Cabin Clause
She bought a cabin. She didn’t plan on the woman who came with it.
K-9 officer Kezia Langston emptied her savings to buy a cabin on Mistletoe Mountain. The same one her family rented every Christmas. She fought hard in the bidding war to win the property. But when Kez shows up, she discovers her ex from a decade ago…with her own set of keys in hand. The last time Kez saw Charlotte, she was marrying someone else.
Charlotte Harrington, a renowned traveling boudoir photographer, has spent years capturing beauty around the world. She’s now ready to transform the perfect cabin into a luxury Bed & Boudoir retreat. But when she locks eyes with Kezia Langston, the gorgeous police officer who looks at her like she wants to ruin her all over again, sparks ignite as she claims to own it too. Charlotte sure as hell isn’t giving up the cabin. It doesn’t help that every argument ends with them standing too close, breathing a little too hard.
A conflicting clause in each contract means neither can force the other out.
Between stolen glances, a corgi puppy with a sock fetish, and dark nights that leave them with nothing but each other, second chance flames threaten to reignite.
As snow falls on Mistletoe Mountain, old secrets surface and Kez and Charlotte must decide if this cabin—and the love they left behind—is worth fighting for one more time.
This second chance sapphic holiday romance novella features only one bed, a chaotic corgi, delicious sexual tension, and a happily ever after.

Alrighty babes, if you're looking for a sapphic holiday romance that’s fast, flirty, and full of snowed-in second chances, Cabin Clause by Frankie Fyre is the spicy little treat your TBR needs like... yesterday.
The setup? Holiday perfection. Kezia—hot, broody K-9 cop with a soft spot for tradition—buys a cozy cabin on Mistletoe Mountain, thinking it’s her fresh start. Except surprise! Her ex-girlfriend Charlotte is there. With her own set of keys. Yeah. This cabin has contract has a clause that sets up second-chance romance so messily and I was so here for the sexy holiday drama.
Charlotte is this globe-trotting boudoir photographer with big boss energy, and Kez? Total golden retriever (but with a corgi sidekick) with a grudge. Put them in one cabin with only one bed, a corgi that’s way too obsessed with stealing socks, and unresolved tension from a breakup ten years ago? BABES. It’s giving forced proximity, it’s giving “I still dream about you,” it’s giving snowed-in smooch fest.
Now listen, this is a novella, so yes, the romance moves quick, but it’s got a good blend of steam and sweetness. Frankie Fyre gives us a grab-a-blanket-and-a-cup-of-cocoa kinda read with this holiday novella. Or maybe… a glass of wine and a playlist of sad lesbian love songs. Your call.
Also can we please talk about that cover?? It’s adorable. It basically seduced me into reading the book and I regret nothing.
So if you want holiday vibes, low angst, second chances, sapphic smooches, and a chaotic corgi who deserves his own novella, honestly?? Cabin Clause is the wintery little getaway you’ve been craving. Quick, steamy, and utterly delightful. Throw it in your tote bag and read it in one snowy afternoon—you'll be smiling the whole time. ❄️💋
P.S. If you’re not weak for the “only one bed” trope, are you even on sapphic Bookstagram?

This was literally the best romance novella I’ve read. Yes, I wanted more, but that’s because it’s a novella. Frankie did such an amazing job with making a novella feel like a fleshed out, complete story, if that makes sense.
I loved both main characters. They were genuine people who loved each other but the timing wasn’t right. Their chemistry was off the charts. I felt like the author did a good job with the plot! It had depth but didn’t feel too serious for a novella. It was the perfect balance. I’d love to see a Rory and Paige story too!

Sexy Holiday Second Chance Romance
This was a hot, sexy second chance romance set on Mistletoe Mountain, North Carolina. It features K9 officer, Kez, boudoir photographer, Charlotte, and cute K9 puppy-in-training, a Corgi named Ember who loves socks. Kez and Charlotte are reunited after ten years on Mistletoe Mountain when they both bid on a cabin and both women “win” the bid. This leads to an initial dispute and hard feeling between the two women. The story goes on to tell how this situation gets resolved. Ember was a big hit in the story!

What a great Christmas Present to me!
Frankie Frye has just delivered a delectable treat in time for Christmas! My heart is as warm as this story. Her characters are well developed, even the corgi has personality to spare! The setting is perfect, who doesn’t dream of being snowbound with the love of their life? Thanks Frankie, Merry Christmas.

Cabin fever
This is the perfect remedy for the holiday doldrums. Charlotte and Kez get a second chance at getting it right when they unknowingly get into a bidding war on the same cabin. This book has a little of everything you want in a holiday romance.... star crossed lovers, forced proximity, quirky friends, a cute puppy and just the right amount of spice!

My first book from this 2026 was a very quick read. Although it was not my first language, it was very easy to read, I enjoyed it too much and I hope to continue reading more books, it was quite nice. If you are looking for a book of second chances, quick love and romance, this is the right one, very little drama.

Another great book by Frankie Fyre, the only problem I have sigh, is she isn't writing enough books. I love her style of writing and she's one of those writers that when you read one you want to read all. This was a nice stuck in a cabin together book that does not disappoint with funny lines and spicy scenes.

Love the Characters
Frankie Fyre has created two incredibly lovable main characters. Ember was a definite hit! It was fun to read about Kez and Charolette’s relationship. The epilogue was the icing on the Christmas sugar cookies.

This was a fast-pased and snowy sapphic romance. Despite it's short length, the author still made us love the characters.
