She remembers the pain. He remembers the love. But second chances don’t come easy in a small town.

Emery Bennett is ready for a fresh start. Burned out from city life and still reeling from her ex’s betrayal, she inherits her grandmother’s antique shop in the town where she once spent an unforgettable summer. The problem? It is also the place she swore she would never return thanks to Knox Cooke.

Knox has a reputation problem. One that could cost him his future and the respect of the one person he needs to prove himself to most: his father. He is determined to show he has changed, he just needs someone willing to believe in him. When Emery rolls back into town, she’s the last person he expected to see, and the only one who can help.

A fake dating arrangement seems like the solution they both need. Emery gets her truck back on the road, and Knox gets a chance to rewrite his story. But when old sparks reignite, the line between pretend and real blurs faster than either of them expected.

Now Emery must decide if she can trust the man who once shattered her heart, while Knox has to prove he is no longer the boy who broke it.

Fake dating set in a small town? I'm SAT.

𝑺𝒚𝒏𝒐𝒑𝒔𝒊𝒔:
Emery Bennett is hitting reset. Tired of the city grind and still reeling from her ex's infidelity, she inherits her grandmother's old antique shop in the charming town where she once had the summer of her life. Catch? It's also where Knox Cooke, who broke her heart some years back lives.
However circumstances push Emery and Knox to pretend to be a couple so as to repair Knox's tarnished reputation in Honey Groove🏘.

𝑹𝒆𝒗𝒊𝒆𝒘:
Emery is grumpy and guarded. She knows what she wants (and doesn't want). Knox is extroverted, charming and has a bad reputation in town but somehow makes you like him for it.

Emery and Knox's chemistry from the very first page is undeniable. With their complicated past and contrasting personalities, their banter had me giggling, and their interactions feels genuine. The small town vibe is really cozy, and Knox's growth is everything.
Totally recommend if you are looking for "my reputation's never been worse so you must like me for me" kind of story.
Can't wait to read the next book!💞

Book 3 in the Honey Grove series, but I read it as a standalone.

This book felt like a warm hug mixed with a punch of emotions I wasn’t ready for. Nostalgic is all about looking back at who you used to be… and figuring out who you want to become. Tyra Lynn absolutely nails that bittersweet feeling of first love, lost chances, and the pull of the past. This book did something to my soul.

The characters felt so real! A little flawed, emotional, and trying their best. I loved how the story balanced tender moments with deeper themes of growth and healing. It’s one of those reads that makes you pause and reflect on your own “what ifs” while rooting hard for the characters to get their second chance.

If you love:
emotional depth
fake dating
unresolved history
bad boy rep
grumpy fmc
relatable characters
witty banter
stories about rediscovering yourself

…this one deserves a spot on your TBR.

A beautifully written reminder that sometimes going back is exactly how you move forward.

I really loved Nostalgic. This was such a fun return to Honey Grove and honestly one of my favorite books in the series so far. 4.5 Stars!!!

This story starts with teenage heartbreak—Emery spending one unforgettable summer in Honey Grove with her grandma (literally how I spent my summers growing up), falling for Knox Cooke (I also fell for cute boys in the summer), and then having her heart absolutely shattered before the summer ends (my heartbreaks at the end of the summer were too real!). This is where the similarities between Emery's summers and mine stop.
For Emery we fast forward eight years and she is back and runs straight into the one guy she never wanted to see again.

Literally.

Her truck breaks down at the Honey Grove welcome sign and the tow truck driver who shows up? Knox. Of course it is. The universe clearly has jokes. This is also one of my favorite meet-cutes (this might be a do-over meet-cute?!).

What follows is one of my favorite romance setups: fake dating with a whole lot of unresolved history. Knox needs to repair his reputation in town and Emery needs help fixing her truck, so they strike a deal to pretend to date for the summer. Obviously nothing could possibly go wrong with that plan.

I loved the dynamic between these two. Emery is a little grumpy, a little guarded, and understandably not eager to trust Knox again after what happened when they were teenagers. Knox, meanwhile, has spent years regretting the mistake that drove her away and trying to prove he’s not the same guy he was at sixteen.

And honestly? Knox was such a standout for me. Underneath the town “playboy” reputation is a guy who is loyal, hardworking, and trying really hard to make up for the past. Watching him quietly show up for Emery again and again was so satisfying.

Their chemistry was great, the banter was fun, and once the romance really started picking up… let’s just say the tension was tensioning.

I also loved the Honey Grove setting. Small towns in romance just hit differently, and this one feels cozy and lived-in, with side characters that add so much personality to the story.

At its heart, this book is really about second chances and being misunderstood—how easy it is for one mistake or one rumor to define you, and how hard it can be to shake that reputation even when you’ve grown.

If you like:
✨ second chance romance
✨ fake dating
✨ small town settings
✨ grumpy girl / sunshine-ish guy energy
✨ a hero trying to prove he’s changed

then you’ll probably love this one too.

Honey Grove keeps pulling me back in, and now I’m already hoping we get more books in this world.

4.5 stars!! I loved this one!!!

At 16, Emery spent her summer at her grandmas house in Honey Grove. Girl meets boy, they fall in love, boy breaks her heart at the end of summer. 8 years later, Emery returns to Honey Grove for a fresh start after inheriting her grandma's antique store and breaking up with her cheating boyfriend. Of course, her truck breaks down just as she reaches the town welcome sign, and she calls the only shop in the area for help. A little while later her tow truck shows up... and out hops none other than Knox Cooke, the boy who broke her heart all those years ago. She's determined to keep her distance from her enemy, but when he's basically the only mechanic in the area, fate clearly has other plans.

Knox Cooke fell in love with Emery at 16, but he was scared and made the mistake of telling a friend that she was just a summer fling, and he would let her down easy at the end of summer. He had no idea that she was right behind him and heard the whole thing. She fled, and he chased after her, but wasn't able to confess his true feelings. Before he knew it, she had hightailed it back to NYC without any goodbye. Heartbroken, he spent the next 8 years being the town playboy trying to forget the girl he let get away. When fate puts her in his path again, he seizes the opportunity. He proposes a deal: she agrees to fake date him until the end of summer to repair his reputation with the town after a scandal, and he'll complete expensive repairs on her truck for free. Knox is determined to show Emery that he's not the same kid that broke her heart, but will she see the man he's become, or will the end of summer tear them apart just like it did 8 years ago?

I really loved this one. At its core, Emery and Knox's personal stories are both about being misunderstood and misjudged by others, and the affects of being labeled and written off before anyone actually knows you or heard your side of the story. I think this was portrayed so well for each character; Emery through her family issues, and Knox by, well, essentially the whole town (and sometimes his own family as well). They each grew and bettered themselves by putting in the work. Their banter and chemistry were top notch, and the spice was spicing by about 50% in, but not overly done. It was easy to see why Knox was considered so charming, but the real selling point was how loyal and respectful for those he truly cared about. He would be welcome to push my buttons any day 😂

Thank you so much to Beyond the Books PR and the author for allowing me to read and review!

They made me cry. They win.

I devoured it and I’m absolutely annihilated. 😭💕

Nostalgic by Tyra Lynn completely wrecked me in the softest way possible.

They were so cute. So in love. So painfully meant to be. I genuinely couldn’t take it anymore. 🥹

Emery Bennett returned to Honey Grove carrying heartbreak and burnout. After her ex’s betrayal and the chaos of city life, she inherited her grandmother’s antique shop — the same place tied to a summer she never forgot… and the boy who shattered her heart. 💔

Knox Cooke, meanwhile, remembered the love.

But in a small town? Second chances didn’t come easy. Especially when reputations stuck, fathers expected more, and history refused to stay buried.

When Knox needed help proving he’d changed, and Emery needed a solution of her own, a fake dating arrangement seemed harmless enough. He fixed his image. She fixed her truck. Simple. 🚗✨

Except nothing about them was ever simple.

Because the sparks? Still there.
The tension? Unresolved.
The love? Unfinished. 🔥

And watching the line between fake and real blur had me smiling like an idiot one second and tearing up the next.

Emery was angry. Guarded. Scorned. And so incredibly relatable. She had walls built high, but I loved watching them slowly crumble as she allowed herself to hope again. I cheered for her every step of the way. 🥹🛠️

Knox? Yes, he started as the charming, womanising extrovert with a reputation problem. But what I adored about him was his emotional vulnerability. He wore his heart on his sleeve when it mattered. He fought for redemption. He wanted to be better. And honestly? That growth was everything. 🫶

I loved every single second of it. Sometimes you know what’s coming, but the magic is in how it unfolds. The banter. The longing. The quiet moments. The almost-confessions. It was fun, flirty, charismatic… but also deeply emotional. 💞

And yes. It made me cry. So they win.

This is perfect for fans of:
💘 Second chances
🎭 Fake dating
🔥 Old flames
💔 He broke her heart
😤 Hate to love
😌 Charming “arsehole” hero
🏡 Small town romance
🛠️ Starting over
🥹 Emotional redemption arcs

If you love your romance with clichés done so well you can’t even complain — this is for you.

Thank you so much to Tyra Lynn and Beyond the Books for the ARC opportunity. I’m so grateful to have experienced this one early. 💌✨

All the stars. All. The. Stars.

This book was 🤌🏽 from start to finish. You start off with a broken heart as teens....to read about when they finally meet back up and get a second chance. Fake Dating your ex that you "hate" while he secretly wants to show you he's different. Le sigh. It's like the bread and butter for the romance world.

He's like sunshine and SHE is the grumpy one. I love that trope, don't ask me why. 🤷🏽‍♀️

The small town in this book is just delightful. Not to mention all of the side characters, except for Patrick and "Avery" who can go kick rocks.

Knox is a yummy character. I don't know how else to describe him. He's so hard on himself between trying to prove himself to the town and his dad, and trying to make up for a shameful mistake he didn't realize was playing him for a fool. He was SO good to Emery and I loved watching him with Milo.

Emery was grumpy but so snarky, quick witted, talented, and cared deeply. I would not mind having her as a bestie one bit.

🫶🏽 Lines:
You will not distract me from this very big important issue by baiting me into a debate about Hallmark movies again.

. . .some may say it has me feeling all the warm and fuzzies, but I'd rather stick my tongue in a mousetrap than say that out loud.

It makes me feel all warm and tingly inside. But like. . .in a manly way

Don't let your own regret keep you from living. Life's too short to live in the shadow of your past.

If he actually tried to cuff me, I'd probably let him. I'd be a willing abductee, and I'd willingly let the Stockholm syndrome take over.

Because I'm a pessimist at heart. I keep waiting for the universe to remind me that I don't get to have a happy ending. 💔

"Small towns love a good redemption arc."
And boy does this ring true for this book.
This was my 1st Tyra Lynn book so Im coming in late to the series, however not having read the first 2 books I didn't feel like I was missing much as this one reads as a standalone. I'm sure having a bit more context about some of the supporting characters- Henry & Emma's story or Wren's but didn't feel necessary.
Overall I enjoyed this read! More than I thought I would, I liked how this story was about a 2nd chance romance but also with a spicy enemies to lovers twist. Getting over your 1st love is never easy, especially at 16 when everything feels extra devastating. That's how it was for Emery after young & dumb hottie Knox Cooke breaks her heart. Fast forward to 8yrs later she ends up back in the small town that she loves so much & because the universe is funny, she is pushed right back into the man who broke her heart's orbit.
Knox's charismatic, charming personality definitely had me giggling at times. The author paints him as a bit of a man slut, never committing to anyone or anything other than his job as a mechanic. And with a 1 night mistake, he earns the title as the town home-wrecker, tainting his reputation & future. The only thing he can think of to help turn things around is his Bambi and he LOVES to push her buttons. Coming up with a deal Emery can’t resist, forcing them back together- finally realizing they’re not over each other all this time later.
If I had to criticize 1 thing, I actually wish both characters were written a bit older. At 23/24 everything they’re trying to achieve by owning their own business, family, sexual experiences, etc.. just felt a bit unrealistic or immature- which in a weird way leaned a lil YA🤔🤷🏻‍♀️ even though this was definitely for an adult audience.
This book does have our fav tropes:
👩🏻‍❤️‍👨🏻fake dating
🗡️frenemies to lovers
🏠small town
💖he falls first
💕second chance
🌶️spicee

Thank you BTB PR for sending me this arc! Enjoyed this read & loved discovering a new author.

i received this arc from the author and leave a review at my own discretion.
i ate this up. Devoured. Absolutely annhilated.

This book is filled with cliches that you absolutely have no choice but to love: old flames, fake dating, second chances, hate to love, charming arsehole... I could go on but you get it and already are thinking, "yes, I'm invested." and yes, you should be because it's done so so so well.

I loved the characters in this. Emery is your typical angry, scorned, but also likeable and relateable FMC. She recently moves back to her Grandmother's deceased estate/store and works toward opening a furniture refurbishing business after a recent break up. Her character is someone we have all been at one point or another, but you 100% cheer for her throughout the story as she slowly breaks down the walls and allows herself to be happy and loved again.

Knox is your typical, womanising, charming, extroverted guy but what I LOVE about his character is how he wears his heart on his sleeve in time and expresses an emptional vulnerability that we truly wish we could see in modern men and sometimes, even get to.

The story was predictable, but I loved every second of it and loved the ways the characters added their own spice to the typical tale. It was fun, flirty, charismatic and I loved the way it was written - in finished this book in under 3 hours and it was because I literally did not want to put it down (I burnt my pasta in the process FR).

ANYWAY, I 100% loved this book and fully intend on reading the next one because its pretty easy to see who's going to be the focus of attention and I cant wait to read that fire-gasoline dynamic :)

*Thank you to Beyond The Books PR for the ARC. I’m so grateful for the opportunity to read and review this early. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Review: ⭐️ 5/5 stars

This book completely pulled me in from the very first chapter.

Emery heads back to her small hometown after burning out from city life and dealing with a cheating ex, planning to take over her grandmother’s antique shop and start fresh. The only problem is Knox, the one person she hoped she’d never see again and the boy who broke her heart years ago. Knox is trying to fix his reputation and prove he has changed, and somehow they end up in an arrangement that was supposed to help them both.

I absolutely loved everything about this.

Tyra Lynn did such an amazing job with these characters that I felt invested almost immediately. Emery’s pain felt real and understandable, and Knox’s growth felt genuine. You can really feel their history in every conversation, which makes the tension and the softer moments hit even harder.

And the banter? Insane. In the best way.

I was actually laughing out loud at some scenes. Their chemistry is so natural, playful, and sharp that every interaction was fun to read. Nothing felt forced or cheesy, which can happen a lot with romance.

I’m also pretty picky with romance books and I don’t usually rate them very high, but this one hit the spot in every area. The writing was seamless, the pacing was perfect, and I genuinely could not put it down. Even the spicy scenes, which I normally skim, were handled so well and actually added to the story instead of feeling unnecessary.

The only thing that threw me off a little was their ages. I pictured them closer to 28, so finding out they were only 24 definitely made me side eye for a second.

I fully devoured this book. The stayed-up-too-late, just-one-more-chapter, can’t-stop-thinking-about-it-after kind of devoured.

I’m not listing tropes because I feel like they’d spoil the experience, but just know it checked every single box for me and I cannot recommend it enough.

4 stars for me.

Emery Bennett inherits her grandmother’s antique shop in the town where she spend a summer that left her with broken heart.Years passed and the last thing she expects is Knox Cooke coming to help her with broken truck.Knox looks like man now,not the boy who hurt her all those years ago,but his cocky attitude didn't change much. When Knox is in the need of a fake girlfriend they strike a deal,Emery get her truck fixed, and Knox will repair his reputation and get a loan to buy garage from his boss.

With so many feelings past and present involved, will they reach end of the deal?

It was sweet and enjoyable small town second chances romance.Emery had her share of disappointment and I was rooting for her to start this new life without anyone holding her back.Knox was really trying to prove he is serious and changed, even in this pretended relationship he was doing his best.It was fun to read about their struggles not to fall in love again.Told from both POV I could really see that they going through some serious changes in their life for the better. It was a fun, filled with tension, banter and chemistry read, and there was just enough spice to keep me satisfied. My first one by this author and hope to read more. Can't wait for the other story, maybe Marie and Beau?

✨ARC Review✨

This was such a genuinely fun read. I had the best time with it. 🥹

This is one of those small-town romances that feels light and swoony on the surface but carries more depth than you expect. And I loved that balance.

Knox and Emery were everything. Their love language? Banter. Sharp, effortless, tension-filled banter that made every interaction feel alive.

Knox was such a layered character. Behind the easy charm and playful exterior was someone who has spent most of his life trying to fit in, trying to prove himself, trying to be seen for who he truly is. That vulnerability underneath the fun personality made me adore him even more.🫶🏼🫶🏼

And Emery… her holding back, trying to guard her heart because of what happened in the past? It felt so real. The hesitation. The fear of repeating old pain. The way feelings don’t just disappear even when you wish they would.

While this is a fun read, there’s also an underlying message about how quickly society labels and judges people, and how those judgments can quietly shape someone’s identity. That layer added emotional weight to the story in a way I really appreciated.

If you love small-town romances with second chances, fake dating tension, emotional depth, and characters who grow, this one is absolutely for you. 💫

Nostalgic by Tyra Lynn quietly pulls you into Honey Grove with a familiar ache: Emery, raw from loss and bad choices, inherits her grandmother’s shop and the messy history that comes with it. Knox is the town’s favorite rumor—an almost-grown man who needs a shot at responsibility and a co-signer. When their paths cross, the book becomes less about grand gestures and more about small, stubborn work: fixing a shop, earning trust, and deciding whether old love is a ghost to fear or a door to open. This is a small-town romance and second chance romance that leans into real, imperfect people instead of shiny drama.
What stays with me is the growth—both characters learn to carry, not hide, their pasts. Emery’s grief and guarded heart feel honest, and Knox’s awkward attempts at change are oddly endearing. The novel shows how friends, family, and steady effort can help someone become more than their worst moments. Read it as a romance novel, but you’ll also find a quiet story about forgiveness and rebuilding.
If you enjoy relatable characters and slow-burning second-chance romance, add Nostalgic by Tyra Lynn to your TBR. Pick up a copy, visit Honey Grove with Emery and Knox, and see whether you end up cheering for them as much as I did.

I really enjoyed this story! I laughed a lot and I giggled and kicked my feet tons!🥹😍 Our MMC Knox is the local mechanic in Honey Grove and also our FMC's old high school boyfriend she loved when she lived there shortly. He broke her heart and she has hated him ever since. Well our FMC Emery is moving back to Honey Grove to take over her grandmother's antique shop. Emery and her siblings do not have a good relationship with their parents because their love was conditional on how well their children could perform in school and other areas. Emery and Knox haven't seen or spoken to one another in 8 years. When Emery's truck breaks down shortly after moving back to Honey Grove who comes and rescues her and helps fix her truck?? Well Knox Cooke ofc. Knox proposes an agreement to fake date Emery so he can prove to his dad his bad boy days are over and he will co-sign a loan for him. Knox tells Emery if she agrees he will fix her truck for free. Of course the more time they spend together the more they realize their true feelings. This is a wonderful, sweet, romantic, spicy, small town romance full of incredible banter! And we all know I am a fake dating trope lover!😍😍🥵🥵

Nostalgic by Tyra Lynn is the third book in the honey grove series and it was truly exceptional. The world building was stunning and the character development was breathtaking. I absolutely loved learning more and more about Knox and Emery. From the black sheep of her family to the only thing on a man's mind.

I loved seeing how Emery went from closed off and guarded to feeling wanted and loved by, what in the beginning, is seen as the towns player. But not only that, the town player is truly a man who, despite the cliché, truly misunderstood.

I honestly didn't know what to expect going into this book as it's by an author who is new to me, but I am totally going back for the first two books in this series! And shall be keeping tabs on new releases by Tyra in the future.

So if you love small towns, grumpy men who have a soft spot for that special someone and love found in places you'd think it shouldn't be, this one is truly for you!

It is now available on KU, ebook, physical copy and signed editions via her website. Let me know if you've read it or if this seems like one for you!

Thank you to Beyond the Books PR and Tyra Lynn for sending me this advanced copy.

Nostalgic is book 3 in the Honey Grove series, however, it can be read as a standalone.

The is a second chance, fake dating, enemies to lovers, small town romance. I honestly couldn’t put it down. I love everyone of Tyra Lynn’s books that I have read, which is all of them. 😊
Nostalgic takes place in a small town where Emery spent a summer there when she was 16. Knox was the boy who broke that 16 year old’s heart that summer. Fast forward 8 years later and she finds herself unexpectedly back in that small town, where Knox still lives. Her plan is to avoid him, but after running into him the very first night they realize that they can both help each other out. Knox wants something from his dad and Emery needs some extra money to start over, so together they devise a plan to fake date to each get what they want.

I loved the back and forth between these two main characters and they each felt very real to me. I would definitely recommend this book to read.

Also please tell me there is going to be a book 4. I need Marie and Beau’s story!!!!!

Oh I love this book so much!! Nostalgic really is a beautifully crafted tale of second chances. It is set in the quaint backdrop of a small town that feels both familiar and daunting. Emery journey back to Honey Grove to take over her late grandmother’s antique shop is a heartfelt exploration of healing and rediscovery, especially as she confronts her past with Knox. Their fake dating arrangement adds a delightful twist and brings humor, plentiful banter and tension to their interactions.

Lynn's writing captures the emotional complexity of rekindled relationships, balancing the weight of old wounds with the promise of new beginnings. The chemistry between Emery and Knox is undeniable and it helps make their fears and struggles feel real and relatable. While the plot may follow some familiar tropes, Lynn's engaging storytelling and well developed characters elevate it beyond the ordinary.

Thank you to Beyond the Book PR and Tyra for providing me with a copy of Nostalgic. As always, my opinions are my own.

Emery headed home to take over her mother’s antique shop after leaving the bad things and the jerk guy behind. What she doesn’t expect is Knox, the guy who shattered her heart years ago, to still have an effect on her. Angry, and not wanting anything to do with him…however, Knox remembers what he did, needs to fix his repeating and prove to his father that he’s a better person. He asks for Emery’s help with a fake dating plan. She reluctantly agrees.
These two, omgosh. He still loves her so much. She’s got walls higher than the Empire State Building. Can’t say I blame her. But the more time these two spend together, she sees a wonderful man in him. Her walls slowly start to crumble. The emotions, the hurt, the being unsure and unwilling to be hurt again…Emery went through a lot. I fell in love with these two. The way they were slowly able to fix things and find that genuine love that was always there.

ARC Read (recieved from beyondthebookspr)

Can I say how refreshing this read was. Easy to read, Lovable Characters, Cute Story and a very fun setting. I devoured this read in a day.

Knox is the character who grew and probably became one of the most lovable characters I was rooting for. From being misunderstood for not being responsible to finding someone he loves so much. Emrey on the other hand had to go through so much and moving into honeygrove where again she might bump into her past. She was running but then the whole deal between her and knox. It just made things so easy for them to move and understand themselves and their feelings for each other. The siblings are also so lovable. I still am dealing with how I feel after reading this cute cozy read. I would definitely recommend everyone to read this because it's going to make you feel like falling in love . Especially everytime when Knox called her Bambi I blushed so hard🥹🤍

This book is a small town and second chance romance. The book revolves around Knox and Emery who are so beautifully written by the author.

Knox and Emery both of them are absolutely cute since the beginning of the book. Knox is someone from whom your parents warn you to stay away yet he is the one you would want to be with. His character was so good. The guy was head over heels for Emery yet the stupid part of his brain realised it late. I love the way he was always there for Emery and helped her. The plan for fake dating was I think one of the best decisions they made for each other. Emery is the girl with a nice heart she is written so nicely. I love her throughout the book. Her love for Knox at the end of the book.

There were so many cute scenes in the book. The teasing, the banter, the cute scenes, the side characters and all of the things in the book were so good. I love the confession part of the book so muchhh.

First, thank you to Tyra Lynn and Beyond the Books PR for this ARC in exchange for an honest review.
This is book three in the Honey Grove series, but it can definitely be read as a standalone. Emery Bennett is ready for a reset. After her ex’s infidelity and the burnout of city life, she inherits her grandmother’s antique shop in the small town where she once had the summer of her life. It’s also where Knox Cooke, the guy who broke her heart years ago, still lives. When circumstances push them into a fake relationship to help repair Knox’s reputation in Honey Grove, old feelings start creeping back in.
I absolutely devoured this book. It’s everything I love…small town, second chance, and fake dating all wrapped into one. Knox and Emery were the sweetest, and their banter was so cute. Watching Knox grow throughout the story was one of my favorite parts.
I am looking forward into checking out the rest of this series!

Nostalgic feels like flipping open an old journal — emotional, soft, and deeply evocative. Tyra Lynn leans into memory and longing in a way that’s more reflective than dramatic, making this story feel like a gentle wind of recollection and introspection.

The characters are grounded and relatable, especially in how they carry moments from the past into their present decisions. There’s a quiet strength in the way emotional threads are woven throughout the narrative, giving a sense that every choice, regret, and joy adds up to who we are.

This isn’t a story about explosive twists — it’s about the slow pull of memory, how the past lingers, and how we make peace (or don’t) with who we used to be. For readers who enjoy introspective, character-driven tales with emotional depth and bittersweet resonance, this one delivers beautifully.

I want another book on this couple. Knox and Emery had such a fun playful banter and I ate it up. I love how the author brought back different POVs for this novel, it really helped show the character development. This is a small town romance where two people who had an unfortunate romance in their past (their teen years), have a forced proximity situation in the present timeline, and have to learn to trust each other again, (and end up loving each other again). I really could feel how Knox was trying to change his imagine and be more mature. I also loved how Emery was described, how her style and demeanor changed in the different timelines. This novel just had so many realistic yet complex layers.

Nostalgic was a good book overall and it kept my entire attention the entire time. The only thing about it was that some of it was predictable and I wish the characters had a bit more depth to them. While this may not have been my most favorite book, I do highly recommend it to readers who enjoy second chance romance and the fake dating trope. I feel that Knox and Emery are good for each once they got over their past and current issues. I also feel like there is enough material for a fourth book that involves Emery’s sister. Overall 3 ⭐️ and 1.5 🌶️

Disclaimer: I haven’t read any of Tyra’s books prior to Nostalgic. I received a gifted review copy from Beyond the Books PR. All opinions are my own.

3.5 stars!!!

Was fortunate enough to read an arc for this book and I quite enjoyed it! Finished it in one sitting! It was very easy to read and the scenes flowed flawlessly into one another.
I’m not an avid fan of second chance romance however I quite enjoyed how it was done here. I think the fake dating trope really helped me get into the book because that’s one of my favourite tropes.
It had everything you’d expect from a small town romance - however I would have liked to see a bit more depth from main characters. Their interactions were great to witness, but the buildup was missing for me.

Having said that, I did fall in love with Knox and Emery and was rooting for them throughout! The banter and the tension is what made this book for me - so well done and lovely to read!

Thank you so much for this ARC
This is the second book I read by Tyra Lynn and I really enjoyed this story, it’s funny and easy to read.
Emery is back to town to be in charge of her grandma’s antique shop. She’s avoiding the boy who broke her heart when she’s a teenager, until her truck broke and after calling the shop, Knox showed up to help her. They haven’t spoken in a long time and Emery’s still mad at him. Knox never thought he’ll see her again so he’s using her truck to chitchat with her. But, he’ll need her help to convince the town he’s now serious and trustworthy to own the shop so he proposed that they should fake date all summer to get the loan he needs to buy it.
Their time together make they know each other as an adults and give the chance to apologise for the past. When they start feeling like they’re healing, they’ll give a second chance to love.

The story of Knox and Emery is the perfect read for anyone who loves small-town romances. This book felt like a warm blanket on a quiet evening-comforting, familiar, and deeply emotional in the softest way.It reminded me how sometimes the things that matter the most in life are the people you love and the places that quietly hold your heart. No matter where you go in the world, there’s always that one place that pulls you back the place that feels like home, like a piece of you never really left.💌🤌🏻
It reminded me of how teenage years feel like a roller coaster and how you transform as a person with time.

And honestly, who doesn’t love a second-chance trope that makes you believe timing really is everything?💗💗

I have LOVED Honey Grove ever since Wren started our journey there.
Emery is a city girl looking for a do over in her late grandmother's small town. Knox is a playboy who is trying to repair his image after a small town scandal.
Oh, and they were summer teenage sweethearts, with a not so great ending.
Emery and Knox (Oh my boy, Knox) definitely keep the will-they/won't-they vibe going strong throughout the book.
I am a sucker for second chance romances and this book nails it. Readers get the realistic growth of teenagers to adults with anxiety, insecurities, and issues while also navigating a fake dating situation.
All around chaos which means fun❤️

Such a good read!! I laughed, I giggled & kicked my feet & threw my hands! Knox is the town mechanic and also FMC's old HS BF. Of course 🙄 he broke her heart and she has hated him ever since. Emery is moves back to take over her grandmother's antique shop. Emery and her siblings do not have a good relationship with their parents. When Emery's truck breaks down guess who comes and rescues her?? Knox proposes an agreement to fake date Emery so he can prove to his dad his bad boy days are over and he will co-sign a loan for him. Knox tells Emery if she agrees he will fix her truck for free. Of course the more time they spend together the more they realize their true feelings. This is a sweet, romantic, spicy, small town romance full of incredible banter!

I loved Emery and Knox so much! Emery moves to a small town to take over her grandmother's antique shop, little does she know it will be more than that. Her truck breaks down and the guy at the shop who is going to fix it is non other than the one who got away. It gets a little awkward between them, but then they have these cute banter sessions. When they made the deal, I knew where it was gonna go! At first it seems like they are "acting" out dating each other, but it comes so natural to them. I actually liked that Emery was the grumpy one, it's usually always the men. She is a spitfire and I am here for it. Knox makes himself seem like a macho man, but he is the total opposite of that. I love their dynamic and it just gets better the whole way through. The ending was really wholesome!

Okay, everyone, I LOVE my girl @authortyralynn, and she did NOT disappoint with Knox's story!

I was so incredibly invested in Knox and Emery's story from the very first chapter. When reading Tyra's work, you know you're getting a raw, emotional, and giddy story. She nailed the second chance & fake dating tropes with such a heartwarming, witty, and hot as f*ck mechanic 🥵

Tyra's writing is so good and addicting. She writes such real relateable and authentic characters combined with short chapters always leave me wanting more.

If you're looking for your next small town, emotional, heartwarming, and giddy romance series, look no further and check out the Honey Grove series.
