A goddess made him an offer he couldn't refuse. Now reality will bend to his will.
Aaro was stuck in a dead-end life until a divine beauty appeared with a magical powers, a new world, and a chance to matter. One decision later, he's wielding magic that defies every limit he's ever known in a world more vibrant and real than earth ever was.
But power without purpose is meaningless, and in this world just surviving isn’t easy. As he serves the goddess Nyxaria, just protecting her followers will take more than learning new spells in a realm where war looms and ancient powers stir, because being chosen by a goddess comes with a price.
Good thing Aaro's ready to pay it.
Divine patron. Unlimited potential. Devoted companions. Rising tide against him.
How to describe this book? Well, mainly it was fun. The MC is insanely OP and has a harem (sort of). Starts off with a goddess approaching a man on earth giving him an opportunity. She has a follower on another world, a different version of him that is about to die. With his permission, she can transport him to the other world which has magic. All he needs to do is protect her followers. He negotiates the magic he wants and she agrees.
Magic on the new world is all about visualization of what you want, will power, and mana. With his mana type (energy) he can absorb heat and light to refill his mana so that part is no problem. He has also played so many games on earth that he has an encyclopedia of magic spells to choose from. It starts off a little slow with him learning his way around magic and then what he can do just explodes. It was almost too much and too easy. Almost, okay maybe a little too much even for an OP MC. The harem is just part of the story but there weren't any graphic scenes, so don't put it in the erotica category.
Overall, a very fun read, much like this author's other work. Kind of simple, over the top powers and hot women. Just fun.
A pretty light read, no real surprises if you read the blurb. What I particularly liked was the FTB sex scenes. I like an MC to get some, but I don't need the play-by-play. Mechanics of the magic are interesting, as will the efforts of the MC to keep the powers that be from fucking with him when they realize everything he can do.
Good enough that I could read a book 2, so that gets it a 4. As 1st book of the year it isn't a hard bar to rise above, but it was entertaining.
This was just absurdly silly especially if one has read a few prominent prior works (over the last few decades) in the general genre that this book falls in. I guess we now live in the copy pasta AI sauce age.
Audio narration is subpar with too many errors. Too often it's as if a Virtual Voice were reading misspelled words along with mispronouncing words due yo poor programming.
Good mix of story and fantasy elements. I like the use of knowledge from past fantasy games and stories. Also a fan of an OP MC that uses his brain to solve problems and doesn’t put up with nonsense!
