For all he’s done for all that darkness he thinks might intimidate me…he’s wrong. Mariko ( ACE), might be haunted by the lives he’s led and taken, but I see in him something that matches my own shadows. My sharp tongue keeps him on his toes, never letting regret find a home between us. He’s the only one I want. But old ghosts my own, terrifying, and relentless rise up in the form of my parents’ threats, forcing me to leave. My heart aches with the hope, the desperate prayer, that Mariko finds a way to bring me back. Even if he can’t, I can live with it, as long as he and everyone I love remains safe. ACE might have been willing to burn down his world for me, but in the end, I was the one who gave up everything to save him. One Vow, One Confession, One Heartbeat.
This book starts strong and intense with Rina running away from her abusive parents. But she doesn’t get far when she is surrounded by vehicles, and a very handsome man scoops her up. Now she is “trapped” in another type of prison, but this one is the lap of luxury. This mystery man calls himself ACE and tells her it’s his job to keep her safe. She doesn’t know what to make of it but it’s hard to resist the pull he has on her. Her siblings got away, but she wasn’t quick enough, so she was stuck for another 2 years, enduring everything that her parents threw at her. Is ACE really the person who will save her from her troubled past, or will her parents find her and make her pay? The banter between ACE and Rina was amazing. She definitely kept him on his toes was not a typical damsel in distress that needed saving. She also did not want to be taken care of. She felt she could handle it on her own, but was willing to let him do it.
I loved everything about this book. It was definitely a book that sucked you in from the beginning and didn't want to let you go til the end.
Rina has just runaway from her abusive parents her siblings got away from them 2 1/2 years ago she told them to go but she couldn’t get out in time Now 2 1/2 years on she finally got away and is running for her life when someone calls to her and she’s so scared she runs away and the chase her down, blocking her in by cars she begs for her life He tells her that his not with her parents and will keep her safe can she trust this man called Ace or is it another trap to take her back to her parents only time will tell
Another great read by Michelle! I have read almost all of her books. Yes, I’m obsessed with her intoxicating stories. Ace and Rina’s story starts with an unexpected encounter. That encounter was undeniable fate! From the beginning, something inside Rina’s gut makes her feel like she can trust Ace. He gives her time to heal and has the patience of a saint waiting for her to become his. Their story has so much sorrow but is balanced out with overwhelming joy. Definitely shed some tears, sad and happy ones! “A&R=Until Eternity”
This is my first book by this author and wow, Ace and Rina got to me. He carries so much darkness from his past, but Rina never lets it scare her off, their chemistry was off the charts and I loved how their sharp edges actually fit together, like they understood each other better than anyone else ever could.
The sacrifice, the heartbreak, and the way love turns into protection, this story was so good. One vow, one confession, one heartbeat.
I shall definitely be picking up more from this author.
This was a good book. It started a little slow I thought. I had some unanswered questions. I enjoyed the development of the main characters.
Tina and Ace go through so much in this book. They have different challenges to face. Tina makes great strides while being with Ace. She becomes a strong FMC.

Ace by Michelle Ramirez. This is Mariko/Ace and Rina’s story.
Rina has never had an easy life. Her parents were abusive, her siblings got away from them 2 ½ years ago when Rina told them to go, run, but Rina didn’t get out in time with them. But now it was her turn, after someone calls her, Rina’s so freaked out that she finally has the courage to run from her parents herself, but someone she doesn’t know searches for her, chases her down, and finally blocks her in and Rina begs for her very life.
This person, a guy Rina has never met or even seen before tells Rina that he’s not with her parents and that he just wants to keep her safe.
Now Rina’s wondering if she can trust this man who calls himself Ace or if this is yet another trap set up in order to take her back to her parents? She takes a leap of faith and trusts that only time will tell.
I love all the twists and turns that Michelle puts us through with Mariko/Ace and Rina in order to finally find their HEA. But, every one of them is worth it.
This is a great read and is so worth it. I love Michelle’s writing and I can’t wait to read what ever she writes next.
Ace is Mariko/Ace and Rina's story and my first read by this author. In the beginning the story felt like it started in the middle or something. Rina was running but we don't know from what, Ace is suddenly there to protect her, but again, from what. This story took a bit to get into and once I did it was ok. This couple definitely jumps through hoops to find their hea but it does come.
This book is full of heartbreak, sacrifice, darkness, protection, abuse, intense moments, love and so much more. Your heart will instantly go out to ace and Rina , as they both go through so much and both fine comfort in each other. They are meant to be together, their chemistry is instant and hot. Time will heal and together they can face whatever comes. Highly recommend.
