s Laylah Roberts. I’ll just hope they get better.
As the first book in a brand-new series, this was a fantastic start. I fell in love with Indie, got thoroughly annoyed with the guys more than once, and was completely invested in seeing how everything would work out. The characters felt real, the emotions hit hard, and the story kept me turning pages long past my bedtime. If you enjoy why choose romance, I highly recommend this one. It was absolutely worth the wait, and now I'm already impatiently waiting for the next book.
If you love a reverse harem then this book is for you. Indie is in a bad situation and when she discovers she’s pregnant she knows she needs to get away. She turns to her stepbrother and his three friends for help. Unfortunately due to sabotage they believe she has betrayed them and they turn her away. When they realize the error of their ways, will they be able to convince Indie to forgive them? I loved all the guys but especially Rock!!!!! Such a great book and I look forward to more.
This was such a great story. Laylah Roberts does so well with her character development and putting it in story form. Indie did not have a great home life. Her mom was very neglectful until she married a man with an older son who took Indie under his wing. Along with him and three other friends protect her from everything. It was a great story!
Indie was brave and strong. She survived an uncaring mother, being an unwanted stepdaughter and tired her hardest to move on from an abusive boyfriend who refused to take responsibility for precautions. Her hope was in 4 men: Slade, Spenser, Rock and Quaid. Will they be the support she needs, or will she have to survive them as well?
Oh this story made me cry and giggle by the end. Indies life was a never ending battle and sadly because of one horrible miscalculation ended up being in an abusive toxic relationship. As much as she describes herself as weak she’s such a strong woman. All strong women need an extra bit of help sometimes! Loved the ups and downs. Highly recommend !
Wow, what a great start to a new series, not sure how Laylah does it, but I'm always excited to experience a good read! Loved how Indie and her men became a family in the end, the journey that took them there!
I really enjoyed the characters and the interaction between them all. The story keeps you interested until the very end, with a few unexpected things happening along the way. Love the ending as well.
Loved It - at first it made me mad, but once I got past all the Billy (I don’t think I could hate a person like I did him) stuff I was fine. What each went through to show India that they really did forgive and forget what they thought she did and how sweet were they to Hope.
Coming from first hand experience you handled Indie's trauma perfectly. 👏 The guys gave her what she needed as she needed it. I cant wait to see whose story comes next I hope it's Lemons.
This book was awesome. I absolutely loved alk the different characters and interesting personalities of each person. I can't wait Gor the next book in this series. I read this book in one day it was so good.
Laylah does it again. A lovable Little and her men. A reverse harem is always a pleasure to read and some very positive mental health awareness to boot!
I first met Indie, in the Harem Daddies series. I have been impatiently waiting (pretty sure she got this book out before she said she would) and I am thrilled to see Indie and her guys. I think you will enjoy this story, if, like me, you love groveling men fixing their mistakes. Well written, funny, and poignant. I hope there will be much more to come in this series.
Her Forbidden Daddies was a story i looked forward to reading after getting a taste of it. And as usual,Laylah Roberts pays a lot of attention to what a girl needs in this first story of a new series. It’s based in Britain, and Club Slade is owned by 4 lifelong friends Slade,Quaid,Spencer and Rock. Each man has his issues, but there’s a girl that makes it all better. That girl, called Indie, comes to live with Slade because her mother marries his father. And if their issues may be bad, hers are even worse…. Her mother clearly doesn’t care for her,and drags her into a situation without even telling her! What mother decides to marry a man without telling her daughter??? The guys like Indie, but since she’s still a little too young, they wait for her to finish school. Big mistake, because another guy called Billy snatches her up before they’re ready. And Billy is a nasty piece of work…..he’s not only abusing her,but he’s setting her up to take the blame for something he does! And her guys believe what they think they’ve seen…. Leaving her all alone and pregnant. Lucky for Indie, she still has someone she can turn to….her bestie Maggie. And she is safe for a little while….until Billy finds her again. Maggie is her rock, and she’s also the one to rip the guys a new one…. And after they finally start to think,Slade,Quaid,Spencer and Rock do nothing less than their absolute best to make up for everything. If only the problems were over,though…..because they were not!
Indie was such a sweetie, and she deserved the very happy after she got. She and her little Button, the baby her 4 men ended up loving as their own. Slade, the leader of the four, managed to calm down once she was back and showed her how much he really cared about her. Quaid may have been cold to her,but once he allowed himself to feel,he knew he needed her gentle touch more then his next breath. Spencer may have been devastated when everyone thought she’d betrayed them, but once she was back with them, his sweet and funny side returned with a vengeance. And Rock….that man was silent for a reason, but it didn’t mean he didn’t feel, and once she was back,he would make sure nobody would ever hurt her again….ever! These 5 damaged souls managed to heal eachother in ways only they could, and once reunited, there was nothing that could tear them apart. Not Billy, not Slade’s arsehole father, not her awful mother, nor any threat that came their way!
Loved their story, and enjoyed getting to know them and their friends. Look forward to hearing more of them….like Margot,Lemon,Church,Ramsey,Angus and Shepherd.
Really good but why is there always one mmc who can’t be with the mfc? It’s always the same plot. Also so many mistakes as it’s based in England, author uses American words.
Wow. I really enjoyed this book and would have scored it higher if the author didn’t use American words for EVERYTHING! It’s so annoying as they’re all English. 🔵 US pants- UK trousers. 🔵 US panties- UK knickers. To be fair she did use the word knickers a few times, but then it slipped back to panties. Why does there have to be one man who can’t forgive himself in every book? One man who can’t be with her as he can’t forgive himself for what he did, or he’s not good enough. It always devastates the heroine and causes them both anxiety.
Indie meets Slade when her mother marries Slade’s father. Slade, Rock, Quaid and Spencer are always together and went to school together. Indie is instantly brought into their foursome, and as she gets older (As she’s 15 when they marry.) she starts to develop feelings for all of them. Again this is annoying as the four men decide to not tell her they want her to but wait until she’s finished at university. So she has to wait until shes 22 and old enough to be with them. They don’t discuss this with her so poor Indie gets fed up and meets and starts dating Billy, which is a HUGE mistake as he’s abusive and controlling. So the four men then decide to wait until she’s hopefully single, AGAIN without discussing it with her. So poor Indie feels trapped and isolated. Eventually she does leave him as he’s turned violent with her, and she’s pregnant.
I won’t spoil it but the four men think she’s betrayed them and turn against her. Eventually they realise that they were wrong but Indie has been hospitalised and can’t forgive them, or trust them. I liked that they had to work for her forgiveness and she wasn’t a doormat with them. She’s still in danger from Billy, and has health issues.
It’s still really really good and I did enjoy it, even with a huge amount of mistakes.
I have to express my disappointment and annoyance at the fact that yet again the author didn't deem trigger warnings deserved to be part of the blurb.
Some readers DON'T want to find out there are potential triggers when they have actually purchased the book - it should be made perfectly clear to potential purchasers before they pay their money.
It's a cheats way of making a sale.
So, there are potential triggers relating to domestic abuse including violence and mental.
There is also a potential trigger relating to manipulation including sexual.
There are numerous errors, mostly missing words, which is irritating beyond belief when you consider that every single book by this author contains numerous errors. It just doesn't get any better.
Which clearly states that the author doesn't care about the errors as long as people buy the book.
With over 100 books by the author in my collection I'm afraid this is where I draw the line.
The author is prolific, but at this point most of her books are repetitive, if you have read one, you have read them all.
I don't want to read about a pregnant woman being punched and kicked, it wasn't even off page or fade to black.
