The eyes don't lie, I've always found... There I was, in the most beautiful city on Earth, surrounded by gorgeous buildings and the history of centuries of the Roman Empire, and I hadn't left my apartment in months. I was in a rut, one that seemed impossible to break out of. Even worse, my lecherous professor threatened to end my education in Rome if I didn't sleep with him.
That's when my knight in shining armor appeared. The only American I had seen in weeks, he swept me off my feet. In a night of tumultuous passion, I was broken from my rut. I never thought I'd see him again, but he showed up again at just the right moment. When I poured my heart out about my situation as I bathed, he jumped in with me, expensive pants and all, eager to listen.
I never even recognized that he was Liam Montgomery, billionaire CEO and playboy.
But there was something different about him. Something that his wealth couldn't hide. An honesty that shone through. And when he told me time and time again that he thought I was different, I began to believe him. I began to believe in myself. I began to believe I could find happiness here in Rome...
Lucy just loves to write romantic stories filled with steamy scenes. She hopes her audience enjoys reading them as much as she enjoys writing them.

I hate having to write a 1 star review as my first review ever. I couldn't get into this book. There was no real connection between Emma and Liam. The romance fell short, it seemed as thought they were just hooking up. Liam is suppose to be a playboy but, the author didn't put and effort into making it sound believable. Then Emma is having problems with one of her professors. It seems that he wants favors of the sexual nature in order to give her passing grades, which will allow her to stay in Italy. She seemed genuinely afraid of her professors advances in the beginning of the book, but then she continues to stay after class to meet with the professor alone, knowing what his intentions are.
Emma always dreamed of going to Rome, so much so that as her father was dying, he told her that he put money aside so she could take that dream trip of hers. Her made her promise him on his death bed, in front of her mother that she would go. When Emma gets to Rome, she finds an apartment and immediately enrolls in school. She is too busy with school to visit Rome like she promised her father she would, that is until Liam (a man that she has known for all of 5 minutes) comes along and suddenly, she seems to have all the time in the world.
Emma was determined to make bring her grades up so she wouldn't have to go home as a failure and disappoint her mother. She refused to give up but, other than studying and going to class, there was no effort. She had an important paper that was do but kept putting it off saying, "I have a month to do it", then I, have 2 weeks to do it" and finally, "I have a whole business week left". Then when some woman that she doesn't know and who doesn't like her tells her that she isn't right for Liam, that he belongs with some rich, well educated woman, not some middle of nowhere, nobody like her, she decides that maybe she should go home because this man that she has known for all of 2 weeks means more than her education. She is convinced that he could never really be with someone like her.
The Professor blackmailing her part of the story was peppered in. There wasn't enough of a story to make that particular subject matter. It's like the author started writing one book, changed her mind and decided to write and entirely different book, changed her mind again and went back to the original book, then decided to put them both in the same story.
Not a bad story. Loved Liam but would have loved to know a bit more about him. The story wasn't bad about college girl being blackmailed by sleazy teacher. She fell in love with Liam but didn't think she was good enough. Bring in bitchy secretary. Not bad sexy moments but something was missing and ending felt rushed. Overall still enjoyed it
I thought the heroine was a little to melancholy or dramatic for me. I wanted her to be stronger but her fatalistic view was tiresome. I kept hoping that Liam would be the one to help her get a backbone. Overall I thought the ending made up the story and I enjoyed the tidbits about Rome.
Italian Kisses is a sweet love story: You immediately meet Emma and Liam and you know right away that something special is going to happen to them both. Emma has a low self esteem of herself and Liam is very good at reading people. What Emma thinks is just an accidental one night of passion to get her out of her so called rut…turns into a beautiful adventure. They have some bumps but through them Liam proves is love and willingness to fight for her and for their love and future together. Emma really sees Rome for the first time with Liam even though she has been living and going to school there for months. Liam see the Beauty of Rome through Emma’s eyes and he to see with new excitement. While reading this I found myself transported to Rome and I could picture the streets and museums I visited there and in Florence so many years ago I strongly suggest you add this to your reading list. You wont be disappointed. Well done Lucy Lambert :)
I was gifted this book in exchange for an honest review
I read this book when I returned from a vacation, it was like a vacation from my vacation!
Watching the relationship evolve between Emma and Liam was lovely, I thought it might be a little slow, but it picked up just at the right time. It flows nicely, not too fast or too slow. These characters who struggle with so many issues, learn to be impulsive and trusting. They grow together and as individuals. The plot twists and turns were unexpected and well written. The attraction between Emma and Liam was instant and hot!!! The author describes Italy in a way that makes you feel like you're right there, able to see, feel and taste right along with the characters. It had moments of suspense and intrigue that worked well with the steamy scenes. I would recommend this book.

Emma is an American studying in Rome. She's somewhat unhappy and grieving a loss. She's failing in her studies and is under pressure from one of her Italian professors for an unprofessional relationship, in return for better grades.
One night, she meets the mysterious Liam, a fellow American on business in the city. There is material evidence that he's successful at what he does.
Their one night together turns into a full-on pursuit by Liam and their relationship blossoms. However, a revelation makes Emma question what they have and her trust in him.
An enjoyable, straight forward romance. Something light to slot between the more angsty reads!
Italian Kisses had the potential to be a really great story. The Author used Too Many unnecessary fillers, this story should have been about 160 to 175 pages long instead of 222 pages. The storyline about the Italian Professor blackmailing her was thrown in the story sporadically. There was no real storyline about the blackmail, no real depth whatsoever and it almost could have been left out, along with the Secretary storyline. Then you throw in that silly climax (that was absolutely unbelievable) to the story and you are left in a state of disbelief. I really wanted to like this story, but I found it extremely difficult to get through.
How bad can a Kindle free romance be? Well, THAT bad.
First, to anyone wanting to write a bit of Italian to make it more "authentic", please take at least Italian 101 or a couple of basic free lessons (I'm sure that can be found online) to know how to write "yes" and "Italian" in the said language. That would be a lot less frustrating for the few of us, readers, who are fluent or have some notions of the language.
Then there were the typos and misspellings. Were there any beta readers before publication? This novel felt like the first draft, nowhere near a finished novel.
Emma's life as an art history student pulled me into the story. Additionally this fact and the description of Roman historical monuments held my interest in Italian Kisses. I wanted her to succeed as a student even more than her and Liam strengthened their relationship. The romance between the two is engaging but the method of attaining that relationship did not win me over with crazy love. I love romance at a slower pace and Emma and Liam's chemistry journey went rapid. I rather communication before kisses or more, so that part of the novel(which began and persisted) felt odd.
Emma and Liam started off rocky. Emma just thought he was a hot business guy in town for business. Little did she know he was a billionaire. Emma is going through a lot. She lost someone important and has douchebag professor to deal with. Cute love story.
The ending felt like a cliffhanger to me. To much left to the imagination. A few grammar issues but overall good storyline. I loved the fact that it did bring out a lot of art history which I love.
This is a sweet love story set in Rome with loads of twist and turns and shows how with love you can overcome all things. This is the first book I have read by this author and I really enjoyed it. I read it in about 3 days in between lots of other happenings!
3.5 stars. Good storyline, but would have liked a little more character background. Ended a little abruptly for me. Would have loved to read what else happened.
