I love reading and have an interest in many types of books--from fiction to nonfiction. These are my personal reviews based on the following criteria:
★★★★★ - A book I loved with strong writing and powerful content. One I'd keep on my bookshelf!
★★★★ - A book that is well-written and interesting or inspiring. Would likely reread.
★★★ - A book that I enjoyed but wouldn't necessarily read again.
★★ - A book I didn't enjoy but had some merit.
★ - A book I truly hated or couldn't finish.

As a newlywed, I love reading books about marriage. This book is unique, however, in that it feels less like I'm reading a book and more like I'm sitting across from Lisa soaking in her wisdom. Also, I love lists and that this book is one long list of 100 is perfect! Lisa shares honest, tried-and-true ways to better love your man. I'll be returning to this read again.

Rather simplistic, and with some annoying formatting issues, this would be great to give to newlyweds or for someone who's never read any books on marriage.

Loving him

good read and reminder of the fact that as women are called by God to respect and love our husbands. Love is something we choose to do for someone else by sacrificing self to put them first andf.build them up.

This wasn't what I expected. Very short to the point bullet points, most of which I felt should be fairly obvious. But it was a good reminder of basic marriage principles.

Nothing mind blowing in this book, but these were good reminders and I know I will enjoy rereading this in the future to remind myself.

Note: This is not a detailed guide. It avoids any kind of legalism of how things are supposed to look, but gives you an jumping off point (or 100 points) to love your guy well.

Quick read

It was a good little fast read that could be read here and there and not as a story. So just good tid bits to use as reminders.

There’s nothing wrong with this book, it could just be a whole lot better. Some of the style choices made it hard to read (em dashes instead of hyphens). And it would have been better as twenty-five fleshed-out points. Many of the hundred were repetitive and I only remember the ones that had an accompanying story.

Lots of good! But not a complete winner.

So many newlyweds I'd like to give this to! It's such an easy read, and could be used as a simple daily devotional as well (focusing on the various types of "acts of love" each day). I quickly read through this in one sitting, but went back and lingered over it for a few days, and jotted down my own notes and ideas.

And my favorite part is how the author isn't afraid to express her servitude to her husband, talking about how it's sort of a lost art form, or how women get bashed for wanting to do things for their husbands these days, or how we need to get back to building them up as well as their masculinity (which ISN'T TOXIC!!!!! bring this back, please!!!). I'm a fan, and I'm going to read her husband's book, 100 Ways to Love Your Wife, because I'm curious :)

I received this for Christmas from a sweet girlfriend and wow, did it ever get in my business. But it also was encouraging as there are some lessons I've learned from loving my Man for 27 years. Definitely would encourage any wife to read and re-read!

Short and sweet, but packed with wise words. I think I’ll try to make a tradition of rereading this every year close to our anniversary.

I’m 2 weeks shy of 9 years married. Happily married to
a wonderful man. I picked up this book because a few influencers i followed recommended Lisa Jacobson (Phylicia Masonheimer and “Chels-Catz in the kitchen”).

This book was sweet, very traditional, and a quick read. I read about 20 ways per sitting. I wish i could say i read something that really changed the way i loved my husband… in most ways, we have already been doing what was recommended.

Perhaps this book is perfect for a newly wed, or a wife who is struggling to love her husband practically speaking.

Wonderful book

This book made me laugh, smile, and made me realize the things I do and don’t do for my husband. Although I don’t consider myself a bad wife, I’m not perfect in anyway. My husband brings out the best in me and I like to think I do the same for him. This book is a great read for those seeking reassurance or those who need a bit help showing their husbands how much they mean to them.

A Lifeline At The Right Time

My significant other and I were going through the biggest "bump" we've ever had. I opened my bible while I prayed, read, and cried. Not an hour later this book popped up on my "suggest list". We decided to read the set. This book is such a great reminder of how God wants us to love one another. Thank you!

A cute little book full of short ideas on how to care for and show love to your husband. There are 100 ideas included and so easy to read and focus on one a day. I think I'll keep this book handy and pull it out every now and then to remind myself acts of love come in all shapes and sizes, and a lot of it is simply revealed through my attitude.

Definitely a great book to read over and over and over! While some of her advice stepped on my toes, other bits made me feel as if I wasn't doing as bad as I thought. I love how practical and simple she breaks it down to be; how to honor and love your husband the biblical way. A must read for wives or soon to be wives that are striving to be the best wife they can be!

Get this book! Such a great read and for everyone whether newly married or married for years! Also singles could read it before marriage (great encouragement for them too before walking down the aisle). Thanks so for writing this!

Short read. Lists 100 practical ways to love your husband better, and examples of ways you may miss opportunities to love your husband so you can recognize them. My husband read the book about loving your wife too. Highly recommend for both newly weds and those looking to renew intimacy.

Started & Finished

Found many commonalities things we can all relate to. Basically its all about perspective, I liked the way she used her own experience as examples.
