But behind the Temple’s pristine gates, Safah finds no piety. Only cruelty. Devotion is demanded. Obedience is brutalized. And the sacred path she was taught to revere is soaked in blood. To break her into submission, she’s paired with Quazar Valoryen. Cold, lethal, and devastatingly handsome, the cursed prince will end her life if it means he’ll gain his freedom. I received an ARC of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Readers, I am shooketh. No one told me this would end on a cliffhanger, but end it does on a cliffhanger. I don’t even know how to begin processing what I just read. I’ve read all 6 books in the Wicked Prince collection, and this is the only one that has emotionally destroyed me and brought me to actual tears.

The enemies to lovers storyline of our MCs was written well and developed organically. The side characters and found family and real family will pull at your heartstrings and leave you wanting more. The villain, the true villain, will blow your mind and I don’t know if I’ll ever be okay with it. The last 20%, but especially the last 10%, of the book had me flipping pages and thinking no fucking way and what the hell and just no so many times; the chokehold it had on me will not be leaving me anytime soon.

I need the next boon for this world ASAP, like yesterday. I just can’t.

And because I like to know, there are some grammar/spelling editing errors throughout the book.

Wicked Prince of Curses by Stephanie BwaBwa, the sixth entry in the Wicked Princes series, plunges readers into a darkly enchanting world of magic, devotion, and defiance. The story follows Safah Anathelle, a temple disciple whose destiny has always been tied to the sacred traditions of her matriarchs. But when the truth behind the Temple’s holiness begins to unravel, Safah is forced into a dangerous initiation alongside Quazar Valoryen — a cursed prince whose very presence threatens to shatter everything she believes in. From the very beginning, the book immerses readers in a high-stakes journey filled with tension, betrayal, and reluctant attraction.

The world BwaBwa creates is richly atmospheric, drenched in mysticism and danger. The Temple, once a place of reverence, becomes a haunting stage where faith and cruelty intertwine. This setting provides the perfect backdrop for the central relationship between Safah and Quazar. Their enemies-to-lovers dynamic is intense, full of fire and emotion, and it’s one of the novel’s greatest strengths. Safah’s devotion and inner conflict — torn between loyalty to her beliefs and the painful truths she discovers — give her character real depth. Quazar, on the other hand, is complex and compelling, both villain and victim, cursed and craving freedom. Together, they make a pairing that’s as destructive as it is magnetic.

The pacing is strong throughout, with tension that builds steadily toward an emotional and thrilling climax. BwaBwa excels at balancing world-building with romance, giving readers both vivid imagery and heartfelt moments. The writing feels cinematic, full of intensity and passion, and readers are likely to be swept up in the emotional whirlwind of Safah and Quazar’s story.

However, there are a few small drawbacks that keep this from being a five-star read. At times, the world-building — though imaginative — feels a bit uneven. Certain political or magical elements of the Temple are mentioned but not fully explored, leaving a few lingering questions. The romance, while compelling, occasionally develops too quickly; the shift from hostility to attraction could have used a touch more gradual buildup to make the emotional transformation fully satisfying. And since this is the sixth book in a shared universe, newcomers may find themselves momentarily lost among references to previous events or characters.

Overall, Wicked Prince of Curses is a beautifully dark romantasy that delivers both heart and heat. It’s a tale of faith tested by truth, love born from chaos, and strength forged in pain. Fans of morally grey characters, slow-burning passion, and richly imagined fantasy worlds will find a lot to love here. Though not perfect, it’s an unforgettable addition to the Wicked Princes saga — and a strong recommendation for anyone craving romance with a sharp, dangerous edge.

⭐️⭐️⭐️️⭐️/ ️🌶️🌶️🌶️

The final wicked prince is here and Stephanie BwaBwa closes out this series with a remarkable story. Wicked Prince of Curses is book 6 in the Wicked Prince series and closes out the series wonderfully. Each book has focused on a different wicked prince and the women who discover that the villain of their story is often misunderstood and nothing as they expected. If you love romance and fantasy that ends up with the villain getting the girl, this series is for you! This story begins in wanting revenge, but quickly morphs into looking beyond preconceived notions and getting to know the person behind the mask.

Safah is a fierce and hot tempered character that I seriously enjoyed reading about. Her drive in avenging her mother was commendable. I could easily resonate and connect with her, needing to do what she needed in order to gain closure. And while she is driven, she is also able to admit her mistakes and work to fix them. As she journeys to find the person who took her mother away from her, she begins to see that not everything is what it seems and not everything she’s been told is the truth.

Quazar is the first prince of his kind in this series. As he and Safah grow closer and closer, he begins to poke holes in everything that Safah has come to believe in and trust. He is captivating, allusive, and complex. The more I learned about him and his scars, the more I needed. There were times in the book I didn’t know what to think about him. Is he really the villain of the story or an unknown victim who is being set up? Stephanie definitely keeps you guessing until the very end.

While all of the stories in this series are considered standalones, this book does leave you with questions and the possibility of a second book that dives deeper into the universe that Stephanie created. The world building is cinematic and epic. I was continuously drawn into this book with its vivid imagery and layered characters. This entire series has been a joy to read and I loved every book!

As always, review any author notes before reading.

This story is about an angel named Safah whose mother was killed by the Fallen and their Fallen Prince. She desires revenge, but must Ascend first. Once succeeds in the trials to join the Order, then she will make the Fallen Prince pay for the death of her mother.

However, as she goes through training, secrets are revealed about the Order and Ascension that causes Safah to question everything.

This was an intense read. I mean from the start angels die, and then they reach where they can Ascend and it’s like there’s just more death. I would never do what all these people did. I would choose to just be with my family and not Ascend 😅 The misogyny in this book too was a lot, along with the corrupted leaders or those whom you should trust, but I love the relationships that remained and built despite these hardships and trials.

Safah is fierce character. She’s out for revenge and has a temper she usually keeps in check until she loses that self-control and it’s like all hell broke loose. I appreciate that she knew when she messed up, acknowledges it, and does something about it.

Her relationship with Quazar is tumultuous and made their slowly changing relationship believable, even though it still seemed sudden when they truly cared for each other.

I loved the found family in here and how they grew to love each other and fiercely protect each other. Then add in the Fallen and it was this great big family!

The twists, secrets and betrayals that occur throughout were, again, intense. The things that happened in here were insane and why anyone would keep going is beyond me or not call them out. You think you know who the good guy is until it turns out they’re not who you thought they were. Which is what Safah learned and in a very hard way.

This was a unique and intense read. I’m curious to know how it will continue since there was indication that this story isn’t done…I think.

Thank you to the author for the e-ARC. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Wicked Prince of Curses ARC Review
2.5⭐
I was so disappointed in this book.. 😞
Now, I could tell right from the beginning that I wasn't going to enjoy it. And this is because of the angel/religious aspect. So I am not the target audience. This could be a five-star read for people who love books about angels.
but I went in hopeful because it was part of the Wicked Prince's series, and every book has been phenomenal. Even if I take the religious aspect away, I can't find how this fits into the Wicked Princes series. Our "Prince" Is barely on page; we learn basically nothing about him. His skin is covered in written scroll but we never learn what it is. If this is his "Curse"; what IS the curse? Our FMC has hidden written scroll that will occasionally appear and we learn nothing about that either. There is no payoff in this story. Which apparently it's the first of a series for this author, but I'm reviewing it as part of the Wicked Princess series and it's just highly lacking.
There is intense World Building which is the only pro here. You can tell that the author put in a lot of work to create this beautiful world. But unfortunately the characters are very flat.
There would also be huge holes in the story, where the FMC was unconscious. A chance to give us POV from our "Prince" and actually explore him. But this wasn't done. A very large missed opportunity.
unfortunately this book was missing a lot of emotion and depth, and unfortunately had an excessive length for the little that happened..

ARC received in exchange for review, review contains mild spoilers.

Where do I even start?! Wtf was that ending? Holy cliff hanger! I have never hated a grandmother more I don’t think…

This book is enemies to lovers, forced proximity, deadly trials, betrayal, misogyny, bigotry, corruption, touch him/her and die and so much more. The trials are similar to an angel version of The Hunger Games or The Maze Runner for lack of a better comparison. It reminds me a little of The Croaking on WEBTOON. Not spicy but lots of adorable flirting and not HEA but their story isn’t over so we can hope to get there. This book drew me in unexpectedly and I DID NOT expect that ending! I hope we get to see how this plays out.

My only ick I guess is the best way to put it, is she’s lost A LOT of blood and has ended up unconscious from blood loss way too many times for someone whose secret lives in her blood. Especially when the secret snuck out so easily in the beginning when fighting after finding out about her temple bond. In the realm of the Wicked Prince series/ collaboration I’m not sure it really fits nor does it live up to its title. There is no curse defined and we haven’t learned about his markings or her blood yet. In the realm of its own series it has promise.
This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.

There were a lot of things I really enjoyed about this book. The characters were fantastic , a wide, interesting range with distinct personalities, and the plot itself was solid and kept me invested from beginning to end. I never felt bored, and I genuinely cared about what happened next.

What I didn’t love was the cliffhanger ending. This is the first book in the Wicked Princes series that isn’t a standalone, and because of that, the enemies-to-lovers dynamic felt a bit rushed to me. Knowing there’s likely more to come, I wish it had unfolded just slightly slower. (Totally a personal preference, not a knock on the author or their writing.)

I’m also conflicted about the world-building. It felt both overly complex and not detailed enough at the same time. That may very well be a “me” thing, though, reading is subjective, and sometimes a world just doesn’t click for one reader the way it does for another. Even a day later, I’m still not sure how I feel about it.

Overall, though, this was still a pretty solid read and one I’d definitely recommend. The story is compelling, the characters shine, and I’m curious to see where the series goes next.

**ARC REVIEW**

Wicked Prince of Curses by Stephanie BwaBwa is the stunning finale to the Wicked Princes collection—and what an incredible way to end the series!

This story made me both laugh and cry. The danger, the adventure, and all the unexpected twists kept me glued to the pages from start to finish.

Safah and Quazar are bitter enemies forced to work together through the brutal Temple Trials, and their dynamic absolutely crackles with tension. Their growth, chemistry, and emotional depth made this book impossible to put down..

Stephanie BwaBwa delivers a powerful, emotional conclusion filled with heart, pain, and redemption. Wicked Prince of Curses is a perfect ending to a series that proves—sometimes the villain really does get the girl.

The Wicked Princes series is a collection of standalone fantasy romance books that can be read in any order—but I highly recommend reading the entire collection.

Thank you to Stephanie BwaBwa for the ARC. All opinions are my own.

Beyond brutal

I really really really hate giving books bad reviews. I only read indie authors, so I know how absolutely critical reviews are, and how hard it is to get people to give a new author a chance. I admire these women so much for putting their souls out in the world for everyone to see. But... I just didn't like this book! I'm sorry! It was beyond traumatizing, literal torture, pure graphic evil. WHY? All the other books of these series were fairly light to read, despite their wicked princes. They had bad stuff happen, but you didn't actually SEE it! This was just indescribably painful and heartbreaking to read. Despite the cliffhanger at the end begging me to continue the series, I really don't think this will be one of those times. I'd prefer to scrub it from my brain. Now, if you don't mind brutality, it's a decently compelling enemies to lovers story, though not truly, since their enmity was all based on lies. So I'm not saying that there's no one out there who wouldn't like it. It's just very much not my taste.

I really enjoyed this book. The world this book take place in is awesome and so different than anything I have ever read. The main character, Safah, is starting her trials to Ascend, like the other females in her family. She makes it to the temple but the trials are just beginning and she gets paired with her enemy. The trials are brutal and I wasn't expecting as much blood to be spilled. Her enemy becomes the person she trust the most and she begins to question everything she has been told. I really enjoyed the way Safah and Quazar spoke between the bond, and their banter (so good). Once you get started, the story is hard to stop reading. I'm looking forward to the next book because it will be very interesting to see how Safah and Quazar work together.
I would highly recommend it if you like enemies to lovers, forbidden romance, and epic fantasy worlds.
I received this book as an ARC and I am voluntarily leaving a review.

Another fabulous book in the Wicked Princes collection. Safah and Quazar are thrown together against their will. Bitter enemies now have to work together to get through the Ascension. Will they be able to put their differences aside and work together, or will their hatred for one another keep them from their goal? This book has so many amazing characters, with twists and turns, surprising plot twists and never ending danger and adventure.
It's been a long time since a story brought me to tears...but this one did. I got so emotionally invested in this book that I felt their thoughts and emotions. This book was so well written that I could visualize the world and people, which added another layer to my connection. I couldn't put the book down. You will love every word and every page!

Whoa. Mind. Blown. Book 6 of the Wicked Princes series is another HIT! I love the world building and the characters. They dynamic between the angels and the "fallen" being that of different elements really did it for me. Shadow Daddies always win in my book and Quazaar....whew, he stirred some feelings deep within. This is a sloooooow burn with a lot of tension. There's barely any spice but there is enough banter to make up for it. True enemies-to-lovers style, the love that Safah and Quazaar found is intense and unbreakable. Any one who's read my past reviews knows this about me...I HATE cliffhangers. This one is no different. Ummmmm, is there a Book 7??? I need to know what happens next, like yesterday.

The "Wicked Prince of curses" can cast a curse on me anyday. On a serious note I absolutely enjoyed this book. I'm so happy I was given this arc to read. The story following these angels trying to ascend was interesting and unique. One lives in shadows and other is starlight. Two opposites. Both the leading man and woman were strong, smart, capable, and the way they stood up for others brought me to tears. this had all the best tropes including forbidden enemies to lovers. I usually have trouble staying interested in romances with very little spice but I still enjoyed it this time. Now the ending is a total cliffhanger which surprised me and makes me hope maybe the author will release more involving the angelic storyline. I definitely recommend this book.

Safah & Quasar - A Rebellion in the making…
This is what happens when a carefully planned plot to force people into submission starts to unravel. This enemies to lovers, absolute animosity that ends in deathly blows, talons flying, combined with dark humor is torture in ways that tickle your hackles. Try having out a full on war in a dorm room. The rollercoaster ride is but a small part of reality when it comes to the utter devastation of insufferable heartbreak. Unfortunately thé truth is not yet revealed, ending the book in a shocking cliffhanger…
I can’t wait to continue reading this story because there is too much still to reveal and many questions that have to be answered.

Stephanie Bwabwa is a new to me author and I was granted an arc of Wicked Prince of Cursed in exchange for an honest review.

This was a dark angelic, enemies to lovers, romantasy. The world building was good, though some parts seemed vague or overlooked. The relationship between the FMC and MC flowed naturally and the storyline was strong, though again some parts were vague or overlooked.

I was flowing along, invested, wondering at the next thing, wondering how the author would/ could possibly explain everything and wrap it up for the HEA I was expecting and DID NOT GET! Nooooo. My eyeballs ran smack dab into a cliffhanger.

I need the next book!

It took me so long to get through this book. The first half of the book, with every chapter I read I considered DNFing the book. But I felt like I was already too invested in it. The world building was insane. I honestly got so lost and confused and didn’t know what I was reading. The second half I was enjoyed much more. But even after finishing the book I’m confused because this is part of the wicked prince series. But it felt like there is going to be a second book.
I know authors put so much into their books and I hate leaving a bad review. So for me, while I can appreciate the world building in this book some of it went over my head and this book just wasn’t for me.

The world building was incredible. Entirely different to anything I’ve read before throughout all of the fantasy I’ve spent the past 30 years reading. I’m not religious but found it fascinating. The story did not trigger my church trauma.

Safah as our main, first person POV FMC, was smart, powerful, and resilient.

But there was no development whatsoever for the relationships. It was very instantaneous, rushed, aggressive. All of it. Her falling for Xaden - I mean … whomst? Her grandmother’s betrayal took zero processing.

She was horny at her sister’s funeral. Having buried many relatives, I can confirm this should be weird, even to seraphim.

rcvd an ARC from the author. Wow..this book made me mad on behalf of the main character, Safah, on the trials and tribulations she had to endure. Safah is an angel who wants to like her mother and grandmother....ascending! but what is new this year is bond mates....and those bond mates are the Fallen. Quazar is the Fallen prince and Safah isnt exactly happy to be his bond mate but the more she gets to know him and his brethren, she knows its not True on what they've been taught. Safah, Quazar and their wing group will go on a series of quests to uncover the truth but what will be the cost?

"I'd advise you to shut the Hels up or I'll drown you in shadows and remind you that darkness does not simply bend to me. It bows."

I was not expecting to be drawn into this book as quickly as I did. It started me off at the edge of my seat and ended with me screaming "What!".

I loved the relationship between Safah, Quazar, and their friends. The way they tease and support each other reminds me of my friends.

But that cliffhanger! I need the next book ASAP because there is no way that's the end. Not when I need to know what happens next!

Received this in a ARC. I was so upset at life for not allowing me to remain absorbed by this book from beginning to end without pause. The characters are complex, deep, and most do not meet initial expectations. I was crushed, emotionally broken and completely exhausted (in a good way) by this story. Get your tissues and comfort snacks ready. Also, make sure you have a stress ball for the parts that make you rage. Trigger warning for SA, revoked life, and violence.

I received this book as an ARC and am voluntarily leaving my review. This is the last book in the Wicked Prince series. Let me just say, that I am sad this series in over but extremely happy to have ended it with this book. The author pulls you in front the start with captivating characters, wonderful world building, and amazing writing. I could not put it down. I will definitely be reading more from this author and hope they continue within the world they have created in this book.

This is the latest captivating addition to the Wicked Princes collection. In this story, the two main characters, who are initially bitter enemies, are forced to collaborate as they navigate the challenges of the Ascension.

The narrative introduces a diverse cast of remarkable characters, and it is packed with unexpected twists and relentless danger that keeps the adventure alive.

Wicked Prince Of Curses has a lot of potential as a series. The world building that was in this book was really good, however I felt like it needed more for me to really feel immersed in the world. I enjoyed the characters and the plot of the story, but was confused by the magic system.

I'm intrigued to see where the story goes.
