If you don’t already know me from my how-to videos or my website, then I want you to know that I am a real person and this is really what I do for a living. I am a Master ASE certified collision repair instructor and I have been involved in the industry for many years.

My passion for working on cars started when I was a kid. I helped my dad and older brother work on cars as a hobby. In high school I enrolled in auto shop and painted my first car. After stepping back and seeing the finished product, I knew that I was hooked for life. After graduating high school I attended the collision repair program at WyoTech. Since then I have worked for body shops as a body tech, paint tech, and as an estimator. I have managed and owned a body shop.

For the past 8 years I have been teaching collision repair for an NATEF Accredited school that is also a member of the I-CAR Industry Training Alliance. I stay up-to-date with the collision repair industry by attending training on a continuing basis, I am a member of ASA and an admin for Collision Blast.

I am Master ASE certified in collision repair and certified by PPG paint.

I have several books, which will teach you the basics to auto body and paint. If you are interested in auto body repair as a hobby or career, then I recommend you treading my books. The books are geared for DIY enthusiast, collision repair students, or anyone wanting to learn more about auto body and paint.

Think about it...For less than some fancy cup of coffee at Starbucks you can gain the knowledge that will last you a lifetime.

My goal is to provide you with as much valuable information as possible. If you do not feel the information is worth the cost of the book, then I insist you to have Amazon refund you money and make a run Starbucks.

Enjoy the books,

Donnie Smith
