Kieran Ashford destroyed the best thing that ever happened to him the night he walked away from his fated mate.
He had his reasons—good ones. His omega deserved better than a broken alpha drowning in his own darkness. So Kieran did the cruelest thing he he rejected their bond in front of everyone who mattered, then spent five years trying to forget the look in Damon’s eyes.
Now Damon works for his company. They’ve perfected the art of pretending the bond doesn’t exist, of staying professional while their instincts scream at them to close the distance. It’s working. Mostly.
Until Damon’s heat hits without warning, and there’s only one alpha he trusts to get him through it.
Three days in Kieran’s apartment changes everything. Kieran finally proves he’s not the monster he feared becoming. Damon finally understands the rejection wasn’t about not wanting him—it was about wanting him too much.
But five years of hurt doesn’t disappear overnight. And wanting each other doesn’t mean they know how to be together. Kieran has spent half a decade becoming someone worthy of a second chance. Damon has spent those same years learning to stand on his own. Now they have to decide if the bond they’ve been fighting is worth the risk—or if some rejections leave scars too deep to heal.
UNCLAIMED is a second-chance omegaverse romance featuring fated mates, heat assistance, a protective alpha determined to do better, and a hard-won happily ever after. No mpreg, no shifting, just two men learning to trust each other again. This is Book 1 in the Knot My Alpha series. Each book features a different couple and can be read as a standalone, though characters appear across the series.
While overall I enjoyed the story, this author really needed some more beta readers and a thesaurus. It was so repetitive, there were several times I had to double check that I wasn’t rereading the same couple pages. Definitely too much use of copy/paste and overuse of the same adjectives and similes to the point of annoyance.
Super repetitive and no cover artist or author’s note which makes me sus. I always think if authors are willing to use AI for their covers what’s to stop them from using it on the writing. Idk but I’m not wasting any more time. Such a shame because “rejected mates” is a common trope in MF romance but I rarely see it in MM romance.
This book desperately needed an editor or a few good beta readers. Issues: -Repetitive language. The same thoughts get repeated numerous times, using the exact same verbiage. -Zero world building/nonsensical world building. We're told this is an ABO world but none of that is addressed outside the characters' designations. Damon's parents are betas but apparently know nothing about "pack dynamics." How is that possible? -Major continuity issue. Kieran's father is dead one chapter, then alive and causing problems in the next. This has been repeatedly mentioned in other reviews and could be fixed fairly easily with a one scene rewrite. -Most of the book was spent at work with them staring at each other through a glass wall....day after day on repeat. -We're told Damon is the next thing to dead because he's been on suppressants too long but then the meds just conveniently stop working and he has a couple rough (not really) heats and then he's fine.
It was a great idea and the writing isn't terrible (outside of the repetition) but there are just too many hot button issues for me. I doubt I'll read more of the series.

Normally I’m not one to review my DNFs and there was nothing horrible about this book but at 67% almost nothing has happened except repetitive chapters about work. And inconsistent backstory.
For example, it’s mentioned earlier on in the story that one of the characters father is dead, but apparently also is alive and separated from his mother? It’s inconsistencies like this that turn me off from completing a story.
Well written, good full story in omegaverse. The meddling brother and heat-suppresant subplots both worked well. Would've liked more scenes (dinners, at bookstore) with all the parents. Heat level just right for me. Made me want to buy next book in the series.
It's a good book. A little repetitive in some parts. But it was a bit inconsistent. Chapter 6 he said his dad died 3 years ago and he didnt go to the funeral. Yet in chapter 13, his dad showed up at his mother's dinner. And that they'd divorced 3 years ago.

My heart went out to Damon because he didn't understand what really caused Kieran to react the way he did. But I'm glad they both got it together. Loved Felix though. Can't wait for his story!! Good book!!
A sweet story with a slow burn. A damaged Alpha, A hurt Omega. Time and patience bring them back together and proximity forces them to reconnect and find what they should always have had.
