Snowed in with My Firefighter Ex: A Sweet Small Town Romantic Comedy

Rate this book
I get rescued and snowed in with my ex.
Now he’s fixing my lodge and apparently…my heart.

After losing Dad, I take over his lodge.
No staff, zero guests, and a mountain of bills.
Trying to keep his dream alive.

One kitchen fire later, Kyle Coleman shows up in full firefighter glory.
My first heartbreaker. The last person I should ever fall for again.
Now a town hero with a habit of rescuing me
whether I ask or not...and I definitely didn’t.

I’m all business, he’s all heart.
He keeps showing up, fixing my roof, coaching me through the Santa Run.
He smiles like he knows he’s trouble.

After one blizzard, one snowed-in rescue, one kiss...
the walls I’ve built melt.
I fall again, faster than December snow.

But when an accident knocks the hero off his feet,
he shuts me out to protect me.

If I let him go this time, I’ll lose more than Dad’s dream.
I’ll lose the one man who’s ever set my heart on fire.

Snowed in with My Firefighter Ex is a heartmelting, flirty, slow-burn sweet romcom filled with cozy banter, second chances, and Christmas magic. Expect swoon, sparks (without the spice), and a feel-good happily ever after that’ll warm you faster than a cup of cocoa by the fire. Each book in the Sprinkles of Christmas Love interconnected series can be read as a standalone, perfect for curling up with a blanket and getting lost in a festive escape.

This was a sweet story about an innkeeper and a firefighter finding their way. The way to fulfilled dreams, the way home, and the way back to each other.

Abby is back and trying to keep the inn her father built going, but it’s been an uphill slog and she’s ready to collapse under the weight.

Kyle is the firefighter that broke her heart, and now he’s busting back in, putting out the kitchen fire and hoping to stir the embers of their love story.

Both tend to run when life gets difficult. But both have learned how important it is to stay. Can these two overcome the past and current obstacles in their way?

Fun characters, a beautiful setting, and a Hallmark vibe come together for a wonderful holiday story. My only disappointment was the two of them getting physical and moving in together. But I’m sure I’m in the minority.

I received an advance copy from the publisher. I’m under no obligation and my review has not been solicited.

This was my first true Christmas book, and I ABSOLUTELY loved it!!! I had everything: romance, friendship, found family, heartache, closure, healing, etc. This book was everything and more. I loved the plot and how Evelyn intertwined everything together. I loved the story of a lodge that was getting a whole new makeover. I love a good story that brings everyone together. Snowed in with My Firefighter Ex did just that; it brought happiness, joy, and all the rest of the emotions. I definitely have to give this a 5-star read. Snowed in with My Firefighter Ex exceeded all my expectations by far. I definitely would read this book every Christmas.

Thank you, Evelyn, for bringing this book to us!

“Snowed In With My Firefighter Ex” by Evelyn Tanner

-A cozy, uplifting second-chance romance perfect for curling up with on a wintry night. I received a free copy and am voluntarily sharing my honest thoughts.

Abby’s return to her family’s lodge brings her face-to-face with Kyle, the firefighter who once broke her heart but never stopped caring. A snowstorm traps them together, letting slow-burn tension, tender banter, and holiday warmth gently rekindle what they lost.

Their journey toward trust and healing unfolds in a charming small town filled with Christmas sparkle and supportive friends.

Wow! To say this book was fantastic would be an insult! I am ready to dive back in and reread it!! Abby, strong but overwhelmed, is back in her hometown trying to run her father's lodge. It's been hard and she feels like she is drowning trying to keep his dream going. Kyle, firefighter town hero and Abby's HS love, shows up at the lodge when she accidentally sets a fire!! Talk about a second chance meet-cute! It was awesome. I loved these two. Their relationship started rocky and had its ups and downs but it was worth going on the journey with them. I laughed, cheered, cried, hoped, and swooned right along with them. Now I want a 5 yrs later update!!!

This book was great. A great second chance romance. The two main characters, Abby and Kyle were high school sweethearts, that broke up after graduation when Abby was going to go to college and Kyle left town. Abby is back after her father’s death to take over his inn and accidently has started a kitchen fire. Kyle, now back in town, is a firefighter, and considered a town hero for a rescue he had done. This story had everything. A strong, sassy woman even though she was grieving. Great emotional depth, put plenty of humor. I received a free ARC of this book via BookSprout and am voluntarily leaving my review.

She's trying to keep her father's dream alive but never expected to come face to face with the man that once broke her heart. Now he is fixing things and tearing down the walls she has around her heart. When they get snowed in together all the barriers she had in place collapses. Will Abby and Tanner's close proximity have them revisiting their past for a second chance to happiness. This small-town romance had me all caught up in these two.

Great story. I really loved how Kyle is so supportive and insistent that he isn’t going anywhere. Abby struggles to believe him. It is impressive that after the fire Abby is so inspired to remake the lodge. The part where she returns the carabiner to him as his compass home is touching. Together they can weather whatever comes.

This is a story about Abby taking over her family lodge after her father passed away. Her high school ex is now a firefighter and is determined to help her. Kyle wants a second chance with Abby and wants to prove to her that he won’t run away this time. This was a sweet story of second chances and fighting for love.
