If you are just starting your financial journey, this book isn't for you. If, however, you are on your way or already at the point of financial independence, this is a great reflective read. I highly recommend it. This is not a financial book, it is a book about you, your relationship with money, and how you use your wealth to shape a life that is based on choice and meaning.
My husband and I are less than a handful of years from complete FI and there aren't many books that focus on that element of transition between work, choosing to work, and choosing to stop work completely.
It is a common sense, easy read, but don't let that detract from the value of insights and reflective opinions and activities this book offers from somebody who is "an everyday" person who has achieved FI living on that other side.
Dave, if you ever read these reviews, thank you for writing a book on the 'in between' time and sharing your insights and thinking about defining a meaningful life and money's role in it. It was a great reflective exercise and we are more excited and deliberate now in our plans for FI and what pathways we can take to refine what our days and lives will look like as we begin to choose to work rather than need to 😊
