Disappointing
I downloaded this book skipping past books 6 and 7 since I've just been reading the Veyr and Cyan books but it seemed like I'd missed too much so I went back and skimmed the previous book but it turned out it wasn't necessary everything you need is here.
Again this is a very short hot read, Cyan has forsaken Lycan society after hearing that Veyr has mated another, she's heartbroken and alone meanwhile Veyr finally has everything sorted and he's now looking for her.
I was disappointed in this Veyr is supposed to be the strongest of them all, an alpha that rules and is ruthless when called for, and while I appreciate there's a council to answer to the fact is if he loves Cyan she should have been his first thought not an afterthought, I know he had everything sorted but she didn't know and he hadn't even thought to mention to her that he wasn't mating another.

Every now and then I just have a craving for short and sweet, fill every hole smut and this series has so perfectly hit the mark on a stormy Sunday arvo tucked up in front of the fire I just can't put them down.

When Veyr and Jace hatched their plan in The Captains Challenge The Master forgot to do something very important. Let Cyan in on the plan. So she truly believed that he rejected her to mate with another. So thinking that she had been cast aside by the Master of the City and brought shame to her pack she exiled herself from the pack and went to live among the humans. Little did she know that she took a piece of Veyr with her.
Veyr fudged up big time. He thought he had it all figured out. He was going to beat Vanessa's brother at his own game. Get her and his best friend mated and he and Cyan would be able to be together with no more issues. His mistake. Thinking that he didn't have to tell Cyan about the plan. Now she's gone and no one has any clue where she is. Once he finds her he knows that he will have his work cut out for him to win her back.
I absolutely loved it. Having read this series from the start I of course know what happened in The Captains Challenge. Even knowing this my heart broke for Cyan and the emotional pain that she was in. It was awful what Veyr unintentionally put Cyan through. However the man certainly knows how to make things right including some very unsanitary but oh so steamy kitchen play. I definitely recommend reading. However it is truly best to start from the beginning of the series. The Smut-shorties are a great way to get a great story that you can read in no time!

I only recently disovered that Mated to the Master wasn't the last installment in the Master of the City serial as I had previously thought, so I went ahead and read Mistress of the City instead of finishing the original serial. But when I found the missing volumes I felt I had to read them.
I agree with some of the reviewers that this was an unnecessary installment. Things ended on a happy note in Mated to the Master, and I am not sure how I feel about the drama that unfolds in this story: Following the events that took place in The Captain's Challenge, Cyan thinks Veyr has abandoned her in favor of Vanessa. Humiliated, Cyan formally withdraws from Lycan society and leaves Veyr to ponder what a colossal idiot he's been for not including his true mate in his secret plans. I have to agree. What kind of man/wolf/alpha keeps a massive secret like that from the woman he loves? I was not pleased. However, two good things came out of the colossal misunderstanding. Nevertheless, I would have bitten Veyr - IMHO Cyan let him off the hook far too easily...

What a wonderful ending book of the bundle.
Master's Baby... loved it! Just because you're the Master of the City doesn't mean you give up your personal life. Veyr will learn that sooner than later. Another lesson well learned should be communication, that would have solved the majority of his problems.
Cyan your heart wont be able to help to reach out to her... running ok, might not have been the best choices she made, but yeah can see the reasoning behind it. She allowed herself to fall so hard for Veyr, that when she heard he picked another Mate all her options was to run away.
How far would one go for pack? when is self sacrifice enough? There was this one scene, was just on hit... loved it! you like short hot reads and shifters? go grab the series... I recommend it .. Enjoy

Sigh, emotional and smexy
The last past of Cyan and Veyr's tale is a little emotional. You will get dragged through the ringer a touch but it will all come out smexy in the end.
I have enjoyed this series so very much! I hope that we see more of this world and get some supporting characters stories. Yummy Alpha's Nick and Alex deserve HEA too!

Tanto de "eres mía, mi todo, te amo" y a la hora de los problemas para separarlos por intrigas iba a abandonarla vayaaaaaaa y ahí se fue mi simpatía por el protagonista a quien admire en casi toda la seria uffff. :O

When I first read that the next installment for Cyan and Veyr was THIS I cried just thinking about poor Cyan getting hurt and not just hurt but LEAVING! I thought for sure that Veyr would explain things to her before all this went down but alas...
We enter this story with Cyan already gone for a few weeks and Veyr trying to find her hoping that she was just laying low and reading him mind or some lame male thing men think up when they don't want to admit that they might have oopsied all over themselves. Now I'm going to post some SPOILERS HERE so stop reading. First off, all the people whining that the HEA happened too quick and with no big huge meltdown breakdown BS--um, he explained it ALL quite literally I shall quote a line from the book in where he tells her quite specifically that he had NO intentions of marrying or mating Vanessa.
"My stupid pride that I could do everything by myself. Sort it all out. I was never going to mate Vanessa," he admitted in a low voice. "Jace and I, we had it all worked out. But, I should have told you. If I could go back and do it over..." 60% Loc. 211 Kindle Version for anyone that tries to claim that isn't a real quote. I would add a screen shot but its late and I'm tired and annoyed that people skim and don't read.
ANYWAYS! For me this was the perfect mixture of "After a little bit of trouble, they shall have all that they desire." Jane Austen went by this in her books and I was reminded of speaker I recently saw Candance Havens. She said you want to sick your heroine in a tree and throw rocks at her until the book is done. Basically, make them all work for that HEA. And Mina really did make them work for that HEA! I loved this series of shorts with these characters. I hope to get more from Vanessa and Jace also, but I would like to a few more tidbits of Cyan and Veyr. If that means a bit more trouble for them--I'm totally down!

cyan's life has been turned upside down when the allegations against veyr were made she leaves and forsaken her pack thinking veyr had cheated on her and mate Vanessa living in the human world she must make a new life for herself but veyr comes looking to explain will veyr find cyan? will cyan give him the chance to explain? The Master's Baby is the next addition in the Smut-Shorties series. After reading The Captain's Challenge, I never thought of what the consequences for Cyan were. I think Cyan and Veyr both made mistakes with how they handled the situation so I had no problems with them making up quickly. This installment was different then the others but I enjoyed it. Now I really hope Cyan's brother gets a story.

This book has one of my favorite hot and rough scenes I've read so far!!!
This one is the continuation of what happened at the Captain's Challenge, Veyr proved to be as any other man: stupid, so he left Cyan to herself thinking that he actually have mated with Vanessa McCauley, who is now mated and married with Jace, thing that you know if you have read the previous book.
But no, the stupid and apparently self centered Veyr thought that if rumours get to Cyan, she would blindly belived in him, but what he wasn´t counting was that she knew so well how commited to be the alpha of the pack he is, and of course that he would do anything to keep the balance inside of it, including of course casting her aside.... so that is what starts the plot here; and of course anything of what I've said is what actually Veyr have intented...no he was more than in love with Cyan but he didn´t go straight to her and explain her everything, because he could do everything for himself and Cyan would be okay with that... he makes her think she is worthless and someone completely unimportant to him!!!!!
Cyan left the pack and eveything related to the werewolf world, she goes back into the human world trying to forget everything about Veyr, and she goes fine with it, until Veyr himself appears right in front of her and tries to explain himself giving openning to a fucking great hot scene that I'd always love to read... and of course at the end we got to see a little surprise by Cyan's part, even though it actually was also a surprise for her as well!!
I REALLY LOVED the story betweenn Cyan and Veyr, as their names... so much more than Vanessa and Jace's story!

Cyan and Veyr. I didn't realize this was the tail end of a serial when I downloaded it to my phone. It didn't matter, story-wise. The author fills you in at the start despite it being a very short story and it all made sense. It sounds like the whole serial would have been entertaining, but I don't feel the need to go back. This end part is about Veyr's apology. But I have to say it was a bit of a let down. Considering how much he took her for granted, this woman he professes to love. He treated her more like a peon than the love of his life. Then to make it worse, he doesn't go after her for several weeks. I would expect some time needed to rebuild trust in their relationship, but nope, she's just fine with his weak *ssed apology and all is well. We are supposed to see her as a strong woman, but I just didn't buy it. It wasn't romantic either. In real life, I'd be seeing a divorce down the road for these two.

This is a short. Not being familiar with the other stories in this series (this is listed as 11), I was pleasantly diverted for the few minutes it took to read it. Think I'd really enjoy it if it was put together as a novel - no way would I spend $0.99 for 26 pages... and do it 11 times - can you say SUCKER?

The conclusion of this series of ultra short novels/chapters. I think Cyan should have at least raged out at him before disappearing, she had to give herself some credit since she was not at fault. Vyar should have thought of reassuring his mate first thing of all. They are quite a stupid couple in that way, but very puddly to each other which is very sweetly cute. Btw his dramatic entrance really reminded me of seeing her as a poor Cinderella.

Cyan is feeling betrayed from Veyr's behaviour. She left her pack, she doesn't know that Veyr is still mated to her and she does not realise she is already pregnant.
Veyr has to grovel to get her to accept his apology. I loved this Alpha arrogant male begging and crying!
I would like to see more of these two, please.

That f*** asshole Jacob!!! I hope he's dead and dismembered!!! Why did he have to ruin the whole thing,huh?!!! They were happy and mated for godsakes
The last one almost brought me to tears on both the main couples POV and I was crossing my fingers the whole time for them to be back

Of all the books...
So far in this series, this one is my favorite of all. Only thing that would make it that much better would be more information at the end. I've enjoyed this series quite a bit so far. (It was a great choice for reading today since I've been busy and reading it between activities.)

This short story wasn't as exciting and as spicy as the previous ones. I am glad they got back together, but it was way to easy for him. Felt like Cyan had no self worth. I will read the next because I loved Book One-Book Ten!
