What I found particularly valuable was the book’s exploration of the psychological processes underlying ADHD symptoms. It helped me better understand not only why certain difficulties arise, but also the practical strategies and resources that can help people manage them in everyday life.
For me, this was one of the book’s greatest strengths: it moves beyond simply describing ADHD and offers a more useful understanding of how people can work with their symptoms and develop strategies that fit their individual circumstances. As a clinician, I found this especially helpful because it has given me additional ways to support patients with practical, realistic advice rather than focusing solely on symptom reduction.
